Rook had been training for over a month now, although he could of used this time to further his combat prowess and grow stronger, he didn't consider this a waste. Although she seemed to pay more attention to Kimba and ignore him entirely, he was pleased to not get another tongue lashing from her. Rook wasn't happy with the criticism he had received over his inventory list. Just because my sword is made of metal and I wear it on my back doesn't make it armor. Walking over to the display case Rook couldn't help but wonder what taking an inventory of her shop had to do with crafting armor. As he stood in front of the display case he was dismayed but how the items were organized. From what he could tell she had laid them out by rarity instead of item type, the exact opposite of how she had asked him to categorize them. I wonder if this is payback for her having to help me in the woods? he wondered to himself. Rookie aye? Growing up Rook was always the first one to crack a joke as soon as an opportunity presented itself. A character trait some found amusing while others found annoying. Rook could easily tell that the shop owner seemed off put by his presence. Noticing that she was also an orange player, he wondered if it was his tag that seemed to upset her. "Hello, I was hoping to purchase two uncommon recovery crystals I noticed you had in stock." Noticing the players much higher level and the obvious disdain she had for him, Rook hoped to conclude his business quickly and get on the road.

Walking into the shop, Rook was happy to find such a fine alchemy shop that was accessible to orange players. Rook watched as a blur came plummeting down from the tree tops. Trying to get a bearing on what it was, it didn't take long for him to realize it was Ariel. Listening to her give him a bit of a lecture for acting so foolishly, Rook replied. "I know... Quick Question, if you roll a BD of 9 and there is a -1 to BD debuff in play, you still hit for a critcal even if the value drops to 8 after the debuff correct?

Continuing his journey through the woods, it wasn't long before he spotted another small wolf. As Rook looked to Kimba, he thought about the options Ariel had laid out to him. Although the task of killing these beasts would certainly be made easier with a lion at his side, he didn't have a guarantee Kimba would actually help. In addition it would add an unknown variable to the situation, although it seemed pretty easy now to stay on Kimba's good side by simply giving her some attention.
