No. It just seemed that way. You level rather fast at lower levels and then it takes more posts the higher you get.

What Mayuri said, you level fast at low levels. I blasted my way to level ten in a couple of days. In the past few days though, I've slowed down. :)

A good item wouldn't have any stats, if you mean to say "good" as in quality level (like good, uncommon, rare, perfect). The only thing you would get from wielding it would be the block skill, assuming you have block, and that essentially just works like evasion.

Shields are for bashing! Not for blocking! XD
