  1. Alas, Jevi was a bit too worried about what lurked beneath the green sea she waded through and found no materials. Pushing through the grass once more, the woman found solace on the ground where she could actually see her feet. Of course, that did not mean that she was completely safe from those within the grass. A rustle from a few feet into the grass startled Jevi, and she quickly turned around. "Shit shit shit..." she said to herself under her breath, taking a couple of steps backwards. Another rustle, closer.. and another.. until finally, whatever lurked beyond her sight was about to emerge. Jevi quickly threw up her fists and clenched her eyes shut, ready for the early grave that would be bestowed upon her.

Once she realized she was still living and breathing, she managed to open one of her eyes. Before her was simply a squirrel.. one of its cheeks distended by something in its mouth, and in its arms.. a material? "...Gimme that!" Jevi shouted, trying to frighten the animal. With a squeak, it spat out the second material that was in its mouth, dropped the first, and ran back into the tall grass. "Hehe, sucker."

  2. "Hell yeah, off to a good start." Jevi said with a smile on her face. It wasn't usual that she would find two materials in the same spot, so it seemed that miner wasn't kidding that this place was a prime spot for gathering. After slipping the items into her inventory, Jevi continued her search. There was a lot of overgrowth in certain parts of the courtyard, more so in the areas less traveled it seemed. The path leading to the front door, around a central - now dried up - fountain, and some benches seemed to hold little to no grass at all. Where Jevi decided to sift through, however, was about knee high. "I swear to God if something jumps out at me.." she growled, an empty threat to the tall green grass at her feet. Of course, this was a terrible place to search for materials. If she really wanted to check the grass, she would need to cut it with her sword... oh wait, she couldn't bring her's. Bastard Cardinal...

  3. A short walk outside of the settlement of Taft brought Jevi to her destination. The abandoned mansion was not as bad as she had first made it out in her mind. The building was a bit run down, but it didn't look haunted like the one her old guild had gotten trapped in. However, the mansion itself was not Jevi's destination, but the overgrown courtyard before it. The placement of the old abode being right against the mountain side made it perfect to be able to find the proper crafting materials she would need. Stretching her arms out to the side, and then alternating across her chest, Jevi strut forward, "Time to get to work."

Right off the bat, while scanning the farthest fence closest to the mountain side, Jevi had found large pieces of stone. Pushing through the rubble, she was able to find two materials perfect for some new weapons.

  4. So.. if she was level.. what, 26 now? That meant she could use gear up to the second tier. Second tier meant materials of that tier, which could be found on Floor Eleven. Easy enough.. now she just needed to find that location. Going into her inventory, the woman went to don her heavy armor and sword... only to find that, of course, she could not. "Oh fucking..." she sighed heavily. "Fine.. I'll just avoid any monsters I guess." Taking the weapon and armor out of her inventory, she tossed the items across the floor of her forge, before putting on her gray, qipao-style blouse and a pair of black pants.

Stomping out the front door to her shop, Jevi made her way into the town of Fortaleza and warped up to the eleventh floor of Aincrad.

Her visage materialized in the center of the European-styled settlement of Taft. "Guess I should start asking around for this hunting ground."  she said to herself, placing her hands on her hips and looking around for any NPCs that could prove useful. After asking around a bit, a group of farmers just outside of the city's gates sent her in the right direction; an old, abandoned mansion to the Southwest of Taft. Immediately, Jevi felt a chill down her spine.. and she considered dropping the ordeal. However, the farmer reassured her that, aside from some of the wandering monsters, the mansion was shut off from the public, and is mostly peaceful.

So yeah, that sounded like a pretty good place to start. Jevi only hoped other players may be present to keep the wandering mobs off of her back.

  5. It was time to dig herself out of her hole of self pity.

It was time to grow up and be a bit girl, and stop being such a depressed loner all of the time.

It was time to get back into the swing of things.

Jevi had realized her armor and weapon were incredible outdated.. almost to the point where they were simply unusable. She was high enough of a level where she could use some better gear.. but she would need to get her hands on such gear first. There were no other blacksmiths that she was really aware of, and even if she did, her funds were rather low. One thing at a time.

At least, if she had the materials, she could attempt to make better armor and a better sword herself. Maybe that was a good start, finding a place to get her hands on some higher quality materials so she could get back into crafting again. Ah.. but she sucked at gathering.. she had the attention span of a goldfish when it came to searching for materials.

Lucky enough for her, a kind miner enjoying an afternoon beer at a bar in Fortaleza told Jevi of a few places on the 1st, 11th, and 21st Floors where crafting materials were more prominently found. Maybe her luck was turning around after all.

  6. Nimbus was a complete and utter shit show. Any semblance of light from the sky above had been blackened out by storm clouds as dark as the inky rain that fell from them. The black ooze pelted the roofs of cottages, dripping off of the shingles like slimy icicles, stretching to their limit before breaking and joining the slowly growing pool on the ground. Bodies were scattering in any and every direction, NPCs piling into houses and shutting the doors and shutters behind them, not allowing any players entry due to being 'over crowded'.. just damn selfish was more like it.

Remembering that the ooze somehow found a way to climb up her body as it rained down on her, Jevi kept her feet moving. The doors to various abodes and shops slammed shut as she rushed past, a missed opportunity to find easy shelter. Through the roar of the storm, she heard the sound of loud creaking, which turned to cracks and crashes as a poorly built NPC home collapsed under the pressure of the rain. Jevi's golden eyes went wide with shock, but now she was the one feeling selfish as she continued to push on to the center of town.

There, just before her, the stone platform with four tall obelisks on each corner, like a shining beacon of safety. Just stepping onto the platform that housed the teleport gate was sanctuary enough just getting her already soaked feet out of the sludge. "Warp, Fortaleza!" She shouted... Nothing. Frantically, her eyes scanned the scene before her. Still Nimbus. "Warp Floor Five! Floor Six! Fuck just get me out of here!" Not even a spark of the arcane energy that sent players between floors. They were trapped here, left on their own to survive.

All around her, players and NPCs began to become consumed by the dark ink. Many kept moving to avoid possible death, as she was doing. There were some players, however, who put their lives on the line to help others, standing in place for a long while to assist a fallen NPC or fellow player. Jevi had noticed a group of men helping out at a fallen house doing just that. Two of them held each other in an embrace, the black ooze slowly building up their body. Jevi quickly rushed in to help, assisting in freeing the white haired man from the black ooze, hoping someone else could help his companion currently in the dark drink. "Alright lovebirds, nows not the time for mushy gushy if you don't want to die.. or whatever the hell this is."

  7. Just as quirky in person, thats good that he's not afraid to have a sense of humor outside of a message. Jevi thought to herself, her hands sliding into the pockets of her leather jacket. A chuckle escaped through her parted, smirking lips as she freed a hand to move a lonely strand of hair from in front of her face. "Sorry, didn't really make a hitman connection when I first saw you.. Usually not a thought I want to have when showing up to a blind date." she said with a shifted brow, one raised higher than the other.

"Likewise." she responded with a nod, "I'm usually not one for dates.. especially ones set up with a complete stranger. Honestly.. I don't entirely remember signing up for this.. I was probably half asleep after a days work just trying to get food and mainly wanted to get the NPC who organized it to shut the hell up." she coupled her assumption with a laugh, implying a lightheartedness to the situation. "But in all honesty, I needed this. An excuse to get out of the dark and actually enjoy myself."

For the first time since meeting just a few moments ago, the two shared a few long seconds of silence. There was a strange awkwardness in the air, a tension that Jevi could not grasp the meaning to. She could see it in Oscar's face, just a few twinges of emotion as he seemed to process some thoughts in that head of his. Finally, he revealed the bit that had been troubling him, and she could not blame him. The brunette's lips pursed, slowly nodded in understanding as Oscar explained how he was, technically, a taken man. Despite not being completely on game for this date idea, a minuscule portion of Jevi's heart wanted to see where this would go. Hell, she had been hung on Grave for the longest time, and tried to find that love in Ruby but failed there as well.

Laying heavy on the drama, Jevi clasped her hands against her chest, and slightly upturned her head towards the sky, "I can't believe you'd break my heart like that, after all we've been through." And... scene. Dropping the act, Jevi crossed her arms at her chest and smiled a toothy grin, "No worries, I can completely understand. My ex boyfriend just up and left one day without a word. Haven't heard from him since. No break up text or anything. So I know the feeling. And like I said, I could use the company. Now come on, Don Corelone, we've got a date to go on. So, should we start with lunch? Or should we save that for when we get to the arena?"

    @Oscar

  8. Finally, another voice cut through the roar of the pounding rain. Despite the weather growing worse by the minute, Jevi felt a wave of relief crash over her. Picking up her pace a bit more, she trudged through the mud and sludge until she met with the source of the voice. The younger looking, blonde haired player stood outside of the city, responding to Jevi's voice to guide her back to Nimbus. "Thank you. I thought I was done for." she spoke loudly, as to be heard over the whipping wind.

Taking a quick look down at her feet, she noticed that the black ooze that had been raining from the sky was now climbing up her shins, nearing her knees. "The hell?!" Jevi cursed out, taking a step back and kicking her legs as to remove the sludge. "This shit is getting weirder and weirder.." she said as she pushed farther into to city. As she suspected, this was not just an issue outside of Nimbus' walls. The city was in utter chaos, players and NPCs rushing for shelter, some assisting others where they needed help. "I need to get out of here.." Jevi said to herself, realizing the blonde player had rushed off moments after Jevi had stepped foot into the city. Her first thought was to try and rush to the center of town, hopefully this storm wasn't present on another floor.

  9. Feeling satisfied with the outfit she had put on, Jevi looked into the small mirror that hung over the sink. Her fingers combed through her hair a couple of times, catching any of the stray hairs that flopped over the partially shaved part of her head. Yellow eyes then locked with her own reflection, and the woman took in a deep breath. Her nostrils burned from the distinct smell of coal dust and molten iron. Bringing a hand up to the side of her face, she prodded the mirror, as if giving a peer a pep talk. "Don't be a bitch." she simply said to herself, "Try to have a good time." Jevi constantly battled depression, and that, paired with her troubled past, built a hefty brick wall around her already thick skin. After Grave, and her friends in her old guild, she began to tore that wall down.. for a little while at least. The abandonment she felt just replaced those old bricks, and that wall stood tall again. Today, however, maybe she would try to step around it and not let it get in the way.

By the time she left her shop, she had noticed another response from Oscar. He had a few things to take care of before heading up to their destination, so it seemed she had a little bit of time and did not have to rush. Jevi never owned a pet growing up, so she wasn't exactly sure how long it would take to feed a dog. With that in mind, she kept a slightly slower pace walking back into Fortaleza. Nonetheless, she eventually arrived at the settlement, and stepping atop the teleportation platform, she spoke her destination and was off to the 24th floor.

Her eyes took a minute to adjust to the new location; the white light from teleporting, as well as the shining afternoon sunlight of this floor blinded her for but just a moment. When she finally came to, however, she was greeted with a unique sight. A vast sea of clear blue stretched out as far as the eye could see, islands of various sizes speckled the ocean with long bridges connecting many of them. A spark of childish wonder washed over her for a moment as she stepped off the platform, slowly stepping in a circle to gauge the beauty of this floor. Snapping back to reality, she took a quick look around to see if Oscar had arrived... not like she knew what he would look like anyway. One man, in particular, stood out from the rest. Many of the players around wore armor, a few dressed in more casual attire, but not many wore pinstriped suits. He stood alone, as if waiting for someone. Dressed to impress, standing alone, who else could it have been. Stepping up to where the man waited, the brunette cracked a smirk, "Well, now I feel under dressed." she started with a joke, "Oscar, I presume?"

    @Oscar

  10. Wearing heavy armor made it difficult to run at full speed, and with the extra weight of her footfalls, her boots continuously sunk into the quickly forming mud. Jevi brought an arm up to try and shield her eyes from the pelting ink storm, but it was to no avail. The thick rain poured down on her, soaking her hair and soft parts of her outfit. With a snarl, Jevi continued to push forward, sloshing through the muck and water.

Despite how far she ran, it just seemed Nimbus was nowhere to be found. Little did she know just how far out from the settlement she still was. "Is anyone out there?! Hello?!" She called out hopelessly, wondering if she was the only player this far outside of the city's walls. The roar of the constantly pouring rain made it difficult to hear, in the off chance that someone had heard her and was calling back. The only thing she could do was to keep going, and keep hoping she could find Nimbus, or at least another to help her find safety.

  11. The forge did not have much in terms of a shower, since it was not exactly a 'home.' Though, it was the only place Jevi could call home nowadays. She never even tried to save up for a player home and going into town to rent a room in the local inn was just as costly, at least over a long period of time. Her craft could earn her money, if there weren't already so many other blacksmiths in Aincrad willing to do much better work at a faster pace. At the end of the day, however, it was fine, for Jevi was not a materialistic person, and could easily live off of the bare minimum she had in her little smithy. So filling up a basin full of water and taking a clean rag, Jevi began to wipe off the soot and sweat from her person.

Luckily, she did not need to worry about stench in this world, but her conscious would not let her go more than a few days without at least cleaning herself off. She let out a heavy sigh as she looked into her silhouetted reflection in the water, the ripples slowly calming so she could get a better look at herself. Maybe one day she would be able to live a better, happier life, instead of sleeping in a bedroll in the corner of a hot, cramped shop. Her visage was broken as she lowered her cupped hands into the cool liquid, bringing up as much as she could to splash onto her face. As she she stood up straight, and ran her damp fingers through her hair, she received another notification. A response from Oscar, nonetheless.

Continuing to comb her moistened hand through the strands of brunette hair, she opened the message and read over the brief contents. She found herself smirking at his language in the message, at least it seemed like he had some what of a sense of humor. That could hopefully make this less dreadful, maybe even enjoyable. And an arena on Floor 24? That had been the first she had heard of it. She quickly fingered a response.

while food is always a good time, and easy date. 'quaint' definitely isnt a word id use the describe a fun night in my mind.

monster fighting arena on floor 24, on the other hand. now we are talking.

ive never been to that floor before, so ill wait for you at the teleport plaza so i dont get lost.

    ill meet you there soon.

    - Jevi

It had been awhile since she had been out, so she figured wearing something a bit more comfortable and casual for the night would suffice. Unless they were the ones fighting the monsters, of course. She'd cross that bridge when they got there. Taking a quick look through her extra outfits, she decided to wear a pair of black, denim pants with boots, a light grey shirt and a leather jacket.

  12. The sun began to crest over the rolling dunes of sand, painting a dark shadow where the artificial light no longer reached. The blue sky gave way to a darker hue, coupled with shades of purples and oranges. The blistering heat of the desert faded, a chilled air taking its place. A light breeze passed over the sand, like a gentle wave carrying small particles of sand with it. The brunette sat on the ground just outside of her small, domed shop. A woven blanket of blue and white sat on her shoulders shielding his bare arms from the bite of the cold. Jevi was never a fan of the cold, always preferred the heat. Though, spending most of the day in her blazing forge proved to be a bit much to her, so retreating to the outdoors once the sun began to set was just enough to keep her from over heating.

Yellow eyes gazed forward towards the setting sun, looking to a shaded dune as to not look into the bright light for too long. A lot plagued her mind recently, especially loneliness. With her guild now disbanded, she honestly had no idea who to turn to. All of her friends were either dead or off doing their own thing. With a heavy sigh, her knees pulled towards her chest, and her forehead hung, gently resting atop her knees.

She ignored the chime of a notification for just a moment longer, before picking her head up to see. Opening her menu to view the finer details, she saw it was not a message from a friend, but an automated message... the title <Date Night.> "Ah shit.. I forgot I signed up for that.." she said to herself after sucking her teeth. With a few flicks of her finger, she read through the brief message and saw that she was paired with someone named Oscar. "Hm.." she hummed, for she had no idea who that was. Maybe it was for the better that it was someone she had never met before, but at the same time, getting to know someone new was always a bitch.

    hey,

so it looks like we were paired up.

... i'm not really good at this so..

do you want me to meet you somewhere? or should we pick some floor to meet up on?

    - Jevi

With a quick message sent to Oscar, Jevi rose to her feet and brushed the sand off of her pants. "I should.. probably get cleaned up first.."

    @Oscar

  13. The brunette clamped her eyes shut as the inky, black rain poured down her forehead into her eyes. There was no pain, but the thickness caused a mighty discomfort that made it difficult to keep her eyes open, if only for a second. She slowed her run down the side of the mountain to quickly wipe as much of the substance from her eyes as she could, leaving a smear on her face as if thick eyeliner had smudged and run.

The rain continued to pour harder and harder, cutting off her visibility almost entirely. "Fuck this." she cursed to herself under her breath before letting her body drop onto the inclined, rocky surface. Her plated armor and the slickness from the rain helped her slide down the mountainside. Sparks leapt from the impact of her metal pauldrons and the surface, helping her to see just before her a bit more.

The woman finally hit the leveled ground with a hard impact, probably costing her a few points of her health. That was no matter, however, as she needed to keep moving. She had no idea what the point of this storm was, and it didn't seem life threatening so far... but being out of the safe zone on her own with no visibility just spelled trouble for her. Hopefully she would be able to get to the center of Nimbus and warp out of there, or at least find a place to lay low until this passed.

  14. Jevi pushed her brown hair back from in front of her face, letting out a heavy sigh as she did so. "Alright, lets do this." she said through a huff, before grabbing her tools and getting to work. Placing material after material on her workbench, she banged the raw metals into various pieces.. some coming out as something useful, others just becoming wasted pieces of junk. Even then, nothing she could pass as a perfect craft. "Shit.. no one ever buys stuff unless its Perfect quality."  Placing the completed objects on the wall for sale, in case anyone really wanted it at some point, she went back to work.

  16. Despite the coming of fall and the cooler air, the heat of the fifth floor seemed unchanging and just as brutal. Outside of the main settlement, just beyond the safety of the area effect sat the small looking, rounded dome of a smithery. Like an iceberg, smaller on the surface, hid the large workshop that nearly tripled in size from the small abode above. The roaring forge made the dry, desert heat outdoors seem mundane.

Jevi sat crosslegged on the floor, only wearing a pair of pants that stopped mid way down her calves and a strapless tube top that covered her chest. She would never be caught dead wearing something as revealing outdoors, but as she worked in this hell of a forge, it was what she needed to do to avoid dying of heat exhaustion. She did not mind the heat, in all honesty, made her feel alive..definitely despised the cold.

Sitting on the floor, using a sharp dagger that she had crafted, Jevi finished cutting her hair - an undercut on the sides and back, leaving just hair on the top of her head. It wasn't a perfect job, but she liked it. "Alright, time to get to work." She said as she stood, running her hand through her hair to remove any of the extra strands that lingered. Grabbing from her pile of ore and materials, Jevi grabbed her mallet and began to craft.

  17. Being a highly mountainous region, various ores and materials that could be used for smithing were prevalent. Not far outside of Nimbus, maybe a five to ten minute walk from the main settlement, the brunette found herself scrounging through the loose rocks on the side of the mountain for anything she could use. She grunted in disappointment, holding two simple rocks in her hands which she had mistaken for iron before tossing them over her shoulder. "Dammit.. am I really not going to find anything here?"

Just then, her eyes caught a slight twinkle a couple of feet away as she shifted her position. "Bingo." she said with a smirk, cautiously stepping over the fallen debris to where she found her quarry. What looked like some sort of ore, some of it partially loosened from erosion or a previous landslide, assisted in allowing her to collect the materials without actually having to pick away at the rock. That didn't mean that her prize was not tough to remove, however. Using her curved sword, Jevi shoved the tip as much as she could behind the rock and fought to pry it out. She strained and strained, feeling barely any budge.

Plip..plip.. rain began to gently fall from the sky as dark clouds tumbled over the mountain tops above her. At first, the woman paid no mind to it, and she continued to try and loosen the ore as much as she could. However, as the droplets of rain began to trickle down her forehead, she felt the need to wipe the beads off. It was then she noticed that this was no normal rain, but some sort of dark, shadowy substance. "W-What?" Her eyes trailed up the mountain to see clouds darker than she had expected, raining black ink down. Looking around, the cloud coverage seemed to stretch across the entirety of the Seventh Floor, expanding farther and farther. The rain also began to pick up, falling harder and harder.

"Shit.. I've gotta get out of here." She said to herself as she began to panic, fumbling over the debris and running immediately towards the town of Nimbus. Jevi was foolish to think she could outrun the storm, as her vision of the settlement became more and more of a blur, and darkness began to envelop her.

  18. After allowing Minako to cool down in the brisk, February air, Jevi pushed off of her knees and returned to her feet. She looked to a clearing in the shrubbery that the path away from the tent cut through, she could just leave. Her eyes then continued on back to the tent, where things inside seemed to have cooled down as well. The woman thought to herself for a moment; run away back to her hut and just sit in isolation again.. or go inside to remove the tension and try to have a good time. She looked back to Minako one more time, "You alright? Don't do any more stupid [censored] on account of me." she said with a smile before walking back into the tent.

She looked to the couple whom most of this argument circled around, but took the wide path around the tent to the refreshment table. Grabbing three glasses, she filled each with a bit of the fruit juice sitting idly in a bowl. Borrowing a small platter to carry them easily, Jevi then turned and made her way towards where the two players stood. She carefully maneuvered past tables, chairs, and other players to find where they stood. The looks on their faces looked like they were calming down, but still trying to figure out what the hell just happened. "Hey." she said to the male, her voice calmer, but with enough volume so he could hear.

Once she got the attention of the two, her shoulders slouched, and she looked him in the eyes. "I'm sorry. I did not mean to come off threatening, if that's how it seemed. I'm just.. very protective of my friends, so when Minako told me that your dragon attacked her, I acted a bit rashly." Her shoulders slowly shrugged, breaking eye contact for a moment, releasing a sigh as she spoke. "I know I have a temper problem, I've been working on it. So.. well.. here's me working on it." Jevi then moved her arms forward so the platter was between the three of them, offering a glass of the punch to each of them.

Her eyes then moved to the blonde, not saying any words for a moment. Finally, her stoic figure cracked and her lips pulled into a small smirk.
"You know, you've got a fiery personality behind that cute, innocent look. That's respectable. Hell of a hit too." Her smile went a little bit wider, a bit unnerving, "Just don't do it again, okay?" Though she did not make it clear in her voice at all... in her mind, that was a threat. Placing the platter on the table beside her, Jevi took her own glass of punch, "I'll say it again, and this time, I'll mean it. Enjoy the party you two." her smile was sincere as she said this, raising the glass to her lips to take a small sip. With her apology to the male player out of the way, Jevi made her retreat to find a table to sit at alone for a bit.

  19. As Jevi gave Minako a look, hoping she would not go after the blonde, it seemed Minako interpreted the exact opposite of the message. "Oh no..." Jevi said into her glass as Minako stormed off to give chase. The brunette watched in horror as her friend made a b-line for the refreshment table, grabbing a glass of bright red fruit punch. Jevi already knew what he had planned, and quickly passed off her drink to Yuki, "Hold this for me please, sorry" and then she was off to quickly follow after the little firecracker. It was too late, however, as the contents of the glass were making their way through the air and into the blonde's face. Jevi could not help but wince a bit, feeling bad that this had escalated.. even though she was the one to initiate this entire altercation. Minako was able to share a few loud, angry words with the blonde before Jevi stepped up behind Minako and swung an arm around her abdomen. After pulling the girl back a few feet, still flailing her arms, Jevi turned her body and hoisted Minako up, carrying her under her arm. "Come on, enough of that." Jevi said through a strained voice as she quickly made her way towards the opening in the tent.

Once outside, out of earshot of the party, Jevi sat Minako down on the grass. The taller woman lowered herself to a squat beside her and placed her hands on her shoulders. Jevi looked into her eyes, no look of anger or disappointment, just a straight face with a single cocked eyebrow. After a moment of silent starting, she cracked a small smirk.
"I thought I had a bad temper." she said with a small chuckle. Then her expression turned a bit more stern, "Thank you, Minako. I appreciate you sticking up for me. I was pretty angry too but, we are at a public event. I wanted to let her know my piece, but I really didn't want to cause a scene..." she looked back over her shoulder at the tent, "Though... it looks like you took care of that just fine. Yes, she was kind of a bitch, and yeah.. she kind of deserved it for hitting me but..."

    "I knew I shouldn't have come here..."
she said to herself under her breath.

As she turned back to face Minako, she let out a heavy sigh, "Guess we probably aren't going to have much luck with finding dates here, huh."

  20. As Jevi sipped from her drink, she heard the quick approaching behind her. Turning her attention from the conversation with the other women, she saw a blonde girl about the same height as the boy she just picked up. She looked pretty angry as once innocent, blue eyes pierced Jevi like daggers. Jevi turned the rest of her body towards the woman and lowered her drink from her mouth. Before she could question the blonde's furious approach, a gloved hand swiftly met with Jevi's cheek. The slap rang pretty loudly throughout the tent, and the strike left a small, palm sized red mark on Jevi's caramel colored skin. There was no pain, only a small tingling sensation, and, of course, due to her natural mitigation, the tank took no damage at all.. indicated by the fact that the attacker's crystal did not change color. She honestly wished, in that moment, she was wearing her armor, so this blonde could get bitten in the ass by some thorns damage.

So the boy with the dragon who fell was her boyfriend; made sense. And she was coming to his rescue; admirable. She made physical contact with Jevi; unacceptable. Jevi's head turned slowly back to the other woman, looking half a foot down at her. Her yellow eyes flared as the palm print on her face slowly faded and her natural skin color returned. "I don't remember threatening your boyfriend." she said, her voice like the calm before a storm, "I told him to keep an eye on his little dragon friend so it doesn't attack players trying to enjoy themselves at a party."  Jevi's temper was rising, but she needed to keep her cool, no need to cause any more of a scene. She crossed her arms at her chest and took a deep breath in through her nostrils, "The quest is called 'Training your Friend'.. obviously if its attacking players at a social event for no reason, it must not have been trained properly." Jevi then lowered her shoulders so her face was level with the blonde, the yellow of her irises accentuating as her eyes went a bit wider. The corner of her lips curled into a small, wry smile, "I have nothing against you or your friend.. but if you don't want to make it personal.. I suggest keeping your hands to yourself. I'm not a woman that you want as an enemy." Jevi returned to her upright position and winked at the girl, "Enjoy the party." She turned back to the small group of women, taking another sip of her drink that had been wasted due to the strike across her face. She shone Minako, her fiery young friend, a quick look that basically said 'don't push it any farther.'

  21. Jevi found it interesting that the woman, who introduced herself as her apparent real world name Yuki, that she would rather use that name than the username she chose at the start of the game. To most players, their real world name was something they kept secret, as was in most video games, to avoid online creepers and stalkers. Here, however, she seemed very open about it.. so who was she to judge. "To each their own." the brunette said with a nod, "I, personally, like to use my username. I'd rather not allow my real name to spread around." That, and 'Alexandria', she felt, took away from the image she was trying to sell of herself. She noticed that, as the pink haired player took a small bow along with her introduction, that she wobbled a bit on her heels. Jevi's brows turned upward slightly with a smirk, she was happy to see that she was not the only one struggling a bit with these shoes.

It turned out that Yuki was merely a level one player, who had never left the Town of Beginnings until this point. Jevi offered the girl a respectful nod, "Hey, good for you for taking the plunge to jump 20 floors to come to this event." Just as she spoke, there was quite the loud wail from a player, followed by a thud. Looking briefly over her shoulder, she saw a younger looking player who had just fallen on the ground. The woman simply sighed in disappointment, "Did he really have to scream that loudly as he fell? A bit unnecessary if you ask me." She said to her group of ladies as she turned back to face them. Minako had a bit more to add about the player as well. Apparently his dragon familiar had attacked her and a few other players, and had given another girl a panic attack. Jevi's face went from annoyance to that of disgust and anger. Without saying anything else, Jedi turned her back to the ground and pushed her sleeves up on her dress.

Her heels clacked against the dance floor as she moved to where the orange haired player sat in the center of everyone. Reaching a hand down towards him at first, as if to help him up, she instead passed by his arms and grabbed him by the lapels of his suit, hauling him up to a standing position. She stood a solid 6 inches above him, glaring down at him. "I hear your little dragon attacked my friend." Releasing his lapels, she took a few steps back, not breaking eye contact, "You need to keep an eye on your familiar, got it?" Turning her back to him, Jevi avoided the trail of punch that caused him to slip in the first place and returned to the, now trio, of women who stood together. "Let me know if that dragon causes you any other problems." Jevi said, reaching to grab a drink off of the silver platter held by the butler. As she sipped her drink, she realized that the butler was, in fact, a player, rather than an NPC. She would have asked, but Minako already beat her to it.

  22. Jevi stopped in her step as Minako began to freak out at the screens appearing in front of her. Before she knew it, the girl was back out into the streets, quite a disappointed and angered look on her face. Jevi followed suit, standing in the doorway of the smithy with her hand on the frame. "Whats wrong?" Minako expressed her disdain with the quest, and explained to her what was wrong. "Eh?" Jevi questioned, opening up her own inventory to see that the three tusks she had collected were, in fact, still there. In fact, Jevi did not even have Minako's quest as an active quest.. Cardinal just wouldn't allow her to participate. "You've got..to be shitting me.." she said through grit teeth.

The woman removed herself from the entryway and leaned against the outside wall of the shop, crossing her arms and closing her eyes for a moment. Finally, she exhaled a heavy sigh,
"So what do you want to do then.." she started in a low tone that expressed just how done she was, "Do you wanna take a few to let our health and energy regernate and head back out? Or would you rather call it a day since I clearly can't be of any [censored] help."

  23. Even though she should have expected it, Jevi was not ready for Minako to leap upwards and wrap her arms around her. Shifting her foot and planting the tall heel of her shoe behind her, the taller brunette was able to just barely keep her balance and not make a scene by falling on her ass in the middle of the dance floor. "Hey, hey" the woman said, returning the embrace, though not nearly as tight and energetic as Minako's, "Has it really been that long?" she asked, not realizing the last time she had seen her friend was Halloween, and even then it was brief. Jevi smiled with a small laugh, shaking her head playfully at Minako's sob story about there being no available men for her. "You know, there is more to a party than just finding a man to bring home." she said out loud, though internally, she was a bit bummed to hear that.. since the hopes of finding a nice suitor to pick her up out of the dumps was one of the driving points that brought her here. The woman placed a hand on Minako's shoulder, "The nights still young, I'm sure more will show up soon."

Jevi's eyes trailed to the side, trying of another reason for her absence other than 'got depressed, stayed home.' She finally let out a small sigh, "I really haven't done anything. Life's been pretty boring lately. Hence why I came here, hoping to see some old friends and.. possibly make new ones." The two players, almost in unison, turned to watch as another round of players walked into the event, one female and one male, though it appeared they were separate. As Jevi turned back towards Minako, she was already making her move to introduce herself. "I-ah-okay." Jevi said, left standing there awkwardly on her own. The woman reached her hand up towards the side of her head, pushing some of the brown locks that fell behind her ear. Unconsciously, she took another look around at the party to see if there were any players she recognized. She saw Jomei off to the side, speaking with another red headed girl.. and that was pretty much it. "Maybe this was a mistake.." she said to herself as she looked around again, not sure if she was looking for someone to talk to, the fastest way out, or something to drink.

However, just as quickly as Minako had disappeared, she was back, dragging along an unsuspecting victim. The pink haired girl who had just walked into the party, already kidnapped by Minako who was dragging her over to the 'single girls table.' Jevi blinked a few times before shaking her head, "You can't just kidnap people Minako." she said with a small scoff, "Sorry, I'm Jevi."

    Jevi's Dress:

    Spoiler

Korra The dress Sokka Katara Asami Sato woman

  24. Korra The dress Sokka Katara Asami Sato womanJevi hated how she looked in a dress. She was always the tomboyish type and avoided as many school dances as possible to opt out of wearing a dress that would just make her feel.. girly. She had started to feel a bit more confident in herself, and explore her womanhood a bit more within the confides of Aincrad thanks to past lovers who made her feel valued, important, even beautiful. Everything changed for her after Grave up and left her, however. He was the first man she could truly say she loved, despite being that total pain in her ass. She had grown to like him more and more. But just like everyone else in her life, he abandoned her and just vanished off the face of Aincrad. Things with Ruby were fun.. and only helped build her confidence a bit more, but she would be fooling herself if she said she truly felt as deeply for Ruby as she did Grave.

Her friendship with Minako, and that feisty girl's obsession with finding a boy to call her own, had ignited a small spark within Jevi; even if she didn't find someone she wanted to be with, maybe she could at least try and make more friends. Hell, maybe she wan't as cold of a bitch on the inside as she made herself seem on the outside. That being said, Jevi decided to dress up nice and make an appearance at this years Star-Crossed Gala. Donning a blue dress that started off as blue as the night sky on her shoulders, and transitioned into brighter blues as the fabric fell down her form like a waterfall in an hombre fashion. While her arms were covered with slim fitting sleeves, most of her back was exposed. She even let her hair down and tried to do a small bit of makeup, but only so much could be done to hide the bags under her eyes. Taking one last look at herself, she let the palm of her hands run down her cheeks while a small groan escaped her lips. "You already got this far.. might as well go."

"...I've made a mistake.." Jevi said to herself as her yellow eyes scanned the party goers within the tent. From the quick look, she hardly knew anyone there. Finally, she caught glimpse of Minako who just left a prior conversation and was not on her own. She breathed a small sigh of relief through her nostrils before proceeding to cross the floor to meet with her friend. "I had a feeling you'd be here. Though I am surprised you don't have your arms around a man yet." she said with a small laugh.
