i believe there is a novelization of progressive, but not in English from what I've found

Progressive in itself was first a novel, like the rest of the series. You can actually find them translated most likely, but baka-tsuki no longer translates SAO because it got licensed by Yen Press.

I know Progressive 1-3 are all in English Translation. Barnes and Noble had each of them in English, and I have an English copy of Progressive 001. At the back Reki Kawahara says he's going to go sequentially floor by floor with the progressive, each volume will cover two floors, and he's going to shoot to get one out each year. Given the copyright on 001 is 2012, the logical thought is that this year's will be floors 7-8, assuming he's on pace.
