  1. Kasier whistled. It was completely fine to be missing these shots so early on in the game. In fact, it was completely normal. People who are literally just beginning their quest to become more powerful are unable to completely control their body which is under the influence of game mechanics. As they get used to these special perks that the game provides them with, they learn to appreciate that the game actually makes it far more easier for individuals to put to use power that is unknown to them. Still, it doesn't deny the fact that this battle was taking too long, and Sunova was getting outraged more and more. Perhaps there is a breaking point? Even then, Kasier would not know how to prevent it before it came. This would be a good time for Kasier to intervene and start pouring damage herself, as well, even if she didn't have any sort of combat perks.

    Kasier sighed, torn between whether to interfere for safety or for the girl to prove herself as she came out to do. With one heavy step, she stepped away from the tree that she was leaning on before a realization hit her. I have been trying to prove myself since the beginning of the game, and I'm still trying to prove myself. Kasier thought, and with a smile, retreated back to leaning against the same tree. This was a time for Sunova to reach her potential slowly and slowly, one step at a time, until she can fully master her own personality and use it as a tool in combat. Kasier, as someone who has experience as a mentor (paladin in the case of the Celestial Ascendants) and has mentored several apprentices in the past, decided that she would not step into the battle until Sunova was at a risk of death, for that moment where death is closest to you, is when a true lesson is taught.

    Kasier browsed the ground for more materials that she could fit into her inventory when the man brought up a white-haired girl that instantly perked her interest. She remembered hearing about a man who she met through gaming, and the connection was easily made because the white-haired girl had made such an impression on her. This guy, however, did not appear to have the stand-out personality that matches Sunova's. Kasier couldn't jump to the conclusion that Sunova is who this guy is talking about, and she didn't just want to bring about her username without learning more about this particular player.

    "Believe it or not, there are actually plenty of players in this game with white hair, so your description is too general, I would think. I've met a few in the past, and quite a bit of them are energetic, some even extraordinarily intelligent." Kasier exclaimed, moving a different location for more materials when she accidentally kicked something. When she looked, she saw a mushroom that was perfectly fine for picking. Gratefully, she walked over, picked it up, and put it into her inventory. "We're tied now." She quickly remarked, continuing to look on the ground for more materials as they continue to converse. However, from what she could tell, there weren't much around left, so she agreed with Hazado that they should move on to a new location near the river. Without suggesting it directly, she began walking to the designated location.

    "Anyways, if you can give me more details on this girl, I might be able to give you something."

  3. Kasier glanced at the mirror nervously. She looked paler than usual, and her lips were of a deeper red than it's usual hue, but overall, she looked just like herself, and the make-up had not transformed her too much. She nodded, looking at the NPCs who had helped her prepare for this event, signalling that they had done a good job to get her prepared for the event. With her blonde hair neatly curled in one single braid behind her, and her long white dress trailing freely behind her, she peeked out of the door for the last time. Mostly everyone invited at arrived - Itzal was standing in where he was supposed to be, waiting for her to come out of the room. Kasier had refused to come out with any particular person as she didn't feel the need to do so. This wedding was enough with just her and Itzal, even if no one else was here, and the event was already extravagant enough. When a bearded NPC man came to take her out, Kasier simply said that she'll go out herself, and only asked for two little girls to hold the trailing part of the dress behind her so she doesn't trip while walking up to her designated position. Kasier took a deep breath, this is going to be an event with a lot of people. I need to not embarrass myself, especially since I already did that whole thing with the vow. Kasier thought, pushing open the door and stepping outside.

    Finally, it was time. The wedding had truly begun with her walking out. She saw Jonathan on the piano, but she didn't pay attention to the music because her attention instantly was attracted to multiple different locations in the crowd within a second's notice. She saw that the crowd was filled, which means the people who had come were not only those they had invited, but also several NPCs - some of which she recognized. Kasier slowly walked up, with two little girls behind her as she did so, until she reached a stop across from Itzal. Luckily, she was able to reach the place without tripping.

  6. Kasier continued to watch without interrupting. She was being entertained by this combat, and she hadn't been this entertained by a low-leveled fight in a very long time. Usually, it's just basic, mindless routine fights that would always be the same. This one was different, however, and she is certainly enjoying it.

    First of all. This white-haired character is now displaying a trait that she hadn't seen since Felix lost his other personality, and that personality was something that brought Kasier closer to Felix in the first place. This sudden violence that had suddenly taken over the innocent, cute girl was something that Kasier would like to keep an eye on in the future, but she would like to see exactly how far she would go with it. Sunova probably held a hidden power within her, and Kasier realized that her curiosity had all of a sudden taken place in her heart again. She was curious, and she wanted to discover more about this individual.

    Which is why Kasier would not help her. If she helped Sunova, her fighting spirit might disappear, and she wanted to see more of this unique character of hers. Plus, she was confident that the white-haired DPS knew exactly what she was doing, because that rock move was not the sort of cleverness that she saw in most players, including those on the front lines. Sunova was capable, and possesses superior game and weapon sense - no point for her to use first aid on her just yet. She would continue to watch from the side, and gaze in wonder at how this player will handle her situation.

    @Sunova

  7. "As a tank, you do need help. But once you get stronger and stronger, you'll be able to help players and save lives with the amount of damage that you absorb. Once that happens, you'll be happy that you chose the tank build." Kasier exclaimed, not even looking for materials at this point. She didn't feel like doing much searching right now, because with her recent luck, her chances of hitting a material jackpot today were very low. She'll need to buy some equipment if she wanted to increase the rate at which she can find materials. That'll just have to wait though, because Kasier was a queen of procrastination.

    "I doubt that you'll be able to use your spear as a weapon any time soon, since you'll probably be focusing on the tanking skills most of the time," Kasier continued, looking at the tank. Who knows whether he will be a successful front liner in the future? Some people are able to tell just from looking at an individual, but Kasier can't, which is why she treats all the low-leveled players equally. The key to leveling isn't that complicated in this game - it's just a combination of persistence and a small amount of game sense.

    Kasier nodded when Hazado suggested that they should kill some monsters for a more efficient material gathering session, but Kasier knew what was wrong with the suggestion. "In order to get loot, we must fight monsters that match my level, which would be way out of our league since neither of us deal damage." Kasier explained, "For now, just continue like this, I suppose. Maybe you can use the materials for some fresh gear... armor is quite important for a tank, you know."

    @Hazado

  8. Kasier watched as the blonde player defeated the four zombies with ease. Although the zombies were weak in terms of health points, it was still an attack that revealed expertise, and Kasier was starting to doubt what sort of player Jonathan truly is. A tank would not be able to deal that much damage, and from what she saw, what Jonathan used was complete overkill for the four pathetic monsters.

    She sighed, sheathing her vanity sword into its iron casing before turning to look at her fellow guild mate. "If it's not needed, then there's no point. She's all yours, have fun with it." Kasier exclaimed. To be completely honest, she wanted to get out of the creepy place as quick as possible, because even if she didn't want to admit it, the place was creepy, and any turn results in a feeling that something unexpected might pop out of the darkness and deal damage to you. Not only that, a booty trap, or a device set somewhere can separate her with her companion, which is exactly what she did not want right now.

    This was the dangers of the place, and what she feared most was immediately fulfilled when she felt like the ground get lower as she took a step towards the direction that Jonathan had been looking. She had stepped onto a pressure plate, and a wall was immediately sprung up from the ground, separating her from Jonathan. Scrambling, Kasier got as close she could to the wall, hoping that it's not too thick that Jonathan couldn't hear her from the wall.

    "Bad situation here. Need some help, please. My stomach is not feeling very well, and I'm not sure how we can get this wall back into the ground." Kasier said in a medium volume, trying not to disturb the inhabitants of the dark building, but also trying to get her voice through to Jonathan so he can help her out.

  9. Twenty-seven.

    Kasier gulped down what seemed to be stuck in her throat at the sound of that. What a drastic amount of people to die to the hands of one individual. Such an act is unacceptable, and should be tracked down immediately. A player killer who has gone on such a rampage cannot be allowed to roam the floors freely without receiving a single punishment, and it's definitely reassuring that some people had decided that the time had come for action to be taken. She sighed, watching the two players in the front finish up before deciding which team that she wanted to join. The team that goes to where this particular player killer had last committed his crime is most likely to catch sight of this player, but she wasn't sure if that's a good thing for her. She had already spotted several strong players with Lessa's team, so there was no point of her joining them, especially since she was no where near their caliber. However, she was also not great at talking to people to the point where she wouldn't join Aereth's team either. She sighed in frustration, walking back and forth, knowing that as a player within the game, it was her obligation to help out with a task such as this.

    Finally, she came to a conclusion that her safety is far more important than a small bit of embarrassment from talking to some other players. She had done it multiple times in the past, and this should be the same as always. With a serious face, she walked up to Aereth, a player she had never met before, and nodded. "I'll be joining you with the interviews and such. Thanks for having me." She exclaimed, backing off after announcing it to the group leader.

  11. Kasier's eyebrows rose slightly as she sensed a sudden change in the atmosphere. The girl responded to what the blonde tank had to say, which was all that Kasier asked for. Kasier was quite shocked when the white-haired female seemed to change personality completely. She went from a calm, easily excited girl to someone filled with rage, and it reminded Kasier of what she had seen in Itzal back when she first took interest in him. It was like a transition that took place immediately, and Kasier, for the first time found interest in this particular player. Perhaps she'll keep this girl close by and see how she turns out. It's a rare sight to see someone who could change into someone with so much fierceness and power in such a short time, and with the rage that she possesses currently, she definitely has the ability to become a great DPS player. It would be a waste for someone like her to be a healer - Kasier will tell her that after the fight. Although Sunova doesn't have the same attitude all the time, when she does, she is definitely intimidating. Kasier leaned against the tree... the girl was approaching the yellow zone for her health points, so she would need to proceed carefully.

    I wonder how she'll respond or fight. This sure is one interesting person. She thought, keeping silent so she does not distract the girl from combat with the wolf. Or maybe it's not a special trait. maybe it's just bipolar. She thought, shaking her head, deciding that she's just thinking about things too much and should just watch without reaching a conclusion at the present time. She'll simply enjoy the fight from behind.

    @Sunova

  12. The monster had fallen down far easier than she had expected. She expected the fight to take a bit longer, but after the first attack from Itzal, Kasier realized that the battle would be over sooner than she expected. Still, through keeping to tradition, she shall not assume a battle is over until it really is - she had heard terrible stories about players who had been too overconfident with their abilities. Kasier sighed, loosening up her body which always tensed up during combat. She couldn't be blamed though, since every battle was a battle of life or death to her, and she must be ready at all times for anything that might happen. If only her laziness didn't get in the way, she might be living a more carefree life by now, but her stats were still not high enough for her to go through enemies and enemies while cracking jokes. In the past, she had actually gotten out ramen in the middle of combat, but that was the past. Now, she valued her life a lot more, not only for herself, but for the people around her both on and off the front lines.

    "Well, an easy victory is hardly anything to celebrate, is it? No matter, I'm always down to celebrate with you, Felix." She exclaimed, chuckling as the quest complete icon popped up in front of her. She gladly clicked the blue check button, signalling that she acknowledges the fact that she had completed the quest. She nodded at Itzal before turning from where the Wyvern had fallen. Kasier watched as Itzal did the same thing, with the same rewards. Which means... he has yet to complete the quest before today either. She thought, which was a good thing, because it meant Kasier hadn't been wasting Itzal's precious time with this quest. "Well, I'm getting quite tired of all the restaurants and stuff like that, so how about we go up to the higher floors and go to a church, and remember the dead? Not really a celebration, but the thought just came to me."

    "Like I said, I'm simply realistic. One player cannot defeat a boss no matter how strong he is. It's a team effort, and right now we need to get everyone on the front lines, so players like us have to be willing to sacrifice some of our time to help out those who aren't able to do everything by themselves." Kasier said, scanning the area real fast, but she was unable to see anything that could be of use to her in the kitchen. It didn't really matter though, since she had not cooked in about a few months now, and should probably get back to doing that for the front lines. Kasier sighed, realizing that she is not succeeding at the luck game today. That's all there is to it really, luck, if you don't have the skills to boost it, of course. Kasier continued, "We've all been there once, and I still can't do anything by myself since I'm a tank and a healer combination. Without everyone working together, this game would never be beat, and we would all just die one by one."

    She stretched slightly, fixing her hair after she did so. "Besides, it's not like I'm helping you with anything. I need the materials too." She finished, walking away further so she can continue to look for these materials in a different location to get a better chance to find one of these materials that seemed so hard to find.

  14. "If I were to get involved, I could actually show you a pretty neat support mod that gives you a bit of damage. I'll show it to you some other time, because I think it's a pretty good mod to have for the damage dealer to obtain that tiny bit of damage which might prove to be surprisingly useful during combat." Kasier said, halfheartedly to herself. Sunova could probably not even hear since she was focusing so much on boar killing... so everything Kasier would want to say probably ends up in space, unheard due to the chaotic nature of combat in this game. Kasier sighed, standing against the tree as she focused on how the white-haired girl moves. Perhaps one day she'll lead a few players, even damage dealers to mob killing and grinding sessions. If she was ever going to do that, she would need a professional DPS to help her with how a damage dealer should play. Kasier shook her head, she cannot tell what Sunova is doing right or what she's doing wrong no matter how much the blonde wanted to help. For now, Kasier must simply watch from the side as the white-haired girl figures the whole thing out by herself - self-learning, which is fine. As long as the white-haired girl doesn't get killed doing this, Kasier is perfectly fine with her learning through experience rather than words.

    "Kasier-sensei sounds too professional." Kasier whispered to herself, before repeating herself by calling to Sunova. "Sorry to distract you, but just call me Kasier next time, please." She exclaimed, leaning back against the tree and under the shade of the tree which sheltered her from the brilliance of rays released by the energy of the sun. "Don't be scared to try out different things and see if they work or not." Kasier suggested, quietly so the mob doesn't notice her on the side.

    Kasier held her breath as she heard a distant sound as well. It was faint, but the presence of enemies was undeniable. Within a few steps, she and the blonde front liner would be within range to some minions. She did not know exactly how strong they were going to be, but she was fairly sure that she would be safe if she got hit a couple of times by these things. Besides, now that she's working on tanking for a bit, she should try getting hit a few more times so she can work on not flinching after getting hit by a powerful attack. It would be practice for when she gets to the front lines, where every contact would hurt her health points a crap ton. Kasier gasped, watching as Jonathan began to activate a sword art.

    "Hold on," Kasier rushed, holding out her hand, making quite the noise as she did so. "Let me tank them for one hit. I need the practice." Kasier exclaimed, rushing forwards, revealing the enemies that they would have to defeat. Zombies. Kasier gulped... she never had the taste for horror things, but she knew that these zombies were going to be slow, which was not exactly the case. Two of the zombies came charging at her, surprising her, causing her to stumble a few steps back before she activated howl. During the howl process, however, she felt a punch right into her stomach and a kick right into her face. The damage was there, but it wasn't that damaging to her. She was still far into the greens.

    "I guess now would be a good time to finish them." Kasier exclaimed with a slight hint of humor placed within the statement.

    Kasier grasped her arms and embraced herself as she felt a shiver approach her from the wetness that had been inflicted on her as a result of the recent attack that had hit her quite heavily. It had been a damaging attack, and far more damage had been inflicted on her than any other attack that she had tanked in the past. It felt different, as if the a more damaging attack was different from a less damaging attack. She sighed, wanting to protest the previous statement that Itzal had claimed, but she knew that it was no use. He was moving way too fast for her to even say a single word. Silently, Kasier tracked Itzal as he burst forward, charging through the waters, separating the two sides, as if Moses was separating the waters of the Red Sea. Kasier smiled - he certainly was fast, and the result was his ability to land a heavy hit on the monster, despite the fact that it was not sufficient enough to knock the health of the monster completely down to zero.

    "My wish is your command? You make me sound like a queen or a princess or something." Kasier whispered as Itzal came back to her side. She glanced at the wyvern who seemed to still be focused entirely on her. The deadly red eyes that had threatened many players in the past would not make her flinch. Instead, she would allow the hit to come her way, and practice taking more hits until she is ready for the front lines. "Step aside Felix," Kasier exclaimed, "we shouldn't focus on what to do after the battle until it is entirely over." As soon as she said those words, the wyvern came swinging at her with the tip of its tail. Luckily for Kasier, the wyvern panicked completely, and the tail had landed right next to her without her even moving one step. The monster was tired, and its fatigue was obviously showing at the moment.

    "Well, I guess the battle is over now..."

    "How can you possibly tell how high-leveled I am from how I speak? And I invited you to come along because of why not. I would be material gathering even if you didn't come along, but I wouldn't mind company, I suppose." Kasier explained. She had no idea what a high-leveled player talks, because she had always been talking like this since she was around level 10 or something. She had not changed the way she talked just because she had become higher-leveled. The way she talked according to her own perception of herself is just a serious tone, because that's her personality. She hated revealing herself in public, which is why she spoke in a tone-less voice. However, this was far from the cockiness that she knew some of the front liners had. Maybe she was just being interpreted in a wrong manner. Or maybe he just heard something else in the way she talked that led him to believe she was high-leveled.

    "I'm around level 40. Not that high, actually, but I would like to say it's quite a good level to be at at this point in the game. I'm still working hard to get higher-leveled." She finished, looking around the river banks to check for mushrooms that can spawn there. Unfortunately, it seems that the mushrooms had already been picked up by the numerous crafting professionals on this floor. This floor is the most populated out of all of them, after all, so it's not a surprise that a lot of the materials had already been picked up and used. "We need to get far away from the entrance of the safe zone if we want to find anything that hasn't already been picked up by other players."

  19. "No, please. No thank you," Kasier insisted as she shifted her body uncomfortably, trying to find space from the five NPC women crowded around her, applying make-up that she had never even seen before. Kasier waved her hand, signalling that she had no intention of putting on lipstick even if this was an important moment. Kasier was receiving far too much attention, and she didn't like it. She was already uncomfortable in front of all these NPCs trying to get her to look nice... imagine how she would feel standing in front of everyone who had come to watch their wedding. Kasier sighed, the girls had finished up everything that had to do with her face, but apparently, her light blue dress was far too casual for a wedding, and within moments, she had been forced to change into a grand, big white dress that reminded her of an umbrella, it was as if she was wearing an umbrella that ended the bottom of her waist. Kasier shivered, this was not the image that she would like to show to everyone. She was certainly not used to wearing anything even remotely close in terms of fanciness. Kasier opened her mouth, preparing to protest, but before she could do so, the eldest NPC lady shut her off by putting a finger near Kasier's mouth.

    "Nope, honey~doo. This is a speciiiiaaaalllll occasion, and we're gonna get you looking as grand and beautiful as you can possibly be!" She said in a stereotypical fashion designer voice. Kasier sighed, slumping back down on the chair as she could foresee exactly how the day will go. At the moment, she was not enjoying how the game prepares you for a wedding, and she wasn't sure if she's just unlucky, or do everyone getting married have to suffer through what she is suffering at the very moment. "I wonder if Felix getting the same treatment," She thought out loud without receiving a response. The NPCs were probably not programmed to even recognize that name. "And, we are finally done!" Kasier jumped out of the chair, staring at the mirror in front of her. Her skin looked paler, her lips redder, but not too red, and all her features were a lot more defined. Kasier turned around, taking a peek out of the door to see that a couple of players invited had already arrived. Hopefully Itzal will greet them later because she's not too good with that stuff. For now, she would just wait for everyone to arrive and the wedding to start.

  20. Kasier looked up at the leaves that of the brown, oak tree that stood on the tallest hill of the first floor. She could see the faint blurring of the nature that currently filled her eyes with the green hue reflected back at her from the sun's light. It was as if she was falling asleep, but she wasn't. She was on the verge to, yet she couldn't for some strange reason. She felt unsettled, which was basically like her usual self, since she was always worrying about her safety and the safety of the people around her. But today, she felt an extreme discomfort at the at her heart. It was as if every beat was a heavy stomping of a dinosaur stepping towards a dreading prey. Every beat of her heart seemed to be dragging her deeper into a certain void. Kasier sighed, closing her blood red eyes as she felt a tiring sensation rush over her. She could stay there forever. She didn't particularly FEEL like doing anything. But then, she heard an insect buzzing near her right ear. Opening her ear, she sees the blurry images of three young players looking down at her.

    "Ello? Hello? Teacher!" One of them seemed to call out. Kasier yawned, sitting up before rubbing her eyes while staring at the three players standing before her. "We beat the level 5 boar, just like you said we would!" Her attention turned to the player on the left - the support player of the group... the most kind out of the three youths of the team. She was the most fitting to be the healer out of all three of them. She would sacrifice herself to help anyone, and she would definitely be surpassing Kasier as a healer in a couple of months. Skylar was her name. She was the blonde girl who was shy out of battle, but during battle, would call out all the shouts. She was what every healer should strive to be... unfortunately, she was too young to lead at the moment.

    "Too bad, she's all too busy dosing off all the time..." The boy next to her mumbled. He was the blonde's brother, and he was obviously the troubled middle child of the group. His name was Tang, and his dark blue eyes combined with his pale, light skin was an obvious sign that he had yet to meet any real troubles in real life. In fact, he would probably the only troubling one out of all the three children there. Kasier sighed, "sorry about that, I knew you guys weren't going to have trouble with the boar. It's one of the easiest enemies out there, after all. Besides, you guys are just going through target practice." She then looked at the third player of the group. His name was Bill and he was the quiet tank, a bit fat for his age, and definitely one of those kids who were given much snacks to eat and be spoiled with. Kasier yawned. "Our guild meeting starts in about 30 minutes. We should get there early. I'm going to ask them to promote you guys, since you all have been working hard and all."

    With a small cheer from the Skylar, a smirk from Tang, and a small hint of a smile from Bill, the three players set out for the fourth floor, where snow was constantly filling the grounds of Aincrad. Today, however, she thought she saw red snow for a second. After she rubbed her eyes, though, it turned back to the normal, shiny white that it had always been. Weird. She thought, following the three enthusiastic young players into the meeting room. "I've arrived. Quite early compared to the last few times. Seems like it's just you here, Jonathan. I'm bringing these fine folks with me to hopefully get them out of apprenticeship and possibly into sentinel status."

  21. Kasier shook her head and placed her head into both of her palms as the white-haired girl commented on the appearance of the wolf, before shouting that she will do it. Sure, the girl could be 'cute' but to be completely frank and to the point, Kasier could not see how the girl could possibly survive long enough to join the front lines. She was just not the type. Everyone on the front lines were calculating, and calm, but this girl was energetic... no, hyper at times. Kasier could definitely see the girl make a wrong decision through impulsive decision-making. If she could make the front lines, though, Kasier would not mind someone with a bit of knowledge about the game. The girl had demonstrated that she had certainly done her research before venturing into wilderness, and the willingness to learn was definitely a crucial part of every front liner's arsenal. Kasier sighed... either this girl would turn out to be one of the more powerful players, or she would die from refusing to hit cute things.

    "Dodging will become far easier in the future. That thing didn't do much damage to you. I'll hold off on joining combat." Kasier exclaimed, watching the combat from a safe distance so the wolf doesn't confuse her to be part of the battle. Kasier wanted the girl to have the full experience of fighting on her own for the first time, and she would not get in the way of the first time that she fought. "Uh. Never spare a mob if you already started fighting, please." Kasier called out, that would not be the way to approach leveling in a game where killing is crucial to obtaining loot. Now she can finish it off. She thought to herself.
