  3. Shield glanced up from the inventory he had been arranging as a newcomer entered the shop. With a flick of his finger, he banished the displays to address the newcomer. She was new, though he had seen a number of new faces in his shop lately. He nodded slightly as she presented the items to him. "Very well," he replied, looking them over and checking their specifics. "Those are 250 Col apiece, so a total of 500 will cover you." He made a note of the sale in his inventory. "Feel free to stop by any time you need anything."
  4. Shield raised his hand in greeting as Hikoru entered the shop. He had been expecting the visit given their endless haggling over prices. He was not eager to see the item go, but he had upgrades that needed making to his home, and the agreed upon price would get him part of the way there. He checked over the transfer and gave a nod. "I appreciate your understanding," Shield said, opening his own transfer window and queuing up the Heart Sticker he had won from the Freylise fight. "It's not something I was eager to part with, but hopefully it will be put to good use. Those wraps Beat is givi
  5. It had been a long time since Shield had needed the aid of an alchemist, but after the encounters in the last dungeon he and Beat had been through, not only were his crystal stores running low, but those he had last purchased had proven to be insufficient. To make matters messier, he had tried tracking Zandra down at her island shop, only to find that the shop no longer existed. It had taken him a considerable amount of homework to figure out where else she might be found. The building that he found was not what he had expected. The outside was dilapidated, and there was clearly a sign sa

  7. Shield accepted the items, but he could tell pretty much right away that there was nothing particularly special or useful about them. He had identified much more useful items for Kimi, so after some deliberation, they settled on a price to settle on selling them, hopefully for a lower level player to use. He handed Kimi some Col and put the items in his 'bargain bin' menu. It seemed a pity that so many items were ending up there lately. He wanted to be able to contribute to the front lines in more meaningful ways, but he has no control over that these days. "Sorry, Kimi," he said with a

  9. Shield nodded, totaling up the costs of the items she had brought to the front and subtracting out the costs of those that she had brought to sell. "Thanks for coming in," he said, accepting the transaction and closing out of the dialog boxes. "Come back any time. We're a little out of the way out here, but we do good business." Once his shop was clear again, he set about identifying the consumables. The items he figured would make an interesting selling point. Come an try your luck on the mystery items! Something along those lines. The consumables though, with no chance of special enhanc

Identifying 2 T3 Uncommon Potions 1 T3 Rare Potion 1 T3 Perfect Potion 3 T3 Perfect OHSS's While Shield had been pushing himself to improve his craft and to gather items in order to better test his abilities as a merchant, he had been in a slump. He sat with a mound of items in front of him, many of them consumables, but a few swords in the mix. The food and potions were more or less a bust, but the swords had some potential to be significant. He set them out in a neat arrangement and began to go through them, tossing aside each junk item until eventually he had gone thr
  14. Shield nodded to acknowledge the new player. "Ohayou," he answered, accepting the sword with both hands before retrieving his jeweler's loupe. He held the lensed tool between his brow and the meat of his cheek before tapping the magnifying glass icon in the sword's menu. "Let's see what we have here..." He squinted through the lenses before nodding and setting the item back down on the counter for its owner. "It looks like you've got a very damage focused weapon," he said with a nod. "That's the most universally useful enhancement for a weapon. Eventually, I'd recommend shifting damage to

  17. Shield thanked Kimi for the items and proceeded to file them in his inventory system for his shop, tallying up exactly how much to give her for the items. After adding in the last item, he gave a nod and sent her the total for all of her items. "It isn't a ton of Col, but every little bit can help," he said with a tap of his fist on the counter. "Let me know if there's anything else I can do for you." As he concluded his business with Kimi, he set about identifying the unknown items that she had traded to him, as well as a handful of his own. There were not a terrible amount of them,
  18. Building: The Last Homely House Location: 11th Floor - Mountains' Edge Nestled among the shops that both he and Beat run, Shield has set up his home in the mountains of floor eleven, just on the edge of the piedmont. It is a comfortable structure, made from sturdy albeit worn wood, and although there are rooms that are yet unused, it is a solid start for the merchant tank. Outside, among the bushes and waterfalls, harmless creatures spawn endlessly as farming fodder. Inside, the kitchen area is divided among two separate rooms, one belonging each to Beat and Shield. The dining hall, a c

  20. Shield raised his hand in greeting as Kimi came in. "You're starting to become a regular. If I were making more money off of my services, I'd start offering you discounts, but unfortunately, business is slow with some of the updates that have come to the merchant profession." Shield accepted the Col transfer and handed over a golden key. "About time someone started making use of these. I know for a fact player are opening chests. That can be dangerous business." He then turned his attention to the armor, laying it out on the counter and tapping the magnifying glass icon. As the circular i

  24. Shield looked over the new player, nodding at the request and accepting the weapon over the counter. He fished out his jeweler's loupe and looked the item over, tapping the magnifying glass icon to begin his appraisal. After a moment, he set aside his lens and returned the item to the player. "Two slots of Paralyze, which is pretty decent for a random drop," he said, his dark brown eyes distant, but engaging. "And you requested a tool for your own work." He initiated an item transfer, sending over the item in exchange for the listed costs. His fingers ran sidelong through his locks t
