  1. Neo poked her head into the shop on the seventeenth floor. It was a nice little place, and she was going to be waiting on an order anyways. Deciding it would be nice to drop off a few of her items, she nodded and smiled at the merchant's greeting. She pulled up a window and showed the three unidentified items she wanted to get identified, as well as a chunk of her own money. It wasn't that much, but it was still enough to keep someone busy for a while. Once the details were hammered out, Neo waited to see what the results of her labors were going to be.

    Items to ID:

  2. (out of combat recovery 1)

    Neo stood there with the last mob finally defeated. It was nice to see that there was a quick way to take these things down, but it seeemed as though it had still taken its toll on the two of them. THough Neo wasn't any worse for wear on her health, her energy had certainly taken quite the little dip. It would be tough to keep this up, and helped quite a bit that Hestia was not just being pourely defensive like the times Neo had gone questing with Shield. As powerful as he was, he was so stubborn in having no offense. It was honestly probably holding him back, being over reliant on his partner Beat. Come to think of it, were those two ever in love or did they just want the slight bonuses being married gave them. Knowing the two of them, it very well could be the latter. Though there very well could've been a secret relationship masked by the want to be the best. It was an interesting thought.

    @Hestia

  3. Neo walked into the shop after waiting around at the Hangar and seeing no one for quite some time. It seemed that Hei had been out and about and not getting the materials just yet. It wasn't that pressing of a concern for her to get her gear now, but Neo wanted to make sure that she was prepared for when she hit the next level tier instead of rushing to get gear like what happened last time. Nodding to the shop-keep, she handed over a piece of paper that had her order on it. The instructions were fairly standard, albeit not your typical armor enhancements. And of course, she left the design of the armor up to the crafter's interpretation. She always found it to be much better when they worked off of their own inspiration.

  5. Neo just rolled her eyes as Embers tried to get the east's attention, but it did actually get something for her. An opening. It turned towards her party mate and it meant she could very quickly jump in and take it out. The beast disintegrated into dust and the quest was marked as complete for her. After stepping into the final area, Neo grabbed the item obtained from completing the quest and wordlessly tossed it over to Embers. It was probably too weak of an item for her to use, and she had a bad habit of not using consumables anyways so better to leave it in other's hands. With that, she disbanded the party and headed towards the main town once more. No point waiting around, but maybe the two of them could do another quest some time. She may be a little bit reckless, but there was heart in it. Much better than the stoicism that many of the front liners' offered.

  6. Neo stood back as the shambling creatures died on Hestia's blade in their attempts to take her down. Though she was down quite a bit on her health bar, it wasn't anything that couldn't get healed up. Gesturing towards it in a manner to suggest that Hestia finish off the last one remaining, Neo flicked her parasol out of a defensive position and sheathed her sword back within it. There was no point in hiding it, as the enemies hardly seemed intelligent, but she still liked it to be much less cumbersome. Neo watched as the finale of this little fight would begin. As she did, she noticed that it felt like someone was missing, then she remembered they were supposed to have Miraak with them. He had said he'd follow along in the dialogue she mostly ignored when accepting the quest and they had forgotten to pick him up. Guess they would need to be going back to get him after this fight here.

    @Hestia

  7. Neo nodded once more in agreement with Hestia's plan. Though she may be following a little bit blindly, this was her first time in a fight on such a scale. There was the labyrinth guardian, but it was already nearing death when she got there as well as it wasn't so large. Going towards the segment, she was unsure if she was going to be able to hit it before the buff wore off. Though it seemed like it might be impervious to her attack at the moment, she hoped that the others were going to take the remaining sahagin out as quickly as they could so her attack actually counted. Seeing the beams of her sword art turn black, Neo let out a little smirk knowing that if this did connect, it would be hurting quite a bit. And once her attack went through, damaging or not, SHe prepared for the onslaught of the rain that was still pelting down towards her skin.

  8. Neo just nodded towards Hestia with the plan, she realized there wasn't too much use or the stuff found here. Maybe to identify it to get a chance at bartering them off towards others. Or maybe just save them up to rank up another merchant. With Shield pulling a dissappearing act, there was not only a power gap in the front lines, but also in the merchant market. It would have to be filled before she stockpiled too much of the stuff she was hoping would get her the enhancements that she wanted to complete her build. But for now, a little joy in taking on a monster. A strangely evil smile crept across her face as she halved the health of one of the monsters. It was retribution for things she didn't know she wanted retribution for, all guided along by some mysterious compulsion she couldn't quite place her finger on.

  9. Neo just nodded towards Hestia's instrucitons. SHe didn't know of the searching  skill that well, so she just took Hestia's word for it. Without hesitating, she quickly used her sword art against the diseased one that was in front of her instead of going for the nearly full health one lingering towards the back of the pack. The one she struck went deep into the red of its health, nearly dying, but still enough of a buffer that Neo wasn't worried about anything of hers kicking in too early. It would be enough hopefully for Hestia's thorns to kill them off. At the very least, it meant that it wasn't going to be of much use for long. Popping back behind Hestia to make sure it didn't go for her, she waited to see where she would need to strike next, her parasol lowered in case something did come her way still.

  10. Neo just shook her hand in a so-so motion, her default answer. There wasn't that much emotion going on right now. All there was was what was in front of her in the moment. And at the moment, there was an enemy in front of her. Taking another swing at it, the darkness from the blade sprung forward into what seemed to be beams of energy. In reality, it was just the blur of Neo's blade, but it was dark enough it seemed to be some malicious force springing forward to reclaim the shambling monsters that tried to attack Hestia. As the beams struck, portions of the monster started to turn to a black dust. It was already shambling, but it seemed to be even slower now as well. Only a matter of time before it fell. Wanting to keep the damage as evenly spread as possible to maximize the thorns damage that Hestia had, Neo turned to look for whatever was seeming the strongest now. No point to keep them waiting and she wanted to make sure they finished this group off effectively.

  11. Neo gave a little smirk at Hestia's comment about not really talking. As a short explanation as to why she was doing that, she popped out her sword slightly from the concealed sheathe inside her parasol. The blade was blacker than a moonless night and seemed to pulsate with negative energy. It was the reason she was here in the first place. Looking forward and seeing the shambling creatures come forward, Neo finished pulling out the sword in preparation for the fight. She was going to wait for a howl from Hestia to cement her position in not getting attacked, but a sudden impulse came over her and Neo attacked the nearest one with her attack. It seemed to do about a quarter of its health, but that was nothing compared to how much she usually did to creatures that looked as weak as this. They were scaling to Hestia, and that could turn into a very large problem down the road.

  12. Neo listened as SU told her story. It wasn't as drawn out as Neo was ready for, but that was good. It meant that she wasn't dwelling on it as much as she should be. As sad as it was, it seemed that they had, for the most part, already dealt with it and put the past where it should be. Neo just shook her head at the final question. There was no need to fear Su. Her circumstance came from bad luck. Whether or not there was a higher power that caused it to happen was of little importance. What mattered was that she was here now. And she just needed a little bit of encouragement to find out what to do to continue moving forward with her life instead of moving back to the past over and over again and again. Hopefully this conversation would be that catalyst to get her moving forward again. That was what Neo was hoping, and even slightly planning, on happening.\

    @Sunova

  13. oh, that was her Haz alright. A head-pat and philosophical words. The two were coming up on the main town on the seventh floor now, and not long before they reached the transporter to take them to the fourth. It was the little bit of magic that the players had access to. Other than some of the supernatural abilities their gear had, this world deprived the players of any non-realistic form of combat. That same reservation certainly didn't extend to the NPCs that they had to fight though. They could come against them with almost anything that they wanted to do so with. Either way, she and Haz could do it together. She'd tell him one day where she lived, no sense making him crawl all over Japan for her. Though one big city would still be an interesting time to try and find her in. It would make for some fun stories later though.

    @Hazado

  14. (OOC: go ahead and roll for the lioness)

    Neo tried to find the opening to attack the lioness, but it had gotten back up to quickly. It was already trying to out-maneuver the two of them and Neo wanted to get what could very well be the final hit against it. But there was no chance, Neo lunged forward hoping to start a chain of attacks, but to no avail. The lioness was able to dance out of her reach and prevent the attack from going off. Hopefully Mars would have better luck, but he seemed to be having even more trouble than herself with the lioness. It would only be a matter of time before one of them got hit and would start to take a lot of damage for it. Neo had a feeling these creatures were not going to be giving out love taps. It was going to be a full on attack that could easily knock Neo down for the count.

  15. Neo accepted the party request from Hestia once she received it. As was usual with most of the front liners, they wasted no time in chit chat before already making their way towards the quest objective. Neo nodded in appreciation for Hestia finding more stuff for her own build, but was mostly not concerned with it. Neo knew how powerful Hestia was, and that would probably make portions of this quest quite difficult. At the very least, it should also provide a good way to get some Col and unidentified gear as they would be fighting things that dropped them regardless of their own levels. Flipping open her black parasol to cover from the diluted sun, Neo sent a thought out so Roman was ready to start attacking once they came across some mobs. Feeling a little thought come back to her, she knew her familiar was close by.

    @Hestia

  16. Neo was quickly to the thirteenth floor and waved towards hestia once she found her. It would be good to do some more questing with the premiere tank. Ever since Shield announced he and many of his friends were leaving, a power vacuum had formed, leaving peopel to take it for themselves. She knew she wouldn't be able to fill it herself, but perhaps she could make sure she was with good standing of those that did take it for themselves. Then she could focus on making sure it didn't turn into a spit-balling fight at the next meeting. Either way,, that was not the sole reason he was here now. The primary objective she had was to figure out what to do with this weapon and how it worked. She wanted to make sure that she had the knowledge in order to face it down some day. Looking towards Hestia with a bit of blind courage in her eyes, she waited for her to signal for the two of them to get going.

  17. Neo just smiled as Haz brought about the memories of their first meeting. Sure, they had moved a little bit quickly with things, but that wasn't so bad. When death was looming over your head every day, you'd want to fill your life with as much meaning as you could as quickly as you could. After Haz had moved her hair a bit, Neo just leaned in towards him. It was nice to finally slow down for once and enjoy life. No squabbling front lines, no demanding customers in her shop, no PKer trying to hunt them down. Just the two of them, calmly walking towards making something new. It was almost poetic. It wouldn't last, but a thing wasn't beautiful because it lasts. She could do all she wanted here and now, and then be back to the grindstone tomorrow. But this... this was worth it to her. The small parts of quiet she could get.

    @Hazado

  18. As the two sat there in silence, Neo just let Su contemplate everything to herself. There was no need to interrupt this silent moment. As soon as Su had talked about her wanting to tell her story, Neo just sat down next to her and prepared to listen. It would be good for her to be able to spill her secrets to someone. No one should have to keep all of those secrets to themselves. Each of their own should be able to be open to at least one other person that they had in their lives. Placing her arm around Su's in a sort of side hug motion, Neo readied herself to listen to her story. She knew bits and pieces, the torment, the out-casting. But she didn't know it from start to end. It seemed as though that was going to change today, and hopefully for the better. Neo knew what it was like to be cast out by those who were supposed to be the closest to you. Even if it was for different reasons, Neo was pretty sure that she would be ale to understand most of what Su was going through.

    @Sunova

  19. Neo was looking at the chaos of this fight after the boiling hot water had landed inside the coiling arena. It seemed like there was no purpose to the organization that they had done. The only effectiveness of it had been to make certain people have to target certain portions. And that could've been assigned randomly at the end of the day. Still, she had someone she was supposed to listen to and she was going to do it. Nodding to Hestia, Neo quickly made her way towards the head of the leviathan once more and attacked it with the most powerful sword art she could. It was little what she could do, but at least it was something. Once her attack was over and she was free from the end lag of her attack, she moved back to regroup with her party so that they coudl turn to taking on the sahagin that had spawned when they took out the segment.

  22. Neo nodded as Hestia called out what she wanted the party to do. Though Neo did see that the others who had hit the queen seemed to get affected by something, it didn't seem to be doing anything for the moment. Her opening was finally there as the others became occupied with taking on the leviathan's spawn. Jumping up, Neo let her parasol stop covering her from the pouring rain and let her sword art loose against the head of the beast. The beams of energy were black and the parts struck started to blacken. It wasn't much damage to it, but it was still going to be enough to at least hurt it she thought. Its health bar may have crawled up slowly, but it was going to go down much quicker than that. Landing onto the wet sand, Neo quickly maneuvered to get towards the segment. She had a feeling she might need to be helping rid the sahagin that were going to inevitably spawn upon its death now that Pinball was stuck on ice.
