  1. Neo noted the sandstorm whipping up suddenly around them and figured that the fight had begun. As she knew it was a monstrous creature that they were facing, she went ahead and pulled out her weapon so as to be ready. Mars went in for his attack and knocked the creature down into the yellow. Neo quickly followed up with a procession of thrusts to try and take out the creature. She thought she had it, but there was the tinieset slivers of health left over when she felt the last of her sword art leaving her. With a glance towards Mars that she wasn't sure he could see in this sand, she hoped he would realize he should be the one to get that final blow in. It would be plenty enough to kill the creature and stop this little sandstorm. They were getting more sturdy, but still not enough to frighten Neo.

  2. Neo was at the door of her house and waited for the response from Su. It took some time, yes, but it came eventually. Reading the message, she decided. To just let her be for the moment afte sending off some quick words to her as well. Going back in to the house, she waited with the front door in sight so she could check to see if Su left that way. Better to at least know how she was coping rather than just leave it be entirely. She made a bare attempt to stay kind of hidden off to the side so at the very least Su could ignore that she was there if she just wanted to leave instead of try to talk it through. Her own pain was nothing to take precedent over Neo trying to fix everything. She wanted to let her get through it on her own rather than Neo fix everything. She would be help though if she caame to her. Confirming that the message had been sent, she sipped quietly on some tea that she had brought from the kitchen.

  3. Neo popped into the shop after receiving a message from the owner about her order being partway done. She was a little bit sad there weren't as many crafter's respites done yet, but it was what it was. Nodding her thanks to the shopkeeper, she quickly made her way back to her own shop to start crafting some more. It seemed she was keeping everyone including herself busy with making items these days. Or at the very least, that was the case with the front liners and the ones crafting for them. Hopefully she would earn herself a rest here soon.

    Items picked up:

    As Neo was doing her best to make items for the raid, she realized that she was getting stuff that was too good for the raid itself. Though yes it was what the front lines were going to want, she didn't feel like this was the kind of quality she wanted to be just giving away. This was the high end food that she would much rather try to keep and sell. She would give it away if she had to, but she would much rather still be able to make some profit. She wasn't always able to go out and gather materials all the time so she wanted to make sure there was still some form of influx coming her way to keep the shop treading water at the very least. No one could give things away if they weren't somehow getting paid otherwise. She felt caught in a little time loop again. This was deja vu on a whole other level.

  7. Neo walked into the shop and browsed the wares for a little bit before coming to Zandra with her order. she needed some preparations for the raid coming up and had a feeling Zandra wasn't going to be exactly willing to be giving out freebies at the raid itself. It was a little bit rude of her to do that, though to each their own. Neo wasn't in the business for profit, though she did have a few big spenders that came by her shop now and again. Probably due to the fact that she was the sole cook that was coming around. Sending Zandra a message with her order on it, Neo bowed in gratitude and then made to leave the shop. She had a few other things to attend to and she wouldn't be surprised if Zandra was backed up with items at the moment.

  8. Mars certainly didn't seem all too surprised about the possibility of the fight occurring, though she just nodded to his question about something happening. There was some sort of tension between the players when she had gone to fight the labyrinth guardian. Nothing that she could really suss out though because the others had left before even 10 seconds had passed. Perhaps she would be able to figure it out once she had gone to the meeting that would be called. he had a feeling now that she wasn't just the raid cook she would be getting an invite sooner than later. When Mars asked about what the quest was in the distance Neo just shrugged. She had been to this floor so many times she could barely tell the quests apart. Hopefully this would be the last trip she had to take up here. There was too many things on this floor, better to go to somewhere else where it wasn't so blisteringly hot.

  9. ((I can roll for stealth if you actually want to try to find me))

    Neo was shocked as Su quickly ran out the back door of the house into the yard. There was no reason for her to be upset. If anything Neo should be the one apologizing for basically using Su. Using her hiding skill, Neo saw Su behind a tree crying and talking to herself. At the very east she hadn't run out of the safe zone that the house created. Drafting up a message, she quickly sent it over to Su. she didn't hint at where she was at looking at her as she wanted to make sure Su could have the time she needed for herself. Once she saw Su's reaction to the message, she would head back towards the house to make sure she beat Su there if she came back.

        I should be the one apologizing. Don't feel bad about bringing up the topic. I didn't even remember I had that friend until recently. I'm sorry for making you have to share my pain. There's a reason I don't really tell people. Not even Haz knows.

  10. Neo nodded in acknowledgement of Embers compliment. As wired for violence as the girl seemed to be, there was still some virtue that she had in her. She definitely was not the most social of people though. Turning towards finding the last of the treants they needed to take down, Neo motioned for Embers to hang back for just a split second, she wanted to make sure there was a good opportunity to get the jump on this last treant. Spotting it up ahead, she waved Embers forward and then quickly charged towards it. He blade danced around the trunk of the treant as it brought its HP into the yellow immediately. The slashes were red, which meant her weapon wasn't quite doing what she was hoping it would. Guess that meant one more hit was going to be in order. And hopefully Embers could also come and finish this thing off on her own. Tjough it was quite possible she didn't have the energy for another attack.

  11. Neo was watching people file in nodding in acknowledgement to Mars as he came in and greeted her. She was unsure whether or not he should be up here due to his connections with Pin, but it was likely to be near inevitable he came crawling back fro wherever he was dragged off to. She felt a little bit bad for him, though there was certainly a reason he got jailed in the first place. There was also the chance that he was going to be able to find his way to some slight for of redemption eventually. Though if the rumors were true, he would never be rid of his orange cursor. Still, it would be a good reminder for him that even if he did redeem himself, he still had committed atrocities. Regardless, she needed to focus on the meeting that was about to start, and hopefully not let it get too far out of hand.

  12. The conversation was starting to wind down, and Neo was feeling really tired from the fighting and what she was having to fight internally as well. There was no telling where the next attack would come from, but it seemed that it never happened in her sleep. At the very least, it hadn't happened yet. There was no telling though if nightmares would start to pop up once she did go to sleep. Letting out a small little silent yawn, she got up and stretched. Waving Hestia goodbye, she waited a little bit before grabbing her stuff to prepare to head home. There would be some things she likely had to attend to in her shop, plus all the self-reflection that she had once she had the time to settle down. But a random inn on the 24th floor was not a good place for all of that self-reflection to take place. Best to do it in a place of her own.

  13. Neo turned towards the alchemist, mentally rolling her eyes at the question. She was pretty sure that she had already started to build a reputation as the silent cook, but perhaps not everyone had quite realized how far that silence stretched. Neo nodded her head at their question and made a motion like zipping up her lips. She had her reasons for not speaking, and she didn't feel the need to explain herself time and again. She didn't pln on changing her mind anytime soon and didn't really care for her story to spread. Even though it had gone from a general amount of spite to something that had been forgotten, she didn't wish to spread her story. At the very least, she wanted to give the accomplice of her friend's killer some chance at redeeming herself. But when she saw that red hair and crazy eyes, she would know just who she was dealing with.

    @Zandra

  14. ((putting this before the first meeting FYI))

    The two were trying to find their way towards the dragon and its sandstorm. SHe knew that they had just started looking, but still she was anxious to find it. The faster they found it the sooner it was dead, and they more than likely had quite a few more of these to take down. She wasn't worried about difficulty just yet, though she may want to start drinking some damage potions sooner than later. That would likely be the best idea for her to go with. Hearing Mars's request about info on the front lines, Neo just shook her head. There was no news yet, though she started to type up a message with some more specifics. Sending it off, she steered them away from some dunes that looked like where the sand shark resided.

        Nothing yet, though I'm expecting a meeting to get called soon. The labyrinth guardian is already down, wth some disarray of course. Not entirely sure what's going on, but I wouldn't be surprised if someone snapped at the meeting that gets called.

    @Mars

  15. Neo was caught off guard by Su's question for a bit, and she did honestly have to think about the answer she wanted to give. Starting to type up a message, she realized that there really wasn't much of a reason she could think of. At least, not that she knew of at the time. Sending it off, Neo had a bit of a guilty look in her eyes while she waited for Su to finish reading it.

    Spoiler

    TO: Sunova

        When I first entered this game, I had come in with one other person, a white-haired girl like yourself. She's... dead now, and I had repressed the memory long before I had met you. I guess it was some part of my brain that I didn't realize that thought maybe you had come back. Maybe it was them again. I didn't really realize it at the time though. It wasn't until a few months ago when I knelt behind the waterfall on floor 6 that I had all of those memories rushed back into my head. The murderer and their accomplice. The murder has long since been killed, but I don't know the accomplices name. All I remember was those gleaming eyes filled to the brim with murderous intent. They nearly got me and I just barely made it to the town in time. Since then I don't really know what to think. Are you just a replacement for losing my best friend, or are you actually her, or maybe I just need to move on. The two of you are so similar, both full of energy and wanting to stand up for the person getting bullied. I guess I just wanted Vanilla back.

    @Sunova

  16. When Neo got the message, she wasn't surprised. Then again, with all the frantic work she had been doing in preparation for the upcoming fight, it was no surprise that this message was coming out. That last meeting had been quite the mess and she wasn't sure if there was even going to be a fight for a while. On top of that, someone had come in and taken most of her stock. As such, she was going to need to be focusing as much as she could on preparing the raid, probably at the detriment of any potential customers. Not that she had much use outside of raids or solo expeditions it seemed. Letting @Hazado know she was going with a quick message, Neo washed up her hands and sent out a thought so that Roman would follow her to the teleporter. The main city wasn't too far off and then to the first floor she went.

    Once she arrived in the ampitheater, she realizeed she was the first one to arrive. It was a little bit surprising considering she felt that she had been moving quite slowly, though she wouldn't be surprised if very few showed up for this. It seemed most of the front liens were ver ydisgruntled about what was going on. And though Neo wasn't that informed about everything happening there, she had a feeling she was about to be thrown into the thick of it. She sent a message to Jomei, then took a seat on one of the benches. The stone was warm from the artificial sun and she was glad for it. It was quite likely she would be here for a little while.

    Quote

    TO: Jomei

        I'll still be able to craft items for the raid, though we might want to delay a feww more days after this meeting. Another player came and bought my stock before I had it under a raid reserve. I ordered several crafter's respites though so I should be able to get that stock back in a couple of days hopefullly. If worse comes to worst I'll be bringing a pot and finding some heat source to mooch off of at the raid itself. And a reminder that if I am short, those who paid for a package get priority. I'll try to get everyone, but there's no guarantee unless you order it.

    @Jomei

  17. Not wasting any time to move towards her next target, Neo immediately sprung into action the moment it came in to view. There was zero hesitation on that attack, and she could tell that her weapon was enjoying that so very much. It was interesting to see it responding so clearly now. That meant it left her even more vulnerable, but perhaps she could try to figure out more what it wanted. She knew it wanted the death of so many different players, to let out that aggression, but why did it want all of that. Why was there so much pent up pain and anger inside of the weapon? That was what she had come here to find out. Any rewards that come to the side of that are just happenstance at this point. She just wanted to get to the bottom of the pain she was dealing with.

  18. Neo walked onto the heat wave that was called floor five and very quickly switched out of any of the wintry coverings she had had from the fourth floor. Thry were not needed here. Her little dragon Roman seemed to be suffering a bit as well from all of this heat, as even his scales were starting to warm up a bit. She looked and saw that there was no sandstorm in sight currently, but she was also looking to the dunes themselves to make sure that there wasn't any other of the bosses that occupied these sands lurking about. It would not be the first time she had been caught off guard by one of them showing up. Even when you were searching for the creatures, there was always that factor of surprise that they held within them. There was no real way to sneak up on them either. At least, that was what she had gathered. Perhaps there were some that it was possible to do that with, but who knows if there was a guaranteed way to get that done in a small time frame. Looking towards the horizon, she nodded to Mars and began to venture out in search of the sandstorm that the creature could generate.

    @Mars

  19. Neo just sat there and listened, letting Sunova spill everything out into the open. There was no use hiding what your feelings were, at least in Neo's eyes. And as Su was asking her about whether or not she had ever been forgotten, Neo just shook her head. There may have been times that Su wasn't on the forefront of her mind, but she would not be forgotten. She was helping with the front lines now, and if she let that consume her in its entirety, she would have nothing left to fight for and no reason to keep fighting forward. This game had already taken everything away from her, she wasn't going to let it take what it had given as well. She refused its gift of speech because she knew it was not going to help her and she didn't want to acknowledge that this game had a purpose other than to mess with her. But that wasn't to say people like Su weren't there to support her constantly. Hoping that the feelings she held were expressed well enough in what her eyes showed, Neo closed in for a bit of a hug with Su. She had never been good with physical contact. It usually meant that she was about to get insulted or beaten or both back when she was at school. But this was something different. Something that actually seemed to matter to people. It was actually that platonic love she had never truly gotten to experience in the real world.

    @Sunova

  20. As soon as the alchemist had turned back towards Neo, she was able to snap out of the small trance she had been in. Her hand drifted away from the weapon she was unconsciously moving for. Best not to reveal that she had it hidden there though, even if it wasn't too hard to guess that that was the only logical place that she have an actual weapon. Hearing the question that she had for her, Neo quickly sent over a message with the words, "You wanted to meet, I presume about crafting?" Neo figured she could let the alchemist do most of the talking, but who knew if she expected Neo to do some communication of her own or not. It was all quite spontaneous the way that this meeting happened. There was no telling where else it could go at this point. Both of them seemed to have their own baggage going into this meeting. THen again, who hadn't received scars while fighting to break everyone out of this game. The only people who would leave this game without any scars were the ones who hadn't accomplished anything in the game at all.

  21. Neo just sat and listened as the two tanks conversed with each other. As Haz came over to stroke her hair a bit, she cuddled up towards him a bit. It was nice to have this comforting feeling in light of everything that had been happening to her. It was still strange to be having this voice in her head, but she wanted to make sure that she could quell it in its entirety before trying to face it. At least, that was what she was looking for. If it wasn't going to be doing that well in terms of going away, she may have to come and meet it before she was ready to. For now it had faded away in the heat of the moment, but it had already done its damage. What else could it do now that she knew she had gone nearly if not actually unconscious. What could it do to wreck her life, make her think doing unjust or immoral things were completely ok. It was so strange to be having these compulsions, but where they were coming from she could onoly trace back to the weapon she had received. That was the one common denominator that she could find.
