  1. Neo walked into the shop, a dark aura surrounding her. As much as she knew walking into a town would be dangerous, she needed to upgrade her defenses if she was to become this reckless. Though her visage was as grim as her new personality, her silence and order of a parasol shield was likely enough to give her away. She didn't particularly care if she was recognized. All she knew was that anyone who tried to dig her out of this hole was going to be in for a very rough time. She would rather avoid losing the friends she had and instead avoid everyone.

  2. With the fight already over, Neo turned back towards this person. There was no telling what they were really thinking, but she couldn't help but resume her smile at them referencing themselves as a god. Did they really think that? After she was the one who outlasted them in the boss fight? God's don't bleed, that much she knew. All the while it seemed that they didn't know who they were. Perhaps she would let them attack her first, since then she wouldn't even suffer the cursor.

    And all the while this interaction was happening on the outside, there was another fight trembling on the inside. The light and the dark of Neo vying for control. It wouldn't be long before the light would grow tired of fighting. Then again, the dark had yet to vest its full control over Neo. There was no telling who the victor of the war would be, but the battle was currently darkness's to lose.

  3. Don't kill him, that was what took all of her mental power to do. The darkness controlling Neo kept her still, sheathing the sword stylishly into her parasol before she flipped it back up towards her shoulder for a rest from the sun. All this black was not really doing her a favor. Why did the programmers have to make the game this realistic. The person seemed to be wanting to go somewhere, and then made their offer clear. But Neo knew that if she walked out of that circle, she would not be able to contain herself. All she could do was to try and keep herself rooted here and wait for the thing to re-spawn, locking her into combat until another player came her way and lowered the damage immunity by adding a second person in the arena. She wanted to become another piece of the scenery, but this man wanted her to go and get lunch.

    Little did he know that she had her own restaurant, not to mention there really was no need to be eating in this game. All it was was a nuisance that could eventually be ignored. No debuffs came with not eating, nothing would get in her way. Just an incessant request to try and free herself from this prison. But she wouldn't, she couldn't. There was no way to control herself now, she wanted revenge, and this perpetual fight was all she would grant her desires.

    Her eyes , shadowed by her parasol, stared daggers into the person who had come to kill the monster with her. Though the quest had been defeated, it was quite clear another challenge was awaiting the player should they choose to take it. Did they wish to drag her out? Smoke her out? It was their move now, because Shadows would run now that the dust had settled on this arena.

  4. Neo had continued to fight the creature, when someone came in. They grabbed her somewhat roughly by the hand, as she was still holding her weapon and parasol of a shield. While they were dancing, she simply gave them a death glare. They would eventually let her go and attack the creature. Their blow was powerful, but she knew it wasn't the strongest she had seen. Coming up behind him, she took his hand. Using him almost like a pole, she went low to spin around him. Her blade cut across the creatures hide, now damaging it that the immunity of a solo duel had worn off. The creature shriveled up as the dark fog of her blade reduced its health bar to zero, much unlike the usual shattering effect. And to cut off her sweeping momentum, Neo hooked her legs underneath the person, going for a tripping motion while letting go of their hand.

    If they wanted to dance, they could do so with the darkness they had just unleashed. It seemed the world truly didn't want her to be held forever in her own prison. The small bit of pushing the logical side of Neo was able to do.

  5. Neo's smirk just grew wider. This player thought she wasn't a threat. Or maybe they were just putting up a big mean face to try and scare her off. Regardless, she didn't get the hance to find out. A monster came barreling through the trees. Even though it seemed to be a sea based monster, there was no telling just how much land it had traversed to stop this. They had probably wandered into its domain unknowingly. Without blinking an eye, Neo quickly tore a sword art towards the creature. It may have caught her by surprise, but she wasn't going to let it live because of that. Her weapon scraped along the side, damaging the beast enough to immediately knock it into the yellow. She didn't like that amount of damage, as it meant she could neither intimidate this player with the one shot nor tell if he could out-damage her. The darkness wanted to use the chaos to kill the player, but Neo held on to what she could and not kill her friend.

    Neo was going around like a chicken with her head cut off. She quickly nodded as another person gave her a to-go order. There wasn't much time, but she was pretty sure she already had enough stuff prepared to quickly whip up that order. Sure enough, she was able to squeeze out an extra item's worth with the batch she was working on. As she finished the touches on another order, she handed off that item and messaged the others that she was done with her orders. Taking a seat, she was ready to collapse now that she had caught up. It was a smaller deficit then she thought it would be, but still quite a bit.

  8. Neo simply smirked at the player's request. She had no business telling them anything. For if they were able to see underneath her dark visage, he would know precisely who she was. Instead, she paced around in a circle about the player, taking in their every reaction. Her parasol was currently closed, though carried close at her side in case they decided to engage. As for her business, she felt her intentions were perfectly clear. They had no business being here, and she was simply a wanderer. There was no reason for this interaction to occur, and yet it did.

    Though her eyes remained focused on the player in front of her, she was still wary of anything else that might engage them. Whether it be another creature or perhaps even a player killer. Then again, if an orange cursor player were to show up, she might just end them here and now. Even if they were higher level than her, she doubted that they would be ready for someone to fight back. They would just be seeing her as an easy target to quickly kill. But she was not that anymore, no longer would she be the weakling to be suppressed.

    The sands were whipping against her dark clothes as she was twisting her feet to the rhythm of the fight. A sword glanced off of her parasol, blacker than the darkest cave. Her own rapier danced with the skin of the reptilian beast that stood in front of her. This was less of a fight and more of a dance now. She had been here for who knew how long, fighting this beast to no avail. She had already killed it before, and she knew it was not going to die until someone else came along. But being stuck in this arena meant her wild self wouldn't lose control on others. She would either be here until she died, or someone decided to unleash her darkness upon the world around them.

    The monster backed up, and Neo took the opportunity to down a potion, insurance for when she would be really getting into this fight. Wiping the liquid from her darkened lips, she flipped her parasol up for some shade. Her rapier didn't even glint as she swiped it to the side, as it was covered in the darkness that gripped at her mind. Staring at the beast, she waited for its next charge. And when it did, she engaged it for the next round in this struggle.

  10. Neo was stalking behind the other player. The darkness within her mind wanted to lash out at them, but Neo had some better hopes in mind. She came up behind them slowly, then lightly poked the rapier into their back. If they turned around, they would see a look on her face that could only be asking them what their business here was. The only possible bit of appearance that would leave her recognized was her parasol, which had somehow grown blacker with the darkness in her soul and mind. She wanted to get some use out of this person first.

    Then we can deal with them.

    There was little Neo could do now, her desires had taken control of her, the anger was free to roam Aincrad now. She wanted to control herself, but impulse was the victor in the end after all. What else could it have been?

    Neo hadn't been to her shop in a while. It was probably best that she dealt with many of the orders that had piled up by now. There was fewer than she thought there would be considering the length of her absence, but she got to working on them as quickly as she could. It wouldn't be long before she was able to get what she needed to have the order complete. The only issue was the one by a Tricolor_Mina. They had ordered quite the eclectic mix of items. Just meant she wouldn't be able to do bulk cooking as much as she would like to.

    The darkness was fogging her mind, reducing her to only carnal desires. Though her self restraint had stopped the worst from happening, most of it was spent maintaining her final promise to herself. That she would never accept the price she had paid for the "gift" of speech. She had been wandering around ever since that fateful time with Hestia, slaughtering any creature in her way and doing what she could to grow more powerful. Few had contacted her after the events on the 24th floor, and she knew that there was little many could do. She was consumed by her own hatred. Hatred of a system that would never give her what she needed while only taking what she wanted. And today, these wanderings led to the 12th floor.

    There was a constant patter of rain as Neo made her way through the swamp and towards a lake. In the distance, she spotted someone else who seemed to be wandering about, someone familiar. Though they would be unlikely to recognize Neo's own new look, it did mean that she could rely on someone should things go south in the moment. Of course, the small portions of logic that Neo still held on to would now be spent restraining herself from harming someone she knew. She had barely been able to stop herself from murdering a child player earlier, hopefully the threat of force would make it easier to resist the temptations now.

  13. Neo was shocked by the events happening. She realized that she was likely to soon witness her first floor boss dying in front of her. She had only been keeping up with the frontlines for a short amount of time, and she was already here fighting with them. When she looked back, she realized just how far she had come.

    But we still have work to be done.

    Of the few times I'll ever agree with you, this is one of them. Let's kill this thing.

    With an unbridled anger, Neo charged at the beast with everything she could. A black cloud of smoke seemed to surround her, the fallen energy of her rapier coming against the creature with an unholy might not even she knew she had in her. If she talked, she would scream. But all that could be heard after her attack was the panting of her breath and the look of fury in her eyes.

  14. They were going to be able to take this down,hopefully. Neo just wanted to finally be done with this fight. It was still anyone's game right now. But the proper timing for their attacks and they could close out this fight entirely. It was still going to take a few hits to finish off the boss, but they should be able to do so soon enough. But to hit the boss, they needed to take out this segment. Neo went after it with her strongest sword art, but it was barely any damage. She seemed to be keeping up with the other players here, which was surprising, but only barely. Her sword clinked against the scales of the beast, and she could tell the health bar went down a bit more. It probably wasn't going to be enough to take the beast's part down, but hopefully they could do something to it and make their way forward even more so than last time.

  15. As Neo was about to move forward to finish off the last of the enemies that they were facing, she felt a cold wash over her. It was not unfamiliar at this point, but it was the first time in a little while that it had kept her in place. Finding herself incapable of moving, she flicked her eyes around and noticed Hestia coming towards her. They didn't free her, not that she thought it was worth the effort of trying to anyways. But they did let a green aura wash around her and heal up some of her wounds. SHe would've nodded in thanks if she was capable of doing so.

  16. Neo noticed that there weren't many others who were going for the crystal once again. And the couple that went for it missed entirely. It was understandable to try an take out the Sahagin, but they needed that thing dead. It was near enough to death that it was reasonable for her to go for a weaker sword art. And if she didn't put as much force behind it, she would be able to concentrate more on getting the hit. Focusing herself, she felt the darkness of her blade rush through her. That adrenaline rush that had started to come with every bit of pain she caused. The first thrust forced the crystal to dodge to the right. The second made it dodge down. The third strike forced it back center, and then she finished with a surprising downwards slash to attempt and shatter the crystal. THe blow connected, and she could feel the crystal cracking under the darkness of her blade.

  18. Neo could feel the chill in the air, but the scalding water from earlier was protecting her from its effects. using this opportunity, she quickly went after the crystal surrounded by water. They couldn't afford to let it heal the boss. If it did, there was no telling if they would be able to win this fight, They were barely doing enough damage to the boss as it was. If it was able to go back up consistently, they wouldn't win this fight. Others were pre-occupied with things such as the Sahagin, so she focused on what she believed she could take out. Lunging towards it, she quickly realized her blade was working against her. The thing that had been craving death for so long was now no longer working its magic. She was stuck on her own against this object it seemed. Everyone else was not paying attention to it or unable to hit it.

  19. Neo charged at Leviathan with the rest of the group. Though she was burned by the hot water coming at them, she charged through it to do as much damage as she possibly could. It wasn't going to be enough to kill by any means, but this war of attrition needed to start moving in their favor. If it didn't, their were sure to lose their grip. Mars had to drop out just recently, and Neo wasn't sure how much longer she would be able to draw out staying here. And there was certainly others who were struggling to keep themselves afloat in this fight. Retreating back towards a defensive formation, she waited in patience for what came at her next. They had smaller fish to fry right now. Take care of themselves and they would take care of the boss. Hopefully was all she could say to that though.
