  1. Alec gritted his teeth for what was to come. The large man knew how his aging body reacted. When his knees gave way like that it was never a good sign. This fight had been going on too long and his body was beginning to protest. The heavily muscled man placed his hands upon his thighs to assist as he flexed his tree trunk like legs and stood fully upright. Both his knee caps once more let out shotgun like pops as they realigned themselves and allowed him to stand once more. Thankfully the pain was no where near as bad as in the real world but it still wasn’t a comfortable sensation by any sense of the word. As Alec regained his footing the raised his shield up once more and looked to the massive wolf as it lunged forward mouth gaping and snarling. As the alpha wolf slammed into the huge man the impact was a cacophonous thud as the massive beast met the solid resistance of Alec’s shield. Blood Bane began snapping and biting as it tore fresh gouges in the large man before he could shove the beast free. His shield chilling the wolf in response to its attacks.

  2. Alec continued his slow methodical fight with the alpha wolf Blood Bane. Slowly the large man shifted his feet as the giant beast circled him probing for weaknesses in the heavily muscled Tanks defenses. Every time the beast moved Alec shifted his stance and his weight to adjust for his opponents new position. After what seemed like an eternity Alec stepped forward intent on activating his Sword Art Perunic Crash once more. As the large man stepped forward and bent his knees to jump high into the air there was a resounding double pop as both his knees collapsed causing the large man to flail and fall to the ground. Damn his aging joints and bones Alec cursed silently as he fell to the ground and watched as the huge wolf charged in with murder in his feral eyes. As Blood Bane leaped Alec raised his shield in reaction trying to catch the giant wolf and send him sailing continuing its path over his own head but Blood Bane landed square on the middle of Alec’s shield and began snapping and biting at the mans face opening new gashes and cuts on his already damaged head and face. Alec gave a titanic shove and sent the beast sailing back the way it had come as he prepared for the effort of standing back up.

  3. Frustrated and irritated at his own failure and flaws the large man stood with his Shield of the Whorleater held up and ready its icy edges covered in frost that steamed in the warmer air as Alec stared over its top and eyed the beast he was fighting with a renewed sense of caution and wary. As he shifted his feet and adjusted his stance to match the wolf Blood Bane’s movements Alec glanced from the wolf’s health bar to his own comparing the two and trying to think on what his next course of action should be. He knew real fighting but this video game crap was Danny’s domain he could have done the math and known what the next action should be but Alec was not skilled in the area so he did what he knew and fought on. As Blood Bane charged forward he raised his shield up to defend and met the charging beast with the icy scale turned shield vowing to himself to defeat the beast before him. Blood Bane lunged and landed atop the man ripping and biting at his joints searching for a weakness in between the thick metal plates. Alec shoved his shied and the beast atop it sending the wolf flying as his shield send another wave of chill through the beast.

  4. Alec staggered back wiping the blood from his eyes from Blood Banes last attack and cursing himself for his carelessness and stupidity for allowing the beast to get such an attack in at that stage in the fight. As Alec continued to wipe at the blood gushing down his forehead and into his eyes he was distracted and allowed Blood Bane a second opportunity which it happy took. The alpha wolf lunged in and delivered another bite to the large man lapping and licking at the flowing blood bolstering itself and causing it’s health bar to raise significantly. The wolf’s health bar sky rocketed to nearly the yellow zone as Alec’s plummeted further towards the red zone. It was a horrible mistake to happen at such a late stage in the game but that’s who fights seemed to go for the large man he thought to himself as he finished cleaning the and staunching the blood flowing into his face as he brought his shield back up with a heavy exhale and prepared to fight the uphill battle back to gaining tactical superiority over his opponent once more.

  5. Alec continued to match Blood Banes movements keeping the alpha wolf in front of him and his shield squarely between the two. Now was not the time to let his guard down and suffer for the mistake. He was close to finishing this fight but it wasn’t over yet. So Alec did his best to keep his defenses high and not let the wolf Blood Bane find any gaps or mistakes to exploit. As Alec matched its movements Blood Bane surged into motion lunging forward with a renewed sense of savagery and aggression bear down on the larger man and overwhelming him. The beast pounced upon Alec and tore at his face and neck opening up a series of deep wounds that gushed blood uncontrollably into the large man’s face and eyes blinding him. As he brought his hands up instinctively to defend his eyes and head the frost rimmed edged of his shield flared and sent a wave of bone chilling cold into Blood Bane searing the wolf in its intensity. The coldness brought a slight numbness to Alec’s shield arm as the beast yipped and jumped free of the extreme cold shivering from the effect.

  6. Alec watched as Blood Bane’s health bar took another dip. The beast was weakening but the fight was far from over Alec thought to himself as he cautiously eyed the alpha wolf. As the beast circled the large man Alec shifted his feet and his stance to continue to keep the wolf positioned directly before him. The last thing Alec needed now was a lucky hit to tip the tables back in the other direction he thought to himself as he continued his breathing techniques to calm his racing heart and slow his pulse to an easy manageable level. Alec offered a nod to the wolf acknowledging its skill and fierceness as he waited patiently for it to attack. Hopefully another few rounds and this fight would be done. But now was not the time to celebrate Alec reminded himself as the huge beast lunged at him growling savagely. As Blood Bane collided with the large man’s shield its teeth chewed and dug finding another soft spot between Alec’s armored plating. As the beasts teeth sank in Alec thrust it free with a surge of strength his shield biting into the wolf and icing the wolf’s pelt yet again as his Frost Thorns proved their worth once more when combined with regular Thorns. Alec let a small smile slip across his face.

  7. The fight was progressing well, slow but in the right direction Alec thought to himself as he continued to adjust his stance to the ever changing position of the alpha wolf as the paced back and forth around the large man. As Alec watched the wolf he felt a warm reassuring glow of energy flow through his body as his friend and companion Humphrey sent another greatly appreciated wave of healing energy flowing through Alec. “Thanks pal.” Alec offered with a smile as he glanced over his shoulder at the bear cub standing protectively behind the large man. “You’re a life saver.” Alec stated with a warm genuine smile as he turned back to Blood Bane steeling his gaze and hardening his features as he prepared for another attack from the massive wolf. True to form the beast lunged itself at the large man slamming its body into his shield and snapping its maw as it sought an unprotected area amid the large mans heavy armor plating. Blood Bane scored another hit as Alec heaved the beast off of him his shield frosting over once more and chilling the wolf as it landed and glared once more at Alec it’s fur tipped in quickly melting frost.

Alec stood breathing deeply once more as he stood patiently waiting for his Energy bar to recharge enough to allow him another attack on Blood Bane, but until then he was forced to stand and wait patiently for the alpha wolf to choose to attack first. So with no other choice than to wait patiently, wait patiently is what he did. As he watched the wolf stalked to and fro snarling and growling at the larger man. “You’re tough.” Alec acknowledged of the beast. “But I’m tougher.” Alec stated with resolute assurance as he eyed the beast his shield held before himself defensively. Blood Bane let out a snarl and charged forward teeth bared and leading the way as he lunged at the heavily armored man. As the alpha wolf slammed into the man its teeth screeched and scrawled across the thick metal plates before finding purchase in one of the joints sinking in and opening a red wound in the man’s arm and he shoved the beast free his shield slashing into the wolf with the icy edges of the scale turned shield.

  9. Alec delivered another solid hit to Blood Bane dropping his health further towards zero but the fight was far from over as Alec once more found himself gasping for breath as he had used the last ounces of hie Energy once more. The dreaded bar was at zero once more and it was going to take several more rounds of purely defensive tactics for the heavily muscled Tank before he was able to attack the beast once more. So as the large man gulped huge lungfuls of air and fought to calm his racing pulse and pounding heartbeat he stood calm and resolute his shield held up before him his battle ax held loosely by his side as he stared the enraged beast down and waited for it to make its next move. As Alec stood he watched as Blood Bane stalked back and forth before once more lunging and throwing himself at the large man, its saliva dripping teeth searching for any purchase under the large mans heavy plated armor. As Blood Bane bit deeply into Alec’s body he once more shoved the beast free as his shield delivered another icy blast of frigid air to the wolf crusting its fur in another white icy crust of frost.

  10. Alec watched both his Energy bar tick painfully slowly up and his opponent Blood Bane pace back and forth. Finally his Energy bar reached a pitifully low amount but just enough for the large man to unleash another Sword Art. Without wasting a single second the large man quickly activated Perunic Crash once more and launched himself into the air with a mighty flex of his massive legs. The leap felt like he was flying as he sailed to the top of his arc and grasped his battle ax firmly in his hand, his knuckles creaking on the wooden haft of the weapon. As he streaked toward the ground like a comet the large man brought the double headed axe over his head and brought it crashing to the ground with a deafening rumble of thunder unleashing a powerful slash of energy that streaked towards Blood Bane slamming into the alpha wolfs body opening another deep angry red slash across its chest as the energy wave slammed home. Blood Bane howled in pain and charged forward throwing himself on the large man teeth snapping and biting as he sought soft flesh below the thick armor plates encasing the man. Alec thrust the beast away once more as his shield flared with icy vengeance coating the wolf’s pelt in a sheen of frost as it landed and glared at the man.   11. As Alec watched Blood Bane picked itself up from the ground once more shaking dust, dirt and branch pieces from its fur. The beast let out a savage snarl as it turned a hateful eye to the large man and began stalking back and forth once more as if psyching itself up for the coming attack. Alec stood steady and resolute as he watched the beast prepare itself for its next attack. The large man had little choice but to wait as he watched his Energy bat tick painfully slowly up from empty. Another round or two Alec thought to himself and he’d be able to attack again. Blood Bane let out a bark before charging once more towards Alec its teeth bared and its maw gnashing. As the beast leaped atop the large man it snapped and bit searching for purchase under the mans thick armor plated body. Alec received several small cuts and scratches as his Battle Healing worked at full tilt to regenerate all the damage he had taken. Alec flexed his muscles throwing the feral wolf free of his body and watched as the ice frosted wolf landed once more and snarled.

  12. As Blood Bane caught itself and continued its pacing and stalking the beast eyed the large man balefully. Alec watched the alpha wolfs stalking shifting his feet occasionally to adjust for his opponents new position and location. Blood Banes health had slipped down and was now under half and the bar announcing his health was colored yellow. Alec dared not hope this fight was shifting in his direction especially after how far the other direction it had been previously. As he continued to watch the beast Blood Bane stalk he waited patiently for the alpha wolf to attack, it was all he could do after all. He was still too low on Energy to make a worthwhile attack so another attack or two and he should be able to have enough regained to attack once more. Suddenly Blood Bane lurched into motion but the sudden burst of motion seemed to catch the wolf off guard as much as the man when once more Blood Bane tripped over its own paws and went sprawling and tumbling once more looking like a huge furry ball that tumbled and rolled past the large man to once more end up in a pile at the base of a tree as the beast untangled itself and attempted to raise into a standing position.

Blood Bane picked itself up from them ground shaking dust, dirt and brush pieces from its fir with an irritated growl as it looked around still slightly wobbly on its legs as it spotted Alec and let out deep menacing growl. The large man let out a deep rumbling chuckle as he held a hand out towards the beast. “Hey. I know how you fell.” The large man offered still chuckling. “I can’t even count the number of times I’ve found myself I n that very same position.” Alec offered as he brought his weapon and shield back around ready for Blood Bane’s attack. The beast looked neither comforted or thankful for Alec’s shared words as it snarled and charged forward. Blood Bane struck the large man with massive amounts of force as it snapped and chomped at the large man opening gashes in his face and body as it found gaps in the large mans thick armor. Alec shoved with all his might throwing the beast free of himself, his shield leaving an icy layer on the wolfs pelt as it landed and began pacing and stalking once more glaring at the heavily muscled man.

  14. Alec watched on as Yuki charged forward her giant lance glowing with internal power as she lashed out stabbing and slashing at the Bee Minions. Her attacks were clean and precise its just the Bee’s mitigation was higher than her damage output and that Alec could relate to better than anyone else around as far as he knew. That had been his main issue for so long. He had targeted all his skills toward his defense that his attacks had been woefully under powered for quite some time. “Nice shot!” Alec called out cheerfully sensing the young woman was getting frustrated. “Don’t get down on yourself.” Alec called over. “You’re doing awesome! You’re a Tank and our job isn’t to pump out damage it’s to keep the mobs attention on us so the damage dealers can dish out the punishment. I had the same problem too for a long time. I maxed my mitigation but didn’t focus too much on my own damage. If you can find yourself a good damage dealer you’ll be all set. I still run into this problem to this day. I can take almost all the hits in the world but my damage just can’t get through some mobs mitigation to save my life. You and I have to fight battles of attrition. We have to slowly wear down our opponents with time and patience. It can get frustrating but hey you’re still giving one heck of a run on the Hate and that’s our job.” Alec offered with a smile as he activated Timber Slash and proceeded to slam his battle ax into the side of the Bees turning two of their opponents into red explosions of pixels that twinkled and sparkled as they rained down around the pair.

  15. Alec stood patiently waiting for Blood Bane to make its move. The large heavily muscled Tank had no Energy again and he was forced to stand by and wait for it to recover once more. This was probably one of the worst parts of this life he thought to himself. Stuck waiting for a tiny bar to tick back up painfully slowly so he could act again. The heavily muscle man bit his lip as he stood waiting for the line alpha wolf to make its move and attack. As Alec stood feet apart and knees bent his icy shield held before him the watched as the might wolf raised its head to the sky and let out a howl to the tree tops. The wold seemed to swell and grow slightly becoming more solid and thick in muscle and fur. Alec had seen this before and waited for the best to charge delivering a massive blow that was going to hurt. As Blood Bane lowered its head and glared at the Tank it began its charge. As it took its first step the wolf stumbled and tripped catching its paws and rolling in a ball of fur and legs as it bowling balled right past the large man causing him to stop stunned as he raised a hand to scratch his bald head turning to follow the hairy tumbling ball of wolf as it crashed into a tree behind him.

  16. Alec stood taking deep breaths of air as he slowly began recovering his Energy and regained his breath. His breaths had slowed along with his heart beat as well. Alec really needed to look into a way for conserving or recovering his Energy better. Unless he could destroy his opponent quickly he always ran out of Energy and ended in this position gasping for breath as he waited for his Energy bar to slowly tick up to where he could do anything again. As the large man waited for Blood Bane to make its move he reached into a pouch and removed another blood red crystal which he crushed in his mighty palm causing a warm flood of warming tingling energy to flow through his body body he watched his hit points climb back closer to the full line. With a solid and pleased nod Alec turned his eyes back to Blood Bane and the beast lunged forward snarling and growling. Alec met the creatures charge with the ice covered scale he used for a shield smashing it into Blood Banes face. The beast growled and snapped as it bit at the large man opening minor wounds in his arm as his icy shield bit back into Blood Bane once more frosting its pelt and causing it ti yip and retreat from the viscous shields retributive strikes.

  17. Alec glanced away from the bees once more shooting a protective eye towards his current battle partner. The young woman held off from attacking as she had said she would but for the moment she seemed lost in thought and possibly to be day dreaming. Alec gave a shrug and a small shake of his head as he turned his attention once more back to the bees with a stern look upon his face and fierce gleam in his eye. “COME ON THEN!! YOU GONNA HIT ME OR NOT!?!? YOU HAVEN’T EVEN SCRATCHED ME YET” Alec bellowed in his deep baritone rumble as he threw his massive arms out wide making his already large frame an even bigger target as he took several aggressive steps forward towards the bees drawing even more of their ire swing his battle axe and shield in a come here motion like a fighter would taunting his opponent. With that Alec settled back into a defensive stance and waited for the bees to come. “Hit it!” Alec let out deeply as he glanced back at Yuki. “Unload all you got on em!” Alec called out

  18. As Alec landed he watched Blood Bane go tumbling across the ground thanks to the massive attack wave and the creatures inability to maintain its feet. The break was something Alec sorely needed as he placed his hands upon his knees doubling over as he panted and gasped for breath before he remembered what his football coach had always pounded into him and the other players when they’d doubled over gasping for air. “STAND TALL MEN!!!” The voice in his head boomed. “YOU’LL GET NO AIR BENT OVER TLIKE THAT!! STAND UP AND BREATHS BOY!!!” The voice continued to rumble as Alec let out a gasp of breath standing up and placing his hands on his hips and expanding his already massive chest allowing his lungs to expand and inflate as he gulped greedily at the air filling his lungs. “Yes coach.” Alec replied in a breathy whisper as he saw Blood Bane standing up and regrouping itself before lunging at the large man. Alec barely had time to bring his shield up blocking most the huge wolf’s attack. The beast scrabbled and clawed biting at the large man and delivering damage as his shield bit back at the beast with its icy sheen frosting the wolfs fur and driving it back before it could do more damage to the man.

  19. Alec stood his ground firmly his ice rimmed shield held before him as he eyed the massive wolf before him. The beast paced back and forth stalking as it glared balefully at the large heavily muscled man. The Tank shifted his feet adjusting his stance to match that of his foe. The large man was patient and knew that rushing his attack would only lead to trouble and a fatal flaw and this late in the game with his Energy near empty he couldn’t afford any mistakes he told himself in a grumble under his breath as he spotted his opening quickly activating his Sword Art Perunic Crash and launching himself into the air with a mighty heave of his tree trunk like legs. The large steel clad man rocketed into the air soaring high into the sky. As he reached the apex of his jump Alec brought his battle axe up over his head and with a mighty bellow he brought the weapon down slamming it into the ground before Blood Bane sending a mighty slash of energy crashing into the alpha wolf opening a deep red gash on the beasts chest causing the creature to stumble and tumble falling over itself from the force of the blow and sending it falling to the ground in a pile of fur and limbs as Alec readied himself to fight on.

Alec let a grin soften the his stony features of his face as he looked away form the bees to glance at the young woman. “All right then.” Alec replied in his deep baritone rumble as moved his gaze from the young fighter back to the four giant bees before them. “I’ll keep up the Howls till I can get a little bit of a lead then I’ll help out in damaging these bees.” Alec offered as he quickly activated his Howl ability once more. “HEY BEES!!!” Alec bellowed out in a deep rumble. “Come on ya drones!!! COME GET SOME!!!” Alec let out loudly as he smashed his battle ax against his shield several times letting out a deep sonorous tolling as if a massive bell had been struck, the peels rolling over them and reverberating off the trees scrambling the bees sense and enraging them further as he took a step forward setting his feet and raising his frost covered shield before him in a strong defensive stance.

  21. Alec was relaxing in his living room sipping on a tasty beverage when he heard a distinct Ping sound that indicated he had received a message. With a questioning look the heavily muscled man opened up his inbox and scrolled to the only message within it. Alec didn’t really receive messages from anyone…..ever, So when the large man received a message it was usually something. Alec tapped the icon to open the message and read over the short message contained within.

    A week ago, I got a request for an alliance with another guild. Thou there is some, complications, with the guild so I didnt aproved or declined it. We need to decide this together. That is why Im calling for Aincrad Trading Post’s first official guildmeeting. I would very much appreciate if you could spare an afternoon and come. We will start at 3 o'clock.

    Alec read the message a second time fully digesting the contents of the message. As far as he could remember he had never heard of ATP calling a meeting of any sort, they left their members alone to craft and do as they wished and that was part of what Alec liked about them. So Alec nodded to himself and stood up calling out to his friend and companion Humphrey. “Hey pal I gotta go do a meeting with some people. You wanna go with?” Alec called out as Humphrey rolled up into a sitting position on the floor and began to follow the large man. Alec quickly made his way to the 19th Floor and entered, for the first, the guild hall of Aincrad Trading Post. The large man walked slowly through the halls looking for anyone who looked like they were in charge and might know where he needed to go. “HELLO?!?!” The large man called out in his deep baritone rumble. “I got a message and I’m here for the meeting??” Alec called out loudly in his deep baritone rumble.

  22. Alec continued his fight against Blood Bane this fight had not progressed as he had hoped it would and this beast was turning out to be a more than formidable foe for the large man. Both he and his opponent were in near half their life, one slightly above the other, slightly below. Yet Alec refused to give in refused to surrender he would fight as long as he could he would win or die trying he thought with grim determination. Heck if he “died” what was the worst that would happen? He’d get to see Gwen and Danny again? If the time came he’d welcome it with open arms but until that day he’d fight with tooth and nail, fight with every fiber of his being he swore to himself as he removed another healing crystal he had bought with the intention of using during a Boss Raid if he needed it. Turned out regular old quest mobs were where he needed it he thought with a shake of his head as he gulped down the contents and awaited Blood Bane’s next attack. The wolf charged forward and leaped into the air but Alec saw the beast coming and swung his shield round slamming Blood Bane mercilessly as he batted the beast aside and watched it tumble across the ground landing several feet away.

  23. Grimly Alec fought on his life dipper ever deeper and deeper no matter what he did to try and keep it up. He eyed his foe over the top of his icy shield as he brought on of his most powerful healing crystals free of his pocket and crushed the red gem like stone in his massive fist as wave of healing energy flowed over Alec coupled with a healing surge from Humphrey as he too fought to keep the large man alive, but Alec felt none of it. He hadn’t given up and never would but he felt an emptiness within himself that made him feel hollow and without substance. Holding his ground the heavily muscled man held his vigil as he waited for his opponent Blood Bane to attack once more. As the alpha wolf charged in the large man received its attack he shifted his shield to try and block the beast as it lunged but Blood Bane cleared the large man’s shield and sank its fangs into Alec’s shoulder where it latched down and began to shake and jerk its head violently. Alec tore the beast free and watched as yet more red pixels spurted into the air and his health bar dipped further.

  24. This fight was growing dire and Alec could swear he heard the faintest sounds of music drifting on the wind as he continued to watch his own health bar fall further and further as Blood Banes would dip before jumping back up to near three quarters again. Well Alec thought to himself as he fought on. If this was what he had to offer maybe he wasn’t cut out for Front Lines duty. This wasn’t even a special boss it was a quest boss. Alec took a series of deep breaths as he rooted around in his pocket to pull out his last health potion. He still had a few healing crystals he could use if things continued to progress in the pitiful direction they were progressing currently. Alec ripped the stopper free and swallowed the red liquid not even thinking about the cinnamon flavor that tickled his tongue or the warm feeling that flowed through his body. The large man was growing numb and he watched over the ice rimmed edge of his shield as the Blood Bane snarled and came charging forward once more. As the wolf leaped atop the heavily muscled and armored man the beasts jaws snapped shut repeatedly piercing the armor plates as if they were little better than paper piercing his flesh and splashing red pixels about, but still Alec felt nothing as he thrust the creature from him and readied to continue for as long as he could.

  25. Alec continued to watch as his own health bar continued to tick down at a steady rate regardless of his Battle Healing and the healing potions he’d consumed. Even Humphrey’s healing had failed to keep his health bar from depleting as much as it had. With a grim nod and a hard eye Alec activated Perunic Crash and watched as his Energy bar too sunk to woeful levels. He would need to go on defense for a few rounds if he lasted long enough to try and regain some Energy for another Sword Art. As Alec’s battle ax began to glow with the Sword Art’s energy the large man rocketed himself into the air. Time seemed to pause as a stillness came over the large man at the apex of his soaring jump. Alec took several breaths as he thought of Gwen and Danny before time resumed and he came crashing down to the earth his battle ax crashing down to the ground and sending a wave of energy that smashed into Blood Bane and opened another rent in its hide. Blood Bane streaked forward and began a savage attack that tore and rent digital pieces of flesh from Alec’s body that shifted into red pixels as they flew away from the large man to disappear into nothing.
