  1. Alec looked with a hard smile as he saw that the giant monkey’s health bar had been dropped to below half in the single attack and retributive strike he had just taken. His features hardening the large man looked back to the giant monkey and it’s two open wounds as he once more activated his Ukon Kirves Sword Art and watched as it flickered to life causing his axe heads to to once more begin glowing with inner light and energy. Alec shifted his weight and swung his arm around twisting his hip in the process and burying the glowing axe heads deep into the side of the giant monkey causing it begin shimmering and wavering. “Sorry pal.” Alec offered with a sarcastic grin. “You looked tough. Guess I was tougher.” Alec finished as he walked past the contorting monkey and began climbing the stairs for the second floor the monkey exploding into a cloud of confetti like pixels in Alec’s wake.

  2. As the giant monkey finished it’s posing set and let out it’s bellowing roar. Alec gave a nod of his head and offered a golf clap to the beast. “Very impressive.” Alec said as a grin spread across his face. “Now it’s MY turn.” The large man said as he quickly activated his Sword Art Ukon Kirves causing the axe heads of his Forearm Axe to begin glowing with inner energy as he quickly stepped forward swinging his axe in a wide side armed swing that blurred as it struck the massive monkey hitting the best eleven times in the side and opening a gaping rent there where Alec had hacked a large portion of its body away. The gaping wound vented and gushed red pixels as the monkey howled out in pain bringing its fists each easily the size of Alec’s head down on the man’s shield and shoulder armor plates. The blows had force and stung as they connected with Alec’s armor. But in one swift motion he twisted and threw his arm into an upper cut slicing a clean fresh cut right up the center of the monkeys body and releasing yet more red pixels.

  3. As the growling rumble subsided Alec looked to the upper floor to see a monstrous monkey the size of a Silverback Gorilla emerge from the darkness. The image would have been horrifying if not for the tiny fez perched atop the monkey’s over sized head and the tiny red and gold vest it wore. The vest hung open exposing the gigantic monkey’s vast chest. “You’re a big boy, ain’t ya?” Alec asked as he readied himself for an attack. The monkey tilted it’s head to the sky and let out a thunderous roar as it launched itself into the air somersaulting in mid air and landing on the floor before Alec where suddenly the oversized monkey began striking poses as if it were competing in a Mr Universe competition. Flexing and growling the monkey struck pose after pose before throwing it’s arms out wide and bellowing to the sky.

  4. Alec let out a slow exhale of breath as he relaxed his shoulders and back muscles standing up to his full height of nearly six and a half feet tall. The large man glanced to the side and offered a smile to his friend and companion Humphrey. “That wasn’t so bad was it?” Alec asked with a grin to his American bear cub follower. “But we’re just getting started aren’t we? We still haven’t seen this wicked Ole Witch yet have we?” He asked with a wry chuckle as he stepped forward and placed his hands upon the large wooden double doors before him. With a powerful shove Alec forced both doors wide open revealing a large room with double curving staircases beyond. As the doors struck the walls with a resounding boom the large man heard a deep growl come from the darkness of the second floor beyond the staircases. “Well bud.” Alec said in his deep baritone rumble. “Looks like it’s time for round two.”

  5. As Alec’s axe head passed through its last target the large man found himself standing before a single monkey now with a health bar flashing an angry red and nearly at zero. Alec shifted his stance more to account for the single target as he raised his shield and eyed the monkey as it flapped and jumped hooting and howling at him in anger and frustration. The larger man calmly cocked his arm bringing his Forearm Axe up next to his ear as he rotated his shoulder and brought the twin crescent shaped axe heads down in an over hand chop as if splitting wood. The axe head clove clean through the monkey leaving two separate mirror image halves that began to waver and flex before exploding into twin showers of pixels that danced in the air like dust motes before disappearing into nothing. The large man stood up and relaxed his arms and shoulders as he looked around his vicinity.

  6. Alec raised his shield before him to ready his defenses against the pair of monkeys yer remaining as he dropped his Forearm Axe behind himself readying to swing. The pair of monkeys hoped around hooting and making noises as they tried to circle the lone man taking advantage of their greater numbers. Alec calmly pivoted keeping the monkeys in his sights as he once more activated Crescent Thrush swinging his glowing axe heads out and slamming the glowing blade into the side of one the remaining monkeys as the other deftly ducked under the strike. As the glowing axe head bit into the monkey its body began to shake and contort before bursting like a ripe melon in the sun, becoming twinkling pixels that floated to the ground harmlessly. The sole remaining monkey threw itself at the larger man slamming its fists fruitlessly against his heavy armor plates and shield. Alec took one calm step backward as he prepared to finish of the lone survivor.

  7. Alec readjusted his footing and brought his shield back up in front of him to protect against the four monkeys. Animals were always more dangerous when cornered or injured so Alec made sure to pay extra attention to their movements and actions as he readied for another strike. Seeing their low health levels the Tank decided to tone back his attacks and use a lesser Sword Art instead activation Crescent Thrush. As his twin axe heads sprang to life with inner energy the large man swung out in a looping swing that buried itself into three of the four monkeys before him. As his axe head slammed into two of his targets they began to shimmer and waver before exploding into twin clouds of pixels that twinkled and sparkled in the sunlight as the two remaining monkeys pounced on the man flailing and slamming their fists against his armor and shield. Only one managed to connect with the larger man as the other threw itself hopelessly against Alec’s shield. Alec slashed across the monkey that had hit him slicing deeply and dropping it’s health to nearly zero in the process.

  8. “Hold up!” The large man called out holding up a hand to the four winged monkeys. “Seriously?!?” “Flying monkeys evil witch? Really?!? Wizard of Oz?!? Ring any bells you lazy Fs?!?” The large man called out to sky. “You boys must have been running short of ideas.” Alec yelled as he readied his shield and axe for the fight to come as the monkeys hooted, hollered and lunged for the larger man screeching as they came. Alec quickly activated his Timber Slash Sword Art and swung his Forearm Axe around in a wide sweeping arc that slammed home into the sides of all four Flying Monkeys taking huge chunks from each of them and dropping their health bars into the red with a single strike. The monkeys began screeching in rage and pain as they slammed their fists against the Tanks Heavy Armor and shield. Alec shifted his shield back and forth to intercept their strikes knock two of the monkeys back while receiving hits from the other two that left small bruises upon his shoulders and face. Alec slashed across the pair with his razor edged shield slicing the pair nearly in two and causing their health bars to begin flashing angrily.

  9. As the trial continued through the sparse forest Alec eventually caught sight of the forest opening up where he spotted the trail winding its way up a craggy hillside, nearly a mountain top, to what appeared to be a dark creepy spooky old castle. “Well pal?” Alec asked in a hushed tone as he crouched down and glanced over his shoulder at his companion Humphrey. “Think that’s our castle of this witch were looking for?” The bear cub let out a low growl of ascent and with that the large man nodded and began making his way out of the forest and towards the dark and spooky castle. The walk was uphill but not terribly tiring for the strong heavily built Tank. As the pair neared the gates there was a flapping sound as four creatures streaked from the castles open windows to land before the pair hooting and jumping around. “You’ve to be kidding me!” The large man let out. “Flying monkeys?”

  10. After walking for quite some time the pair eventually found themselves on a dirt path winding its way through a sparse forest. So far Alec had seen not a single aggressive beast on the floor and that seemed quite odd to the large man. He simply wasn’t use to this and the feel was to say the least a little unsettling to him. As the pair walked the open trail Alec couldn’t shake the feeling that he kept spotting movement deeper within the forest. A shimmer here a glow there had the man turning his head from left to right scanning the forest depths. The more the heavily muscled Tank look the less he saw. The glimmers and shifting were only at the periphery of his vision. Shaking his head to clear it of the what could only be after images he continued on his way mumbling and grumbling to himself as he went.

  12. Alec had been away a long while and he felt horrible about it. He had promised his mentor when Macradon had agreed to begin training him that he wouldn’t up and disappear on the other man and that’s exactly what he’d done to his friend and mentor and Alec felt horrible about it!! Thankfully Mac hadn’t changed any of the locks on his forge since Alec’s untimely disappearance. With a guilty conscience the large man let himself into the forge through the back door and began the process of warming the forge and setting up his work station. Setting out his Obsidian anvil and laying his hammer on the bench as he brought out a stack of mats and prepared for a long days work ahead of him. He had some ideas and was ready to start crafting again!! It had been far too long in his own opinion the man thought as he set to work on a piece of Heavy Armor.

  13. Alec shook his head as a wry grin played across his stern features. Honest mistake he thought to himself at the misunderstood words and missed meanings he had picked up third and fourth hand about the problems troubling the 22nd Floor. “Well Humphrey looks like we’re after a witch today and she’s planning a curse not cursing out Players.” Alec offered as his chuckle subsided. “Ready to go find us a witch and give her some good old fashioned justice?” Alec asked as he glanced down to his friend raising an inquisitive eyebrow to the bear cub. Humphrey responded with a loud growl that caused several of the nearby townsfolk to jump in fright and scurry away from the pair. Alec let out another chuckle at their response and waved for his friend to follow him. “Let’s go find this Forest of Memories and this castle and do what we do best my friend.”

  14. As Alec stepped onto the Teleport pad he said a single word in his deep baritone rumble that boomed out around him. “CORAL.” With a sudden everything went dark and was instantly replaced by another flash that revealed the diminutive village of Coral. The town was so small it made Snowfrost seem a bustling burb by comparison. As the pair stepped of the Teleport pad Alec instantly picked up the chattered murmur from the non player character townsfolk. It seemed that everyone was mumbling back and forth to each other talking about winged beasts stealing all their food stores and raiding their village on a nightly basis. Alec also caught wisps of conversation about a (Bitch??) living in a castle on the far side of the Forest of Memories. That seemed to be the general consensus of the population. Oh wait Bitch?? no witch oops honest mistake. There was a witch living in a castle that was planning on unleashing a curse on the townsfolk not cursing out the townsfolk.

  15. As the pair exited the warm confines of the cabin the biting wind of the Fourth Floor hit them both full in the face but thanks to Humphrey’s lush fur and Alec’s Survival skill neither felt the effects of the climate change in the slightest. The walk from Alec’s cabin the the remote corner of the Fourth Floor the small hamlet of Snowfrost went about as usual for the pair. Not many monsters ever bothered the pair as they walked. It must have been due to Alec’s higher level and game not wanting to waste monsters on the pair that wouldn’t give them a challenge, either that or the duo had just figured out the safer routes to travel to avoid the wander beasts that populated the snow covered terrain. As Alec and Humphrey arrived at the village they quickly made their way to the Teleport pad in the center of town not bothering to stop at any of the shops on the way. After all Alec had a mission and when he had his sights set on a quest little could deter the heavily muscled man.

  16. With all his items equipped and readied the large man closed his inventory and turned to his friend and faithful companion and in his deep rumble asked. “So pal you ready to head out into that wide world and see what’s in store for us today?” The American Black bear cub looked over at the larger man and dropped his head to the couch and laid perfectly still for a moment before flopping over and rolling head first in tumble to land on the stone floor of the house before letting out a deep sighing exhale and struggling to his feet where he plodded over to the larger man and let out a grumbling sigh once more. “Well don’t get too excited about our adventure.” The large man replied with a deep hearty chuckle towards the bear cub. “Come on pal you know I need you.” Alec said as he knelt down in front of the bear cub and tousled his thick fluffy fur with a broad genuine smile. “You’re my number one guy.” Alec said as he stood up and headed for the door.

  17. As Alec finished his mug of coffee he gently disengaged himself from the bear cub who was not so deftly trying to crawl up fully into/onto the large mans lap in a feeble attempt to keep him where he was. Chuckling the large man made his way back across to the kitchen where he placed his used mug in the sink and padded back to the living room. “Ok pal, it’s all settled. Let’s get ready and head up to the 21st Floor to check out this mean lady and the flying monsters robbing the town.” Alec announced as he opened his inventory and quickly equipped his clothing and adventuring gear. Alec watched as his Heavy Armor shoulder guards, razor edged shield and Forearm Axe all shimmered and wavered into existence affixed firmly in their rightful places. Nodding the large man quickly assigned his Luck Stone and a stack of Teleportation Crystals to two of the open slots and looked at the remaining empty ones. One of these days he thought to himself he’d need to see and Alchemist and get some more healing potions and maybe even some of those healing crystals he’d heard about. They could definitely come in handy he thought.

  18. “So what are you thinking for today?” Alec asked as the bear cub sidled up next to him climbing onto the oversized sofa and plopped down laying his large furry head up the mans massive thigh. Alec began to absently scratch the bear cub on the nap of the neck and behind his ears out of pure habit as he continued to sip at his mug of coffee. “I’ve been hearing about some troubles on 22nd Floor.” Alec announced to the bear cub. “Something about a mean old lady issuing death threats and cursing at Players and such and some kind of winged monsters raiding the local towns storehouses and such. Feel like heading upstairs and taking a look?” Alec asked as he glanced down at Humphrey who was spread out enjoying the attention he was being pampered with currently. “Couldn’t hurt could it?” Alec asked as he began mentally making the decision for the two of them to head there and check it out.

  19. “Oh come on. You know I didn’t mean it like that pal.” Alec responded in defense. They say dogs are mans best friend and since you’re my best friend and I’m a man that must make you my dog. I mean really no one and I mean NO ONE would say. Bear man’s best friend. But here we are pal two peas in a pod amigos, pals, buddies, digital life mates.” Alec finished with a chuckle as the bear cubs mood softened and it let out a pleased rumbling growl of ascent signifying he had forgiven the larger man and they were back to being simpatico. Alec turned away form the bear cub and poured himself a mug of steaming black coffee and walked over to the living room sofa where he had a seat stretching his legs out before him and contentedly sipping at the hot dark beverage happily.

  20. Having completed his morning stretches the heavily muscled man softly padded his way out of his bedroom and through the living room into his adjoined kitchen. The only other living soul to share his living space was currently laid out on the stone floor before the fireplace containing the dying embers of last nights fire and was Humphrey his American Black Bear cub Familiar and longest standing and truest friend here within the digital prison he found himself entrapped within. Humphrey let out his own long growling yawn as he rolled over stretching and twisting in odd and uncomfortable looking ways but the bear cub seemed to enjoy it as he twisted looking over his furry shoulder and flashing the funniest open mouthed grin the large solitary man had ever seen. The mere sight brought full bodied peels of laughter to Alec forcing him to stop his actions completely as his massive body shook with pure joy at the situation. “You’re the best dog a friend could ask for.” Alec replied in his deep baritone rumble receiving a growl from the cub.

  21. As Alec sat on the bed surveying his surroundings the large man flexed his tree trunk like legs and stood to his full height of nearly six and a half feet spreading his thickly muscled arms out wide stretching his massive chest and receiving his customary morning pop in his sternum as he began his morning ritual of stretching out the nights kinks and stiffness. He could remember being younger and bounding out of bed and being a full speed the moment his feet his the floor. Not so these days he mused. Age was slowly catching up to him and his morning preparations were taking longer than they once had he thought as he continued stretching his body in different ways. Thankfully his mornings had gotten much better since getting his house and sleeping in a bed built for a person of his size and stature. Unlike those damnable rented rooms and tiny beds he’d been forced to endure for all those years he’d spent stuck in the Town of Beginnings.

    • Must defeat The Witch (unless every participant has already defeated The Witch previously)

    Summary:
Deep past the Forest of Memories stands The Castle of the Witch. Rumors have spread around the town about a woman was seen walking around the floor's peaceful meadows and lake's edges, collecting ingredients for her sinister experiments. A few players that have had the misfortune of encountering the woman claim to have heard her spout threats of a terrible curse that she plans to unleash upon the otherwise peaceful floor of Aincrad. On more than one occasion, the main settlement of Coral has seen the shadow of winged beasts raiding their storerooms in the dead of night and stealing supplies and fleeing without a trace before any of the villagers could manage to catch them in the act. The two have said to be connected, and lately the villagers have started asking players if they might be able to find the witch in her castle and put a stop to whatever foul experiments she's running.

Trekking past the edge of the forest, you first see nothing out of the ordinary, but then you hear it. The sounds of wings flapping, and suddenly monkeys surround you. This quest is almost starting to sound like a childhood fairy tale you might have heard of. The monkeys stand in the way of the darkened brick of the castle that awaits you, the sinister glow of black fire flickering from torches affixed to the wall.

Those who have already felled the wicked witch once before will no longer find her brewing potions in the solitude of her castle, but after defeating the winged monkeys that still loyally defend it players will find that the vials they could have sworn were empty before have been mysteriously refilled.

Alec awoke in his bed inside his Cabin on the Fourth Floor of Aincrad with a stretch and a yawn as he looked around. Everything was as it always was he noticed as he sat up and placed his bare feet on the cool stone floor of his bedroom. The heavily muscled man let out a long loud yawn that cracked his jaw as he released it. Leaning forward Alec rubbed his large calloused hands over his bald head and proceeded to run them through his thick graying beard. As he glanced up looking around his bedroom with a satisfied eye. Gwen would have had a fit he thought to himself as he eyed the room. It was incredibly spartan and unfurnished. No one thing hung on the walls and the rooms only real adornments was a throw rug at the entrance way. Heck, there wasn’t even a door for the room just a rock archway marking one room to the next. But Alec liked it. He was a simple man with tastes and simple needs.

  23. Alec once more found himself walking the First Floor through the Town of Beginnings. The large heavily muscled man wore a deep scowl firmly affixed to face and his body posture was one of not likely where he was. He didn’t know why or how he kept finding himself here. He hated this Floor and all the bad memories associated with it, but here he was again when he once more found himself before the store front of the Merchant he had used to identify his latest batch of items picked up while adventuring. The large man opened the door and stepped inside softening the deep scowl into a mask of firmness. “Good evening.” Alec called out as he entered the shop. “I really appreciate those IDs’ you did for me the other day and I was hoping to purchase some supplies this time to help out in my travels.” Alec stated as he approached the counter. “I’m looking for some Rations and Immolation Potions.” Alec informed the Merchant as he looked over her goods. “Could I get 10 of the +2 Rations and the same for the +2 Immolations?” Alec asked as he placed several stacks of Col on the counter totaling 19,000 with a faint smile softening him normally stern features. As Alec turned to leave he had a thought and turned back around to the Merchant. "By the way could I also purchase one of those Dimensional Backpacks I keep hearing about. It sounds really useful." The large man said his grin growing a little as he added another 5,100 Col to the stacks already on the Merchants table.

  24. Alec glanced between the two young women he was conversing with nodding to their comments. “Well Cord I had thought about trying to join the next Raid. I’m almost Tier 3 so I’ll be eligible but I’ll probably be one of the lowest ranked Players there. But I’m ready to try and do my part and help out.” The Large man offered in his dep baritone rumble. “A Giant Turtle you say?” Alec asked as he shifted his attention to Mina. “Just taking a guess that it was a Mitigation Familiar?” He offered glansing down. “You can feel free to pet him if you’d like he extremely friendly and really hams it up for attention especially when that attention comes from young ladies. He’s a really ladies man you could say.” Alec stated with a chuckle as he leaned to side moving a small brush and finding a trio of eggs laying there. “Would you look at that.” Alec beamed as he held the eggs up for inspection by the group.
