In the spirit of the Season, Cardinal had seen fit to open up a Special Dungeon for the players still alive within Sword Art Online. Oscar was one of the first to head to the starting location. Standing on the banks of the Stygian River, Oscar watched and waited while the prow of the boat descended like a ramp before him. The cavernous maw of the Naglfar awaited him. If this was anything like the last Special Dungeon he did, Oscar knew he would need a party. Between that and the fact that the menu he was looking at had the party limit extended from four players to six told him that it was best to wait and not try his luck. Oscar brought his Taco Wagon and busied himself making an assortment of Mexican cuisine. Perhaps the scent of succulent meats and tangy spices would entice any nearby players to investigate - thus giving Oscar ample opportunity to shanghai them into a possibly ill-advised adventure. As one hand was busy preparing the food, another was busy typing out a message to the people he thought might be most willing to join him on this escapade.

Zandra was laying in her bed, inspecting the different shaped wooden planks that was the roof above her. Since every tree was unique, it also had its own markings where there have been branches and stuff. As she looked at one of them that almost looked like a cat, the message notification was herd. A few swipes later and she had the mail infront of her. It was short and simple. From Oscar with a mention about a dungeon that she wanna see. Questionmark. She raised an eyebrow while trying to understand the meaning. After a few minutes she shrugged and decided to do just that. Checking out this new dungeon. She grabbed a few potions before she left her estate. She scratched her chin as she thougth about what kind of dungeon this would be, as well as sending a mail to Itzal.

Most people who were 'normal' spent their mornings sleeping in, heading to work (or crafting in Aincrad terms), out questing, adventuring, hitting the marketplace, and other ordinary, almost natural tasks. Felix, was not one of those people. His sense of normal was waking up, taking a shower, and gearing up to spar with the slime monsters that he generated in the backyard of his house. Able to design them in almost every detail, the humanoid slimes were set to the highest difficulty, or highest AI level, with their hands shaped like weapons such as spears, swords, axes and the like. Each round he spawned another monster and would always retry the round at least three times before he either gave up for the day, or beat the round and moved on to the next one. Itzal had just finished his third round with the slimes, watching the last one shatter into crystals when he heard the ping of his menu which popped up before him. He really wished he could set it so that it only pinged him and didn't just materialize before him all the time. He didn't want people looking over his shoulder to see what he'd received. At least he was quick at closing the menu before anyone could get a good look. That was something.

Oscar huh? He had to think about who that could have been, but when he remembered the name, he immediately became worried. He was the player who nearly tossed him out the window during the boss meeting with his glare alone. No doubt because he added to the pile of the discussion that was focused on Zajcica. If he was the kind of person to hold a grudge, he most certainly would make things rather interesting for Itzal. Of course, he knew he was going to have to face people who hated him at some point, so better do it now rather than later when that bitterness had time to grow. He wanted to nip the bud as soon as humanly possible. "Aldion. Come over here. We're taking an expedition." To this comment, the black raven tilted it's head in confusion. Itzal hadn't used the word Expedition with him yet, so the clever familiar knew that he was about to learn. Itzal would call dungeons, labyrinths and events expeditions, while the floor boss fights he would call raids. At any rate Itzal held his arm up and Aldion flew onto it, crawling closer to the shoulder until he was able to drop the arm. With that, Itzal made his way to the teleporter pad.

Upon arriving at the tenth floor, surrounded by the glowing fungi and giant glowing crystals which tended to make up his song materials, Itzal made his way towards the Stygian river. He never liked the fact that they had Greek themed mythology on a floor that... Really wasn't Greek. In fact, there was an ENTIRE FLOOR dedicated to the Greek culture, and Kayaba chose to put the river Styx on this random floor. From what he heard from rumors and stories, the floor boss was a Hydra? And one of the quests had you fight Cerebus, which was stupid. Too random in his opinion. With his stealth skill active and keeping to the shadows, this plus his incredibly high level warded off any and all monsters that might have tried to fight him. It was always funny for Itzal to walk to a lower floor and find every monster with pink cursors over their heads. Always brought a chuckle to him.

Soon enough he'd reached the river, which always grew and shrank over time. Well not as much shrink, more like 'reset', but still. Waiting there he saw both Oscar and Zandra. His armor was set so that only those whitelisted would see his face, while others only saw black smoke. Thus he smiled to Zandra, very happy to see her, and since he was concerned about Oscar, he only looked at him with mild concern. He turned off stealth and emerged from the shadows. "Here. I brought several debuffs and healing songs as well."

Chase had heard rumors of some form of an event taking over, shortly after the Tanabata festival was over. Hell, it had barely felt like a single day had passed to him, but seeing as the dungeon was by the end of River Styx, where he'd battled for one of his statues in the Scent of the Wilds questline, he thought it easy to go give it a look. He wouldn't go inside and risk his own safety any, instead just wandering all the way to the entrance and seeing if he could pick anything up from the rest of the players that'd hopefully gather around.

It wasn't long, the travel from the settlement all the way to Styx' end, before he ended up in front of the dungeon to see three, so far, figures. Some guy with a hot dog stand, another player he'd never even seen before, and then... "... Zandra?", he mumbled lowly to himself as he approached closer, keeping both hands in his jacket's pockets. He didn't really expect to see her here, and having seen how she was still relatively low level, or at least having been tricked to think so, he was curious just what level the other two were around. All three seemed almost neatly organized into a party of their own. "Are you and some other tier twos ready to enter the dungeon?", he questioned with crossed arms, inspecting the other two carefully from a bit of a distance. "... I don't remember the other two somewhere around the raid when we were fighting the Spire. Then again, neither was Zandra..."

In light of the announcement of a dungeon, the woman's interest piqued. She was to travel with Raidou and her other guild mates. Questions went unanswered and more time passed on, and frankly the firecracker grew impatient. She wouldn't be so stupid as to rush in with reckless abandon, but she could scout at the very least, get a peek of what was to come. Anticipation bubbled within as she crushed her teleport crystal.

Upon arrival, the gloomy floor had undergone a complete transformation. It was a far cry from what she'd seen before, a mythological paradise, still with the gloominess she came to dread. The woman held her cub close for comfort as she slipped through the unknown. She trailed the River Styx, up to the location marked on her map.

A union of umami caused her mouth to water.

It was over for her.

She trailed off the path towards the smell. Before her stood a taco wagon and a small gathering in front of it. Man, was it her lucky day. She could go for a light snack. She approached, only to find a few familiar faces standing around. She recognized the raven haired woman as the one who aided in the fight with Skalaugh, that disaster of a mess. Nearby was a mop of bright, cotton candy blue, she had a feeling she knew who it was before glancing at his face. The one manning the taco truck was another comrade. She recognized him as the one who saved her too. 

She clasped her hands together and looked amongst the group. "Wow, what are the odds? I take it you're all here for the thing." She glanced over the tabletop, at a tray of steaming Mexican cuisine. "Oooh. How much for those?"

With a practiced press of the submit button, Lessa sent the quickly-composed message winging into cyberspace. Then she leaned back in her chair, yawned, and stretched. An equally sleepy Riker opened a single eye to check on her from his spot on the couch. "Why is it," the woman began, "that we're always lounging around when people invite us to do things? Does that mean we're lazy?" Perhaps to confirm her suspicions, the wolf let his eye close again. Lessa grinned. "Uh uh, nope, none of that." Striding over, she combed her fingers through his thick, mocha-colored coat. "If I'm doing this, so are you. We're a team, remember?"

So the familiar dutifully padded alongside his master, wearing an expression that Lessa would swear was annoyance. How did I manage to tame Aincrad's moodiest creature? she wondered, but she still reached down to give Riker a scratch between the ears. When she straightened again, and caught her first look at Oscar, she noticed the small group standing around him. A quick headcount revealed she was the sixth and final member of the party to arrive.

"Hey there," the blonde greeted Oscar, moving up alongside him. "Thanks for thinking of me, and for waiting. I love Manderley's solitude, but the walk back to Coral can be a pain." In typical Lessa fashion, her attention subsequently swung to the food her guildmate prepared. "That looks tasty."

Just as Zandra was going to take some potions she had bringed out of her inventory, she herd footsteps approach. When she turned around she spotted the rogue that she held so dear. She gave him a quick hug before she went back to her potions. She placed five of them on the wagon that Oscar had bringed with him. ‘’Here, take one each. The rest is if anyone else comes.’’

Not long time later she herd another pair of footsteps getting closer. What she saw made her freeze on the spot and eyes went wider. She quickly gulped and scratched her neck. ‘’Ehm…’’ she started nervously. ‘’Hi ChaseR. I am ready to enter the dungeon that is correct.’’ She glanced at Itzal to see his reaction before she turned and picked up one of the potions. ‘’Here, take one of these. Will increase your damage.’’ She sighed of relief inside. Once again she had dodged his question.

Next a blue haired woman arrived. She recognized her, had even sent her a mail delivery. But when she did, there was other stuff that took her mind away from rembering her name. ‘’Hello, Im sorry but I have lost your name. Was quite much happening last time. My name is Zandra. If you here for the dungeon, please take one of these.’’ She said and reached out another damage potion.

As the six person to arrive to the beach, was a blonde beauty. When she got to the group, she greeted Oscar friendly and then, she went to the food. Zandra glanced at the other three players present. She putted on a smile and turned to the blonde. ‘’Hi there. I remember seeing you at Skalaugh, but Im not sure we greeted properly. My name is Zandra and it is a pleasure to meet you.’’

The menu on Itzal's account beeped, notifying him of someone in the vicinity thanks to his search skill, which he typically had active whenever he wasn't doing anything that required his concentration. Only he heard the sound of course, as it was his skill and menu, so it was an extremely useful feature. He looked in the direction of the newcomer ( @ChaseR ) and spotted a blue haired player with equally blue eyes. The first thing he said was a mutter, so he couldn't hear what he said, but what he said next was clearly directed to Zandra. His comment also caused Itzal to raise his right eyebrow, though only Zandra would be capable of seeing it. All the newcomer would see was a blanket of black mist that covered his face under the cowl. "It's unwise to judge another's skills without any prior knowledge or evidence of what they are like, or what they are capable of. Always assume they are stronger until you know otherwise." Bias words of course, but everyone was bias in their own right. Itzal was bias in the sense that he faced player killers on a daily basis, so he practiced that kind of thinking, focusing on recon until he knew who his target was and how strong/intelligent they were. After addressing him, Itzal took the potion @Zandra offered and smiled to her before consuming it, increasing his damage by three. Aldion only glanced at the newcomer, but then looked in another direction and cawed.

Itzal turned to see yet another player walk into the area. While Aldion's detection was far less significant than Itzal's search skill, it was an incredibly useful resource. Aldion was always on red alert, even if Itzal was having a conversation, so he would always alert him to someone approaching or charging. Even in a fight, knowing an attack was incoming even a second or two before it struck could help him avoid a disaster. This newcomer ( @Haine )... Also had blue hair and eyes. What the? He knew they weren't twins, he just couldn't believe the coincidence. To her question he gave a nod. "These are the coordinates the announcement gave." After her he watched yet another woman approach, again as Aldion gave yet another cry. The blonde woman who walked towards them however caused Itzal's eyes to narrow in deep thought... Did he know this woman from somewhere? Maybe... But maybe not. She didn't address him though, which made sense, and thus he did not address her either.

Zandra had joined him in short order, followed shortly by Itzal - the shadowy figure from the Raid Meeting. Oscar regarded them both with a polite nod and a smile, far too busy fussing with his enchiladas to give them any more than that. Then, an unfamiliar face arrived. Over the sound of sizzling meats and the copious amounts of smoke and steam assaulting his sense, Oscar didn't really hear much of his conversation with Zandra. He did, however, hear a snippet:

"Are you and some other tier twos ready to enter the dungeon?"

A snort of laughter rose from his chest, but he wouldn't give up the ghost to the kid. Especially not with his quesadillas so close to burning. Oscar chose the most fragrant and aromatic spices to carry his food-based beacon far over the surrounding area. For when you're hunting Tier Threes, you need to cast a wide net. In short order, one was ensnared by the enchanting, artery-clogging deliciousness that was assembled upon his grill. Haine made an appearance, making a beeline straight for his cart and looking at the fruits of his labors with a ravenous glint in her eye.

"Oooh. How much for-"

The bluenette didn't get to finish her sentence. A plate piled high with cuisine from across the border was placed in front of her. Three tacos, an enchilada, and two quesadillas were assembled around two cups - one containing a spicy salsa and the other containing fresh guacamole. Oscar spun his cooking knife around in his hand as he gave the young woman a bright smile. "One dungeon run," he replied. He stabbed his knife into the cutting board as Lessa and Riker made their appearance. Leeroy and Jenkins dashed over to their friend, spinning around playfully before finally lying on their back to show the hound their belly and shimmying back and forth.

"Glad you could make it, Lessa," Oscar said as he stepped out from behind his cart. With a snap of his fingers, two platters manifested in his hands. Each one had three hot dogs resting upon them that would confer buffs to Lessa and the new guy - Chase. "Please use these to prepare for the dungeon. Free of charge. We'll head in as soon as you guys are ready. Assuming everyone here is cool with raiding together." They were placed in front of stools that were attached-yet-not-attached to the small eating area of his cart. Then, he assembled another platter for the hooded man and gestured for him to sit and eat. "You too sneaky boy," Oscar said with a grin.

The crystal he got surprised him a bit, seeing as he didn't want to enter the dungeon just like that, he had just come to take a look around. Then again, the only thing keeping this from being a surprise kidnapping was that he still had enough free time to spare and get some loot out of this, for all it was worth. He gave a confused look at Itzal and Oscar, hearing one comment negatively on his rightful assumption and the other just snicker. And then it all pieced together when Zandra mentioned something about Skalaugh.

He looked back to her, furrowing his brows as he accepted the foods. He quickly used all of the consumables and scarfed down the foods, giving her a somewhat harsh look paired up with a frown. "... You lied about being my level back then. That's why you got so angry when I said you had room for improvement. Isn't it?", he asked her bluntly. Sure, he didn't pick up on it immediately, but he wasn't dumb either. Looking around, everybody other than Zandra was unfamiliar. Maybe she was unfamiliar to him too, after all.

Except for... He raised his hand to wave at Haine, giving her a small grin. It felt good to know the spear lady was here too. "So we're all going into the dungeon?", he asked with a deep sigh and stretched, preparing for battle. He'd need to change his sword too, in between bouts. That came when it did though. For now, they should get going by the looks of it. Everybody else was prepared, save Lessa. She shouldn't take long from now though, that much he knew at least.

Taking a silent breath of relief before smiling, he nodded in acknowledgement to Oscar and graciously took the food buff from the man. He began to consume his food, taking a bit more time than the other player, whose name to him was still a mystery. As well as the other blue haired girl. Noticing the harsh look the man was giving his girlfriend however, his smile turned to a frown. "There's no need for ill feelings. Lots of players hide their true strength when attempting to blend in, befriend, or train others. Of course, there are also those who use it as a front to lower another's guard before moving in for the kill, but if you're a good judge of character that becomes less effective." As he finished eating the meal Oscar had provided them, watching the remaining particles that formed the dish shatter upon being finished, he turned to the others. Lessa... Where did he know that name? He didn't just see it or hear about it somewhere, he somehow knew that name. But how? With his consumables taken care of, Itzal stood up. "For those who haven't exactly met me yet, my name is Are. I'd like to know your names before the dungeon begins." He would wait patiently as he hears their names and burns them in his memory. Once they shared, Itzal will give another nod. "Alright. My initial movements in the coming fights will be to activate the surprise attack mod as well as charge. On my second round I'll have decided which debuff I should use and activate it before going on the offensive again." He looked at Oscar. "Since you were the one who organized this party, I'll take your lead." And with that Itzal activated his hide skill as he walked into the shadows.

Haine squinted at the nametag of a particular blonde haired woman. Lessa, the name sounded awful familiar from her talks with Kiluia. She would have to chat with with her after she secured her sustenance. For now, she passed the woman a soft smile once their eyes met.

The raven haired woman approached her, with arms full of potions. "It's nice to see you, Zandra. I'm Haine." She caught the potion and exchanged a quick thank you. "Uhh, I'm not gonna-" She swallowed her words and chuckled nervously. She opted to attach the potion to her utility belt. "Ah, since I ran into you here, lemme return this! I couldn't keep such a rare item." Haine screened her inventory for a Unicorn Horn and sent it over to her. "Thanks a bunch, by the way." She exchanged the wave to those she knew.

A beeline for the cart sealed her plans for the day. Now, she didn't come here for a dungeon run, but she wasn't one to refuse good food. "Ahh, for real?" She folded her arms and thought aloud. "Well... I'm all for a spontaneous plan." Without a moment of hesitance she reached over for the bowls. "You've got me sold, bud. I'm in." She held the plates up to her and inhaled the aroma. Talk no more, her only agenda was to chow down. She scarfed at her plate with the speed of a seasoned foodie. Looking at her menu, she noticed her stats crawl up. Buffs for the raid, and a whole lotta them too. This dungeon, as she feared, was going to be one hell of a ride. She picked the bottle off her belt and washed the food down.

She heeded a man's tactic for battle. After a momentary pause, she introduced herself to the one named Are. A moment later, She turned to the one she assumed party leader, Oscar. "DPS at your service. Toss me a plan and I'll follow the lead."

Lessa grinned as Riker loped away from her. The typically stalwart Riker had a soft spot for Leeroy and Jenkins, and seemed to forget all training when they were around. In truth, that was perfectly fine with Lessa. For years, neither she nor Riker had done much socializing. She enjoyed watching the familiar forge other bonds. 

While the wolf booped noses with both Leeroy and Jenkins, the blonde turned to to Oscar. As he offered her a platter of food, her blue eyes lit with excitement. "Yessss," she murmured, drawing the food closer and taking the first bite. On a groan of pleasure, she regarded Oscar through heavily lidded eyes. "You should come be my personal chef," she announced, once she had swallowed her food. "I'll give you anything you want. Just let me eat this every single day."

As if suddenly remembering where she was, Lessa gave a quick wave with her half-eaten hot dog. "Nice to meet you all. I'm Lessa, and that's Riker."

After finishing her first hot dog, and moving on to her second, the Guardian turned to Haine. "I've heard a lot about you from Kiluia. It's a pleasure to finally put a face to the name."

It’s fine.’’ She said before turning to ChaseR. ‘’Im sorry about that. I was thinking how I would contact you and explain. Didn’t thougth we would meet so soon. But yeah, I am not a tier 2. But I wanted, at least once, to be with someone and being treated like an equal. Also, I didn’t lied. I just avoided to answer your question. Let us meet after this and have a chat, if you can forgive me for that. Sorry.’’ She knew they needed to push forward so the talk would have to wait for later. But he deserved a short explanation.

‘’Thank you Haine. I will…’’ but there she got interrupted by a huge ship approaching them. Coming closer and closer, Zandra equips her axe and prepare for an attack. But no such thing is coming, only a ramp, inviting them to come aboard. Zita lifts from her shoulder and darts forward, making a quick scouting of the deck. She lets out a cry, like saying coast is clear. ‘’Hehe, I guess the dungeon have arrived.’’ She said to Oscar that had called her there. ‘’Im quite excited to see what it is. Do mind if going ladies first?’’ she said with a wink and walked up the ramp. The real reason she wanted to go first was actually if there would be some kind of charge attack, so she could take the hit, keeping the others safe.

As she carefully enters the ship, she see it isn’t made of wood or metal. It consists of a strange, chitinous material she haven’t seen before. But not only that, ghostlike creatures started to harass her. At first she tried to defend herself, but they didn’t seemed to do any mechanical damage or status effect on her. ‘’The ghosts wont hurt you. They just annoying.’’ She shouted back to the rest of the party. When they reached the top of the deck, after a thounderous clap cracks through the air, a massive giant appears. Zandra threw a quick glance to the shore, but there was none. Without realizing it, they have left it behind. So there they was, nowhere to escape.

“Welcome, mortals! To the Naglfar!’’

She got greeted to, was it the name of the ship? Or the sea? Zandra didn’t knew, but it was obvious that the giant was their enemy. ‘’I guess the party have started.’’ She said with a smile to the others. And with that, she activated her charge skill, being infront of the giant after just a moment. ‘’Bo!’’ she said and activated Explode catapult upon their enemy. Her attack dealt quite a lot of damage to his healthbar, but no stun effect appeared. She took a few step back to give plenty of room for next player to attack as she spread her info she just got. ‘’He is immune to stun. So don’t use your stun sword arts!’’ she shouted and prepared for the giants counter attack.

As soon as the fight started, Chase just took Zandra's comments almost half-heartedly and looked at his menu to see a familiar notification and blip. Opening up his messages, his eyes widened as he looked around with a guilty expression on his face. He was meant to take some hits for the group, but here he was abandoning ship right off the bat. With a groan and a sigh, he announced to the rest at the worst moment possible. "I'm sorry everyone, I... I've got to go. I'll make sure somebody comes in my place.", he tried to reassure them, starting to compose a message.

Once it was ready, he punched send on his menu and dipped his head in apologetically before starting to run right out of there, with his hand on the sword's hilt and short, sharp breaths. Before long, he had left the battlefield. What did the message say though? Well, it was to Firm Anima, the guild he worked as a consult for.

ChaseR: Whoever reads this and is a tank, please, substitute for me in this dungeon that's shown up. I'll return the favor at some point.

Sitting in the hall migrating some obtained information across the large redwood table, a mirrored lens held to his eyes as he worked to sort. A notification seemingly with no origin, this one was from a source he'd hardly expect to show: ChaseR. He sets down the sheet of white parchment in his clutches and winds the screen open with a shift from left to right. No coordinates, no location is given Raidou had but one ace in the hole.

A trigger of tracking from a simply given potion to the male but one time was all he needed. It triggers and pulls up his location, floor 10 as he sees the boy leaving the coastline in Tartarus. Applying his own custom marker and disabling the skill allows the green to fade from his eyes. "Dungeon, unless it's a given one that no one else could join. I cannot recall such a thing." Raidou remarks, moving for the vault. "Best prepare for anything, who knows what trouble he may have been in."

Vial after vial removed, a black mixture removed and slid up his sleeve to a greedy mouth that lay dormant within. An empty bottle returns to his left as he consumes a red with his right. A flutter in red as the air of coral assails his nostrils. He was coming.

Itzal, lingering in the shadows of the ship, was watching their surroundings and noticed the environment fading away surprisingly fast. Additionally he noted that the ghosts clung to you even if you were in stealth. Hopefully they didn't remain when the actual combat started. That would really suck. He was a bit upset that the players didn't actually tell him what their names were, but he supposed he could just check the party information. Before he could however, one of the players (the one who had inaccurately judged everyone of being tier two), abruptly stated that he had to leave and that someone would be taking his place. Itzal wondered how he'd even do that as the ship had already departed, but he somehow did it. Well, in the end it didn't matter too much he guessed. They had someone replacing the guy at any rate, so that was that. Coming down the stairs of the helm was a blue giant with what looked like tusks and a large column he held for a weapon. Zandra of course didn't hesitate to charge in and deal massive amounts of damage. Itzal had run calculations last minute and, realizing his maximum damage would still be so awful it wasn't worth it, chose to sacrifice his stealth to activate a debuff instead. Once that was out he took a stance and prepared for the actual fighting.

The gathering of people was starting to begin. She stood there after being greeted by Zandra and the meeting point was established by point. When the confirmation of the quest started with the words, she remembered the fight last time when she had been with her beloved, Bahr, Freyd, Night, and Raidou. The fight itself wasn’t too bad due to people being strong. It was also easier since she knew a good chunk of the people here. She looked over at Zandra and offered a warm smile despite the creepy impending path they had to traverse to get to the first point.

“I really don’t like ghosts so pardon my screams if I see any.” She was indeed a scaredy cat. A light shiver went up her spine as the scenery changed from good to horrifying in a matter of moments. A sigh escaped her lips as she made toward a light source until the rest of the group had arrived to the event. Please let this go by without a hitch. She prayed in her thoughts. She didn’t have him close to at least hold onto when bad things happened.

With precision and a bit of caution, she swept into the fray.

“Oof,” Lessa muttered, gazing up at the massive creature before them. Something about the name Hrym gave her visions of a behemoth, and he more than lived up to his title. The blonde blew out a hard breath, adjusting her hold on her massive, crimson sword. She had a dungeon party with her, people whom she cared about, and trusted to keep her safe. Even with Chase’s departure, Lessa genuinely believed she would be alright. Of course, that did not keep the nerves from sparking across her entire body.

Then Hestia mentioned ghosts. As if a switch had been thrown, Lessa found herself relaxing. It was strange, that such a scary concept might calm her, but the paranormal was one thing that she actually had some understanding of. At least, as much as a person could understand, given the nature of ghosts. “I haven’t encountered too many ghosts in Aincrad,” she replied, “but the one I have was actually really friendly. Here’s to hoping that trend continues.”

Then she lunged, plunging her massive sword into Hrym’s side.

Oscar had brought up the rear, having to put away his cart and tools before delving into the bowels of the ship. To his surprise, the party had managed to deal heavy damage to the towering behemoth before Oscar had even stepped onto the main deck. ChaseR's sudden departure had left them down a source of damage but the boss was approaching the yellow at a rapid clip despite that. It wouldn't last an entire second round at this rate. He let out a sigh. I wasted all of that food on that dude. Fantastic. Rather annoying that a party member wasted all that food before dipping out suddenly. Promises of assistance were all well and good but Oscar had little faith that the dude would come through. He would make a point to remember this if their paths ever crossed again. He'd either get compensated for the food or he'd take a plug out of ChaseR's ass. But there would be time for grudges after the fight. For now, there was a giant that needed to be cut down to size.

His agitation seemed to resonate with Tessleth's Fury. He hefted the weapon, resting it on his shoulders as he strode onto the field. He could feel wrath radiating from the weapon, just itching for target to unleash itself upon. Oscar cracked a smile and spun the weapon down to a ready position. The blade sparked against the deck of the Naglfar, black fire roaring to life. He broke into a sprint, dashing past the rest of his party - leaving a trail of flames in his wake. He right foot came down. Oscar shifted his weight onto it. He stepped forward with his left, swinging his axe along an upward arc as he did. His strike caught Hrym on the chin, an explosion of black flame punctuating the blow. Hrym staggered backwards, throwing a blind fist out in response. Oscar danced around the attack, pivoting on his left foot and watching the blow sail past him. Hrym's health bar tanked firmly into the yellow. Not a bad first round.

Tortured Spirits - Players may use a post action to commune with the spirits trapped aboard the Naglfar. By using the natural LD value, players convince the corresponding number of spirits to attack summoned Jötunn. 20 Spirits attacking the Jötunn will slay it.
