80 STK damage received.

Bad would only shift to become dire. Within mere moments, the entire situation had changed. The White Lily's eyes would widen slightly as several glowing heads spiral from Wushen's body. "What the hell?" the girl would mutter as she slowly backed away. A purple head would approach them, glaring menacing at her party. Hidden's eyes would begin to search the other parties' reactions to heads but she couldn't find them. The groups had become trapped in a cage of ice.

It didn't seem like there was much escape for the parties. Weighing some options, the girl decided there was only one way to push in this scenario: forward. Keeping at range, Hidden would begin concentrating the energy for her attack within her weapon. The others were already beginning to batter the creature. Darting at high speed, the girl would duck through each party member's shadow for a short moment before suddenly she was in the air, behind the head.

Those same spectral hands that had protected Alkor would reach out and grab the head, restraining it. With it still, the white-haired woman's dagger would fall upon its neck, severing the creature's head from the body. Falling to the ground, the woman would land with the fallen head. Despite having lost its head, the neck was still moving and flailing. 'Is it a hydra? Did I simply make matters worse?'

Zandra crossed her arms and got a grumpy expression on her face. She had just activated a skill that would take damage that is dealt to her party members and move it over to her. But she havent got hit by anything. She let out a deep annoying sigh. ‘’Why did I even take this role? Should have been better going for just pure dps.’’ she mumbled quietly to herself. That was when their enemy changed, they wasnt fighting one dragon head anymore, now there was six. In some way he have summoned five more. ‘’So, you to scared of us so you hiding. Dont you dare fight us face to face huh?’’ Zandra rushed forward after her teammates had delivered powerful strikes on the snek head, beating it down to zero health. So now Zandra could finally be of use. She activated her first aid skill as her clawed gloved scratched against the skin of the beast.

Wushen.png.e062d5bf203067e6506d60a456bff7f2.png

The walls had risen, the congregation of elements aligned and pulled into essence and being. All had arrived at the call and command of the great Commander of the Elements cry. The tiny specks, annoyance incarnate, should have fallen as they were besieged by the power of the natural forces that would envelop them, overpower them, bring them to a crushing end just as all things would; fallen before the might of the elemental order. There was nothing more for them but to submit.

The eyes stared down from behind the wall of protective ice, frustration and a tinge of displeasure shifting across them as it watched them not only resist, but succeed in doing the impossible. The impossible…felling a head, leaving it desecrated and tortured. Obliterated from its natural beauty, as if it were nothing more than a simple obstacle to be overcome.

"I don't want chaos."

    "This is a trust issue.”

The words seemed to echo through the hall, floating in as if from somewhere beyond. They lingered in Wushen’s ears, wrapping into its mind, causing it to pause. It glanced around, as if looking for something, shaking its head before turning back to the pests that scattered before it. Pests that stabbed at the heads that it had summoned, that it bore upon itself. Pests that worked together, that moved as one individual among a group of many.

It didn’t understand. It was all power, all controlling, the ruler of the elements. It would not be felled by these things. These things that should bow before it, should be thanking it for its mercy in ending them quickly. It did not understand how it could be…losing…?

It would burn them with venom, with toxins, with the very liquids of the elemental plane that would leave any beast screaming for a release from the torment. It would end them through excruciating pain and suffering, leaving nothing but their ephemeral screams to echo in the instance that they disappeared, forever.

At least, Wushen had expected to do as much. It had summoned the power of toxin in its Caustic form, unleashing a power that should have melted the flesh from whatever bones these creatures may possess. It should have found glory in the screaming of their final torment. Yet, instead, it found itself glaring at the loss of a beloved piece of itself, the pests having turned it into nothing more than a memory within the blink of its eyes…

Wushen, Elemental Warlord | HP: ????/???? | DMG: 200 | MITI: 75 | ACC: 4(+3) | EVA: 0
[Cannot be Targeted with Attacks]

Petty:

  • Using [Delay] sword arts (Does not stack) will reduce the next BD 9-10 effect that a head will produce to BD:10 only, making a BD: 9 a normal attack.
  • In addition, a player using a Mass Healing Crystal without any hatred generation skills/enhancements gain +2 Hatred.
  • BD 9-10, Applies Keen 3 and Focus to Wushen, Brimstone, Caustic, Novalite, Serration, Overgrowth

Beyond Care:

  • Each round at the start of the bosses turn before its post action, the highest hate from each group decays by -1. In the event of a draw then this ability targets the player that has any hatred generation skills/enhancements. If none is present it will be the last player to generate hatred outside of attacking.
  • In addition, every successful attack made against the player with the highest hate by Wushen directly reduces their hatred by -2

Larger than Life:

  • DoT’s last half as long.
  • Wushen is immune to disables. However, when a Disable is applied, DoT effects applied in the same round will last their full duration. This also breaks Wushen's concealment on his HP Bars
  • Enhancement effects that match the element of a head are ineffective. Please see the head in question to see what enhancements it matches.

Multi-Faceted:
During Phase 2, A number of different heads will cycle to each available party. One of the following heads will become targetable by a team: Brimstone, Caustic, Novalite, Serration, Overgrowth. If this head is felled, but any other remain standing it will become Flailing. These heads utilize Wushen's hatred values. The total HP of Wushen are shared with Heads, destroying one of the heads deals its full maximum to Wushen when felled.

Cauterize:
After a head enters the Flailing state where it cannot be targeted except by healing effects, it remains at 0 HP. Using the First Aid skill or a healing item directly targeting (No Mass Heals/Field Medic target a specific creature) it will close off the wound and stop it from attacking temporarily. Using these effects on a Flailing head does not restore the bosses HP.

Cordoned Room:
During Phase 2, The entire chamber will be closed off in sections using ice isolating the parties from interacting with heads not within their reach. This barrier can be conversed through but cannot be passed. Once a party's head (
Brimstone, Caustic, Novalite, Serration, Overgrowth) has been felled, players can as a post action begin to work to lower the barrier. Burning holes through the ice walls in some way by obtaining a combined LD total of 15 will melt them. Only LD bonuses from the following apply:

  • Nimble Addon
  • Searching Skill
  • Scouting Familiar Skill

This action must be done to continue to attack the body by each party once the head has been destroyed.

Total Destruction:

  • When all spawned heads are felled, the boss will attempt to regenerate them as a post action.
  • In addition, Cordoned Room will be re-activated

Guidelines
- Players will have until 11:59 PM EDT on AUGUST 31st to make their posts.
- Please post only in your respective party's thread.
- All questions should be directed to the #askastaff channel is Discord, or Lessa.

caustic went down before she even had a moment to register what it could do, or had a second attempt at cutting it through. once the head was purified, the shards that scattered and spiraled upwards signaled the end to their presence in the ice block – but where to? wushen still towered over them in the distance, and there were walls in their way. were they breakable? ice was known to be such a material, after all.

there was no wind present, but the direction that the shards were pointed towards ticked night off about something. so she sent her executioner through with a swing. she'd had a burn in mind, though cardinal seemed to have softened the blow for her – her blade was heated enough, striking at a hidden weak point that caused the entire barricade to come down shattering, coalescing into nothing but illuminant ash and fog. all night did was rush outside of their confines, guiding the party to realize their true target – wushen.

Just as quickly as the acidic head had appeared, it disintegrated, the flurry of attacks from his party decimating the oozing form until it was naught but a puddle on the floor. "Thanks," Koga said to the others, hazarding a glance back at them as NIGHT brought down the ice walls that separated them from their comrades.

Hollow words bounced off the walls of the boss room. Or maybe from them. In decipherable as they seemed, overlapping one another, Koga could make out clips and phrases. None of it made sense to him, of course, but it didn't terribly matter. Koga knew his job, and that was to hit the boss until it died.

And so that's what he did. No fancy moves, no fire or brimstone, or battle cries (though for some reason Theoden's speech from Lord of the Rings was on repeat in Koga's head for some reason), just a flash of steel and a red gash.

The beast that the frontline parties was fighting had his five extra out, but the frontliners have used their power, their power that they have got from all the countless hours they have been outside in the forest, on the fields, at the lakes, in the caves and so on, killing mob after mob, doing quest after quest. And now their power was shown, Zandra actually wish that she had been going the path of dps. Zandra could have been so high up on that, could have been dealing alot of damage. But no, she needed to not focus on that now. She was here to at least help the others a little bit. So she walked up to Crozeph, that she could see had the lowest energy in her party. She knew that there was other skills that would effect the whole party, but none would really be useful at the moment. If she just could activate the energy skill for everyone, like her healing skill and crystal. But yeah, not something she could do about that now. With another glance at the healthbars she saw it had dropped a bit. ‘’Well, always good to be on the safe side.’’ she said to herself as she took out a crystal and crushed it in her hand, seeing everyone feeling good now.

Things would not begin to calm down after she felled the head. In fact, it almost seemed as if they were put on a clock. Kill the big thing before heads start to grow back. Luckily, NIGHT seemed to be on the same page as she immediately began to break through the wall. As the ice shattered, a spray of fog and mist would sweep through the area, and when the dust cleared... all that was left was their target.

The party charged through the broken barricade, beginning to hack and slash at the exposed dragon. Did she think they would be able to slay it? Not yet. This battle seemed to be more of a battle of attrition. Which would fall first? The enemy before them? Or would it be their energy reserves and inevitably them? For now, it wouldn't matter as her dagger slashed at what was simply a single scale.

Wushen.png.e062d5bf203067e6506d60a456bff7f2.png

Pestilence. They were a pestilence. There was nothing more that they could be, nothing more that they deserved to be. They were here to torture it, until its final moments. Destroying what it was, what it controlled, what it saw over. Only a pestilence would do such a thing to the forces of nature. Only a pestilence could break down its forms in such a manner.

It would rid the world of this pestilence. It would tend to the natural order, return things to the ever flowing chaos that was and should be. The chaos that bred life, bred continuation, bred ending. It was that ending. It would not be ended by such…such disgusting things.

Wushen leaned back and roared, roared as the pestilence crept ever closer. Roared in anger, in fury, in torment. Roared in horror, in refusal, in despair. Roared, to bring fear upon that which appeared fearless. It would not fall here, not this time, not ever.

The wall was shattered and they came rushing forwards, their movement specks against the otherwise pristine floor of Wushen’s home. Their buzzing continued as they called to one another, ignorant of the danger they faced. Ignorant of Wushen’s power. Ignorant of the way in which they caused a feeling within it that it had not felt before.

Wushen hissed, a sound of escaping air that seemed to heat the area before it. It would not tolerate these things. It would not accept them. It would lash out, drive them back, send them into the end that awaited them. It would not surrender to…to these…

The dark scales on the side of Wushen's long neck start to shimmer with a warm, incandescent orange glow, gradually intensifying with each passing second. A palpable heat emanates from the dragon, enveloping the onlookers and transforming the atmosphere into an unbearable inferno, akin to standing at the very mouth of an active volcano. Suddenly, the dragon's hide erupts into a mesmerizing display of flames, coalescing into a frightful yet stunning ball of fire, trailing off above the group. As the blaze comes to rest, the flames gracefully take on the form of a serpentine figure, bearing two piercing eyes fixated on the unfortunate intruders who dared venture into Wushen's lair.

image.pngAs the flames begin to wane, an awe-inspiring image emerges, resembling Wushen's primary head, but fashioned entirely from a rolling, boiling sea of crimson energy. Smoke billows from the corners of its mouth, while a majestic mane of raging flame cascades down the length of its back. The entity now reveals itself as Brimstone, a fearsome manifestation of Wushen's power. Above its hovers another bar, glowing green and indicating the health level of Brimstone

night was about to head out once some of her team did, long strides made brisk towards wushen as she kept her eye out for other potential obstructions. there weren't any. so she turned that into a run instead, darting forward, and she was almost about to hit the dragon, too.

but then the earth shook, the ice walls came back up, and suddenly night was thrown into the air again. a tap from the all consuming was almost like a shove to corner her back into her cage – night tumbled downwards against the floor, where an effigy of his almighty awaited her – alongside the rest of her squad.

she'd at least caught the sight of that burning, not-so-solid creature again, and on her way down, earnestly tried to strike it to no avail. so now on the floor, night just stayed there, fuming. if there was any solace to being face-down, it was that her rage was muffled, if only for a brief moment.

Busy, busy, busy

He couldn't even take his eyes for moment and try to eat something. Not that he was hungry but because he simply wanted to. Gone are the days where he is so uptight and edgy, reminiscent of Plini, and he hates the ever growing pressure the boss gives.

definitely living up to its purpose

He eased himself into a shin-no-kamae and set his eyes on the new elemental "The fuck you doing here Morphling, this is not the mid lane ."

Less then a few seconds, he lunged. Ereshkigal once again hummed its eagerness to cut and yet the circumstances of its full potential didn't even aligned.

It must've been the property of the elemental, because Cro definitely felt his blade sink deeper than he planned. He grinned, his attack landed and buried deep enough. "Told you this isn't mid lane"

Tendril-like thorns sprouted out of Ereshkigal's katana as Crozeph pulled it out, hopefully that can keep this thing in check.

And yes, his energy is fucked.

This boss battle was going really well. At least for Zandras party. She wasnt sure how the other party was holding up on the health side. But sadly when it comes to energy, the combatants she was fighting side by side with wasnt keeping up as good as she was doing herself. It seemed when it comes to energy, was something they needed to find a solution to. The damage dealers in the same team as her had passed the halffull limit of the energybar. Zandra gritted her teeths, sinc ewhile the others was dropping low on the energy side, herself was close to full. But there wasnt really anything she could do. Yes, she could give one of them enough energy for like a half attack or something, then she would almost be better off to just use the axe for what it is meant to be used for.

It was at this moment that another head started growing out of Wushen’s scales. As Zandra saw the new reptile, her ruby eyes grew in size as she couldnt believe what she saw. A fire dragon!! Her fingers was itching, she so much wanted to take a firm grip of her axe, rush up to the dragon, and show it who is the true dragonmaster in this room. But she could hold herself back. Instead her hand did a few quick swipes in the air infront of her, never releasing the dragon from her eyes thou. Then she held a crocodile-head-shaped-horn in her right hand, with her axe almost like a banner on her left hand. She placed herself in a well balanced pose as she take a deep breath, moves the horn to her lips and blows it. A loud sound echoes over the area, much louder then what should be possible if looking to the warhorns size. As the screech have faded away, it had been striking the fiery dragon head and wushen with a sound that would paralyze with fear even then bravest of mobs. Zandra kept her eyes on them thou, to see how the dragon’s would react.

It would seem that they at least got their enemy's attention. On the downside, life was much more preferable when he had chosen to ignore them. As the ice wall repaired itself, Hidden found herself pushed back as she did her best not to get caught up in its wake. With the ice wall, a new elemental head grew to replace the old. This one was red and simply being near it seemed to increase the temperature of the boss room.

"Can't get enough of this shit, now can we?"

A dagger would flash as a gash would appear in the head's side. Like a blur, the white-haired woman would dash out from under... foot? Head? Oh well. Out of harms way the best she could be, violet eyes began to scan the woman's surroundings. It seemed the others... were not doing great. Poor NIGHT had gotten caught up in the fissure created by the ice wall. Everyone other than Zandra seemed to be deliberating on the next best course of action at the moment.

More walls went up, and yet another head of Wushen loomed over the party with the same disdainful eyes as the last. "Seriously? Does this guy not have any more tricks?" Koga grumbled before straightening his back and rolling his shoulders, the distinctive pop of a definitely not okay joint echoing in the arena.

Well, what more was there for Koga to do than to charge in and attack once more. A beast made of fire. Koga would not fear his namesake. Though his blow was glancing at best this time around, the steel of his sword glinted in the firelight, and as his boots touched the ground again, Koga could already envision where his next blow would strike.

Around him the fight went on, but for just a brief moment, there was clarity. That perfect moment in time that some fighters could dream of. And today, it would his.

The most important thing now was that the boss kept its attention focused where it would do the least harm. With Alkor steadily healing off and taking considerably less damage on hit than his compatriots would, there were no doubts. Giant evil dragon beast had gone untargetable, and many heads were swooping in and harassing each group, all of them with different aspects. What those entailed mattered considerably less than staying alive.

Hell, they'd figure out what they did as they attacked.

Alkor glanced at the Cooldown timer as it refreshed on his taunt, and his body began to glow a dark, hazy red as he drew the emnity into himself, willing the boss to once more focus its energies in his direction.

This time, it was accompanied not by a scream, but by a chilling miasma born from the willpower he manifested from his own contempt and vengeance for the fallen.

Relentlessly, these loathsome insects persisted, an enduring source of vexation that never ceased to trouble Wushen. They were an unyielding obstacle, a veritable plague that cried out for total annihilation from the very fabric of existence. In Wushen's grand design for utter mayhem and disarray, they were the solitary stumbling block, an obstinate band of warriors, adventurers, and misfits, defiantly standing in his path.

Wushen harbored an insatiable desire to obliterate them, to reduce their existence to nothing more than a gruesome tapestry of lifeless, mutilated remains strewn across the landscape. If only they would acquiesce to stillness, but alas, they persisted in their relentless pursuit of thwarting his malevolent ambitions, their ceaseless motion mocking his every nefarious intent.

A ball of fire began to gather within Brimstone’s mouth, gaining power by the moment. The air between these icy walls that trapped the small grouping of ants grew hot as the inferno grew. They would yet taste defeat by the hands of Brimstone..

Suddenly, the elemental wyrm’s movements became sluggish. The fire ball it had been charging up began to dissipate.

No
NO

The fire elemental found itself pinned in place, a temporary prison of the player’s making. Only able to watch as they continued to poke and prod at the ancient dragon. This only angered Brimstone, and in turn Wushen, even more. They would pay for their insolence with their lives.

Maelstrom: (Critical Attack) deals 100 unmitigated damage to all members of the team, and applies Burn 4 & Conflagrate

  • Conflagrate: For the next two turns, refreshing a Burn Effect will deal all remaining damage before refreshed.

Flailing: Cannot be targeted by any post action unless it is a direct healing effect.

Wushen, Elemental Warlord | HP: ????/???? | DMG: 200 | MITI: 35 75 | ACC: 4(+3) | EVA: 0 | Shatter 2 [1/3] | FOCUSED [1/2]

Guidelines
- Players will have until 11:59 PM EDT on SEPTEMBER 9th to make their posts.
- Please post only in your respective party's thread.
- All questions should be directed to the #askastaff channel is Discord, or Lessa.

"It fucking persists!"

Cro yelled, a very rare reaction to any battle he's in. It must've been the heat or the realization that he might not be the pogchamp anymore.

or maybe, it's because he's almost out of energy

He didn't like this blunder, no one does. He ran, strafed, lunged not to his heart's content but to his mind's annoyance. The monster must die or else Wushen would be always giving them the maze runner treatment.

Three slashes, all coming at once. Eager to reach the brimstone monster and put it down, like what a feral and undisciplined pet deserves. Three slashes converging at one point, at Brimstone's imaginary double chin.

"I'm tired, I want tic tacs."

"It fucking persists!" Koga looked over towards Crozeph, more drawn by the unfamiliar note in the man's voice than what was being said. He was starting to lag, Koga could see. But so was Koga. The man tried to remember the last time he'd actually run out of energy during a fight and came up short. It'd been years, he'd swear. But, it seemed Koga didn't have the infinite stamina he wished he had.

They had to end this soon. Looking up at the boss' HP bar, they still had two full ones to burn through. As much as Koga would've liked to go home and collapse, the sweet embrace of Kasumi's thighs his pillow was a long way away still.

Brimstone, on the other hand. Last legs, and Koga was happy to take them out from under it. It's attacked halted, and held in place, the creature was an easy target. A couple slashes and a stab at the writhing flame, and wyrm was dispatched. Koga pulled his sword out of the corpse of the creature before it burst into blue light. His shoulders heaved with exhaustion. Two down, hopefully only one more to go? "Hey guys? We could use a bit of a pick me up right about now..." Did anyone bring any coffee?

Heat would eat away at her stamina and flame would attempt to nip at her cloak as the creature recovered from the status that bound it. Raising a hand to bring forth a blow that would smite the creature back down, the woman faltered as she watched with anticipation as two others took the lead. Crozeph and Koga working in tandem, striking down the energy-born creature until it had fallen to the ground and faded to nothing.

"Good work you two." she would mutter under her breath as her violet eyes flicked to the next objective—the wall.

Bringing her hand back up, shadow hands would coil and weave themselves together before spinning violently. Suddenly, the shadow would send itself forward, drilling through the barrier. Cracks would slowly form around the puncture as Hidden strained herself. Larger cracks began to form before the sound of shattering ice would fill the air.

"It's up to you guys now." she would call out, looking to the individuals to her left.

The echo from the amphibian war rally was slowly fading out. And when it had totally disappeared, the fire dragons had awaken, but he wasent alone in beeing awake. Both Koga and Crozeph made quick work of it, and poof, the Brimstone was down. Zandra took a steady grip off her axe, now it was time to get on the wall. But after only one step, the wall shattered, thanks to Hidden. Someone had been one step ahead of the berserk healer. So, what was she gonna do then? They was almost all of them at full health, so there was no need for heals. And they wasnt that far away from finish this battle she saw as Wushens healthbars have been visible so was not really needed to spend action on defensive skills.

''Yes.’’ she said to herself. ‘’Yes, I can let my axe do some talking.’’ Her mouth turned into a devilish grin as she was gritting her teeths and the crimson eyes started shining. She was gonna activate her charge skill before she realised that wasnt an option for her anymore. ‘’Very well, just have to do it without.’’ she went up close to Wushen as she felt a darkness inside her growing and some black smoke surronded the axeblade. ‘’Heya little lizard.’’ Zandra shouted to the boss. ‘’Teseleth sending his regards!’’ and with a strong grip of the black, smoking axe, she cleaved thru the scales, leaving a long scar across its skin.

when she came to, the battlefield had changed already. almost as though the ice wall, the head of fire and the humiliation had been a fever dream. it obviously wasn't – her sights did graze over koga and crow reeling from their expended energy, just as the last of the wall shattered into pieces and simmered in midair as a flurry of crystal particles. so night had to recalculate her next steps.

she did it at her own leisurely pace.

the only cue she did have was from zandra breaking away from the party, and night figured she should follow suit. nothing to the flailing head still active; if it needed a cover up, like a terrible pimple, the player couldn't do anything about it. night placed a hand over her eyes as she shuffled up to wushen – wanting to break out into a sprint, but the exhaustion got the best of her – and set down a strike, almost poorly placed.

was she concussed from the fall before? it felt like it. she needed to get her head back in the game – and fast.
