Roleplay out reasoning and conversations why chain of command is important (only required for the first time clearing this quest). Summary: Combat can be extremely chaotic and it is important to understand who to turn to for direction. Magnitudes more during more life threatening encounters like floor boss fights. Each member of the guild is responsible for their own actions and responding on the fly with critical thinking, but in times of confusion it could mean life or death to be stricken with inaction. Division Captains are the veterans to turn to in these times where guild members struggle to know how to respond, experienced hands who are there to offer guidance and make tough decisions quickly. In the same vein, being able to communicate quickly and concisely with your team without compromising information to the enemy can also prove invaluable. These planned excursions even if not difficult are meant to train members unity, and 'cut the chaff' in combat. Unity is one of the founding tenants of Firm Anima. “Be extremely subtle even to the point of formlessness. Be extremely mysterious even to the point of soundlessness. Thereby you can be the director of the opponent's fate.” ~ Sun Tzu Outline: All party members are to join a team of at least 4 members, and the team must include at least one Division Captain if this attempt is the first one. Players are encouraged to create a well rounded team that would be suitable for participating in a raid, including at least one tank, one support and one scout. Once the players have roleplayed introductions if necessary and have joined a party, players are to parse field boss information in the main meeting hall 'war room' on papers strewn across the center mahogany table and decide on a field boss to hunt down together. After which, players are to proceed to travel to the location of the field boss and engage it. During combat with the field boss, players are to work on communicating effectively and acting together with other party members. Players are encouraged to attempt styles of 'combined attacks' during combat. During combat all discussion with your team should be brief and spoken speech should be kept to a bare minimum. Tanks are encouraged to take a lead role, with other members responding accordingly with agreement or adaptations based on circumstances. Once combat has completed, all participants are required to converse with their team and evaluate how well communication was held. Where they did well and where they can improve. If this is the first attempt, Divisional captains are required to provide pointers and analyze each participant on how well they communicate and respond to command. In addition, each participant should discuss why chain of command is relevant to prevent conflicting goals and confusion in dangerous situations. Epilogue: Hide contents After having been put through the ringer, your body aches and you could really use a bite to eat. The memory of combat will stick with you, and how quickly even the most difficult fight is made trivial with allies there to back you up. The training you've undergone has turned you into a battle hardened veteran and will continue every week until the game is cleared. Approved
