[MB-F4] Frosty The Warlord

The two group mates attacked quickly, but Kazuya wasn't too far behind them. He watched closely as they seemed to attack in sync. You're up Kazuya. Make your mark. He watched as Alkor made his blow.

Kazuya sprinted up to the beast, activating <Charge>. He knew that since it could only be used once and it had to be from a distance, now would be his only chance. He speed up as his skill activated. Charging the beast he unsheathed his sword and brought it to his ear. He aimed at the monster's right side of its chest.

Upon reaching the beast, he shoved his arm forward and used his momentum to carry though with the blow. He planted his heel in the ground so he wouldn't run into the monster, and spun around it. He ran to regroup with the others. Stopping by Daeron's side, he looked at what they had done as a team.

Frosty held his massive frost blade over his frozen shoulders. Letting out a roar, that released snow into the air, causing some snow to fall through the air a bit, almost causing weather phenomenon. The giant ice soldier charged in towards Daeron, the biggest threat of the first group that attacked. Swingint it's weapon at the player, all players to could feel the cold wind being blown at them from the swing's wind, that was pushed at them.

The weapon had missed the player, but maybe by a single inch away. In fact, Daeron could feel the cold slash almost without the weapon even touching him. Frosty let out another loud roar, shaking the area around them, moving some snow throughout the ground.

Zelrius squinted as the snow around him raged on. He looked around, some of those gathered were clearly a little uneasy. Aurora hadn't given a whole lot of information and The boss was semi massive. So, in that event, Zelrius could see why some of those around him were not at full confidence. However, It didn't stop there. When the groups formed and the Boss fight appeared before him, Zelrius saw something that was new to Boss fights as of late: Two full 100 HP Bars. Both fully sized and both green as grass. The arrogant boy smirked, He liked something new, and esspically if that something new was a challenge.

Drawing his Twinfire sword with his left hand from the Small Golden colored hilt that sat on his right hip, Zelrius charged forth, Right after Frosty's attack on Daeron and Made an attempt to show his true power

Kosan was watching everyone attacking , He was looking around , being a little bit scared as it was his first boss fight As he saw him spawn he saw a giant of ice , with 2 HP bars of 100 HP each . "Damn that's a lot of health" he said to himself looking at the people from group 1 attacking the boss .  But now he had no more time to waste thinking as it was his group turn to attack . As he pulls out the sword he charges at the Ice-Giant and with a slash he inflicts some damage .

Rebekah readied herself for the moment that Kosan would attack. She knew that she was next in line to make her move, and she had a small window of opportunity to fight this battle. She took the shortest route to the monster, fully knowing that its better to be fast rather than miss her turn completely. She looked up at its giants HP bars, its dropping but not fast enough she thought.

Rue watched Rebeka finish her attack. They all had done considerable damage against the boss. She unsheathed her knife. My turn. She willed her blade to glow brighter. The boar listened lighting up the area. She held her knife tightly. She rushed in kicking the boss. It flew a few feet back.nshe then leaped forward thrusting her blade into its cold body. Its health went down some. She then kicked off his body and landed on the ground in from of her group. She then embraced for a counter attack.

The Warlord kept its composure. Showing no sign of weakness towards any of the attacks. That was until a player, Zelrius, had inflicted a burning effect on it. Due to the boss being made of pure ice, the damage was doubled on him. "Fool!" the hollow, but angry voice hammered through the air. In an enraged frenzy, the Warlord charged in Zelrius' direction, holding it's massive blade in one hand.

"Freeze!" the voice yelled, hitting the player with a heavy blow. The Warlord sent a wave of ice through the player's body, making it unable for him to move entirely.

Tristan took a deep breath out to behold the beast before them. Real shame it wasn't a giant Santa Claus, this game needed more joke bosses. Well anyhow, Tristan looked intently at the beast as he thouht of what his next action should be. An attack, yeah. He should honestly parry, but he let his recklessness get to his head and charged forward at the beast, striking with a thrust the monster at its leg.

The spear bounced off the ice of the monster, but not without leaving a chink. This boss looked like it would take a while to defeat though...well, better get to it! Tristan got in a defensive stance, ready to absorb the blow, hoping he would be the one attacked by the beast as the tank of the group.

Celes smiled as she watched tristan attack, it was her turn to tear a chunk off of Frosty. She raced forward, running around the beast and jumping up. She climbed and stabbed the back of the beast (DMG 10). She pulled her glaive out and fell back, flipping until she fell down on her foot. She braced herself for the next attack. "Lets get him guys!!"  she yelled at her comrades, trying to get them together.

Mari didn't have a chance to discuss matters much further, soon the giant monster appeared - Mari winced as it roared - it's loud cry echoing across the field and seemingly the floors. The others had all set into their formations and Mari was happy that she had been grouped with Celes, not so much with Tristan and the third she didn't know. She wasn't familiar with him but he seemed under prepared and under levelled. Celes attacked, strong and true - dealing a strong mighty blow. Mari smiled, she didn't understand how Celes wanted to prove herself. She had already done so in Mari's eyes.

Mari kicked off as soon as Celes landed back at her side - Mari wasn't going to let the boss have any moments reprise, she ducked under a strike which was aimed for another Player, grabbing hold of Frosty's arm she hurled herself up onto it - running up the length of her arm, dragging her dagger behind her. Mari jumped back down when she reached his back - it was a shame her dagger had frost touch - the beast would be immune to such a thing. Being made of ice. Mari turned around - she may be at a disadvantage now - she hadn't returned to the other group and was standing behind the Monthly Boss, still she was confident that her strike dealt a strong blow.

The Warlord let out another heavy, loud roar where he send fragments of ice flying through the empty air. The terrain around the scene of the fight was covered in snow, and crystals of the snow were blown about the air. Charging in at Tristan Delaney, who appeared to be the tank of the group, the boss raised it's weapon at the player.

The weapon hits the player's shield, dealing a slight amount of damage. At the same time however, the boss' health had dropped slightly too. With the health nearing the halfway mark, the boss' actions would become more brutal as the fight carries on.

The woman seemed to materialize by Life's side. The usually punctual player had arrived after the action had begun, but not because she had poorly managed her time. Lessa had played with the idea of joining the battle all day, debating whether or not it was a good idea. Loss and loneliness had weighed her down for some time, and she had had a difficult time crawling out of this depression. Finally, she had chosen to take the plunge. If nothing else, this would serve as a distraction. Furthermore, she would sleep better knowing she had lent her sword to the cause.

The Wild Rose drew her blade. It had been a very long time since she had engaged in combat like this, but the motion still came naturally to her. This again proved to her that, somehow, Hell Rose had been made for her. The thick hilt fit snug between her gauntlet-clad palms, and when she lunged for the snow beast, the heavy claymore seemed weightless.

Of course, heavy armor slowed her considerably, limiting her mobility. She was not able to move with the precise speed of some of the other players. Throwing herself onto the beast's back and hopping about would not be an option for her. But that mattered very little as the woman reached Frosty's leg. Lessa brought her sword back over her right shoulder. Then, with a strange sort of grace, she mimicked a baseball player at bat. Her hips turned first, guiding the rest of her torso around. The momentum whipped the pink claymore in a small arch, and lodged it into Frosty's leg. The monster gave a guttural cry as she yanked her weapon free, but she was well out of his range by the time his body twisted to face her.

It had been quit some time that life interacted with other players again. It seemed that he was so caught up in his own world he had forgotten what it was like to around company you could enjoy. It wasn't as if it where a social gathering or anything.. but it seemed as though a mob boss would be as close to one as he could get.. or as comfortable as he would be.. per say. His eyes scanned the crowds of players who had gathered at this event to slay this mob boss. They slowly travelled from each notable face, all of his old friends but.. Mari.. His eyes shot away, of course she had to be there. He still hadn't forgave himself for what happened on that day, but it was something that he had to live with. It didn't matter now, all he had to do was focus on the goal.

"It's good to see you again Lessa" He spoke with a warm tone, undeserving of love, almost repenting but for something no one could ever know. He watched as everyone made their move on Frosty. It seemed to happen in an instant, but that was the way he liked it anyway. He didn't really know the other two members of his team, only vaguely remembering Orhalimi as the newbie he had met long ago. He watched Lessa take the lead, everyone was doing a fair bit of damage.

He swung his machete around taking slow steps forward, he was known to deal a good bit of damage himself. Just as he did in all of his mob fights, they'd be done in a few hacks. Obviously however this was an event boss, with the help of everyone it should not be difficult at all. He stopped the swinging and readied the blade in his hand. Frosty eyeing him carefully. He thought there was no time like the present to unleash his bag of tricks, it's not like he would be facing this opponent again. He faintly stutter stepped causing Frosty to think twice about his movement and just as he blind and attempted to register his movement, L had already ducked out of its line of sight. Within a few seconds of the beasts confusion it soon found Lifes blade of the abyss stuck in its side. It looked back down at L but he wasn't stopping he ran an easy circle around the warlord flipping back over its head before making his way back to the group. One rotation of the battle and its health seemed to be already down halfway. "Eh, he's not so tough"

Attention Players!

Hey guys, GM Daeron here with a stupid message that I need to post right now right here. Because you all have been waiting on me to post as the boss, I truly feel sorry. The boss was intended to be quickly. So, I will go ahead and be kind to all of you. There will be no posting order. You may do an attack anytime you aren't within the latest 5 posts. Unfortunately, I don't have the time to run the boss right now and that seems to be disappointing. Once you players defeat the Monthly Boss, the rewards will be given out accordingly and at random to assure every player gets a fair chance at the prizes.

Again, I'm sorry for the true inconvenience, but fear not for I will be putting a limit on players per monthly boss and making them much easier in the future so that they don't take half a year anymore. This is the only exception. All Col will be handed out at the end of the thread and again, super sorry for the problem I have caused. Until you guys beat this boss, I'll be seeing you around...

- GM Daeron

((starting things off from here as the first to post under the new rules, seriously lets get this done and dusted))

Mari wiped her brow with her sleeve, why weren't people attacking? Why were they just hanging back? She gave an annoyed "Tch." As she took charge and ran forward, dagger held close to her body; emitting a soft glow. She was still behind the boss - and was able to strike it from behind. Mari lowered herself, skidding under Frosty the Warlord - with her dagger raised as it dealt a painful blow to the mobs underside, a deep red gash appeared. His health had just hit below the halfway point. The players here, they still had a long way to go. But Mari was confident in her own abilities, and the abilities of a few of the other players. Not all, though. Rolling backward Mari used her hands as she sprung herself into a back flip. Joining the group of players once more. Mari, was more agile and aerobatic than other players. Being a Performer on top of her acrobatics skill sure had its perks. "Heh."

Zelrius merely stood there, Trying to Unfreeze himself, Eventually the freeze came off, but now the Blood Buccaneer had missed his chance, So he backed up and got ready to strike another time, His twinfire sword glistening brightly in the snow and ready at any moment to take the Frosty warlord down a few notches, And probably effectively end the bosses life span.

Rebekah looked around, and it felt as if the group had shrunk from the original 16 that started taking on this boss fight. She watched as both Mari & Zelrius had attacked, and saw nobody was attacking afterward, thus she made her move at this moment. She was confident that the remaining group of players could be able to finish this battle, as she attacked with her rapier. However, since she was the only person moving in this room, Frosty was completely focused on her, as she was knocked back before she could get close enough for an attack.

As Kosan saw Mari and Rebekah attack , Mari dealing some damage to it and Rebekah getting hit back by frosty, not letting her hit him he asked " Oi ! Rebekah , are you all righty ?" As he started charging at Frosty , the boss.."Okay.. Kosan..focus.." He said to himself as he jumped into the air and landed a hit on frosty , inflicting some damage to it. He then jumps back to a safe distance.."let's end this boss already..." He said to himself as he smiled a little..

All order seemed to fall away as the great beast's health dropped past the halfway point. In a strange sort of beautiful chaos, players from all teams began to storm the Warlord, the edges of their weapons shimmering like the flakes of falling snow as they caught the light. At first, the blonde was startled by the sudden change. Though their initial plan had been incredibly slow-moving, it had provided everyone with a sense of direction. High and low-level players alike had their turn, and even those who were generally more timid were given the opportunity to dish out damage. With this system, however, there was no turn-taking. It was a free-for-all, and before Lessa's eyes, men and women, many of whom she had never met before, left their mark on the boss.

It was a dangerous gamble; the steady stream of damage was sending Frosty into a panicked rage, and its icy limbs were flailing about madly. One strike from the not-so-jolly snow beast could mean the end of any low-level player, and that was reason enough for the girl in pink to take pause. However, as she began to pick out the players she did recognize, she felt her confidence growing. It was the young player named Rebekah who finally tipped the scales. She was a friend, a fellow Guardian, and despite her lower level, she fought with impeccable courage. It was enough to bring a flicker of a smile to Lessa's lips, and a small fire of determination to her stomach.

Fueled by the drive her guild mate had provided her, the woman in the heavy armor lunged forward. Again, she directed her attention toward Frosty's leg, as it was the most easily attained target. Heavy feet stomped around her, as the other players continued their assault on Frosty's arms, head, and torso. Fortunately, Lessa was able to scoot beneath the monster just long enough to land a heavy hit. A few blonde tendrils fell into her face as she fell back once more, but she paid them no mind. Instead, blue pools remained glued to the task at hand.
