[F17-PP-PT] Magic Cauldron (Challenge of Olympus
Nisahime replied to Nisahime's topic in Intermediate Floors
“So about that reward, it is clear to me that I won so fork it over.” Left hand on her hip while the other was reaching out palm up toward the NPC that she was supposed to be challenging. To them it was mindblowing but to her it was an everyday craft. Clearing her throat very loudly to get their attention. He leans back up standing tall as they walk to stand in front of Morrighan. Pulling something from his coat pocket, setting it into her hand. It was a small amulet with a chain. “Can we keep this here?” the dude says as he looks back toward the potion. “I mean I guess if you really want it. -

Pulling it off the heat, it gives a soft glow. She sets it on the table and looks at the others who are now circled around her. Placing the mitt on the table and backing up. They all move in to get a closer look. It was a bit weird because it wasn’t just the dude that she walked to when she first walked in. It was literally all the figures observing that content that was just created. “We have never seen anything like this” another one says “This is so potent” someone else comments “This is more than just a masterpiece creation.” They were all so fixated and amused with Morrighan’s craft. It w -

Knowing that the more potent the potion was the more material it needed which meant the more liquid there would be in the held container. These flasks were hand crafted. Also out of content, the bigger the better. The other thing that she knew was this may not be something that the system or people in Aincrad could use. It might be too strong or not match any recipe that has ever been used for such a complex potion. Who knows, maybe when it was completed the system would change the name or dumb it down so it could be used. A shrug of her shoulders as she continues watching the brew. After a fe -

Adding the grinded powder to the mixture, she would let it dissolve again. Waiting for it to boil, holding her ground for a few seconds more before putting on the mitt and removing it from the heat once more. Setting it on the table, she sets one of the four leaf clovers in the bowl. These were a little more complex. They were rougher at the edges and a thicker material. She would have to put more force into breaking this one down. At the corner of her eyes she could see the NPC’s gathering around her. A smirk peers on her face as she continues the process. A couple minutes pass, the clover is -

It would be used for the next chain of ingredients. It was very possible to burn the potion if it was left on the heat too long. Any basic alchemist would know this information. Morrighan turns to see how the supposed champion was doing, they were staring at Morrighan and the work that she was doing. It was almost like they had never seen such precision in alchemy before. Weird, maybe they would learn a thing or two and stop acting like they were the kings and queens of absolutely nothing. Turning back to her work, she would begin to grind another two blood herbs in the small bowl. Collecting -

First the grinding of the bloody and base. Setting on in the pestle, using the blender to crush the herb into tiny flakes. It was almost a powder when she was done with it. She pours the content into the flask like bottle and starts working on the next. Grinding the base herb in her little ceramic bowl until it became powder as well. She slowly pours some water into the bloody leaf blend and turns the heat on underneath her potion making kit. She would let that dissolve first then add the base when it was done. It was the only way to ensure that it combined the correct way. The liquid began to -

With the twist of each lid, she sets 4 jars down on the ground. Collecting the water, closing them tightly so they had no chance of leaking in her bag. After they were all full and packed away she would get up and head back to where she came in. With little effort she was staring back at the huge white building that the imposters were lolly gagging in. Pushing through the large metal doors like they were nothing, it had been 4 minutes. It wasn’t really her fault, the system was rigged and she had a feeling that this would be too. Walking to a bare table she takes out a mortar and pestle. Setti -

Around a bent, down a long hallway. Now that she thought about it this looked a lot like Barri Dungeon back home but it was different. There were shafts and cart rails everywhere on the ground and walls. “Haha” she knew that this was the cardinal fucking with her. Jokes on his though, she knew every path that each zone had to offer. The only reason that this place would be different is because she didn’t recall this place having a water source or a clover patch. As she walked through the next threshold, there they both were. That is what made this dungeon different from back home, this right h -

Nisahime replied to Nisahime's topic in Intermediate Floors
She didn’t want to have to come back out here to gather more materials. It was purely a waste of time. This whole thing was a waste of time but to get better by game standards she had to do it. There were only 2 ingredients left. The first was a four leaf clover, they were sorta a bitch in her world to get unless you had the pig to gather from. This was one of her friends of the animal variety that she had not found yet, she would have to make due. Glancing around the cave interior there was none, so she moved further into the cavern hoping that there was a water source and the patch that she -

In this cave there was a whole smattering of herbs patches. This is what she liked to see. Reaching down to the bloody herb patch, that wasn’t what they were called here but old habits die hard. Plucking a few from the patch needing a total of three, she would grab a few more for good measures. The next on her list was base herbs or in this game it was called green herbs. The context of the idea was clearly stolen from her world. If it looks the same and acts the same then in reality it actually is the same with a different name. It was a little annoying but she plucked a few from the roots th -

They finally return, “Fine, you have ten minutes to gather what you need” the dude tells her. Morrighan laughs saying “I’ll be back in 5” as she turns and almost runs into the larger creature. “Move it” she says rushing past the thing. She thought that this was a huge waste of time, but the game required her to do it to move forward with her crafts. She would obliged, for now. As she walked out the huge metal doors, a mental list started forming in her head of the materials that were needed. Base potions, she already figured out how to make her way. They did not sell such things in this game s -

“Wow you really think that low of me?” good she could hear fear in that voice. “He is huffin and puffin, could blow a house down with that breath.” Pointing a thumb back behind her toward the creature. They sit down with a glare toward the woman. “So what do you nerds need to do for this dumb quest?” Morrighan says in an outburst not wanting to stand around longer than she had too. “Make us something that impresses us, everything that you need is right over there.” pointing toward the table that had a bunch of equipment and materials on it. “Hmm counter offer, you use that crap and I’ll find m -

The creature left Morrighan at the top with folded arms and a tapping of one foot to the dusted ground waiting. Seeing the thing struggling to keep pace, he was out of breath when he got there. The thing held the side of the mountain wall huffing. It was most likely the fastest that he had ever needed to go, that was just sad. “Chop chop dude, time is ticking” saying as she tries to light a fire under their ass. With a deep sigh of an impatient breath she would move forward to the large towered white building. A place that she had been once before to gather things that belonged to her. Pushing -

Not sure where that came from but she could expect nothing less. She hadn’t gone this way last time so literally anything could happen. Pebbles fell down off the cliff side, threatening a landslide that will most likely not come. The system had a way of trying to scare players but she was not any ordinary player. The system could do anything that it wanted, they would have a hard time catching her. “Aren’t you supposed to be leading me big boy?” saying as she turns to look at the weird creature. “Guide I think not. That would require you to be in front of me.” It seemed like he was a mile away -

Making haste up the mountain side, the quest wasn’t allowing her to bypass the system like she did when she was grabbing her gloves. It was rather annoying. A Satyr just randomly appears in front of her. “I am” Morrighan puts a hand up to stop his talking “Don’t even start, just start walking” it tries to speak again but Morrighan holds up an index finger to he lips with a “SHHHHH” and points up the hill behind it, “Go on.” It finally gets the memo and turns. Good, she didn’t want to have to push the damn thing up the hill. If this is what she would have to do with every skill she got ranks in -
“Excuse me sir” saying as she lifts a ladybug off the herb she was about to grasp. She has been crafting a lot of potions, she needed to level to the games standards even though it was already known that she was better than everyone here. The speed of leveling would show them just that. Picking another herb, she didn’t need to stay in one place because it was all very clear to her. She walks a few feet and attempts another before something pops up on her HUD screen. “HEY not cool” reading it for a second, “Oh you are so one” swiping it shut after accepting the challenge. Glancing to the map, s

'Ma... Ma...' Mari paused mid-step at the odd utterance, it caught her off guard. A certain kind of chill hit her stomach. her brow furrowed as she turned over her shoulder gaze falling on the silver haired woman. She was about ready to chastise her, Mari wasn't a mother. Not anymore. Mari had many people call her that in the past, players who - for some reason had looked up to her, or found solace in her. But that was so long burried in her past. Once upon a time Mari played into it, almost needed the validation - after having lost her own daughter but the weight of that pressure got to

Hidden didn’t move as the mirror of her dagger hit the grass, its glint of steel flashing once before vanishing into the tangle of green. Her eyes tracked it, but only for a moment. Then they found the girl again, already leaning against the tree like all of this was routine. When the words landed — “pleading and praying for purpose” — Hidden let out a short breath, not quite a laugh. “That’s a bit dramatic,” she said dryly, though there wasn’t much heat behind it. Her gaze dropped to the grass, fingers flexing absently at her sides. “I didn’t beg for anything. I made a choice.” She paused, th

She moved in again, blade humming with quiet light, the same art she’d executed twice before. But this time, her hand wavered — just slightly. The curved sword swept forward, precise in shape but not in timing. The boarlet ducked under the swing with a grunt, kicking off the ground and bounding to the left. Dust swirled where her edge struck, but the boarlet’s hitbox remained untouched. Miyuki exhaled through her nose, jaw tight. Another mistake. Not fatal not yet but every miss felt like a lost step in the dance. “Don’t force the rhythm. Let it come to you.” The

[PP-F09] Bless Your Little Bandit Heart <<Bandit Camp>>
Jomei replied to Siren's topic in Beginner Floors
The sound of Siren's rapier slicing into the hip of the bandit drew the attention of all around her. A mix of shock that she attacked one of their own and excitement that they'd get to see some action. It caught Jomei's eye as well, but instead he looked at the health bar that appeared beside the bandit as the attack landed. A paper thin sliver of green was taken away from the total. "Hoo-boy.." Jomei muttered under his breath through a sigh. He had help onto a bit of hope that Siren was just being humble, at that she could hold her own in combat. This quest, at least, seemed a bit above -
Hidden blinked, half-expecting some pushback, or at least a question — but instead, the woman just let out a sigh and started reeling in her line, all the grace of someone giving up their last bit of peace for the day. No argument. No snark. Just a quiet sort of resignation, like she’d been through this routine before and already knew how it ended. Hidden watched, a little stunned, as the stranger packed up her things with the air of someone being evicted rather than confronted. No fire, no challenge — just a muttered promise to leave, like her presence had been a burden from the start. I

The journey back to Zackariah's shop passed without incident and as Sunny closed the door after entering he heard the familiar voice greet him. "Ah, so you're back. How did it go? Were you successful?" Selecting his inventory and then the quest item, a plant stem with bright green leaves appeared in front of Sunny and he grabbed it from mid-air before placing it on the counter in front of the Alchemist. "It took longer than I would have liked, but I found this. I hope it will suffice?" Zackariah picked up the herb and inspected it before nodding. "Yes, this will do nicely." Rea

As Oscar spoke to his two...students? Friends? As Oscar spoke to both Lysette and Abellio Mari leaned toward Oscar, head on his sweaty shoulder. At least the tension was gone now. So it seemed the problem more so stemmed from the fact he didn't warn them about her first? Mari snorted. Yeh, that sounded like Oscar. Orange Players are a little scary, yanno? "More than you know." Her voice quiet, downcast eyes closing with a heavy sigh. All the things she had experienced lately. She was so used to the seedy underbelly of Aincrad that it was hard to forget that it was not the norm. Regul

Redemption. Second chances. The opportunity to do better. It was the same thing Lydia was doing. Making up for the past, taking control of her life. Wasn't that the entire reason she'd rid herself of her tattoos and piercings. Lydia had reinvented herself in Aincrad. To the point that she dreaded the day they would leave. Those marks would be back. Those reminders that she'd let other people live her life for her. She couldn't bring herself to begrudge Mari her own reinvention. With a soft sigh, she also put away her weapon. Her shoulders slumped forward for a moment, then her back strai
