[F30-PP] In a land of edibles, what is a fish? {Jacob's Ladder}
Mari replied to Hirru's topic in Intermediate Floors
"Catch anything?" say "J-Jomei?" Mari asked, looking up from her fishing rod, she had just finished affixing a gummy fish to the hook. She was surprised to see him. "What are you doing here?" A question spoken from genuine surprise. Mari had expected him to go join Hirru, and whomever else was with him. "Why aren't you in the safe zone with the others?" A question stemmed from someone so used to doing things on her own. Being on her own. Even with the company of her husband. Mari glanced down to her right arm, still pink, still healing from being burned. Slowly, it dawned on her - her own -

Only having just sat down, Arbalest quickly found herself in the same feelings those amongst the dancers. When those feeling began to dissipate instead of being re-introduced to the plate of food that she so desperately desired was replaced with a lovely looking woman. As great as she looked, Arbalest herself was not in costume -- besides the mask of course -- and was so surprised by the sudden shift of her position. It was quickly making her sick despite her prior experience. "Ugh...Fuji was less nauseating than that-" She started complaining before noticing Bliss. "Oh. You're not the ho

[F01 - F09] <<Katana Skill Acquisition>> The Strength of The Blade
Scar replied to Alinta's topic in Beginner Floors
The heat did not let up. It was very close to Jack's body, and was like a living creature pressing, heavy and hard, against his skin. However, he would have not been able to resist the overwhelming heat but to admire the scenery. Yōgan Village wasn't just situated near a volcano; it was a settlement that depended on the volcano for its materials. The town was encircled with sharp cliffs of turned lava. the remains of a very old eruption that, nowadays, was used as a town's protection. The houses were made of obsidian - large, partially hollowed-out pieces of volcanic glass, which under th -

[F01 - F09] <<Katana Skill Acquisition>> The Strength of The Blade
Alinta replied to Alinta's topic in Beginner Floors
“If you think I make orders sound like poetry than consider me your muse, your poet, your weaver of words.” Alinta would say between small kisses against his temple. Offering moments of affection at every chance she got. Doting on him as though he were the only person in the world. “But if my orders are poetry, then your laughter is my drug.” Another kiss, this time to his cheek. “One I’m already far too addicted to.” It was a wonder the two ever got anything done. Constantly whispering sweet nothings into each others ears, teasing and playing and trying to one up each other. Hot te -

Jack blinked when her forehead hit the table, soft chuckle escaped him as he leaned forward slightly. "You alright there?" he teased, his voice carrying that quiet amusement only she could pull out of him. Before he could reach out, though, she kicked him under the table. That drew a deeper laugh from him , low and unrestrained this time. "Okay, okay, I get it. You want me to be serious for once." Her exasperation was endearing, the way she tried so hard to keep her composure even while he was sitting there smiling like an idiot. But when she grabbed his shirt and pulled him close, his la -

They whispered their name into his ear. (and time slowed. they’re close. intimate. maybe it had been ages since he’s had this much closeness pressed against someone else. shikari’s found his breath caught lodged in his throat from a gasp of air drunk deep, legs almost stilled from motion by the lack of distance between them. almost. there had been a whiff of something fragrant from their near presence, and shikari might’ve been convinced then that if he were willing to close his eyes, that worldspinning reverie would be no different than with prior bodies familiar he’d he

Alinta really didn’t think it was all that much trouble, she ordered a few extra drinks, she transcribed and collated a bunch of information, that took what? A few hours at best? So when he made another comment all Alinta could do was shrug. “No. I didn’t.” A simple reply spoken with honesty. She’d reach up and brush strands of black hair behind his ear, returning his gesture. “To me, it was no trouble. An effort as easily as breathing.” To see his soft smile. To hear the appreciation in his voice and his light laughter. “Keep up with me?” Alinta sounded exasperated. “Honey…I…I only have -

Scar replied to Scar's topic in Beginner Floors
Post Action: Foraging for a Demonic Shard The forest around Jack felt heavier than usual, the mist lingering closer to the ground, muffling the subtle sounds of life. Every branch, every leaf seemed to watch him as he moved carefully, his boots pressing into the damp earth with measured steps. The compass pulsed faintly in his palm, a weak heartbeat that had guided him through countless failed attempts. The Demonic Shard remained elusive, hiding somewhere deeper, just out of reach. He once more went down on his knees and his gloved hand dug into the earth and it removed some moss an -

Scar replied to Scar's topic in Beginner Floors
Post Action: Foraging for a Demonic Shard The forest closed in on him, the trees standing as quiet witnesses, the shadows waiting as guards. Jack tightened his hold on the pass, sensing its weak beat from his hand. The woods didn't give up their secret despite Jack's cautious walk. The Demon Shard was still hidden. Once again, he was on the ground, looking everywhere in the dirt, removing leaves and bits of old bark. The roots were twisting on the earth as if they were snakes, thus Jack had to slow down his pace, walking carefully and intentionally. Everything was taken into account:
