  2. "Who only see black and white - Olive eyes shifted from Mari's for a moment. There was a time when he felt the same way.. he still felt that tug to an extent. The orange marker that hovered above Mari, and many others, meant they had done.. something. Committed some sort of crime, stole something, hurt someone. Though Jomei knew enough that anyone he experienced with that same crystal had carried out a murder - Mari included. Realization of why his offer sounded so outlandish set in, but he quickly dismissed it. He said it earlier himself, his friends trusted Mari.. so he could as w
  3. As she waited for her food, Firefly took a moment to check on her little Chartreux cat who had hopped up into the vacant seat next to her. It mewed quietly to her, expressing it's annoyance with the loudness of the tavern. In return she would give the cat a soft pet on the head. "I know it's loud in here, we might be sticking around awhile though. It can't be worse than the sandstorm we endured though!" She did her best to keep the cat's spirits up. It thought about it for a moment, then gave her a comforting purr as it's acceptance. That's when a man would enter her field of vision, putt
  4. The rich aroma of brewing coffee was rejuvenating. Jomei felt himself leaning more into the bar, as if trying to get closer to the source of the smell. He was no coffee snob by any means, his own order was usually pretty simple - sweet, but not enough to outshine its natural flavor. The smell, however, even non-coffee drinkers would agree that there was something intoxicating and calming about it. "Can't blame you, honestly." Jomei admitted as Oscar placed the mug of brew in front of him. He would gently wave a hand over the top of the cup, the steam rising and warming his palm as he tes
  5. Today
  6. Despite their predicament, Jomei could not help but laugh. Only their luck would leave them suspended by their ankles, slowly rocking back and forth like a pair of human pinatas. At least there was no one with a bat trying to knock their treasures loose. Though, if someone else were here, they could probably cut the two loose with no issue. Slim chances of that. "Doubt your armor is doing much to make it any easier." Jomei commented as Lessa tried to crunch at her midsection and cut herself loose. Definitely better than he was doing, at least, his rapier fell out of his hands and w
  7. Reytac was sipping on his tea when he saw a small shuffling in the crowd of people as another person entered the tavern. So far, he hadn't really heard anyone, player or NPC, mention either of the people that his quest log was telling him to track down, and he was slowly getting close to the point of giving up and just walking through the town until he spotted either one of them. There weren't that many people that lived in this town, so it couldn't be that hard to find one of them! But he kept paying attention as the person walked over to the bar and talked to the bar keep, and asked him a qu
  8. “Sewallus has a lot going on so it doesn’t surprise me in the slightest.” Wulfrin responded, his eyes fixated on his gauntleted right hand. “He tends to just dip without notice. At least he’s got a bit more tact than Abdullah.” Wulfrin was absent deep into his own mental observations of the fight with Monkey King. The flames of his sword art which usually only clung to the blade he used to initiate the art, had instead seemed to originate from him. The similarities to how the shadows clung to him as a result of his run ins with the Gemini mobs was to say the least bone chilling. In recent
  9. "Mom, turn the light off, what's going on? What's with all that noise!", Al's eyes sprung open and back to the actuality of his current reality. He was back in the inn, still in the inn where he had found respite for the night. The room was small and sparsely decorated room, it had seemed bigger when he had arrived, the only furnishings being the bed, a small table and a single chair that was neatly pushed under the table, an unlit lantern sat to one side on the table. He had left the curtains pulled back last night, which he was regretting as the light shone bright through filtered, hurti
  10. It didn't take much time after defeating the Monkey King for Wulfrin and Astra to continue on with their travels. The pair (formerly accompanied by the druidic warrior Sewallus) took down the beast with ease, and now it was time to continue through the thick forests of Floor 8, to find what they really came here for...A battle with another large animal. This time, they were on the hunt for the legendary Kumatetsu, a being who seemed to be another piece of the puzzle laid out by the tablet they found. "Hmph. Can't believe Sewallus really left without even saying bye. That's kinda rude..."
  11. Warren would show not too soon after she had arrived, giving her a lovely wave in greeting which she returned with a smile and a wave herself. "Hey there. Nice to see you again." He seemed a slight sluggish but she trusted every member of the Tracker's Alliance to preform well. They hadn't found themselves in a scrap together up until this point, though, so she wanted to show that she could be a reliable fighter. His compliment threw her off immediately, however. "Oh! Th-Thank you! I made it myself!" Her face flushed with red as she stammered through her words. They couldn't linger on tha
  12. The nauseating lights enveloped her senses with a kaleidoscope of color. Re-actively she shut her eyes and tried to withstand the sickness that using the teleportation plaza usually made her feel. Thankfully it was a relatively quick process. Floor eight, a new prospect for her. First thing she noticed was another lush forest. If there was one thing the creators of the game really enjoyed it was trees. Granted, when you're trying to create 100 unique environments you'd eventually end up with this problem, she assumed. Though, Ellesmera was not her target location Firefly would take a few

  17. Yesterday
  18. Reytac stretched out as the warm air of the forest washed over him, filling his nose with the medley of scents that pervaded the area. He couldn't pin it down to any one smell he was used to - at times he thought there was the smell of pine, at others the smell of damp earth was near overwhelming. His ears rang with the cries of birds and wildlife, unseen but definitely not quiet, as the man twisted his torso, getting his spine to pop as he loosened himself up after his trek through the forest. He'd left the main, protected settlement behind a while ago, and his destination was finally in sigh

  23. Virtues Adaptable: ERROR does not have issues with change of plans. There are a number of instances in Aincrad where a player is forced to adapt to a situation, and ERROR is no stranger to them. Unlike most however, given their nature it is easier then it is for most for them to adapt to the change in circumstances. Intricate: ERROR has layers, like an onion. Given how ERROR performs socially, its very hard to get a read on ERROR. This extends beyond just a conversation, ERROR is hard to track down and hard to locate. The only real way to find them, is if they find you. Resolute: They do

  26. Helpless, Lessa watched the vines snag Jomei, then drag him up beside her. His body bumped against hers like some horrifying human windchime, but instead of the sweet twinkle of wind through steel, the only sound she made was a guttural "oof." He hung quite a bit lower than she did, and realizing where her face ended up, she did her best to twist away from him. All her attempt earned her was a slow, lazy spin on the end of her green rope. "Listen," she began as she came around to face him, moving at a glacial pace, "I don't mean to be offensive or anything. But we look really, really stupid ri
