[SP-PT-F01] A Recipe for Adventure | «Earning a Living: Cook»
Scar posted a topic in Beginner Floors
Jack pushed open the tavern door, and a wave of warmth hit him like a friendly shove. The smell inside was impossible to ignore: roasting meat, sizzling onions, fresh herbs, and a faint sweetness that teased his curiosity, and his stomach, simultaneously. He froze in the doorway, taking in the cozy chaos. Wooden tables gleamed under the soft afternoon sunlight filtering through the windows. Patrons murmured quietly over mugs of ale, the occasional laugh punctuating their conversation. From the kitchen came the rhythmic clatter of knives, the hiss of a hot pan, and the faint whiff of something -
NAME Jenna Murphy GENDER F AGE 30 ORIGIN Michigan HEIGHT 6'0 HAIR Brown EYES Brown ROLE Protector M U R P H There are three types of people in the world, Jenny-Bean. Most people are what we'd call sheep. They're happy just living their lives, and they don't hurt other people, except by accident. Then there are the wolves, who are just evil, and take joy in hurting and killing the sheep. What's the third group, Daddy? Well, they're the sheepdogs. They p

Luke, on yet another quest, looked out over a hill into a bandit hideout that had, until recently, been cleverly hidden. Even getting to this vantage point had required a lot of time to cut through dangerous flora to allow troops to make their way through it. “So that’s how they’re getting in and out,” Luke said to himself, looking down at the base of the hill. It looked like earth had been dug through, creating a tunnel. Apparently the bandits had been here for quite some time and had a well established means of transport. It was quite unfortunate that this intelligence had fallen into

Bliss was out training, wanting to test her limits. The forest was quiet. It was the perfect training area. At least until she heard shouting coming near the town outskirts. She assumed it was probably just a couple of players arguing over loot, either way it wasn't her problem. That changed quickly. A high pitched squeal came through the trees and she spotted a boar breaking through the trees. "Oh, fuck me." She attempted to dive out the way but she wasn't fast enough. The boar barreled into her sweeping her away. She clung onto the boar for dear life. "LET ME GO YOU LITTLE FUCKER!" She began

Reytac replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Beginner Floors
Reytac had been attempting to gather something when Nari shouted, and his attention immediately snapped up and towards the wolves that were approaching. He had been glad that he kept near them, since it meant that he didn't have far to travel to help back Nari up as she got her shield and spear ready. He held back, watching as her weapon flickered back and forth, puncturing into the wolves rapidly, stabbing some of them with the blade and leaving an icy tinge that spread from the wound, while others she beat with the back end of the spear, leaving them stunned and staggering in place. The pair alongside Nari had already drifted off in search of anything valuable and useful – a fact that Nari didn’t ignore. They were quick to move into the wonders of the garden, spotting the land and area for what it was meant to be; a place to locate and pile upon the richest that this world could offer. Nari envied them the moments bliss, where they simply assumed that this would be a walk in the park – pun not intended. ’Thank you, Nemo, for inviting us here. It’s as lovely as it always is. If you don’t mind, I’m going to explore a bit.’ Though friendly in nature, Nari’s words were c

’I…look, I have a confession to make. We’ve lived together, been together for a long time now. A very long time. Like, a super long-‘ Nari found herself straggling again, the words coming out too fast and too easily now, so much so that her point was being lost. She shook her head, forcibly quelling the storm of emotions, the words and the confusion that was welling up inside herself as she considered what she wanted to say. ’Not the point. The point is…’ Whatever she had wanted to say, the words were taken from her as Onora spoke first, the blonde’s soft voice cutting through anything N -
Reytac strolled back through the Town of Beginnings, listening to the hustle and bustle of the town and the players around him as he walked. Even now, when he had a house settled, he came here to just be around others – this was still the place where the most players hung out, and outside of odd events it was where he absolutely saw the most. He didn’t even think he’d managed to finish all the quests down here – he knew for a fact, now, that there was a dungeon, a heinous dungeon, hidden somewhere on this floor, but he also knew he far and away wasn’t ready for that one. But it was also cathar

’Ah…well…yeah, I guess…I see your point. Uhm…’ The words were stumbling from her now, falling out without hesitation and growing with intensity and speed as each one came. Nari wanted to shut herself up, to stop the moment that she knew would come tumbling out if she continued. Yet, like a flaming truck heading for a petrol station, she was unable to brake hard enough nor fast enough to avoid the calamity that would be downfall or firework. ’I…may have…an interest…you know, like…a thing…sort of…like a crush…or you know, that thing where you really like…uhm…’ Onora was supressing her laugh -

’Yeah, noticed. That thing that you do when you see things, even when other people try and hide them. Like actions, or emotions…behaviours, even. Any of this ringing any sort of bells?’ Onora dragged the words on, as if finding some measure of amusement in the entire situation – not that Nari could blame her, as much as she disliked the attention and teasing, a part of her wished it would never end. She wondered if that weren’t an odd reaction to have, all things considered. ’Ah…’ The word drifted on the air as Onora and Nari fell silent, the pair waiting to see who would speak first. Nar -

’Oh, so you think I haven’t noticed?’ There was still a measure of humour in the blonde’s voice, though Nari couldn’t ignore the fact that it wasn’t malicious or teasing by any means – in fact, if anything, she would almost have considered surprised if she had to label it as anything. Not that Nari was anywhere near an expert on reading other individual’s thoughts, emotions and feelings. ’Noticed…?’ Nari dragged on the topic, both wanting to hear the answer, and dreading it all at the same time. A million different scenarios and outcomes had already flashed through her mind, and although -

Where there had been a small amount of colour previously, Nari suddenly felt her face alight in flame and burning embarrassment – a beacon that would have shown bright in the darkened sky, if not for the fact that it was clearly just passed the half day mark. She stumbled over words for a few moments, trying to collect herself, before she managed to get out anything that could be considered a form of sentence. ’I don’t…know what you mean. What glances? What? Who was glancing? Where?’ Onora laughed at the flustered form of Nari, a tingling melody that was somehow calming to her nerves as s -

Seconds went by as Nari and Onora took some time to wrinkle out their bodies after the fight, pulling knots that had developed and smoothing away the majority of the after affects that always crept up upon them. Nari’s eyes couldn’t help but shift towards her partner as she considered everything she’d been thinking about the last few moments, and she was sure she was caught at numerous points – not that Onora said anything, at the time. ’So…a bit more, and then we head back?’ Onora asked. Nari gave a soft nod as she retrieved fishing rod and hook, settling herself back into a seated posit -

’Well, that was…something…were those hands?’ Onora had let her sword drop slightly to the side as the final creature erupted – not quite an unprepared stance, but one that showed the calm, relaxed state of a post battle fighter. Nari had let her own guard drop ever so slightly as well, taking the calm moment as a measure of time to recover and relax – and a time to release the tightened muscles that had begun to strain in her entire body. ’I’ve…no idea. Weird things, to say the least…’ Her eyes dropped down to the notification that appeared besiede her, and she found herself grinning as s -

Nari-Lanreth replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Beginner Floors
Nari chose to ignore the embarrassing moment, uncertain if there was even anything to be embarrassed about to begin with. They were still engaged with the hand creature – which was trying its best to escape, without any success. Nari shifted herself to its side, waiting for it to try and make another break for the riverbed, before jamming the spear forward and stabbing into the thing’s core, the flames erupting and burning across its body even before it slapped her back. The impact rattled her armour, causing little more than a minor vibration that could be considered annoying at best. S
