  1. Well at least it's figured out right

Reason I went for a long length span for leveling to posting ratio was because I honestly didn't want to see level 10 users in a single week's time. The 568 posts required to reach level 10 would presumably take anywhere from 2 weeks to 1 month to reach. Which to me is a decent amount of time for players to get to know the site, make acquaintances, and be able to help back to new users.

  2. The best means of communication is through skype though.

This was removed recently since I deemed it out of context on the profile pages.

There is also a link to the SAO-RPG chatroom on skype at the top of the page.

Far as I can tell, it doesn't work for anyone anymore. Best way to get added to the chatroom is here. viewtopic.php?f=44&t=651

  3. If you haven't picked out an avatar from the gallery, then you should choose one here.

    ucp.php?i=profile&mode=avatar

You'll find the gallery be clicking "Display Gallery". Your taken to the first folder, at the time of this post it's the folder called "AnimeSuki". There's another folder if you change the category in the dropbox. Again at the time of this post the second is "TheAvatarLibrary". Now your probably asking why are they called AnimeSuki and TheAvatarLibrary? We'll that's because those are the two sites where I found dozens of avatars to save and upload for your use, mostly because I'm too lazy to sit down and make my own for you all.

But that doesn't mean we can't add more avatars, infact if someone wants to point me to a place that has some good ones, I'll save and upload those too. Or if you like to create avatars for us to use, you can do that as well. The only requirement for either of these two options is that they must be no larger than 130x130 pixels and there must be a minimum of 12 images, I don't want onesie's twosie's.

I will however NOT reserve 1 avatar just for you. You can only have this option to you if a GM creates an event for you to participate and the prize is a unique avatar that only you may use (either created by the GM's or by the winner, up to the rules of said event).

At the time of this post, I myself am using an avatar from TheAvatarLibrary, I chose it and anyone else can also choose it. Which makes it less unique. My fellow lady administrator Nevina has a custom avatar, now she didn't participate in any event, but we did it merely for show and testing to prove the ability is physically possible.

So then, if you have a site we should take a look at or you wish to make some avatars for us, by all means share in this topic. And if you like to create some avatars, then maybe you should consider joining our staff team, we have openings in the graphics department! ;)

  4. Where do we stand on this, I know we have a form but where do we post this. This kinda needs to be settled for both plot development and for other players.

Looks like we can begin, we can use Crim's format.

Well, we'll see. Also here is the outline again so people dont have to switch between pages to see it.

    Guild Making Rules

    Guild Start up requirements:
    Minimum level of 5
Minimum player count of 4 to start up.
    Col amount:
    [/code]

Then once approved, we could format a guild main page to be:

We'll need someone to announce this important information in the guilds section of the forum.

  5. Yes I am Erroneous, provider and creator of this establishment. I been web designing games like this since 2004. While at first I used to be a role-player and story writer, over the years that side of me has weaken and quit. However my web designing and interests have grown and maintained. So that's why I'm here and that is what I do. I don't plan on going back to rp'ing so please don't offer or request. I live near Seattle Washington and I attend every anime/gaming convention in the area when I can, I bring my Nintendo 3DS with me to them, looooots of Street Passing. I'm 28 and happily married. In my spare time I play random video games, however one in particular I spend most of my time with is Mabinogi Fantasy Life. A free-to-play MMO released by Nexon America developed by Nexon Korea. It's age is getting up there, but the activity, events, and content continues to grow every week.

  6. Hello SAO fans! We host an official chatgroup on Skype for when your on the go and need to free your hands and speak rather than type i.e. playing games in full screen, it helps! This way you can stay connect with the team and your friends on your mobile devices as well. What you'll need of course is a Skype account from http://www.skype.com and the Skype software either downloaded on your Mac or PC, or on your smartphone via Android and iOS. If you have a Skype account and don't want to share it, then you can always make a second Skype account just for this group and these friends.

And every Sunday we'll try to host a call so everyone can meet each other and introduce themselves to each other. You can opt to leave from the chat group by selecting the option Leave Conversation from the chat window.

    Enjoy!

  7. Hello SAO-RPG fans! December is almost over and here's your newsletter for

the month and end of the year.

While SAO-RPG had a very long inactive status by the community, this month

things blew up with 300% activity from everyone across the board. The

shoutbox averages 50 pages a day, on average you can find 1 full page of

new posts, after removing all the spambots and been spambot free for 3

weeks now we have a total of 328 users as of this message. And we gained 4

more new Game Masters to help develop the site, giving us a total of 6 Game

Masters! Congrats to Zero, skr975, Shark, and Kay.

The Role-play has been on-going and active by the players. People are

getting creative with their characters and background story development.

The Game Masters are hard at work developing new events and ideas to making

    things interesting for you all.

EDIT: Official Community for SAO-RPG http://steamcommunity.com/groups/sao-rpg/

  10. Yes we are still very much in need of having an established staff team here at Sword Art Online RPG to help keep the ball (game) rolling. Always remember absolutely no webcoding or designing is necessary, just you and your time, daily activity, and people skills is all that really matters most.

To take an exert from my previous post seen here.

    Hello users!

This is the early stages of our Sword Art Online RPG community and we will obviously need a well endowed staff to help build this project. What we need are thinkers, creators, developers, artists, team players, organized plotters, innovators, and fans to fuel this staff into creating a fully immersed SAO realm. This whole project is purely web only, meaning there is no game to download, no master programmers or coders needed, no software needed to help develop this project and move it forward. All we need is your wits, your skills and talents, your time and flexibility, your devotion, and your sense of fun and support. Now obviously artists will need a computer with some sort of drawing software and or a peripheral device to help them draw unless mouse is preferred; but you probably wouldn't have the skills and talent for that if you were already experienced, so nothing new for you to bring to our table.

There will be various positions laid out, however administrator which is the known term on the web and forums for "owner", "creator", "leader", or "founder" will not be given so easily unless you earn it or actually started it in my case. You'll have to work hard in one of the other non-admin staff teams to be noticed and chosen to be given administrator access and permissions.

You'll also note I've removed the forum standard coined term "moderator" from here, in SAO what we refer to as moderators on a forum, MMO's have whats called Game Masters or GM's for short. Here on this community GM's will serve as duo positions both moderation over the forum and its users, but also event coordinators and story leaders.

We will hold many opportunities for you to join our team, positions will be posted below and to apply you must contact me with the position you are requesting. If you feel up to a challenge, you may apply for multiple teams.

    Player Support Team

    • The Player Support Team (PST) will be the group of people who answer all questions about the site. These are the first people you go to if you have any type of question at all. These group will prime players as future GM's and will be the first ones looked at if a spot is opened. However there are requirements to join the PST. Applicants must apply to Shark

    Game Master

    • Responsible for the conduct and mannerism of each player on this site. Also handles the main story line and tone of the role-play, acts as the chief decider over players stats, establishes the game's rules all users must abide and enforces them. Develops quest or events for players to participate in to keep things fresh, original, and interesting. Works to give to the players, not to themselves; their position on this team will be determined by how happy and engaged they can keep the players of this feel as a whole.

    Graphics

    • Assists with the forum's appearance, logo's, icons, and necessary imagery used both by the site itself and the game masters storyline, events, and background story or lore. Should be able to supply various artistic styles and formats to meet the needs of the site. (If we adopt a dynamic avatar system, will require to create image sprites for the avatar system).

    Sword Art Online 2D

    • The SAO 2D staff team is a separate team from SAO-RPG that is lead by Shark. The team builds areas for players to have fun and battle as well as be lazy. Events are also made and rewards are created. If you would like to be apart of this team, please contact Shark with which position you would like to join.
    • Developer, Mapper, Moderator

We are still looking for SAO 2D Staff members. Game Masters are currently ok but if you feel like you can be a significant impact then feel free to apply. (GM Applications go through myself and Shark.) I would like to have eventually new administrators too, however you need not apply directly to that position. I will be looking at Game Masters as potential promotions based on individual GM's activity, leadership, friendliness, communication, and teamwork.

And if you feel there's a staff position this site could use that you feel excel in doing (marketing, blogging, vloging, newsletters, etc..) then feel free to mention them as well.

    Cheers!
