"Perhaps." a simple response, to the rhythmic pounding of a door. There was to be a reckoning, but the motivation was directed toward whom? Either way, Rosa and he would share conversation either through words or inspection, and Riker's Edge would have found slumber. The nomads intentions were as absolute, as they were fair. Unfortunately the pair were at an impasse, but not for reasons that Raidou had suspected. Rosa like so many before her assumed his stance as foolish, and yet couldn't fathom the end or the big picture. So many believed that justice was strong enough alone to support its ow

Focused Howl CD [2/4], Concentration CD [1/5] The weight of her leg increases and blasts past Raidou's defenses, colliding with the floor and causing spires of stone to vault up. Each member of the party would feel some instance of impact as it rung out like an earthquake. A quick eye to respective HP pools, and with it, ire. Eyes flush red, and like a maelstrom, Raidou rends through the beast. A parade of red tethering, peeling from the carcass of the massive black dragon, like connected twine. Armor shatters just that much further, and blindness fully sets in. It would be clear that Rai

A wave of heat, while Shiina was screaming an unintelligible babble and wiggling a damn weasel. Freyd was spitting and working some of it out of his mouth, and Raidou couldn't help but perk up an eyebrow. This was quite an odd display, one that caught him at an obtuse angle. Battle hardened warriors, who on one hand slaughter enemies with absolutely minimal effort. But on the other, complain about the splash or the smell. Such was humanity. A subtle twist of a blade, rushing the remaining down. Where others were driven by feeling, Raidou was absent for all but senses. A splash of steel as it m

Complete silence, taking in Violets understanding far beyond the veil. She was more than on point, and it was quite refreshing. So few were able to understand others on a deeper level, so very few. There were some holes in her logic, but they were by choice that it was omitted. "I find that, typically, people are only honest with me when they want to stab me." Raidou remarks, lifting the glass, a still half finished meal littering the table before them both. He reaches to the glasses on his nose, removing them and folding them away. His anchor gone, a sea of memory sucking him down into the de

Focused Howl CD [1/4] Slam after slam into Raidou's blade, the thing was very clear on what it wanted to kill. Sparks fly after every successive blow, and Shiina is caught in the crossfire. A single glare over the red wanderer's shoulder sees her drop like a sack of loosely collected grains. Raidou recoils and pushes it back, as the others swing away and begin to actually start leaving a dent. This was much more the speed they needed, a silent stare past his shoulder toward Eruda who could offer the voice of reason. His glasses gleam in the somber lighting, the blade the same. Ripping it

With the simple action of a door opening, Raidou catches a familiar face. Although never introduced personally, Jon had expedited the girl from the room. In this the wanderer was grateful, as it appeared as though this was going sideways quickly. But it was what he was more than accustomed to, after all most met him with the same resistance. The tension was so thick it was almost solid, hung in the air like a stink. What was supposed to be a simple meal and a gentle shove toward a dream ended up nothing short of a nightmare. But it was with these little exchanges, that progress could be made.

In the sudden burst of red, the eyes of the massive matriarch begin to gloss over in white as the pupil vanishes. What is left is blindness, for all but the swordsman in red. The intensity shared between the two, as Raidou stood off against the beast. It lunges and lifts a heavy talon filled appendage. It slams against him with surprising ferocity, causing his robe to flail about aggressively under the wind pressure. But he stands strong, the light show and the slight shaking of an outstretched hand. He was matching its strength with his own. "Lay it to waste, now is not the time for hesitatio

Water shakes with a sudden splash, a bit of moisture clung to a black boot. That same flowing drape of red, mixed with the slight hint of the same parading through the air. A contained fury met with a goal. To fully prepare for the coming tide, Raidou would accept no substitution. There had been talk of something to increase his and other tank's capabilities, and he was always about an edge. Before it was the black blood of a skeletal lord that he'd driven to nigh extinction on the regular, but a tide of black that mirrored it made anew. "What do you suppose, can't be much further now." The se

ID:200928 | Battle:4, Craft:10, Loot:17 (Endless Maze, No Spawn) Low-Light Penalty in effect [-1 ACC] A sudden overcast shadow looms overhead, the way to the prospective tower easily spotted by a man who had traveled floor after floor in isolation. He was well versed in discovering and navigating, new or not. "There." Raidou shifts his attention upward, a single set of giant wings. Correcting his lenses, and holding them in place, he rips his right hand out in front of him. "Bring him to me, Juiblex!" A writhing mass of black ooze forms a coiling and winding tether in black. Grappling lik

The soft clatter of his heel, the rhythmic clicking upon stone. A crimson red robe swaying with every step, at his back a parade of guild members that had proven their worth and capability. With a raid on the horizon and the promise of strength held within, Raidou's intentions were clear. There would be a slaughter before the day was through, a necessary requirement to bolster their ranks just that much further and provide just one more edge to reduce risk. "It's through here." Raidou quips back to the party, a routine gathering of faces he'd more than become accustomed. Evidently this wa

A slight tussle of his glasses, ignoring the man's fervor near feet from him. As it turned out, Raidou did not scare, and to some that was unsettling. "For a moment, if you will, see this from my perspective. I had not a single idea there was a familial bond between any of you, and this girl." A single gesture toward Mina who was still conked out completely. "Finds me in a field, and despite her earnest intentions showed some serious hardship. Naturally I would assume the source close by. I could feel it as if the blade was being dragged across my own skin." Back to that cup he held as another

"Needed to." Raidou corrected the idea, as there was still some room on that front. A match in intensity, the strongest tank in Aincrad with a strange muddy mixture of purple on his eyes. The backdrop in its soft orange glow doing well to accent the light from the pair's eyes. A simple glance to the dagger as he looked past a risen cup of tea, as it would appear his show of good faith was unnoticed. No matter, it spoke a bit to their intentions. "Not an appraiser myself, but I know a few." Pressed to his lips, an unsweetened sip as he kept that fury contained. "As do I, This world is full

A small twist of a pair of chopsticks in his hand, another cube of meat still clutched in between, before it's offered to his mouth with a simple flourish. "The same to you, Rosa, I must say I am impressed and humbled to be wrong." His eyes scan the room, a pair of glasses just picking up the soft glow of a burning flame. "There are no healers to the ruthless, Glenn, your motives speak leagues for the Deck." His vision shifts to Mina, still slumbering with the softest of escaping breath. "She really is so enthusiastic, so pardon my concern. That enthusiasm may have led her to abuse, I needed t

A bit curious, as the soft light of day played upon his book. "I wonder how it's playing out." He comments now a fair margin through the margins of the ledger. A slide of his hand, a few more taps of the screen. A back-up just in case there was a failure that needed to be contained. It was surprisingly easy to keep betrayers under his thumb. Promise of wealth, or threaten with fear. To each their own motivator, and with his set of self taught skills it was easy to read. The book was a bore, and he still couldn't find a way to relax. It was starting to become clear why. Even still, page af

A coy smile, as messages came in one after another. It seems they were failing to put the woman down. A single response typed out without a bit of concern for these wolves wearing people skin: From: £ᏗፈᏋᏝë̶̛̥̤̗́͋͐̈͋͆́͘̚Ꮥֆ ᄂᎧɿᕲ To: Yuyang ᎦᏗᎥᏝᏬᏒᏋ ᏇᎥᏝᏝ ᏁᎧᏖ ᏰᏋ ᏖᎧᏝᏋᏒᏗᏖᏋᎴ, ᎦᎥᏁᎥᏕᏂ ᎥᏖ ᎧᏒ ᎴᎧ ᏁᎧᏖ ᏒᏋᏖᏬᏒᏁ. It was off, and it would certainly convince him to continue his assault. After all, he'd be eaten if he didn't comply. The red wanderer looks into his glass, losing himself in the soft green shade. He was absolutely at peace, while elsew

Milling about after the high pitched squeal that peeled from Rosa's lips, the boy cut through without much issue. There was both a mix of tradition to some, ire to others. You could really tell who was who in the crowd. All the ones that were not part of her standard fare seemed perturbed having to wait in turn. Even payment didn't render them in a line, an interesting show from a host. Where patrons eat second to family. What the wanderer sets his eyes on, most he'd only just visioned but never partook. This was clearly something more western in nature, a far cry from the realm he was from. A

Concentration Refreshed, Focused Howl CD [3/4], Parry CD [2/4], Parry Begins to Fade, ID:200368 | Battle:4, Craft:7, Loot:4 (+8 EN) Reeling from an entire wave of destruction, blades of all shapes and sizes forming a uniform and undivided front. Standing with a soft sway of his robe, an intensity as if he knew more than he let on. Winding back, a single last ditch effort from a beast with no where left to run. "It's over." Raidou remarks as his legs immediately shift, the tapestry on his back and with it what it represented. Something so much larger than them all, something so massively l

With the boss's health dwindling, and Freyd already after that same foul creature that he had been seeking for some time. His fellow captain would have all the time in the world to seek out his foe, for this was over. Freya had it pinned down, and it was all too easy to finish the job. An electric spark flies down the length of Auric Sol, and an overhead toss sees it fly like a knife. Right through the stomach with enough force to carve clean through. A discharge off as if a fork in a light socket. The body jerks and convulses violently, halting once death had been met. Left impaled by the bla

As Hanma made her leave, The red wanderer left that single wide grin on his face. No one had ever seen him wear it before, save a few select circles. It was by design that it didn't. "Aincrad Police Department, Celestial Ascendants, The Deck, Azure Brigade, Ebon Vanguard... The list goes on and on. All vying for attention from one another, all hoping to achieve something they know nothing about. If you don't like the world, it is how you perceive it, and you can change it just...like...a....potion" He spoke to his cup, alone, save the single barkeeper. "Who was she?" Raidou picked up his glass

Milling about in a time forgotten, leaving his thoughts to travel and yet trying to keep them anchored on this single point. It was as difficult as ever, and his struggle normally flew past completely unnoticed. It was something that composed him, something he'd become more than accustomed to. For others, forgetting was so easy. For the red wanderer, every moment played back as if it had just happened. Murders, exploitation, sorrow and sadness. Fear, regret, turmoil and betrayal. Down a hand, a rake of his fingers across ripe and well developed green leaves. Something so real and yet it w

In A pause of his hands, Raidou moves his hand to his face and removes the glasses that kept things contained. He exhales gently, resting his mind on this single point in time. Trying his best to keep himself anchored in that one pinnacle moment where a plan was made real. Laying it out in his mind, making sure the choices he'd made were the correct ones. No one seemed the wiser to what was to become, and no one had truly breached the walls he'd formed up around that production. The actors were where they were set, and strings still tethered to his fingers and moved when they were needed to. I
