      I have a suspicion that Shirosu meant to ask if the Gemini would have 5 mitigation if she herself had 5 mitigation from Rank 1 of an armor skill. I believe according to the quest information, that would be the case, but confirmation never hurts.

      In that case yes as specified, they have a vanity copy of your equipment so that skill bonuses activate, also as described in the quest.
