  1. "I've had quite enough practice to figure out this two handed straight sword, but I can say that I do need to break this new one in."

Following along side his samurai brother-in-arms, they appeared to be in a den of thieves and miscreants.  Apparently, Baldur had got some very important dungeon maps recently that applied to the whereabouts of this particular group of assassins.  There were a few dark elves that sprung out of the shadows to stop their attempts, but the speed of Baldur's blade made them a trivial thing.  As the rubble that would break from the upper terrace fell down around them, the hunter shrugged.

"Let's not keep them waiting any more than we have, then!"

Seeing as this was a third tier dungeon, if this was anything like the sub-dungeons from before, then the hunter was prepared to summon up his strongest sword art.  Running over to a closed door, he could immediately sense a couple enemies on the other side, through his search / reveal / detect combination.

    "Knock knock!"

He would call out while raising his leg to kick down the door.

    "Who goes there?!"

Slamming his foot down, the activation for Galaxy Destroyer would set in.  The door would swing open while the large arc of his sword would cut through the doorway, slashing one of the oddly cloaked dark elves on the other side.

    "The door!"

Unfortunately, the one that answered the door was flung away from the impact of his blade, just in time.  He was spared from the deep gash that the other extremist would have, but all were still alive.

    'Not nearly enough.'

  2. After talking to Anthony the final time, it didn't seem like the sun colored man seemed to have anything else for him.  It disappointed the hunter, cause he wanted to continue the fishing venture; however, it seemed that one had to set their sub-profession within their shop before they could do anything else.  It was a crying shame, but there was nothing else that he could do.  He had used up his time on the first floor to perform this simple quest.  Hirru thought that he was gonna be there much longer than he really was.  Maybe there was something about his luck that his memories were more than speculative of.  Either way, there wasn't much else on this floor.  He could've looked around the old haunts of the floor, but it wasn't great for a front line player to be walking around the beginning town, especially one that may have a more infamous history.

He decided to quickly move through the Town of Beginnings without a glimpse towards any other area, before looking on to the warp zone.

    "Fortaleza!"

  3. "Wait, what?"

The hunter was propositioned to join a guild that Baldur and Shield had brought together out of nearly all of the most infamous players in Aincrad, including the mass-murderer Mari.  If it wasn't for the fact that Hirru had a brotherly relationship with another mass-murderer, Teayre, then the hunter would think that Baldur had lost his own marbles.  Everyone deserved redemption, as the samurai stated before, and he was willing to lend people a hand with it.  This man was crazier than the hunter ever thought, and it made him happy.  He wasn't the only crazy one around.

Smiling hard, he gave a slight chuckle.

"I would love to join you guys, but after I get a couple things settled."

He ducked around the corner to find something weird.  Nearly all of his search skills and modifications were alerting all at once.

"Baldur, I know I asked you up here, but what did you bring me to?  It looks like a dungeon?"

  4. Hirru listened well about what happened when he left the frontlines.  It seemed that what Hestia had said was true, there was a heavy divide when he left.  He gave a heavy sigh before continuing to listen in.  With his recent venture with Hestia, he could confirm that whatever caused that divide seemed to faze her, but by how much he couldn't say.  He dealt with his own pain first, and revealed a heavy part of him that the hunter had only told a small amount of people.  He would probably have to reveal it to a few more, if his advice was to be trusted.

While talking about the events leading up to the 25th raid, the hunter was astounded to hear that they had pulled off something that hard.  Communication, even during the best of times, was hard to do.  Getting everyone buffed up and finding the resources for said buffs, this Raidou must have quite a following to put that all together.  He would need to look into their services.

"That's good to hear!  Glad to hear that you gathered quite the team for such a dangerous act.  We're going to need that much coordination, and more."

    The hunter went on.

"If this update, or patch as you say, has reset everyone down to a max level thirty one (31), minus all this Paragon bull, we can expect quite a bit of fresh blood that wish to join the front.  They'll think that because they are level 31, that they can join the top.  It's not like before where a level forty plus was minimum for survival.  Most of us are now at the precipice to interact with the front, but we have additions that they don't.  They need knowledge, training, and resources, as well."

Hirru's face was stern, but concern was heavy in his eyes.

"We can't let these new players come in without prior knowledge of what to expect.  We may have well more than just 4 full squads, and our teams would have to accommodate that.  Each needs proper equipment and items"

Even with an existential crisis around him, the hunter was a strategist at heart.  He lived and breathed the information around him, and would spit out issue and solutions that could be relevant.

"Although, I know I would do great to join back, but I would just be another divisive obstruction.  I'm sure there are quite a few players that resented what I did.  That would only cause a larger divide, if young blood come in to an ever present schism"

A certain silly two handed sword user came to mind, clad in his intricately made armor.  Mac's face when the 23rd raid ended was one of disappointment and failure.  He was the raid leader then, and Hirru had hurt not only his trust, but everyone else that would think that the Blood Oath, was nothing more than a joke.  Hirru looked up to his health bar, and the absents of his once proud guild symbol hurt him more.  The hunter couldn't handle facing the man, nor the commander, and abandoned it all.  Everything that he swore, all those that died.  He left behind.

"I need to gain more trust before that can happen.  I need to talk to them myself.  Even if they don't believe my words, they need to know why.  I've already talked to Hestia, but I guess I didn't need to."

He shook his head.  For some reason, she had agreed with him saving the child, Durares, but not for the same reason Hirru did.  She believed that we couldn't just kill NPC's or else they would lose empathy, or something along those lines when they finally exit the game.  It was ambitious, but Hirru had to tell her why he did it.  That he felt everyone was real.  A moral dilemma for a few, but a risk that he couldn't take.  That was why he did it.  That was why he failed so many.

"I need to apologize to Mac, the most."

  5. Hirru fought with the large fish as it tried to flip this way and that, trying to get away to the safety of the water, but Anthony was fast.  He grabbed the fish by the gills, using only two fingers to hold it up.

"Woo boy, that's a pretty catch there.  You're fixing to be a true fisher with this luck.  Maybe you'll be able to find your own Rainbow fish, some day."

    "Wait.. what?"

As the hunter questioned it, the fisherman would take a knife and shave off a single scale off of the rainbow fish, before letting it go back into the water.  Hirru's eyes widened.  Didn't this man ask to catch this specific fish?  Why did he let it go?  Anthony didn't seem to mind before presenting the scale to the hunter.

"This right here is a Gleaming Scale.  All Rainbow Fish have them, which is a shame really.  They are quite valuable to the right people, so they have been getting fished to near extinction."

Anthony would say as he watched several other colorful lights swim through the water.  A look a fatherly satisfaction in his eyes.  The hunter took the scale looking at its brilliance in color.

"I raise them now to help bolster their numbers.  They're basically my kids.  So, if you find a Rainbow Fish on your hook one day, just take a scale and release them.  Don't need to kill them all now."

The hunter smiled.  Anthony Gill was nothing more than an NPC that was programmed to say and do all of this, but that didn't mean that they didn't have a tale to tell.

    "I won't."

Suddenly, Anthony would thump Hirru across the back, nearly making him fly into the water.

    "That's my boy!  I knew you wouldn't."

Just as he said that, the quest menu would pop up showing that the hunter had finished the quest for the Fisher profession.

  6. There was little action that the hunter could see through the water.  That didn't seem to be right?  He thought.  The search skill with his luck based trinket should be making his luck based actions skyrocket.  He checked his wrists to find that the Spirit of the Jade Dragon and Favor of the Golden Dragon were still upon his person.  Hirru furrowed his brow while trying to figure this all out.  It was then that he remembered something with his main profession.  Throughout his time, he was not able to benefit from his own skills, mods, or enhancements.  The only thing that seemed to work, was his own ambition, which he seemed to have a lot of.  It shouldn't take too much time to get the knack for it, but he would still have to learn.

Pulling back the line, the hunter realized something, he didn't put any of the sick smelling bait on the hook.  Trying to hold his breath while applying the bait, the hunter nipped himself on his finger.  It didn't really hurt, but it didn't mean he didn't yelp.  He could hear a snicker behind him.  Anthony must be watching him to make sure he did things correctly.

After correctly applying the rancid bait, Hirru casted out the line and waited.  It didn't take long.  The bait seemed to work wonders as the bobber bop and bobbed until it suddenly sank down into the water.  Immediately, the hunter jerked on the line, and the fight was on.  It was a hard fight, as this was the first fish he had ever got.  He had no other knowledge on what to do, except to reel in.

"Don't reel in too suddenly!  Ease her in, with a gentle pull.  It took the bait, so it's your job to finish it.  Slow and steady rhythm as you reel her in."

"How do you know it's a female?"

"The bait always get's the girls."

Slowly, with Anthony's guidance, Hirru reeled and reeled until the glimmer of multiple colors would ripple from the water.  Pulling hard, the fish splashed out of the water and hung upon his line: the infamous Rainbow Fish.

    "Maybe, I am lucky?"

    "That you are."

  7. He took the hug in kind, although much more awkwardly.  There was much that needed to be caught up upon between the two, so the hunter listened well to what his old friend would have to say.  They began to walk down the main street towards wherever, the destination didn't seem to matter to the two of them.  It did matter to the groups of assassins and inquisitors that would stalk them, but they stalked everyone, so there wasn't much to go with that.

"There hasn't been much that I can say.  After our failure to secure the sahagin fight, I sort of.."

He scratched the back of his head while his grin faded a little.

"..sort of took off instead of helping, as I said I would."

Removing his hand from his head, Hirru would rest his hand on the pommel of his sword.

"I feel into a depressive state, and then there was only darkness.  Not just mentally, but physically too.  I'm told that this was when the 'Storm' happened, seemingly at the same time that you guys fought the 25th floor boss.  I'm glad no one died on your side of the deal.  We are gonna need much more new blood as we go along, it seems."

He remembered how he felt within the dark embrace that enveloped everyone.  Witness accounts seemed to make it sound like it was cold and unnerving.  For Hirru, it was.. familiar.  As if he had long since been in this state before.  He shook his head hard to get the thoughts out.  He didn't leave that all behind to come back in.

"So, what does a 'System Update' entail?  I read the small amount of information that had been given, but I understand only a little.  I remember something like this happening a few times before, but nothing to this degree.  Nearly all of the floors that I investigated have been radically changed!  Does this normally happen in games, Baldur?"

  8. With the little introduction out of the way, the hunter could focus on the intricacies of this fishing rod.  He felt like he was giving a piece of wood that was carved to look like it did something, with a few spools and wire attached to make it look like a rod for fishing.  Though, this was really the first time the hunter really held a fishing rod in his hand, that he could remember, at least.  Who knew what the real Hirru had done in his life.  He kind of guessed that he was at least 25 years of age now, or that's what some people thought he looked.  It was hard to get a good description on his own timeline, when he couldn't figure out when he was born.

Hirru walked out to the edge of the shore and threw his line out, and waited for that bobber to go down.

  9. It had been some time since the hunter had really visited the Traveling Flame.  Placing the Emerald Torch upon the ground, a large wagon would roll along to settle next to where the torch was placed.  It didn't seem to be pulled by anything, but a keen eye could see the chameleon creature that pulled the caravan along.  In the coaches seat, a purple robed man would come down to greet an old friend.

"Welcome, Rune Scribe.  What can I do you ya?"

"Set up shop, we'll be working on some appraisals."

The Mysterious Merchant would bang hard onto his large wagon, and several shelves would reveal themselves, each holding an item for sale.  Hirru would roll around the back, where he would sit down in the rear opening to the wagon.  There, he would pull out the two food items and trinket that he gained from traveling with Hestia.  Each one seemed to glow before two boxes would appear above each item.  Hirru, the Rune Scribe, would touch each one in kind, and they would flash in multiple colors as the system began a random sequence for each and every one.

  10. Baited Harder Than Diamonds

One the first floor, there is told of a new quest line for Earning a Living, that allows for sub-professions; an secondary profession that can be gained along side ones own professional occupation.  There were only two of them, but they seemed to be the only way to gain the appropriate unique materials to create demonic quality items and unique enhancements guaranteed.  Many players were now clamoring for these sub-professions, which would prove much more lucrative in the long run to all that would apply themselves.  This was an opportunity for all to expand into the world of the front lines, and the end game.

That was what brought Hirru, the Jade Hunter, to the lake edge where this profession quest was supposed to reside, he was pleasantly surprised to find the rather burly but young man that would come over to greet him.

    "Ah!  Anthony Gill, I presume?"

The young man would give a large grin before patting the hunter's shoulder.

"Ay, that I am.  Let me guess, you were looking for some old grump with a peg leg, weren't ya?"

"Not exactly, but I'm sure you'll do nicely for what I need."

"Well, what can I do for ya?  Need some fishing lessons?"

Hirru would nod to the Anthony before being pulled in for a headlock.  There wasn't much the hunter could do against the shear strength from this Adonis of a man.

"Perfect!  I knew you looked like you could handle a rod any day!  Now, let's tackle some equipment."

He would say as the quest window would come up allowing Hirru to accept the terms for this new quest.  It seemed that it required him to gain something called the Gleaming Scales, that were available from specific fish.  Letting go of the hunter, Anthony would hold out a fishing rod and tackle box.

"So, I want you to go out on that lake, and look for the elusive Rainbow Fish.  It'll be extremely difficult, but I got something that might bait that boy faster than you can jerk a rod at."

Anthony would say while looking from one side to another, in a secretive way, before reaching into his shirt and revealing a small tin that reeked to high heaven when near.  He would slip it to the hunter rather quickly, as if to keep prying eyes away.

"The smell may not be great to you, but this stuff is a drug to those guys.  Blessed by some stooge of a priest that I got to.. you know what, you don't need to know that.  Hook one of these onto this rod here, and cast it out to those wet boys.  When you feel the line tighten, or the bobber fall underwater, pull hard on the rod to snag the fish.  Reel em in, and bask in your fishy prey."

Hirru wasn't understanding much, but he got that he just needed to put the bait on the hook, cast out the line, and wait for something to bite before reeling in.  Didn't seem to hard.

    Was it?

  11. While waiting for Baldur to appear, the hunter would watch the activity of the people, or non-player characters that made their living here.  It had only been a somewhat short time since the hunter had been shown what these people really were.  Beings called 'Artificial Intelligence', that seemed to live and breath depending on how they were created.  These things that could only be called NPCs, they were neither living nor dead; how could anyone believe they were living.  That was what the hunter was led to believe; not by any lie or deception from anyone specific, but from himself.  His memories had left him behind for a hospital bed in the other world, where another Hirru lay dying.  Meanwhile, the hunter was risking that man's life, to continue living in this world.

When he could finally see him, the hunter could see that the azure samurai was still just as different as ever.  Everyone else would wear some sort of heavy plate armor, or some leather piece sets, but he was the only player that Hirru knew that purposely wore a haori, or however that was called.  The hunter never figured it out, but that was his aesthetic

Running up to the familiar player, Hirru would wave to Baldur before calling out to him.  The hunter's features had not changed much either; still wearing his signature single arm plated armor, green hair wrapped in a red headband, and blue-green eyes that seemed quite a bit livelier than ever.  Now, though, it looked like a larger blade and scabbard sat on his side holster.  He greeted his old friend.

"It's good to see you, Baldur.  I read that you have had quite an unusual experience.  I hope everything has been well."

  12. "Thanks, but I've done enough crying for one day.  I just remembered something a little important, is all.  Though, I think I should turn in for the day.  Too much excitement for one day.  If anything, I'll probably see how the twenty third floor turned out."

Hirru took the key from Hestia, not expecting to be put on the spot for unlocking the chest itself.  Slowly, the hunter dug up the chest from underneath where Hestia was.  When he finally got it out, the hunter put the key into the slot and awaited the bounty that it would bestow, or be attacked by a mimic.  He had heard a few players got attacked by one once.  Hopefully, he didn't have to do any more fighting today.

Opening the chest, it was filled was a large assortment of items.  It looked like some armor set, a few consumable items, a few materials, and a fine assortment of Col.

"I think this will do nicely.  Wanna head back?"

"..first boars.  I nearly died, if it wasn't for another player that helped me out."

He began recalling everything from before his time with the Crimson Blades.  There wasn't much to tell, as he didn't really venture too far from the first floor, until he ventured through the First Floor Labyrinth with Mack, Seul, and Xion.  He mentioned meeting Xion before with another player, Jevi.  Talking to the shop owner, Iggy, and her rise to now owning a tavern on the 11th floor.  Meeting a boy while having a smashing drink.  Helping a girl find her courage to survive.  All of these were the start of Hirru's journey, as he had already told Hestia the rest long before.

"It's weird, you know.  Through out all of that, people remark about my hair.  About how unusual it is.  I named myself the Jade Hunter for this hair, and my knack for finding treasure."

'You look good in green hair.  Our good luck charm.'

More tears ran down his face, but they were unconscious to the hunter.  For a slight moment, he pictured an older girl in dark pink hair, but there was no face.  Her voice was soft and sweet.

"So that's why?  For luck, huh.  Some luck that has been."

He sobbed out to himself, as he pulled a strand of his green hair down to eye level.  Through them, he could see Hestia waiting on him.  He let go of his hair and smiled.

"I'm good now, and thank you for listening to me.  Wanna try something more loot heavy?  I.. is that a chest under your foot?"

He said while looking upon Hestia.  He saw a weird glint from his search procs.

    [191090] [LD: 10+8=18] Chest Found

  14. Hirru traveled quite a bit, but he had not seen a place this far from the main town.  Lots of merchants and other professions tended to keep to the safety of the walls to safeguard them from any yellow players and mobs.  This place, though, didn't seem like it was hindered at all.  Walking up to it, the smell of fantastically made food would fill his nostrils.  He had not had a good meal in a while, but he would have to wait for a proper tavern.  Looking at the entrance, he would notice the name, "The Rolling Bite."  Cute name, he thought before knocking on the door.  It seemed like the premises was open, and someone was hard at work on the inside.

"Pardon the intrusion!  Are you open?"

His answer would depend on what Hirru did next.  If he was not open, he would leave another day.  Though, if not, he would enter to take a peek.  Looking upon the selection that was available, the jade hunter could not help to see some food that could improve his luck.  Pointing towards the Lemon Berry Palmiers: +3 LD [186761], he looked to the price and would call out to the owner / chef.

"Mind if I take these Lemon Berry Palmiers?  Always looking for more treasure out there, ya know!"

  15. A Thought About Tomorrow

It had been some time since the hunter had walked the streets of this fantastical place, but the whole thing seemed that much different.  In the big picture of the world, Kalanaes seemed to be no different than what it once was; however, the small details were evident.  After liberating the dark elves, they didn't really care about it, nor did they want to believe that their war with the sun elves was long over.  They wanted to continue believing the old lies that the Dark Elf Counsel would conjure up.  This did not change after everything was updated, and things were slightly changed.  Now, the surface had changed considerably, but the Underdark and it's denizens had not changed in the slightest.  Glowing fungal waste lit up anywhere that wasn't lit in flames.  Creatures of the dark scurried in fear from the light, but would pounce on those that braved the dark.  These were still the same, but now they seemed more monstrous and humanoid.  Loud thumps and dragging noises could sometimes be heard, warning all that danger was near.

Not much really changed, but it did seem to get livelier.

Hirru, the Jade Hunter, had made an rather eventful day with Hestia and wanted to relax in one of the only places he could now.  Even though the dark elves despised his very being, none would do anything while he wore the very pin that denoted their queen's loyalty, a silver crescent moon that he attached to his headband.   He felt the ease that this place gave, even though it was where it all went downhill for him.  Maybe it was the solace that he didn't have to hide his issue, anymore.  He had given up hiding his memory loss, deciding instead to use it to help himself and others.  He was not the man that the hunter was sacrificing every single day, but he could do the best he could to keep his life safe.

After looking into some upgraded skill sets that the hunter would require for future use, he was about to close his menu screen when he scrolled over the friends icon.

"I should send a message to Baldur.  I've been worried that the storm may have put him at quite a set back too."

Baldur, has everything been okay?  I found myself in some weird circumstances lately, and I'm sure everyone else has too.  I wanted your input on it all, and maybe discuss some venturing and looting probabilities too.  I'm on the 23rd floor, if you wanted to meet.

  16. "I.. don't know.  I still have so many unanswered questions, and answers to questions that I don't know about yet.  It's getting really confusing on what I should do."

He shrugged as he unconsciously switched his heavy armor around for a similar bracelet that he had on his other wrist, this one a topaz colored gem while the main one had a jade embedded.  It would leave him defenseless, but it was his best method to finding good treasure around the area.  This was the third tier area, so at least there would be something good that could come out of it, rather than a few col and a trinket.  The extra skill, although good, wasn't for him to use.  He wasn't a healer in any way.  He needed a little more out of this than simple answers.  He needed to vent a little more, but letting it out through his words was getting him nowhere.

"I've been fighting to keep this back, cause I thought that everyone would call me crazy.  That they wouldn't believe me.  I guess that's the same for you too, huh?  Even if you do, trust me in some degree."

Hirru would look up at Hestia with his blue-green eyes, that nearly seemed to blend in with his jade colored hair.  He had a slight smile on, but his eyes would betray a sense of worry.

"I just hope I can let everyone else know too.  Maybe in a less dramatic way!"

He gave a light chuckle, to improve the mood.  He hoped it would.

  17. His anger was fueling him at this point.  There was not much left to do, but to kill the floral beast and end it all here.  His Galaxy Destroyer was off of cooldown now, and it was time to get serious.  Applying concentration upon himself, the hunter wasn't taking any chances with letting the creature take another swipe at his fellow tank.  He wasn't going to let it entrap her in another gapping maw again.  He was not going to let this opportunity slip by.  Rushing forward, the hunter took a large slamming step forward before letting the heavy arc strike follow through, piercing through the head of the Ki'raion.  As it cried out its death toll, the hunter yelled back.

"Go back to where you came from!"

He shouted as it shattered, leaving him alone with his anger.  It was getting too much for him to just stand there.  He remembered something that Baldur once showed him.  Sitting down upon the flower bed, he lay his sword upon his lap.  He was exhausted, tired, angry, but more importantly embarrassed.  With everything that had happened, he just wanted to calm down.  Baldur had said this was meditation, but he didn't have the skill for it.  That didn't mean that the hunter couldn't use the real world version to calm his nerves.  He spoke aloud, though only to himself.

"I've learned so much, but so little.  Baldur can teach me to calm my mind, Lowenthal teaching me to learn from my mistakes; Mack teaching me to laugh even when the work is hard."

He touched his forehead to his blade.

"I've got so much more to learn."

    Abilities:

    • Tail Swipe | If BD 9-10 and MD 1-5 is rolled simultaneously, <<Ki’Raion>> unleashes a powerful tail swipe that can strike a whole party. Deals 150 AoE damage to all party members as well as normal damage to the player with the most hate.
    • Venus Fly Trap | If BD of 9-10 and MD of 6-10 is rolled simultaneously, <<Ki’Raion>> lunges at the player with the most hate and encases them in its floral mane. They experience 150 additional damage and will take 100 additional damage for each following turn that they're trapped. They are freed when at least 200 HP damage has been dealt to "Ki’Raion" or another player achieves greater hate. A trapped player may still attack.
    • Photosynthesize | Absorbing the Sun’s energy, every second attack <<Ki’Raion>> makes will be damage boosted by 150. On turns when this damage boost is not active, <<Ki'Raion>> will heal 100 HP. This heal can exceed its typical health maximum.  This ability is only available to <<Ki'Raion>> if fought during the day.
  18. The hunter didn't need to look towards his freed companion to understand that everything wasn't fine, just yet.  The floral beast was only keeping away for it's own safety now.  He had to finish this before it was too late.  Rushing to the Ki'raion's side, letting out another yell as his next sword art, but it didn't connect.  He had spent his good fortune on a false hit, and it was going to make him pay.  He just hoped that Hestia could keep up with these horrible fates that had brought them to this point.

Hirru was breathing heavily at this point, he shouldn't be this winded, but everything that had happened to that point; it was emotionally draining him.  If his mind shut down again, just like before, he would have no way to let Hestia know how much her words meant.  His anger was subsiding, but it was still there.  Ever growing from his presence within this world.  He needed to calm down.  There was no time for that now.  He needed to continue on to kill this beast.

He sighed heavily before taking a deep breath in.  It wasn't helping much..

  19. "I hate this.."

He growled.  His hands tightening around the grip of Betrayal, his blade that the game converted his sword of Loyalty to, with a stem of hatred flowing through him.

"I hate that every time I feel like I'm getting anywhere, this game wants to screw me over!"

He ran forward into the carnivorous plant beast hybrid.  Stomping hard on the ground while positioning himself.

"I've had it with this crazy world that wants to take my memories, and lock them away from me!

Betrayal began to glow a fiery green hue before flashing slightly, growing slightly darker as it charged.

    "But I especially hate it.."

He felt the sword art activate, and pushed it further beyond..

"..WHEN IT TRIES TO TAKE MY FRIENDS AWAY FROM ME!!"

The sword art, Tempest, sweeped several high arcs before crashing headlong into the head of the lions, while following the arc to the side of its mane, where it would rip through the gaping trap that would be keeping Hestia trapped.  Severing it from the body of the beast, it shattered revealing the raven tank.

  20. Hirru could only look on in horror as someone that he had divulged everything to was now being eaten alive by the living plant that was apart of the lion itself.  He quickly looked towards her stats from within their shared party view.  Thankfully, she was still alive, but it wouldn't be long for her to be overwhelmed.  After taking some solace in the fact that she wasn't immediately dying, he grabbed his blade from the ground and went swinging.

"Hold on, Hestia!  I'll get you out!"

He shouted out before trying to hit the creature in place with his Astral Hell sword art.  It was a hit.  He pushed forward, swinging like mad, trying to get his friend out.  Either through evasive procedures from the flower beast, or that he didn't have to will to continue.  It got even worse when he noticed that the <<Shatter>> debuff had finally fallen off of the Ki'raion, meaning that it's mitigation was back to it's original state.  That meant that even his next Galaxy Disaster would be reduced once again, quite heavily.

"Hestia, if you can hear me!  I don't think we can do this with the amount of energy I have left!  If I keep missing, I hope you have a teleportation crystal!  I don't want you to die!  I won't let you!"

  21. Hirru composed himself enough so that he could properly finish this off.  He couldn't do much, but what he could do was continue this quest.  There was nothing else that he could do.  He couldn't run away, although he wanted to.  He had exposed a very important weakness within him, and it was now known to many people.  He felt like fleeing, but..

"I'll help finish this, as fast as I can!"

He wanted to say, but his mind was all over the place now.  Nothing he did seemed to do anything to the Ki'raion, as it was evasive enough to step out of range of all of his attacks.  Was his mind too clouded now?  There was so much to think about and so little time to do anything about any of it.  He had to focus, but there was no way he could with the giant lion constantly evading all of his attacks.

    Or..

Was it that he was now subconsciously holding himself back.  He could clear his mind all he wanted, but another him could be pulling back?  Could that be the other him?  No, impossible!  There couldn't be any possible way that could come to pass.  Could it?

  22. Why did it have to be during combat?  Why was he balling his eyes out now, of all things?  There were so many questions going on in the mind of the Jade Hunter, that he forgot he was losing his fighting spirit.  He would try over and over again, to try and activate his sword arts, but it would be too late.  Trying to wipe the tears from his eyes would only cancel out the sword arts, as he now needed both hands on the handle of his blade, not only one.  He had tried to push through it, but he could not see.  In the end, all he could do was nothing.

    "I'm sorry.. I.."

Her words would seem to reach him in all of his tears.  Forcing his sword into the ground, he needed a second to regain composure.  He wanted to be heard, and now that he had; it felt like a small weight had been lifted.  Hestia was right.  Whomever he was on the other side, whomever that Hirru was.  He was his own man, and so was the Jade Hunter.

"I've only told Baldur, Shield and Beat this, and I wasn't this bad."

He tried getting a laugh out, but it would never come out just right.  More made him choke and cough on his own tongue than anything else.

"I've searched for so long, to find something, anything, that could help me find my memories.  My reason for continuing on in this world was just that.  I.."

He rubbed the tears from his eyes, and took a sharp breath in before letting it all out.  If only he could remember something that could help him out.  It felt weird thinking about it all.  He was sacrificing someone else's life, for his own.

"Is it okay?  For that me to sleep while I use his life, his body?"

  23. He was glad to hear her say all of that.  It would mean quite a lot from here on out.  Now, he had to convince quite a few more people to trust him, but that would be harder to do with the next question.  He mustered his strength and rushed forward.  It would take another turn for his shatter and galaxy destroyer sword arts to be fully come off of cooldown.  Instead, the hunter would burst forward from when he stunned the creature and hit it with another stun art.  This one would not stun the creature, but it was one of the only heavy damage dealing sword arts left.  The large gash left behind seemed to be cracking from where Hirru had stacked the Shatter extra skill, which meant that it was working just as it said it would.

"Thank you for being so trusting.  Though, I don't know how to say this next question without sounding mental."

His body froze while the dynamic cooldown took place, which gave him time to think about what he was going to say next.  He was really telling anyone that would listen, it seemed.

"I didn't save Durares, or the boy, because he looked and acted innocent.  I truly thought he was real, that there was a child that needed saving after being put in over his head."

His voice was starting to waver, but he had to pull through.  He opened his mouth, it felt dry.  Why?  Why now and not when he was with his most trusted friends.  Those that forgave him for being an idiot in front of everyone.  Why now?

"I thought that the entire group of dark elves in that room were real.  Every single elf and mob on that floor, I led myself to believe they were all alive!"

He gritted his teeth.  All the emotions that he held back for so long.  He couldn't do that with Baldur, Shield, and Beat.  They trusted him, but had their doubts.  He knew that first hand, as they told him such.  Still, there wasn't much to get emotional about then, as he had already spilled his fears on that very floor.  Now, after so long, someone that may understand?  He couldn't help it anymore.  At first the anger seemed to crawl out before tears started to fall.

"Can anyone follow the words of someone who thinks that?  Who doesn't have the urgency as all of the rest of the players to get through the castle to go back to their own lives outside..

..when I can't even remember who the Hirru of that side is.."

  24. "I would say that's rough, but that is supportive role, though.  Better to be there when nothing is happening, rather than need you when you're elsewhere."

He said while preparing his final attack of his rotation, Tempest.  Rushing forward, the hunter would reach the creature, but it seemed to pull away from his hit just as Hestia called out to him.  He had to use Concentration to keep his blade from missing his target and burst a bit of damage into it.  Swinging back, the hunter would deliver a quick pommel jab to the lions lower jaw, stunning it for now.

"Sorry for the Stun, but that's the last one before I can restart my rotation.  Though, my interest in your book keeping reminded me of my own.  Always obsessing over every single detail.  Even going until it drove me mad and exhausting myself to near death.  I just wanted to find something, anything, that would give me the answers that I seek."

He gritted his teeth.  Hirru would have to tell her sooner or later.

"I haven't found the answers that I wanted, but I did find the questions that I needed.  The first one being:  Am I trusted?"

His question pointed towards the raven haired tank.
