The wolf slowly circling around Nobuyuki, waiting for the moment to attack, and so does he. Once his sword shined, Nobuyuki charged in for an attack. Patheticly, the sword glided in through the air, missed the attack completely. A perfect opportunity for the wolf to strike. It latched it jaws onto Nobuyuki arm and pulled him down onto the ground. Nobuyuki took heavy damaged, but managed to get up onto his feet. He saw his life flashing him by. He took too much damage, and now his health is in the yellow zone. One more attack and he would be a goner.

Another day in AinCrad. The sun was high up in the sky, and cold morning breeze flew through the grassland of the First Floor. In Horunka village, Nobuyuki slept soundly on a bench in the village square. Slowly, he raised up from the wooden bench. Let out a yawn, he rubbed his eyes, looked around the place. A few players, one or two levels above him grouping up for a hunting expedition. Sat up and stretched his limbs, Nobuyuki walked out of the village, hoping today would be a good day.

Walking around, he found a wolf on the hill. Locked it as his target, he slowly approach the wolf, thinking of a strategy to quickly taking it down. Unfortunately, the wolf keen sense of hearing spotted Nobuyuki from a far. He dashed in for an attack. Wolves are far more agile than boars, so it easily dodge the attack. So does Nobuyuki. The wolf leaped into the air, aiming for Nobuyuki's neck. He quickly rolled out of the way, stood up to hold this ground, and waited for an attack.

Running on the dirt road, Nobuyuki finally encountered a village. "Horunka village." It wrote on the sign. "A perfect place to take a rest." Nobuyuki sighed, entered the village.he sat down onto a wooden bench near the village square. Resting his tired body, from his inventory menu, Nobuyuki tooked out a loaf of bread and start munching on it. He haven't eat for the whole day, and his body isn't really helping anything. Grabbed a bottle of water as well, Nobuyuki finished his meal for the day, then dozed off from exhaustion. He fell asleep on the bench in the village square.

"That hurt more than I thought it would. Can't let the same thing happened again or I'd be doom." Nobuyuki noted himself. He waited for his sword to glow brightly before charged into combat. The sword pierced through the goblin. It fell back down onto the ground as it shattered into pieces like a mirror. Panting heavily, Nobuyuki sheathed his sword, sat down onto the ground to catch his breath.

"God, that was too close. Too damn close." Nobuyuki panted, slowly stood up, and walked it off. He continued down the dirt road, hoping to find a place for resting.

"There! That's my chance!" Nobuyuki shouted out, saw an opening when the goblin missed him. He swayed his body around, swinging his sword a full circle, before coming back at the goblin again for the final strike. The goblin saw it coming, and dodged out of the way with ease. Without the support system, Nobuyuki movement were reduced greatly. He payed a big price for the mistake he made. The goblin thrust its sword forward again. This time, it impaled him right under the arm. Nobuyuki pushed the monster out of the way and leaped back, creating some distance between the two.

With sword steadied in his hand, Nobuyuki launched himself at the goblin again. The sword glowed bright blue, as the system carressed his movement. The blade glide through the air as it coming toward the waiting goblin.caught him off guard, the goblin ducked the attack, as it raised the scimitar and swung it toward Nobuyuki. Luckily, the goblin accuracy was terrible. It missed the stationary target by a centimeter.

"One more. One more attack should do the job." Nobuyuki mumbled, raised his sword and readied to attack. The sword glowing blue, as Nobuyuki ran toward the goblin for another attack. He delivered a downward strike, but it missed the goblin. Instead of a clean strike, he tripped over a rock on the battlefield, and tumbled onto the ground. Fallen face first down onto the dirt road, Nobuyuki was surprised that he didn't feel as much pain as he would have felt in real life. He rolled out of the way just the moment the goblin decided to thrust his sword down. "That was close. Let's not tripping over anything anymore." Nobuyuki noted himself, backing a few step away, readied for another attack.

While travelling, Nobuyuki found a stray goblin alone on the road. An easy target for the warrior. He dashed toward the goblin. Once the sword glowed the shiny blue color, Nobuyuki thrust his sword forward, aimed for the goblin body. The sword pierce through the goblin's heart. The goblin fell down onto the ground. Nobuyuki stood tall, readied his sword. The goblin stood up, gnarled at the warrior. The goblin with it's scimitar came slashing at Nobuyuki. The warrior jumped out of the way, and tumbled onto the ground. Nobuyuki stood up, and readied himself for another attack

Nobuyuki smirked. He raised his sword high in the sky. Once the blade glowing in blue color, Nobuyuki without hesitant struck the sword down onto the beast again. "Yes, this is the rhythm I needed. Three days I spent to find this. This is it." He thought as the sword struck down onto the pig. The sword sliced through the pig. It glowed brightly, then shattered like a mirror into thousand pieces. The shattered pieces slowly fade in the air. Nobuyuki sheathed his sword behind his back. He continued on running down the dirt trail. "Yes. This is it. Just need to focus on the sword glowing and the monster's attack." He thought, coming up with a strategy to fight against the beasts and monsters.

"Alright. Everything I have learned so far all come to this. I need to go and get some experience, so I can climb up this damn castle. I just need to kill the monsters. That's all." Nobuyuki said, walking out of Starting City. He looked around on the grassland. Players running and fighting beasts to leveling up. The man known as Captain Undead sprinted forward, following the dirt trails, as he ran through the hills of grass. Spotted a boar on the trail ahead, he drew his sword out. Running toward the monster, Nobuyuki leaped into the air, and strike down onto the beast. The sword slashed through the boar torso, damaged it greatly. It turned around, facing the warrior and charged at him. Nobuyuki effortlessly jumped out of the way. The boar missed it attack, and overshot itself forward. He turned around, and readied for another attack

Nobuyuki wave as he say good bye to Axel. The warrior walked away back into Starting City. For a while, he and Kouromi stood on the hill. Looked back, as Kouromi said his goodbye words and went way. Nobuyuki stood silently as his two companion slowly leave. He stood alone on the hill, looking toward the sun setting for one last time before heading off. Nobuyuki closed his eyes, took in one deep breath. "This is going to be a long journey. Will I survive?" He thought in his mind. Then, he remembered what Koumori just said to him. "Don't die on me, buddy." That's right. He isn't going to die here. He is going to return to the real world, and tell his friend, Nakahara Nobuyuki survived the death game, Sword Art Online.

The boar was just about to go after Nobuyuki, but it was distracted by a slash to the side by Axel. It let out a loud squeal, then switched it focus to the axe wielding warrior. The boat charged up to Axel, readied to attack him with its sharp husk. He swung his head to one side, as the sharp husk chipped across Axel leg. It falls back a few step, readied to attacked him again.

Finally after three days, he learned the basics of surviving in this world

Nobuyuki looked around the grass field. For the first time he have actually notice the scenery of the place, and not just focusing on surviving. The grassland is absolutely mind blowing. Never in his life, have he notice something so majestic as such. The sun setting from over the hills, small islands with houses on top. From there, he could see the Starting City. How haven't he notice something as beautiful as such, Nobuyuki thought as he stand there, awestruck. Focused back onto the objective, he saw a boar alone just below the hill.

"Heads up, one down here." Nobuyuki shout out for his teammates, and pulled out his sword. He waited for his weapon to shine, like Koumori taught, and start running at the waiting boar. "Take this!" He shouted, swung his sword toward the pig. The sword again, barely chipped the pigs tail. Nobuyuki overshot himself once again, misjudged his distance between the pig. Tumbling down the hill, he took the aggro of the boar, while waiting for his partner to attack it from behind.

Nobuyuki was certainly surprised to see Koumori decimated the boar with only a single hit. Why would a player strong like him be doing in the first floor. He must be at least five or six levels ahead of him. Nobuyuki thought, but nonetheless. He was glad that a warrior as strong as him is around. Nobuyuki took a deep breath, looked at the stray boar walking on the field. He nodded at the suggestion of attacking the beast. Slowly approach the boar, Nobuyuki held his sword tightly in his hand, remembering what Koumori taught him. He first looked behind at both his two companion, then focused back onto the wild beast. Wait until his sword glew the same bright blue color as before, and came running at the beast. His body continued to move on its own. This time, he have calculated carefully. The blade went through the beast stomach. Excitement and adrenaline pumped through his body, as Nobuyuki jumped back, create distance between the beast and him.

"Alright... Here goes nothing. All I need is to focus." Nobuyuki thought, as he stepped up and readied his sword. He closed his eyes, and emptied his mind. "Today is a new day. I will survive through this, and tell my friend, that Nobuyuki survived Sword Art Online!" Nobuyuki let out a battle roar, his sword now glowing with a shiny blue color. Facing the boar, he slowly picking up the pace. Start running, he charged at the Boar at full speed. Unlike many times before, he let his body relaxed. Suddenly, Nobuyuki can feel his body moving on his own, as the warrior strike the sword down onto the boar. He can feel the rhythm all coming to him, but unfortunately wasn't fast enough and just barely chipped the tail of the boar. Following the momentum moving forward, Nobuyuki tumbled across the ground, refocus his target on the wild pig. "I can feel it. Just a little bit faster." He thought silently in his head.

Wasn't expecting the two to eagerly offer their help, Nobuyuki sat on the ledge, awestruck. He didn't know how to respond, and sat still for a solid minute. He finally stood up, and bowed to the two strangers, said. "Thank you so much! I'm CaptainUndead, but you can call me Nobuyuki. Please teach me the fighting mechanics so I can go and beat this death game." Once he raised his head, his facial expression changed completely. He seemed much more eager, and ready for a fight, rather than the depressed expression just a few minutes ago. Today is going to be a different day, he thought in his head, clearing all the stray thoughts of him dying away.

In the moment of desperate, Nobuyuki didn't notice a few drops of tear already rolling down on his cheek. He usually wouldn't be the one who would cry every time trouble comes. But in here, it's the matter of life and death, and he wasn't ready to gave up on his life yet. When two men came and confront to him, he quickly wipe off the tears, looked up to them said. "Yeah... I'm alright. It's just that the combat system is so hard to control. I tried again and again, but my movement just doesn't seem to match. I don't know if I'm going to even make it out..."

Another day in Aincrad. Ever since the death game was announce, hundreds and hundreds of player have lost their lives just to get used to how the combat system work. From outside the town, a man wearing blue cloth armor, hand holding an iron sword dragging his body back to town. Nobuyuki sat onto the ledge of a fountain in the middle of Starting City. His head put between his legs, supported by both hand, as he let out a frustrating cry. "Gaaaahhhh!" I can't do this!"

Eyes from around the area gathered, all looked at the desperate man. His health bar blinking at the red marker. It's has been three days since he started to learn how to fight. Most people who know have most likely left Starting City, and in this desperate moment, he doubt anyone would help him. Everytime he went out of town, Nobuyuki escaped with a sliver of health left. Unlike most other game, if you die here, you die for good.

Sitting hopelessly on the fountain ledge, thoughts began to rambling in his mind. Is he going to die here? Will he ever meet his friend, family or even see the real world again? Will anyone ever going to beat this damn death game?... Many random thoughts rambling in his mind, as image of him dying in the real world flashed in his head.

Ever since he was a kid, Nobuyuki was a very creative person. Sitting in class, he would usually day dreaming of a fantasy world whit dragons, and flying cities. He drew countless of drawings about castle in the sky, flying island and many more. And for that, Nobuyuki would usually being bullied by his classmate. This led to him isolating himself in his rooms and playing video games, where he can express the feelings he couldn't in real world. Slowly, he spent more and more time in gaming, role playing and MMO. In the games, he could played as who he wanted to be, in the world he loved and dreamed off without anyone criticizing him. Even thought he was so hooked into gaming, school works and grades weren't affected, and he was qualified to joined a University in Tokyo. Moving from Fukushima, he traveled to Tokyo for a new life.

While in Tokyo, he stayed at a friend's house. Both have interested in gaming and soon, they became closer than ever. Both were into MMO, and although his friend wasn't as obsessed as him, nonetheless, they spent every night playing together. Once the new "NerveGear" was released with the new Sword Art Online, both was really exited and wasted no time ordered the game. They waited for several hours, but only one was able to buy the game. Nobuyuki and his friend discussed who should be the first one to play for a long time, and then, it was decided that Nobuyuki should played first, then they took turn playing the game until they can afford to buy another set.

"Link Start!"

Those were the words that changed his life forever .Once he logged into Sword Art Online, he was treated with things he have never seen before. The feeling of walking on the grass, holding and swinging his weapon side to side. He can feel the air gushing through the hair of his character. Everything seemed so real, it's like he's living his dream. But soon, Nobuyuki learned that this wasn't a dream, but a nightmare he's living. Things turned dark quickly, as the cloaked man from the sky told the players the news of the death game. And so, his story begins.

-Kind hearted: Although he lived his life mostly indoor, Nobuyuki wasn't heartless. He would usually tend to the weak and helpless players, protect them from PKs, and give them just enough gold to buy equipment if they didn't have enough.

-Strategist: His experiences in puzzle gaming has improved his mind. He can think of a strategy in the midst of combat, and calm thinking in chaotic moments. Even when out of combat, Nobuyuki constantly observing the environment surround him for possible strategy that can be utilize. His mind always thought of improving his strategy in combat.

-Adapting: Nobuyuki have the ability of adapting to enemy's movement and pattern, utilizing their opening and weakness to his advantage. He can see through opening gaps, finding chances, as well as looking after his team in times of peril.

-Stubborn: Living alone for most of the time, Nobuyuki like to do things his way, and if he see flaws in another's action or advice, he wouldn't mind reject it. He would refuse to follow commands of people he doesn't trust, even when they are right, as he only listen to them when there is no other option, or he have the same plan.

-Anti-Social: Throughout his life, Nobuyuki lived a sheltered life. He rarely made much social contact with his friends, and would spent most of his time playing video games. This created many problems when it comes to social interact between other people. Most of the time associating with people around him, he would get nervous, heavy breathing, and his mind would hardly make up words.

-Arachnophobia: History event from childhood has lead Nobuyuki to a serious Arachnophobia. He would usually flee from a spider, and sometime froze in fear, especially when spiders ingame are much bigger than they are in real life.
