  1. And Sey soon followed up, preparing the shields and weapons for Dagger to identify. "Ayyyyy, Dagger! We have a big request for you today! Ten perfect weapons to be identified for me and ten rare shields to be identified for the lovely lady." Now to spill all of those items onto the counter, and to throw in a rice ball on top of it all. Now for the col transaction to go through so that Dagger could have his fun, enjoying the life of being rich as Sey bled so much money for this session. Once the confirmation would be set, he would send all of that col towards Dagger before leaning back with his arms crossed. Now for them to reap the rewards of their grind.

  2. "Catch ya around, mate! Make sure that whatever you want to be, tank or otherwise, be a good one! Then we'll make sure to see you, on ze frontlines." And with that, it was a simple flick of his pointer and middle fingers off to the side and he would then move on with Hestia. A lot of loot was obtained today and he couldn't be any more proud of it. Now that he had a consumable and plenty of weapons, all he had to do was visit Dagger yet again and enjoy watching all of the unique builds fall into place. This even provided far more col than he would ever need as well. Before making it out, a simple friend request would pop up for Alec to enjoy, adding onto Hestia's pile. Maybe he'll have someone to contact in the future, connections, all in the world of business. Screw payment, the payment of actions will pay off in the long run. With that in mind, it was time to get some new items into his inventory.

  3. "Naaaah, don't commit to us like that. Join us if you want, but there's a much bigger cause than just protecting two mere players. Consider it an opportunity, if you will." And there was strength in numbers, even if their numbers were currently on the lower end. People were rather slow to take the current membership of the guild, and lower leveled players would be an addition that is appreciated. That was the end of that, now to see how this big tank would work out. Sey wasn't excited to try out tanking in the frontlines yet again, so Alec would make a perfect replacement. As for Hestia, he would just shrug in turn. "We got so much loot as it is, I doubt we will be starving anytime soon with this sort of income. All the food and drinks we could eat for... Months, maybe a year!" And though he planned to use a decent amount of it for refunding skills as he modified them to fit a DPS-style build, he would still be eating quite well with these massive profits.

  4. That was the hit he talked about and now they were done! More experience points to put on and a chance for him to spend some skill points on another modification, what a day. So many weapons to identify, the numbers to calculate, it was a thrill for him to see what results he would get from doing all this. Maybe he could focus a bit more on the energy portion since the All Might does take a lot out of him, but only time could tell. For now, he would nod his head when told to search for a chest, but there was none in sight to be found. "Sorry, love. What you see if most likely what you get, I can't find a single hint of a treasure chest anywhere." A shame, it would have been a nice final touch to the venture, more weapons and armors in their backpacks. But it was okay, they were still walking out with plentiful hands. And so that was where they ended.

  5. They were in the home stretch, maybe they could finish it off! If all went according to plan, Sey had a low chance of missing the next hit anyways. Just so long as the game continued to be good to them, maybe the man didn't need to run away. But he was not holding his breath yet, last-second surprises could be damning to the team. Now Sey just had to get a bit more damage on the monster and they could be fine. "I think I can lower that health bar, but one more hit will be needed right after!" And with that, he would aim a mighty punch towards the head of the turtle, rocking the crown that it wore on its head in the process. It would screech at the fact that it was nearly dead, but no second phase was triggered. This was a dungeon boss, every single one of these were stapled to a first and only phase, how lucky for them.

  6. The king wasn't ready to try and put the big man down quite yet, seemingly aiming for Hestia for the moment. In turn, the man was given a chance to escape, and the more he does, the more of a chance he will have to escape. But in the case where that didn't happen, Sey was going to have to brace himself for losing a bit of damage in exchange for a bit of stun. What else was this build good for? And so he would vanish quickly yet again, finding an opponent when the king attacked Hestia, Sey following it up with a punch directly on top of the head of the king. This brought the health bar of the monster further from the breach of the yellow zone. Maybe Alec might live to see the defeat of the turtle after all, but such risks shouldn't be taken. If the king went mad, they needed to bring out the newer player as soon as possible.

  7. Ruby was the one to draw first... Blood? Whatever, this machine was going down regardless of whether there are sparks flying or not. Maybe her damage was a bit on the lower end, but it was noticeable and still useful. All they had to do was make it consistent and they will be all good! "Nice! Time for me to follow through." And with that, he would leap up into the air, give a theatrical spin before slamming his fist down onto the head of the opponent. With the critical hit and charge buff applied, serious damage was inflicted onto their foe. Even better, that drill couldn't even touch him when he did this, all the hits looking so predictable, it seems like his battle healing would push him through this one. "We have the rabbit on the ropes! Keep going, we will have this fool down in no time if things keep going like this."

  8. It wouldn't be long for Sey and Alec to take the brunt of the boss as well. Sey had the ability to handle it, but Alec was nearing the yellow point already. Now it was time for him to bail if there was any time to get out. "Bail out quickly! That health bar isn't looking pretty, remember the plan!" And in case everything went south, Sey was going to have to get a grip of the boss as well. Damage was going to have to be done quickly, so he would raise his fists up and charge over. The Lord Snapper was swift, but not enough to force Sey's hand quite yet. The All Might would strike on its head yet again, reducing its health a decent amount, almost forcing it to hit the yellow zone. This was a typical boss, now they just had to make the best of it and hope that three players walked out of this dungeon alive. Now he wasn't so confident.

  9. And a taunting robot it was, considering the results of the previous attempt, they were in for a damning fight. Placing his fists up again, he would aim to avenge the fallen attempt by aiming for something similar. But instead, he would falter under the weight of fate, for Burry would soon bring out a giant egg. Before either player could react, the egg would crack open an explosion to hit the both of them within the radius. Sey could take the brunt of the hit, but Ruby's health got sliced from the attack. "Well this is a thrill in itself, but he can't keep hitting like this forever! All we have to do is continue trying, maybe we'll get lucky." Because luck was what he was riding on as of currently. A boss usually wasn't so lucky, but this was a rabbit, so maybe he should not be so surprised. Whatever, they were still in this fight. And so they continued their dance.

  10. "To follow up with what she said, this game is about surviving. Get that hit in and bail, heroes are the first ones to die. But a survivor will find themselves gaining far more." And with that, they would encounter the boss! A giant Snapper with a crown on it's head. They must have had a whole society to be having crowns, and it was mighty angry with the group for the genocide of all the turtles. It was once a grinding session, and now it was a search for the blood of those who tainted their grounds. Sey's lips would form into a smile, but one of confidence instead of genuine sincerity. The next moment, he would vanish and aim a devastating punch towards the head of their enemy, reducing the massive health bar a decent amount. "Oh yeah, this one isn't a soft boy in the slightest. Get ready to endure!" The dance begins.

  11. The man decided to get his chants out in the form of a song. Did they have a secret bard on their hands? Someone should give him a banner so that he could be the one to boost the morale of the ones on the battlefield. It would be a nice aesthetic instead of someone just waving around a flag, the latter seemed too tame for such a role. "Whatever gets you a boost, thank you for enlightening us with your medley." Sey replied calmly. Such a massive voive, such a tune with a heavy tone. He could already hear the next enemy shaking at the thought of the encounter. "Though if there are any threats to your health, we will pull you out. In case you wish to stay along for the fight. Some encounters... You might want to wait a bit on."

  12. The comparison to Dagger was nice for a much different reason than expected. It was more a comment on his luck, then came an offer to take a stone or a pebble. Did it actually stack with his current things? Sey would tilt his head to the side for a moment to ponder before then nodding it. "Thanks, and I'll definitely take it. Keep helping players and your level will be high up sooner than you think. Take this dungeon for example, I know you will be leaving this place with at least a level or two after this." And with that, he would take the lucky stone for himself. Maybe it would add onto his luck, that would be bliss for the scouting portion of his build.

"Wait, what!? Oh no way, of all the col we got, we have sooooo much pocket change coming out from the items even if we got every single one identified. Though the amount of times we would have to grind the Witch's quest..." Just the thought gave him a headache, it was just annoyingly simple. Maybe they could use a map there to kill time while they were at it.

  13. "Ay, whatever helps you out, you'll get there once the third tier happens. Though if you coud go fishing for unique enhancements, definitely try it out. Try the flame or frost auras, I heard they protect quite well. If you were a tier higher, I could trade you a certain armor that might help you with that." Sey had little use for it these days, it mitigated damage well enough but it wasn't anything special since he had to get hit for it to be fully functional. Being a DPS player, that was something he would rather avoid doing. Now it was resting time, for Hestia's health and Sey's energy were in a critical state, they would not be fighting any big boss at this point. Deeper inside the dungeon would be a glowing treasure chest, easily obtained for those with the luck enhancements, seems like they found themselves a decent treasure indeed. "Wouldn't you know it, guess who found a treasure chest."

  14. Taunt and fighting spirit were too good, Sey remembered racing poor Hestia with that in order for her to keep her hate because he didn't have his fighting spirit refunded yet. All those good times, but now they were out of that. Alec missed, typical considering the nature of the game. Hestia wasted no time to reassure him that it was normal as well, so then comes the fact that they got yet another map. If Sey's eyes could roll any further, they would be staring at the back of his head. "Out of all the useless-..." A map, come on now! Whatever, they could start giving maps out or something, he would rather do that than deal with these stupid maps on his own. They were experience points, yes, but they took so much time as well. At the very least, he could try to make up for it by charging towards the last Turtle. One punch was needed to cause the decimation of the metallic enemy, forcing it to cough up a decent amount of col and some weapons as well. "And just like that, we at least got some useful loot."

  15. It seems like a whistle came right after, one of approval if the timing was anything to go by. And while his AoE damage output wasn't where he would like it to be, he could appreciate the attention! Sey would return the nod with a calm grin, this man wasn't half-bad in the slightest. A bit low on the numbers, but he was humble despite being so ripped. People like this, these were the ones he needed to have in his circle. If there was anything to make up for the fact that he lacked the damage in his eyes, it was the fact that he could never miss, no matter how much the system wanted him dead. They were having trouble before and now they were killing it. All they had to do was keep this consistent and they would find themselves approaching the big boss himself in a short amount of time. How lucky, single targets will regret crossing their path, Martial Arts was extremely unforgiving of those who stood alone. Speaking of which, he needed to soften up the metal turtles so that Hestia could finish the metal ones sooner than later. The DPS loss wouldn't be there either. And so he would aim a powerful wind-filled first towards one of the metal turtles before giving it a harsh kiss to the shell. An explosive impact that brought that health bar into a critical state. One more to go. "There is more DPS gain if I stick to solo targets, make sure to clean up, guys."

  16. The man swung that axe around like it was nothing, add a bit of base damage and it would have easily been comparable to Sey's... And there was a tier difference. No way in hell was this guy going to be a slacker on the frontlines. Though he definitely was a bit too high with his hopes, perhaps a father was meant to be? Sey knew far too little, it wasn't like he planned on having children anytime soon. Like-minded people? Uh... Well... Uh... Poor guy was in for a treat, that was the least that Sey had to offer. If one was cold and calm, there was one that was fiery and feisty. If there was one that was insane, there was one that was completely numb to it all. And that was just four people. The new guy would probably be the most normal addition to whatever this guild was supposed to be. But he would let Hestia go on first, she could reassure him better than a realist could. Except... She didn't. "Well, uh... No worries. I doubt we have any real restrictions. Just don't die? I think I like all my players alive, but the jury is still out on that."

It was advertising and marketing, but Sey wasn't making profit, so he would probably just be blunt about the situation. Maybe it would have been a better idea to focus on the turtles instead. They were slowly weakening, thanks to the help of the other two, but now it was time to add a bit more to the pot. Another charge was applied and his hopes would be high in the damage that it inflicted, for it would be a DPS loss to use them on the metal ones when he could just single target them. Time will tell. Maybe it was just best for him to shut up and do some damage, that plan never failed him before. And so he would, following up with Hestia before swinging a massive gust of wind with his leg towards his targets. Success~. Now to sit back and listen to the two talk further until a chance for him to intervene came to light. And so the cycle goes on.

  17. An older guy, one that probably did not fancy technology, he ended up in this sort of world. Oh the wonders of technology, out of all places for such a thing to happen. Sey merely shrugged when the big man began to apologize for something that more or less didn't really matter. Maybe there was just a lot of pride to protect or something. "Go easy on yourself, boss. Welcome to the game, newer players arrive on the spot daily. Though I guess the 'gamer' tag suits anyone since we are all playing this twisted game anyways." How lovely for both of the tanks to relate to each other. And while they had that chance to bond with each other, Sey's purple orbs would lock onto the next set of enemies for them to take on. A lovely set of feisty Snappers, they seemed to be accompanied by two bigger turtles made out of metal. As if such a dungeon should have any less to be expected. Fine fine, they were nearly done, right? Whatever, he would just vanish for the moment before giving them a harsh kick towards the other duo. "Enjoy some free rewards."

  18. "We'll welcome you, gamer. Just make sure whatever you do, make sure to be a good one, and the game will reward you heavily." Sey would add on before looking back towards both of the enemies. They were dead, seems like nothing  for the lot of them. Though they did take a little longer, though that was not the fault of the man with the tanking dream.  Well since they are done, they may as well rest. At least, while they do, Hestia would aim to heal herself before they started the second stage of the dungeon. Probably harder stuff, who knows? And then the player returned with a nod to Hestia, agreeing on the whole healing thing she wanted to do. Did one dare object against a tank? He would then look back over to the last turtle, it looked like it was ready to just end it all with how few pixels were left in that health bar. If only he had just that much more damage.

  19. "Predictable... Yet so annoying. And here comes the storm..."

And the storm came, both ice and heat came into the fray. Being the one to take the hits from the enemy, he would find his skill slots and actions locked, there was nothing he could do when he desperately needed to howl. How nice of Ariel to throw him a potion before, now he could take the heat of the Scald. But so does she. And so did Zandra. This may have been enough of an answer, Sey would place the tip of his pointer and middle finger against his head, good ol' finger guns. Things were not looking too good, but he just can't balance hate with his health at this rate. It even seemed like Zandra went idle for a moment, so he was trying to find a way to handle this balancing act.

"Zandra, I'm going to need you to take Leviathan's eyes or else we're going to have DPS blood on our hands." Because no matter how many times he tapped howl, the skill was frozen in a block of ice, there was no escaping the fact that he had to step down from the tanking stance. Fortunately, that was what an off-tank was for. Minimized damage, absolutely. But maybe they'll switch when she hits a Segment or something, he didn't know. Her health was in stable condition, his was nearing the yellow yet again. So many risks, so little present rewards.

But there was still a segment, there was still an orb, there was still an answer to Leviathan. "Whoever hits that crystal gets a cookie, but only one person can hit it." There was a reason why it was slippery in the first place. Would they listen to that? Hopefully, that was their best chance at getting energy and minimizing the risks of bringing adds. Sey paid too little attention to what happened to party 2, so that was still the assumption he was going under. It was a huge longshot, but if somehow all three of the DPS players on their team manage to survive the frozen check and hit their targets, maybe... Just maybe... They could have their segment popped.

  20. Why, wouldn't he make a great tank? A Warrior type by the looks of it, or perhaps this was just another case of the "Gentle Giant". A healer, that would fun interesting to witness. But imagining him as a DPS would be something to send chills down his spine, just the mere impact alone. Strength was just an illusion, but if one didn't get intimidated by a mass size of a damage dealer, there may as well be nothing to fear. Hestia spoke of being a guide towards those who need it, which came with good intent, but he could see repetition of the phrase getting on the nerves of the likes of those who went solo. "Ay, may as well if we ever want to get out. It's been a good over half of a decade and we are still here. It would be jarring to wake up as an adult as it is, I would hope to not have missed most of my youth by the time we escape." Didn't they have to deal with some turtles or something? There were three, but two of them looked ready to be popped for some loot. And so he would step down, eyes locking onto the three before swiftly disappearing with the wind. He returned a second later to delivery a kick towards their shells, knocking them over to the other two players to finish off.

  21. Huh, so the big guy actually pulled some weight for the group. His damage was pity damage, but it wasn't mitigated to 1. Quite the opposite in fact, he was able to make a noticeable mark on the health bar, maybe enough to make some long-term damage count. It would be nice to know that all of his energy didn't have to be deplted early on. At this point in the fight, usually Sey and Hestia would have the enemies downed in the next part. But unfortunately, that was just wishful thinking with these increased health bars. "These are angry, probably blindly fighting their best and hoping that it does more. But it is annoying for them to seemingly have a bigger health bar, it looks like this won't be our typical grinding sort of mob." Which was a bleeding shame since he already missed that sort of speed. What the both of them spoke of the guild made little concern, mainly since he's not the leader. It was a side job for him, granted, one he did take a bit of interest in.

  22. The poor guy just wanted to get stronger, that ambition should get him there someday hopefully. It made him feel a bit of sympathy, but that soon needed to be brushed to the side! There was a dungeon to be explored. "Whatever you feel you can put in, we'll make sure to handle the rest." Sey explained, only for the party to soon hit what seemed to be their first roadblock. There were four nasty-looking Snappers, all of whom seem rather angry at the players for not just disturbing their dungeon, but also for the many deaths that they had to deal with thanks to the couple that infiltrated the floor... Well, looks like they get a rocky grave. Sey was the first to act, blurring out of sight at one moment before aiming a sharp wind-filled kick downwards to sweep them off. He couldn't miss with this gear, it was a dream come true. "Follow up!"

  23. Oh right, there was the big man from the meeting that he had before. Whatever he did before at the gym in the real world, that was what everyone needed to do. Sey could feel like a stick next to someone so buff, but what did his numbers suggest? Hestia took charge of the whole explanation thing, introducing himself and herself to the man before even offering him a run through this. Now Sey hoped that they did not get lead into a trap that this poor man would have to endure until Hestia howled, but it surely wouldn't come to that, right? "We'll take you on, big guy. It's quite a harsh floor, but I doubt it's nothing we couldn't handle. Though I do imagine it taking some time. If there is a plus side to this, I doubt the rewards for this dungeon will disappoint ya." Taking a less casual approach with his words, but what else could he do? It wasn't like this was business, no deals were being made, he hardly had to put on a mask.

    @Alec

  24. He was stopped before he could leave before being reminded that still had maps to use. And whatever bit of experience that he could get, he should absolutely take. A fair point, so he wold nod his head in turn to her. "Well we may as well since we are still buffed up and all. Lead the way then." Sey declared as he would then follow her lead. Wherever she went, he would soon follow right behind her. Kyu seemed less than thrilled to not be going home, but this was about Sey getting some experience. The loot was more an afterthought considering the amount they already obtained, but the ability to get more skills and focus more on building something to hopefully conserve stamina kept him going. It wouldn't be long before all of his energy would be restored anyways, so what was the big deal? And so the venture goes on, but for how long would be the question. Hopefully not at long as their original grind.
