F8-CA PP) Dungeon Dwelving (CA guild Event)

Jonathan watched as the battle began to slow down. Aereth managed to get the last few blows on it and the blond nodded before sheathing his weapon and turned away. The dungeon was a bit creepy and dark, but not enough to reduce their accuracy. "Alrighty" He glanced at everyone's energy bars. None too low... Then he noticed it. Where was Birdie? Had she slipped out mid-battle? That was definitely unlike her, but perhaps something was up. Itzal seemed to notice it too, but Jonathan kept moving on. "We all seem to be doing fine on energy for now, so I think we can advance a little further before laying low" Itzal seemed to find a treasure chest and Jonathan nodded. He would need a second before he continued in. "Itzal, you see if you can pick it. Hikoru.... Follow me, lets see what is in store for us and see if there is anything waiting for us" He nodded to Sey and Aereth before turning to dwelve deeper in the dungeon.

Hikoru watched as the rest of the group finished off the creatures, and Hikoru looked back to see that Birdie had disappeared. He was confused and was about to go and look around, when Morgenstern said his name and he turned, and nodded as he said to continue forward, and he followed, his cloak flowing behind him. He turned to the other two and gave them a nod

"If you want to stay behind with Itzal feel free, but me and Morg will go ahead and scout things out. If anything happens, i'll whistle loudly, and trust me, you'll hear. Listen for that if you decide to stay. If not, stay behind Morg, and be cautious of your surroundings." He said, and moved to Morgenstern, pulling him close "If they come, guard them with your life. I'll be nearby in stealth, so watch out for me." He said, and he moved forward entering the darkness and keeping an eye on the small group from his vantage point, watching to see if he could see any monsters ahead, but it was too dark for him to see.

“Yeah, I’ll stick with him in case some stray monsters took a really wrong turn.” The snow-haired player would reply to the DPS of the group as he would firmly grip his spear, giving himself a task to take care of. “Not to say he can’t handle himself, but it would be a better idea not to fight alone, but with at least someone else. Two should be enough, but Aereth’s more than welcome to stick around.” The chances of monsters arriving to them were low, but the game was not something that anyone wanted to underestimate. It was just Sey being a little bit too protective. Besides, with Jonathan, there was not much healing that needed to be done anyways. Seems like they had a plan so far to help with the advancement of the dungeon. And treasure chests were beyond rare, Sey wanted to see if he should even bother with investing skill points in it.

Itzal nodded as Jonathan and Hikoru moved away, heading for the center path that lead to the next segment.  Itzal noticed that Sey decided to stay with Itzal and Aereth had yet to make up his mind.  As Sey came over Itzal pulled out his tools.  "While the rewards for a chest are nearly poor every time, it's good to get an additional reward.  The chance for anything better than a little col and materials though has a ten percent chance of success, no I'd say five percent chance.  It would be seven percent after I max out picking.  The reward is extraordinary of course.  You can get gear with a unique enhancement on it.  Obviously that's why I try every time.  Though my hopes are low due to the percent chance."  He picked the lock and opened it, the loot menu popping up he sighed.  Just as he figured.  "Eight hundred col and four materials.  Told you the loot wasn't worth it."  He stood up and gestured for Sey to rejoin the group with him.

When Jonathan and Hikoru mentioned that they would scout out deeper into the dungeon, and @Sey also mentioned that he would go after Itzal, Aereth decided to stick around with the tank and DPS paladin. "I'll go with @Morgenstern and @Hikoru and help them scouting out the dungeon." He told Itzal and Sey and dashed after the two paladins. When Hikoru mentioned that he would go into stealth now Aereth would simply nod and turn to Jonathan. "How much money do we still need to earn for buying the guild hall?" He asked curiously while activating his Search skill in order to be able to find mobs that would be hinding somewhere in the dark corners. The experience they would gain from this sub dungeon raid would be very useful for Aereth in order to hone his scouting skills. One more level in search and detect, and he would be able to unlock the Reveal mod which would help him finding dungeons more frequently...

Jonathan walked forward slowly through the darkness. Eventually they found some more natural lighting and were able to see much better. Hikoru and Aereth had followed behind him, which was much more reassuring. "Alright let's keep moving, I have a feeling we are starting to get closer to the boss" He smiled and then paused as he heard approaching footsteps. "Prepare yourself boys" In seconds, four strange mobs came out. They all looked like leopards, but there was something stranger, evil or demonic about them. Their heads were much larger as if it was an octopus. Its eyes were a glowing red and hanging over its mouth was tentacle looking things. Everything else seemed rather normal. "SEY, ITZAL. WE ARE GONNA NEED YOUR HELP!" He nodded to Hikoru before he charged forward, and <<Howled>> for a second, the cat things were too shocked to make a move. They seemed confused as if to say 'Why no players run in fear?' He looked back to Hikoru. He was pretty sure the dark haired player knew what he needed to do next. 'I hope those two can make it over here in time'

Hikoru breathed and heard Morgenstern yell, and turned to see that he had missed creatures slipped past his trained eyes. He grit his teeth and mentally punched himself. How could have he made such a careless mistake? He should have seen that coming. He quickly leaped from the shadows, using his <<Sneak Attack>> Mod and landing on one of the creatures, dealing a large chunk of it. He breathed and stepped back, landing and looking at Morgenstern and Aereth

"Sorry for making that careless of a mistake." He said, and made a mental note to remember this for next time. He really needed to write down these rules for himself, and make sure to remember to check everywhere, and keep looking for movement. He breathed and waited for the two others to catch back up with their group so they could finish off these creatures quickly. With the Combination of his and Aereth's attacks, they should easily be able to finish the creatures in a few swipes of their weapons. And the others can hopefully do a few AoE and deal damage slowly to every enemy, and they could move on.

"Well, some loot is better than none indeed. I'll be riiiiiight there." Sey would explain before turning back to the group, seeing them dealing with a few more monsters. So since no one needed any healing right now, he decided to lash in with an area attack, moving forward swiftly before lunging his arm forward towards the chests of the Feline's quickly, stabbing them a good amount before jumping back before they could retaliate. "And we are back! Sorry for the wait, but we got a small bonus from that chest back there." The Sentinel explained to the group, holding the spear behind the back of his head, waiting for the rest to continue the barrage before he returned back to the scene. They were getting nearer and nearer towards the end goal, and they must have gotten a good amount of col in the process too.

Another couple of Fiendish Feline's spawned in front of them, which made Jonathan howl, Hikoru attack from the shadows, and Sey also got an attack in. After Sey, Aereth also decided to charge at the mobs in order to reduce their health at least a little bit. His sword glowed, and Aereth dealt a little bit of damage to the Feline with the least health points. He retreated back and cursed inwardly. "Oh god, how much I hate this weapon... It does almost no f'cking damage at all." he thought but shook his head and focused back on the battle. "Itzal, you're next." he called out and waited for his mentor to step in and attack the mobs. He had a good feeling that they would be able to buy the guild hall after today's dungeon raid. And if not, there were many dungeons yet to be discovered in Aincrad...

Itzal heard Jonathan call out for Sey and Itzal's assistance and Sey, being the player who wasn't picking the lock, was able to react first.  Itzal put his lockpick away and stood up before dashing back to the other tunnel.  Itzal saw more monsters and how one of them was low health while the other didn't have much damage done to them.  Itzal whistled for Velnia to come and she flew in from behind the monsters and landed on Itzal's shoulder.  "You know you could have went ahead and attacked them."  Velnia grinned apologetically before Itzal drew his sword and charged.  Unfortunately the four animals managed to dodge every attack he made.  Itzal eventually leaped back and looked at the group.  "Maybe I should just keep my accuracy ring equipped for the rest of the time and just hope for good loot."

The blond watched as the battle moved on, his friends dealing quite a bit of damage. Itzal and Sey had burst through the crowd just in time, but Itzal proved to miss. The rest of the group hit, and one of the creature's health dropped way low while the rest just seemed to be floating just above seventy five percent. "Alright we got this, Itzal and Sey, keep racking up the AOE attacks. Hikoru, start focusing your damage on one of the higher health mobs. Aereth, it is your job to bring down the health of the almost dead mob. Get it to where Itzal can finish it" After he finished the cats attacked, but Jonathan kept himself quick and managed to block every single attack with his shield. It felt good to be so proficient with the shield, but it kind of sucked that block did not improve his evasion, but instead increased his mitigation. Both were cool though.

Hikoru listened to the plan and he gave a nod. He decided now would be a good time to try out one of his second rank Shadowed Path sword arts. He breathed and closed his eyes, and soon dissapeared into his own shadow. He appeared at a higher area, and prepared to strike as his foot sunk into a shadow, and soon both sunk back. His eyes went wide as he soon popped back out of the shadow he has just come from, landing on his butt from where he had just been. He grumbled and stood up, picking up his dagger from the ground and rubbed his shoulders. He was still trying to get used to his new Unique skill, and he only knew that with time that he would get better. He stood and looked at Sey, giving him a nod as he awaited his turn again. This time he wouldn't try to be as confident as he had just tried to be, and play it safe and hope that ht could land another attack once more. But for now, he would have to wait and see what the Apprentices could do without him dealing any damage.

They were more or less cutting through monsters with a little bit of strength at a time. They will eventually get through to the monsters, but it will have to be done through the AoE attacks like Jonathan had been requesting of Itzal and Sey, so he was going to have to do so. It does not seem like the monsters were going to be that big of a deal with damage, seeing how all of them were standing tall with a lot of health, so he would take that to heart as he would proceed to slice at the monsters again, preparing for them all to take more damage, but also trying to hold back so he would not accidentally kill them. Itzal was better with loot at the end of the day, despite how much Sey is able to obtain. Four strikes to the chests of the enemies, and they would back off a bit at they were nearly the yellow zone, one in particular about to enter the red zone before he jumped back past Aereth, leaving an opening for them to attack with.

Unfortunately, Aereth hadn't grand mastered his weapon skill yet, and thus only had very weak area of effect attacks ready to use right now. He sighed, and started to attack the weakest of the four mobs, they fought right now in order to finally continue the search for the boss of the intermediate dungeon they were in right now.

Aereth charged immediately after Sey, and when Sey continued to attack the rest of the mobs with his area of effect attack, Aereth only focused on the one he choose to attack before. His sword glowed in a dark blue light and Aereth was able to land several hits on the feline and dodged or parried almost every strike the mob was throwing at him. "Thank god it is more or less focused on Jonathan. Otherwise it wouldn't look so good for me, I suppose..." He thought and landed the last hit of his combo before retreating back to his friends.

Itzal nodded and watched the others get to work.  When the others finished only one of the monsters was ripe for the finishing blow.  Itzal charged forward and released Shadow explosion, dealing damage to all the monsters and killing one of them.  The loot menu popped up and...  ANOTHER RARE ARMOR?  Seriously he thought to himself.  How many pieces of armor was he going to get?  This new loot system sucked so far.  He hadn't found anything else besides armor from monsters.  Why couldn't he get something like materials?  Or bonus col?  Itzal leaped back and sighed.  "Let's hope we get something better than pieces of armor with the next three.  It's getting a bit tiering.  And pointless.  I doubt anyone needs this many armors."

The team began its work, and as Itzal got back up again he finished off the first of the felines. "Nice work guys!" He moved in, eyeing one of the creatures. He had low AOE damage, and was much better off. He moved in toward the feline and felt as his energy coursed through his weapon. A gleam of blue energy lit up the darkness, shone directly from his weapon. The creature growled as he neared, swiping a paw at him. He dodged the paw by rolling to the side and swung his weapon horizontally a the creature. His blade sailed over its head. The blond sighed and moved back, moving his shield in front of his body to block any blows. "Alright Hikoru, get in there and show them how its done!" He pointed his weapon forward, causing the Felines to stop their rapid advance on him.

Hikoru knew that this time he would hit something, that he would help to back up the members of his guild. He moved forward quickly and attacked one of the felines. It's health was chunked down immensely, and easily finished off. He smiled to himself and retreated to where he was. Job was done for now, and he would go for another attack when he got the chance. But he had done a good job for now, but he needed to make sure that everything went smoothly. He planned things out and knew that they had been doing good so far. He gave a small sigh and prepared for the next onslaught while the others did their part. They should be all good, but he could never tell what would happen next. He had no clue as to how many were still left to be killed, but he knew that things should be fine as of right now. But only time would tell.

Sey would look up to the three remaining monsters, smiling as he would jump towards them with the tip of his spear trying to meet. Admittedly, he felt a lot more comfortable with his gear that allowed him to catch up and slice through them with little to no problem in the process. Unfortunately however, he threw that out so that he could get in a quick hit or two, though the damage does stack up a bit over time, so there was no reason to complain about it. His eyes were locked onto them, trying to enhance his chances of striking them without fail, though a little bit of doubt would fog his sight, evening things once again unfortunately. With this doubt though, he would mis every single strike in the process, getting absolutely no damage done in the process. Perhaps he would have had more use trying to heal someone. Regardless however, it was too late to make that choice now.

Aereth chuckled, when the mob dropped yet another Rare Armor to Itzal. "Looks like we will have enough of those for new apprentices that might join in the future." he told @Itzal with a smile before also charging into battle once more. Itzal was right though. The battle took much too long and it was becoming very tiring for all of the guild members. "After we finish this raid we should all together get a drink and something to eat." he added with a smirk, and activated a sword art. Aereth sped forward, trying to slash at the mobs, but unfortunately completely missed every f*cking one of them, just like Sey did a couple of moments ago. Aereth was lucky to dodge some hits of the Feline's and immediately started to retreat again. "Seems like we both have some issues hitting those things..." he said to Sey with a melancholic chuckle.

Itzal watched as the team went at it again.  This time only Hikoru was the player who landed a hit.  The monster's damage wasn't low enough for him to ko it, but he could still drop all of their health significantly.  He charged forward, Velnia swooping in with him and his sword bursting lightning from the blade.  He swooped in on the three and released Shadow explosion, cutting through the large cats easily and landing paralysis on it.  The bleed harmed them afterwards and thus one of them only needed a single hit to be finished off.  Itzal leaped backward and gestured for the others to proceed.  "Their all yours guys.  And yeah, lunch sounds real good after this."  Velnia nodded her head eagerly in agreement.  Itzal chuckled, knowing her so very well.
