Reytac 0 Posted Thursday at 01:42 PM #81 Share Posted Thursday at 01:42 PM (edited) Debating on whether or not to accept the odd invitation that had gone out had taken Reytac nearly an hour to decide on. Getting some beach shorts and a loose shirt had been easier, if drawing odd looks from the vendors on the first floor where he still spent most of his time. But even that hasn't been what took the most time - no, that had been tracking down and getting two things to bring to the broil. It might have been a while since he went to a party like this, but he hadn't forgotten what it was like to go there. And since he wasn't directly invited - he'd been in more of a general 'hey if you're alive and kicking, show up' category, it felt like - then it was only right in his head for him to bring something to contribute. The first thing he had picked up had taken some discussion with a bartender to get, but a case of twelve bottles of cold beer had taken up a nice spot in his inventory, waiting to be brought out and given out. That had been easy enough to manage, while the second thing, not so much. It had taken him across a decent part of the town, but he had finally found a vendor who sold him a small cask of honeyed mead. He'd also had to buy a set of four rough wooden mugs to go with it before the vendor would actually finish the sale. The cask had completely filled an inventory slot on its own - unstackable, but considering it was a litre and a half, he accepted it. But now he had claimed a small table out on the outside edge, the beers sitting on top of it, with a small sign to take one if someone wanted by the case. The cask was sitting next to him on the table, still untapped, as he used a rough cloth and a small, porous stone to smooth out the rough parts of the cups he had been sold. While he doubted splinters from the cups would actually be a thing at all, it would be just his luck to have someone get poor wood in their mouth and ruin the flavor of the mead. __________________ <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Warren>> Level: 22 Paragon: 0 Tier: 3 True Tier: 1 Final EXP reward: +210% Final EXP reward -- Spoiler Reytac | HP: 20/20 | EN: 20/20 | DMG 1 No gear no items fresh faced baboo Edited yesterday at 12:43 PM by Reytac
Acanthus 0 Posted Thursday at 03:20 PM #82 Share Posted Thursday at 03:20 PM Quote "I don’t think I like people that way." @Ceres Acanthus’ words melted into one slurred thought. “Oh my god, can I tell you a secret? Me too. I feel like, I don’t know, the part of me that’s supposed to get all warm and melty around boys just isn’t there. Did you know that I got a confession letter in middle school? And everyone told me to write him back. So I ended up writing him back, and I talked about beans the whole time. Well, legumes, actually, but I think you probably don’t care about that. Takumi certainly didn’t.” The memory dampened her attitude for a moment, until she heard music from across the party. Her spirit immediately snapped back to full. “There’s music! Over there! I’m gonna go. You should come too.” Ceres was busy responding to Acanthus’ question, but Acanthus had already moved on. Who asked about weapon enhancements at a party? Boring people, that’s who. And Acanthus didn’t come to a party to talk shop. That was for the salarymen back home; today, she was here for a good time. Quote “Any requests?” @Lysette Acanthus stumbled forward, snagging a bit of ice that flung from her drink. She thought for a moment, and then popped the ice in her mouth. “Kindah a longhot, buht do you ‘ave any Taeko Onuki?” She crunched the ice down; it was hard enough to understand her with a few drinks in her system. “Or Junko Yagami. Oh, or Mariya Takeuchi! I love ‘Plastic Love.’ You know, it goes like…” Acanthus tried to hum a few bars, and only succeeded in spilling more ice. “Oops, sorry, let me get that.” She tried picking them up, but the slippery bastards refused to stay still. She settled on kicking them off the dance floor and into the sand. Good enough. Dusting her hands like she’d just spent a full day in the fields, she realized about three seconds too late that her glass was still—or rather, had been—in her hands. It danced across the floor, skidding to a halt before bursting into blue bits and pieces. She looked back at the DJ, and laughed. “I guess I need another drink! I’ll be right back. Remember, anything you have that sounds city pop-adjacent. I promise there’s a good reward for you.” She gave a wink and a wave as she temporarily vacated the dance floor. Surely the promise of a healthy monetary tip would incentivize the DJ to find something close.
Illisandra 0 Posted Thursday at 06:51 PM #83 Share Posted Thursday at 06:51 PM The promise of free food to a starving stomach. Illi was racked with the grumbles of a barely lined stomach on a fresh afternoon, where difficult days of constant grinding to afford her hotel room had left her wallet a little worse for wear like her feet. The catch? A dress code. The girl hardly showed much more then her face and her hands, so the sudden shift to something easily 10 times more revealing had her feeling way more vulnerable. Without much of a poker face, it would be plastered all over a frazzled expression. Yet determined to save a buck, she'd power through like a good little soldier. Nervously avoiding prying eyes, taking a bottle of clear yet bubbly liquid from Warren who was quite readily a main fixture at the party. Enjoying in earnest the merriment in a detached but feverish picking of a disposable fork to a plate. Setting her eyes on at least a single familiar face, the rest of these gooners giving her no cause for comfort she'd weasel her way toward that face. @Enya "Glad to know I'm not alone. I swear to god I can feel their eyes. Ain't even looking at me... Was starting to think this was a groomer party, and I was the low level grub." Illi spoke basically using the other girl like a makeshift barrier, pressing her back into hers and pulling apart a lump of crab flesh. It would be immediately clear that the exotic looking girl was entirely outside of her element, debating silently the construction of a few blank voodoo dolls to slap together some supernatural persuasion if the need arose. Despite this being a buffet, to which Illi more then wished to take advantage of. Bistro 0 Posted Thursday at 11:20 PM #84 Share Posted Thursday at 11:20 PM "i did," said bistro, as pollux greeted her on her approach. bistro rounded the seat reserved for herself and sat down at the table, eyeing night as she set her stuff down. "i think she's just shy. i invited her to the guild. pretty sure she'll fit in fine if this is the sort of thing she gets up to voluntarily." at bistro's stare, night seemed to freeze up from a distance, squinting at the gossiping parties, before wandering over, hand running through her hair. "plus, it seems like she already knew oscar, the way she was placed in front of me earlier. and star. talk about making connections. hope i wasn't interrupting anything between the two of you." she whistled to the approaching frontliner, head resting on an arm propped on a table, expression shot to night almost smug. "made up your mind yet?" "give me some time," night snapped back, almost whiny and perplexed. but she turned to pollux and firefly with earnesty, and a nod. "hi. the trackers, right?" she paused, considering, as she looked to pollux. "... i recognize you from clash of blades. not your name though. um. did you two just start out?" Wulfrin 0 Posted 22 hours ago #85 Share Posted 22 hours ago And just like that, there were way more people than Wulfrin had initially thought would show up. Between the orange cursors running around, some unwieldy guests, and of course Oscar's own chaotic energy, Wulfrin was starting to get that "I'm way out of my comfort zone" feeling that only tended to come about in large crowds. His demeanor shifted, transitioning to a more cautious and reserved stance as he struggled hopelessly to use the provided chopsticks. His American was on full display as he immediately gave up and opted for some carefully crafted cutlery that he had forged himself. He deserved at least a little comfort here. Afterall it was only a short time that he had been in Japan, mainly due to a research project for his university. He hadn't exactly adapted well to both a new culture and being trapped in a death game. "So," Wulfrin spoke between bites of his finely crafted meal. "What kind of crazy adventures have my fellow Tracker's been up to as of late? I just finished collecting all the professions, so my forge on 22 will be out of commission for a bit while I do some remodeling. Though don't let that discourage you from giving me some gear lists. I'll get them together as soon as I can."
Pollux 0 Posted 14 hours ago #86 Share Posted 14 hours ago (edited) Not too bad for her first try. Firefly was safe from that impromptu swim for now. Yue Hua’s tail came to a rest on top of Firefly’s hat, patting her gently. She sounded like she was doubting herself. Her nervous hope extinguished. Yue Hua was doing a lot of things to her that she had never wanted to. “I know. I trust your intentions are always good. You, and everyone in the guild.” Then Bistro sat down. Her interruption was welcome. But at her news, Yue Hua’s surprise was palpable. They invited another frontliner? Did they not congregate in their own specialized guilds? She swiveled the focus of their conversation to the nearest available topic with the hope that Firefly would similarly move on. “I recognize her too, if it counts! We fought in the same tournament — not against each other, but…” “Made up your mind yet?” Bistro asked an approaching NIGHT. The highest level in the game, Kindling had said. She had an impressive streak that was broken only by Katoka. On the beach, without her black sword, she looked a lot less intimidating and her shy mannerisms implied she was a little out of her element. Yue Hua was past regarding her as a potential opponent. She set down her chopsticks and extended a greeting. “Yue Hua, player name Pollux. ‘Tis a shame we never had that duel, I was looking forward to fighting you.” Between the two of them, Firefly was the genuine rookie. She paused, allowing space for her friend to talk to NIGHT, before she replied. “Not entirely. I ran into a minor problem that interfered with my progress, so in totality, I’ve been at it for… years? I think.” Yue Hua was still studying how time passed in Aincrad. “Is it true that you rank highest among the frontliners?” She couldn’t resist asking. The etiquette around revealing one’s stats side was strange — some were happy enough to discuss it, others were cagey. The thought only occurred to her once the question had left her mouth, so Yue Hua covered what could be a perceived impoliteness with a flustered explanation behind a painted hand. “Kindling said so once. I’m simply wondering if it was all tournament hype.” Edited 14 hours ago by Pollux
Jibae 0 Posted 14 hours ago #87 Share Posted 14 hours ago The chaotic event left much to be desired. Jibae was here looking nearly solely for a new potential proprietor, and mingling with some of Aincrad's elite was a good way to find a promotion. That only stood if any of them were actually in need of grocery shopping or housekeeping, but the chances were not 0. However the rather unkempt and messy platforms and garbage strewn about the place had the woman almost immediately pressed to her breaking point. The tension having her snap a plastic fork in half, scanning for the nearest trash can to begin to do what none of them clearly could. Wandering back and forth, she'd begin to wipe tables and clean up empty bottles. A hefty handful of napkins in her hand that she'd nabbed, she'd fold one and lift half consumed drinks and shove it underneath like a makeshift coaster without a lick of caution to who it belonged to. The woman didn't know how it was that people so loaded with well lined pockets didn't even bother to appreciate the things they owned. Drawing a white rag down the table she'd shove all the refuse and crumbs onto the beach, better there then on right on the space where people ate. Once the woman was satisfied with the cleanliness of the space, only then would she collect a plate of her own and begin to calm down. Which would only last until someone knocked over a drink or left a mess. All the while the player would think sour thoughts, seriously considering shoving a plastic fork in one of their hands and pretending it was an accident just to spite the messy heathens. A flick of the fork has her etiquette on full blast, unfurling a napkin onto her lap as if she was still wearing her uniform. <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Warren>> Level: 22 Paragon: 0 Tier: 3 True Tier: 2 Final EXP reward: +220% Final EXP reward Jibae | HP: 240/240 | EN: 42/42 | DMG: 1 Spoiler Name: Jibae True Tier: 2 Level: 12 Paragon Level: 0 Tier: 2 HP: 240/240 EN: 42/42 Stats: Damage: 1 Equipped Gear: Weapon/Armor/Trinket: - Armor/Trinket: - Shield/Armor/Trinket: - Combat Mastery: - Combat Shift: - Familiar Skill: - Custom Skill: - Skills: Extra Skills: Inactive Extra Skills: Addons: Mods: Inactive Mods: Battle Ready Inventory: - Starter Healing Potions (Heals 50 HP) x3 Housing Buffs: Guild Hall Buffs: Scents of the Wild Totem: Wedding Ring: Crafting Profession: Gathering Profession:
Oscar 0 Posted 5 hours ago Author #88 Share Posted 5 hours ago @Mari to the rescue. Cool, cool. Oscar didn’t want things to melt down, so he appreciated the intervention. It was nice, really, to see such an eclectic mix of Player cursors. Greens and Oranges mixed about as well as oil and water. So of course there would be big feelings in play. Even still. “Oh, I’ve met @Ceres. I get it. Proportionate responses though. Call it a difference of opinion, but maybe we don’t sling our drinks all willy-nilly?” Oscar’s eyes shifted over to Corvo, then back to Mari. His words weren’t those of chastisement, neither were they particularly hostile. Disappointed? Maybe. “We can hold ourselves down better than that.” Oscar dismissed himself with a nod, pulling a towel out of the air as he walked past Ceres. Wordlessly, he dropped it onto her head and stepped into the crowd. As he did, Oscar was approached by raven-haired male giving him props for the party. When he questioned how this was all possible, Oscar just cracked a smile. “Beats the hell out of me, dude. I’m kinda expecting Cardinal to just despawn everything any second now. So get it in while you can get it in, my guy,” he said to @Lium. He clapped the man on the back and meandered over to the Trackers’ table. Oscar didn’t show his face much around HQ so it was nice to see everyone all in one place. He’d not realized that the Guild was so expansive now. Seeing everyone mingling - smiles on their faces as they enjoyed what he had on offer - did make all of the effort worth it. As he sat down, he caught the tail end of the conversation. “Is it true that you rank highest among the frontliners?” He let out a short laugh. @NIGHTwas certainly getting a crazy amount of attention. In his experience, that wasn’t really something she liked. Still, he couldn’t resist the urge to pile on. “Yep,” Oscar cut in, raising a can of mystery soda. “I was both excited and terrified of taking her on in the tournament. I’m good, but -” Oscar took a long drink from his can. “I think she’s better. Fun fact, I’ve known her since she was a lowbie. If there’s any evidence I’ve been getting lazy, it’d be her.” @Pollux Oscar sat there for a while, enjoying the rising din of conversations and laughter. Lysette had the dance floor moving and a few people were trickling in. He scanned the crowd, equal parts taking it all in and looking for trouble. One thing stuck out to him like a sore thumb. Downing his can, he tossed it over his shoulder. Upon contact with the ground, the item shattered into dust. He rose from his seat and smoothed out trunks. “Duties of the host never end. I’ll need to plan something a bit more private just for us, I think. Excuse me,” he said with a smile. Oscar stepped away for the second time - something that he figured would be a recurring trend. He made his way through the crowd, trying his best not to be disruptive. It was rather difficult, what with being an actual giant. He stopped for a moment, finding someone with an even more imposing presence. Closed metal helmet and a speedo. Sick. "YES, THE RAZOR APPROVES OF THIS DIVINE MEATS OF A WORTHY FOE. MORE OMEGA-3 FOR THE RAZOR." @Razor Oscar clapped him on the back with a bright grin. “HELL YEAH BROTHER! DIG IN! ENJOY!” The Razor. Coolest dude at the party, by far. It wasn't even close. Finally, Oscar made his way back over to @Alinta. He didn’t do much, merely handing her another drink (which he kept in his pockets, apparently) and giving her a slight chuckle. “You know, I’ve seen lemons less sour. I’m gonna call it a personal failure if you don’t enjoy yourself.” That was true. Oscar didn’t want to see anyone with a sour expression on their face at his party. Corvo needed checked, but he assumed that once he found his people, he would eventually unwind. Alinta though. Seemed like she’d been a bit uncomfortable from the get-go. That simply would not do. Oscar pulled a can from thin air again and cracked the top. He brought the can up to his lips as he leaned against a tiki pole. “Wild you never reached out-” he took a sip of his drink. “I get the quest ended a bit sideways, but I thought we had a vibe going on. What’s up?”
Abellio 0 Posted 5 hours ago #89 Share Posted 5 hours ago (edited) "GERONIMO!" Abellio's voice rang out over the beach as he vaulted over the side of the airship railing and landed onto the sands with a thud. He had been a bit worried. Oscar trusted him with the crown jewel of this entire party. Abellio was a legendary fuck-up so he was concerned that he might not be able to place the giant crustacean just so. But his worries had been unfounded and despite never piloting an airship or operating a winch, he pulled it off. So his presence on deck was unneeded. Time to get down. As he small cloud of sand settled on his sandaled feet, he noticed a dude off in the corner. More specifically, he noticed that he'd brought his own booze! Abellio liked that guy. That guy was a badass. He dashed over, leaning forward against the table as he bounced on his heels. "Dude! You brought drinks! You didn't have to do that but major props for being the coolest dude here," he said excitedly. He turned on his heels, cupping his hands around his mouth. "GET THIS MAN A PLATE! HE PUT THE B IN BYOB!" The summons was answered in short order by Warren, walking up to them with a trio of plates piled high with food. The man was actually insane - balancing three plates while actively smoking. Abellio wished he was that coordinated. "WARREN! HELL YEAH!" Warren placed the victuals down upon a nearby table, taking a long drag from his smoke. "Man brought his own beer. Not gonna make him get his own food --" He turned to address @Reytac with a nod. "Haven't seen you around before. You just getting active? I'm Warren. This is Abellio. We're friends of the host and he would never let us live it down if we left you in the corner alone." Alinta 0 Posted 5 hours ago #90 Share Posted 5 hours ago “You know, I’ve seen lemons less sour. I’m gonna call it a personal failure if you don’t enjoy yourself.” Alinta shrugged, trying to regain her confident demeanor - closing her eyes and shifting away from the nearest orange cursor. "Well, consider it a personal failure then." She said with a flick of her hair over her shoulder. Serves him right for not responding to her. He had passed her another drink and Alinta glanced down, fingers fiddling with the can. Perfectly manicured and painted nails finding their way beneath the pull tap pshhst. She opened the can and took a small sip. It wasn't beer, some sort of cola? It was sweet. She would mumble her thanks to him. Between being mad at him, and being afraid of all the Pkers - the fear won out. "I'm..still mad...." she grumbled, then paused. "Thank you." It was then Oscar mentioned that she had never reached out, Alinta coughed - choking on her drink. "What!?" Alinta pursed her lips as she opened up her messenger system. "I did reach out see!" She would pull Oscar in closer by his arm angrily pointing at a message she had sent him - well, him. His name was mispelt 'Osdcar' a clearly accidental typo that she didn't quite catch. It read; Oscar. Sorry I dint teach out yesterday. I'm..actually not very good at talking to people face to face sometimes, but despite everything.. It was fun. Lets hang out again soon. xx- Alinta. "SEE?" She said, pointing a finger at the HUD, "You were the one who left Me on read!" A strange Pker, shirtless and donning a tophat ,@Vex Vexxus, started screaming and dancing - shaking his hips to and fro. Alinta jumped - hiding behind Oscar. "Why the fuck are there so many orange people here?" She muttered. @Oscar
Oscar 0 Posted 5 hours ago Author #91 Share Posted 5 hours ago So that was it. The Orange Players. He could understand why she'd be afraid of them. Truth be told, he was rather desensitized to the whole cursor color thing. It didn't really register as a factor until Alinta visibly jumped and dashed behind him. "Why the fuck are there so many orange people here?" "They're people too," Oscar said. The irony wasn't lost on him, even if Alinta didn't have that particular context. "They haven't drawn their weapons. Be kinda stupid to do so with half the Frontlines milling about. And besides, they're just having fun. I don't really feel like people are defined but the color of their cursor. People make mistakes, y'know?" He shifted to the side, draping his arm over her shoulder and bending down low. "Mistakes like sending a message to 'Osdcar' and then getting mad at me for not getting it," he stated with a grin. Before he could continue, he heard Abellio bellowing out over the crowd. Something about someone bringing beer to the party. He rose back to his full height, scanning the crowd until he found the table that Warren and Abellio were milling about around. There was a new face. A new person to welcome. He cleared his throat and called out over the crowd. "FEED THAT MAN, HE'S A GODDAMN TREASURE!" He raised his can, acknowledging @Reytac over the crowd. The Razor had serious competition.
Alinta 0 Posted 4 hours ago #92 Share Posted 4 hours ago As frustrated as Alinta was, there was a level of comfort his arm around her shoulder brought her. Alinta sighed, shifting her gaze away from Oscar. "Hmmm..." Her lips pressed to the can and she took another long drink. She didn't agree with him. Not in the slightest. "Just because they haven't drawn their weapons..." Alinta said with the resolution of someone who wouldn't change her mind. "Doesn't mean they didn't take innocent lives. Do you really think they deserve fun?" She would point out toward Vex in particular. "That man looks insane." Even with him dancing freely...there was just something about him that unnerved her. She'd shift her finger toward @Lancaster "That man looks like an absolute thug." She'd pause to take another drink from her can. The redheaded man was not dressed for the event - he was sitting alone to the side wearing a leather jacket and a cigarette jutting out the side of his mouth. Alinta's face soured. This was a topic her and Oscar completely disagreed on. "Pretty fucking big mistakes if you ask me." She said matter-of-factly - glaring at a particular ginger haired woman with freckles. She seemed to be talking to the loud man who threw his drink at the girl earlier. "Mistakes like sending a message to 'Osdcar' and then getting mad at me for not getting it," he stated with a grin. Alinta glanced up at Oscar, her hair tickling his shoulder. "What?... Oh..." Did she misspell his name? "Well - You didn't message me either. And I think a typo is far different than Murder Oscar dear." She was trying to be confident but it was clear she was rattled. It was clear she was frustrated, but Alinta did genuinely like Oscars attention, and his personality. It was sweet how he tried to see the good in everyone. Alinta decided she should try to steer the conversation away from a topic they wouldn't see eye to eye on. "So, gonna introduce me to anyone?" She asked with a coy grin. @Oscar
Kasumi 0 Posted 3 hours ago #93 Share Posted 3 hours ago The girl couldn't find herself any more comfortable then on the beach surrounded by the rushing waves. Sands in a vibrant near white like a still landscape painting that glared under the sun, the merriment and excitement as players continued to partake in food and drink. Drifting through the water, however not being mistaken for drowning like the blonde haired morningstar had. Out here like the foot of the falls on floor 8, where was where the girl was at her most relaxed. A serenity to which she'd allow the problems of the world ooze out into the ocean. Despite being on this beach multiple times, it wasn't until now that she could actually enjoy it. The prior times were visits solely brought about by business. Sand's Claw being euthanized really allowed her to appreciate the respite. The mixed taste of salt and spices on the nostril, a soft breeze that would catch the exposed bits of her skin from the water brought a welcome chill. Satisfied with her stay within the last hour or so where she'd slipped by virtually unnoticed, at least assumingly so. Up onto the beach with a flash of blue, from her inventory retrieved a towel which she flings open while pinching the corners. Her own section of the warm, oven like sand as her skin glistened with moisture and sand clung to the underside of her feet. Turning and kneeling down Kasumi drops on her butt, rounding her hair before leaning back and dusting off her heels. Once she'd dried off a bit, the girl would seek out some of the free food. But not until she wasn't going to track sand all across the place. The thought crossed her mind if it were possible to get a sunburn, and instinctually she retracted a bit more of her legs into the shade. <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Warren>> Level: 22 Paragon: 0 Tier: 3 True Tier: 11 Final EXP reward: +225% Final EXP reward Kasumi | HP: 440/440 | EN: 77/77 | DMG: 20 | MIT:20 | ACC:4 | KEEN: 1 | PHASE | EVA:4 | BH:13 | STC: 30 | PARA-V | LD:1 Spoiler Name: Kasumi, The Pure Tide True Tier: 11 Level: 22 Paragon Level: 0 HP: 440/440 EN: 77/77 Stats: Damage: 20 Mitigation: 20 Accuracy: 4 Evasion: 4 Battle Healing: 13 Loot Die: 1 Stealth Rating: 5 KEEN: 1 PHASESTC: 30 PARA-V Equipped Gear: Weapon/Armor/Trinket: - Mugen Tenshin Perversion - Citadel [T4/Demonic/Handwraps] Phase, Keen 1, Paralytic Venom 1, Static 1 Armor/Trinket: - White Red-trimmed Gee [Tierless/Perfect/Cloth Armor] (3 Evasion) Shield/Armor/Trinket: - Mugen Tenshin Decree [Tierless/Demonic/Trinket] (3 Accuracy, Evasion 1) Combat Mastery: - Combat Mastery: Damage R3 Combat Shift: - AOE Shift Familiar Skill: - Custom Skill: - Like Water Skills: - Battle Healing R3 - Charge - Cloth Armor R5 - Energist - Extended Weight Limit - Martial Arts R5 Extra Skills: - Hiding R5 - Parry - Concentration - Brawler Inactive Extra Skills: Addons: - Ferocity - Nimble - Precision - Stamina Mods: - Athletics - Surpise Attack: Trickster - Untraceable - Vanish Inactive Mods: Battle Ready Inventory: - Crystal of Divine Light | [232246b] x1 - Teleport Crystal x1 Housing Buffs: - Basic Kitchen: Increase the effectiveness of a single food item consumed in a thread by +1 T1 slot. Lanna 0 Posted 2 hours ago #94 Share Posted 2 hours ago The last couple weeks have been exhausting. Who knew that actually working would be so hard. Making designer clothing came natural to her but everything else was super hard to grasp. I took her a almost a week to learn how the proper way to take orders. Even longer to learn how to take money and put it into the system. She needed a break, hands down. Walking around the first any only town that she has been in, the town of beginnings. There were rumors of a giant beach party on floor 24. Asking around she would figure out the directions. Getting a swimsuit out of the little stuff she had, she would head to the warp gate and just stand there waiting for it to do its thing but nothing happens... Asking the first passing person they explain and she smiles with a small chuckle while the player walks away laughing. She knew that she wasn't smart but in her defense she never used the teleport pad before. She clears her throat saying "Floor 24" as she is swept up. Landing on the called out floor, she felt dizzy, almost nauseous. Shaking her head looking around, trying to regain her bearings. Hearing music in the distance, that had to be where the party was. She would follow the noise. Getting to the huge crowd of people she would smile, grab a sprite and start dancing to the music that was provided. This is what she needed... <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Warren>> Level: 22 Paragon: 0 Tier: 3 True Tier: 2 Final EXP reward: +230% Final EXP reward Lanna | HP: 280/280 | EN: 46/46 | DMG: 1 Spoiler Name: Lanna True Tier: 2 Level: 22 Paragon Level: 0 HP: 280/280 EN: 46/46 Stats: Damage:
3ulogy 0 Posted 2 hours ago #95 Share Posted 2 hours ago 3ulogy slunk on to the bright-white beaches of Floor 24. He had never come here willingly—being on the same floor as the devil that hounded him constantly for appraisals felt like bad luck. But he had received an urgent message a few minutes ago from Solomon. The biggest party in Aincrad is going on right now. Half the frontlines are there chatting each other up. And plenty of nobodys on the scene as well. Find some people, talk them up. Glean some information about frontline activities. If you see anyone that may be interested in the cause, then that’s even better. Frontline activities. 3ulogy grumbled. It was a party, not a raid meeting. Not that Solomon would know the difference. His idea of a party was chips, soft drinks, and an early bedtime. This was a real party. Every food and drink you could think of. Games, swimming, music, dancing, and some entertainment in the form of a man-sized meat machine ( @Razor) oiling and feeding himself simultaneously. 3ulogy watched with horrified glee as an entire chicken disappeared through the man's armor. He would have to double back and see what he was up to later. But the point was simple: none of the Frontliners were going to be talking about the frontlines here. The whole purpose of the party was to forget that they were stuck slogging through floor after floor. Going up to the most powerful players trying to relax and asking them about all of the deadly things that plague their thoughts—while actively trying to forget about them? World’s worst plan. 3ulogy thought he might tweak it a little. And by “a little,” he meant entirely. He scoped out the crowd, doing his best to find any players to chat up: preferably ones that had not quite settled into conversations already. 3ulogy | Lvl 11 (T2) | No Stats: RP thread <<Assist System Engaged: Assisting Warren>> Level: 22 Paragon: 0 Tier: 3 True Tier: 2 Final EXP reward: +235% Final EXP reward
Ceres 0 Posted 2 hours ago #96 Share Posted 2 hours ago Accy seemed to agree with Ceres, her eyes would light up and she'd go on to slur about how she didn't get all warm and melty around people. Ceres tilted her head to the side. Listening to the woman exuberantly tell her story. "Beans?" Her eyes floated to the sky. "Legumes. Hmmm. No. I don't care about that..." She said, her typical slow and airy tone. "Sorry Accy, I do not understand your obsession with legumes." Ceres would give her new friend a pat on her shoulder. "But if they are something you like. Then that's fine." Ceres blinked when she felt @Oscar drop a towel over her head. "Ah." She grabbed it and rubbed her face into it, it was warm, and a little sandy but most of all, it was dry. "Thank you Oscar." Ceres called out after him as he seemed to get distracted by another woman with very long hair and very pretty clothes. Ceres would just follow Acanthus as she headed toward the dance floor. Ceres would pause by a table that had two very fruity looking drinks. She'd pick both of them up, not caring who they belonged to. She passed one to Arcanthus. "Here you said you needed another." Ceres didn't quite get how the other woman got so drunk, so quickly. "I don't think I can get drunk." She said simply as she started on her second very alcoholic drink of the day. That was for the salary men back home; today, she was here for a good time. @Acanthus finished off her drink then went off to find something else. "Hmmm..." Ceres looked around, then seeing @Razor and how he held a second helmet, empty she thought "Oh...Are you using this as a cup? Here." And without a proper thought in that lil head of hers, Ceres would pour her drink into Razors waiting helmet.
