  11. Sin was greeted by the chime of a bell overhead as she returned to Malachi’s shop. The man looked at her with peculiarity. Almost as if she was surprised that she made it back. Then, that perplexed expression morphed into a visage of pure joy. “You’re back, madam! I am glad you’ve returned.” The way he spoke almost made her believe it. That facsimile of concern might have fooled a lesser woman. Still, she responded with a smile. NPC or no, it was nice to simply socialize. “I did. Thank you for your warning, Malachi. I see what you mean about the monsters becoming more dangerous
  12. “Y- You know him?” Mari reached for the cup of hot chocolate she had placed beside her.. After the tense interactions earlier, she needed something stronger, so stood and picked up the whiskey that sat on the mantle above the fire, pouring it straight from the decanter to the small cup Mari sighed. “Yeah. That's why I allowed you into my house in the first place.” A pause as she glanced outside, her windows rattled lightly, battered by the winds. “Mostly. You’d probably be dead if you stayed out there. Considering you don’t seem to know how to use teleport crystals.” A slightly accusator

  14. This time, Sin didn’t approach the mobs as if it were business as usual. She took her time, waited until they were all clumped together. She lined up her shot. And it went off without a hitch. Her weapon sliced through All four boars in a wide arc. Health bars tanked - from green, to yellow, to red. Emptying like water from an ampoule. All that was left in their wake was a quarter of shimmering spots on the ground where they had once stood. Sin put away her weapon, stooped down low to loot her rewards. A smile crept onto her face as she saw that the Material requirement had been fulfilled

  17. So this was what Malachi had meant when he told her to be careful. They had little nukes hiding in the shape of general mobs. It wasn’t a problem if she didn’t get hit, but if the worst happened and they all managed to land their attacks, she would be in for a world of hurt. Sin never thought that she would be silently thanking an NPC, but here she was - doing just that. She turned on the last Pre-Bacon, her weapon carving through its hide like butter. She paused for a moment, taking stock of her loot. She had missed the Material requirement by a mile. Just how had she got so unlucky with
  18. Sin had to wonder just what that warning was about. It wasn’t as if she was inexperienced as far as mobs went on Floor One. They never struck her as particularly difficult. In fact, they’d never even struck her at all. Always dying in a hit or two, attacks so telegraphed that she could leisurely walk out of their way. Had something changed recently? Her level had, of course. But- She’d find out soon enough. A quartet of large boars, known in-game as Pre Bacons, barred her path as soon as she stepped out of town. She dove into the fight, sword glinting in the sunlight as she struck. Three
  19. Post Action: Equip T1 Perfect [Starter Claws] | ACC 2 | DMG 1 The woman of green stepped onto a field that matched her, boars frolicked in the fields before her - squealing in glee, shuffling around. She quietly made her way to a nearby rock, almost as though it were made to perfectly jut out over the field. Just high enough for the woman to be able to sit upon it, and allow her legs to dangle freely in the warm breeze, blades of grass only just kissing the tips of her feet. Arsine wasn’t really one for battle, so she took the time to secure the claws onto her hands. Silent and
  20. “Wait! Miss!” Sin turned to see the shop owner - Malachi - running towards her. That was… odd. But whatever. She planted her feet and hooked her thumbs into the loops of her shorts as the elderly gentleman closed the distance between them. “You seem quite strong, so I imagine you’ll want to slay monsters for the necessary materials. That is fine, but-” He stopped for a moment. Perhaps his programming was trying to choose the right words. Sin didn’t encounter this with Drax. But then again, the NPC was too busy feeling her up to say anything important. “Do not underestimate the monste
  21. EAL: Artisan Somehow she thought that getting her Appraiser rank up would take longer than it did. It would have meant that she had time to really get acclimated. Her end goal was, of course, to eventually pick up all of the professions. The initial idea was that Appraiser would take time. And it would. But it was less about actual Profession Experience and more about gathering up the required funds. And if that was the case, she totally didn’t want to have to lean against Oscar for it. The man would never let her live it down. Plus, she didn’t see all that many artisans milling
