  2. Having failed his previous attempt, Wulfrin resigned himself to relaxing by the rolling river. Occasionally a fish would jump, causing him to peak out from behind his closed eyes at the sound of the plop. There was another reason he had decided to relax in the grass. He was attempting to sense the strange tremors that had been rumored. So far they seem to have subsided, but who could say if they were truly over. As he lay in the grass, the cool breeze almost lulling him to sleep, he heard his companions growing exceedingly frustrated. All he could do was snicker lightly under his breath. Truth
  3. If Kylissia really wanted to go beyond just surviving here in Aincrad, she would need to set goals for herself. First, she would need to get herself a statistical foothold and get herself situated, and find a build that suits her both in skill and aesthetic. Then, she would need to do what adventurers do: Seek out to carve a legacy by fighting against evil wherever it can be found. Killing monsters, looting treasure, helping those in need...once she manages to do enough of that, she might not need to grind as much if she could get herself into a stable position in life, where she wouldn't have
  4. They'd left the café behind, albeit Nymoria had risen with a grandiose amount of reluctance. She'd wanted nothing more than to remain seated for the remainder of the day, if not her life. Everything burned as she'd risen from the comfortable chair she'd been settled into, forced into movement by the ever growing annoyance that Musei had displayed at her tardiness. Now that she'd made it out into the street, she wasn't sure that she was feeling any better - everything still hurt, and each step felt like a singular moment of misery. But it is improving. Maybe sitting around would've made it wors
  5. Wulfrin groaned as the group continued towards the city gate. It's fine. Wulfrin found himself pinching the bridge of his nose as he attempted to shake of the growing anger. She's just poking fun. There's no harm in it. Just let it ride. As they approached the gate, Wulfrin snapped back into his more jovial state as if nothing had happened. The one constant of this gate in particular was the NPC guard. Marv, he had hear the man be called by several players that he traveled with. the name became synonymous with the guard to the point Wulfrin made sure to call out to him every time he passed thr
  6. She received the message not too long after she'd placed the order, and she happily bounded to the shop from the floor's teleporter. She'd been in a good mood lately, but as she entered the shop and found the pieces prepared and ready to go, her smile brightened immensely. A small glimmer in her eyes, she gave a collection of signs towards the shopkeeper after bowing deeply, her excitement beyond words. These pieces are masterful! I cannot believe the workmanship and dedication that went into each of them. I shall honour and cherish them, even when they become nothing more than memories of thi
  7. Nymoria walked along beside the other two, angling herself just so that she could see both of their faces as they spoke to one another. It made walking a bit awkward, but it was a skill she had developed some time ago. She couldn't help but giggle at the woman's commentary, covering the lower half of her face with her hands in order to hide her amusement, if only slightly. She gave up any pretense of appearance, however, as the woman tsked the attitudes and behaviours of the NPCs themselves, her hands drifting down to her sides as she shook with the quiet laughter. As the teal haired woma

  9. Maybe a good night's rest was all she needed. She carried herself from her bedroom that overlooked the mountainside from a large window carved out of the stone surface. Crossing the distance to her workshop on the bottom most part of her home, she would remove the black, longsleeved sweater she had slept in, leaving her in her baggy, gray pants and a wrap around her chest. It took awhile.. most of her crafting attempts for the day. Still pumping out creations, just not of the quality she needed. Why did they even have Rare and Uncommon items anyway? There was nothing stopping players fro
  10. "Whatever you say" Adeltye winked playfully to let him know she was only teasing him, making an 'ok' gesture by pinching her thumb and index finger together. She had to admit, the idea did seem pretty cool - let the holder of the leash do all of the hard work while the leashed follows along in their own world. Dare she say it was even a bit romantic? "You two have your fun with your leash adventures. Sorry, tether." The two gave her a bit more detail about what's to come. After meeting with the Alchemist Zachariah and completing their little job, he would send players to another two NPCs
  11. "Alright," Wulfrin said with a shrug. "Group up and hit it 'til it dies. Sounds like a plan." The ever loving group mom that was Ciela always warmed his heart. Having constantly fresh snacks being handed out like candy was nice and comforting. It worked wonders when it came to the ever looming threat of death in this virtual prison to which their lives had fallen victim to. Wulfrin enjoyed the little snack he was provided with gusto. By the look on The Lightbringer's face, he did as well. Thrump The ground quaked as the heavy footfalls of a large creature impacted the ground. Im
  12. "You do have a plan right Star?" His expression was neutral but his eyes aflame. "Win," he replied with a thumbs up. The trio followed him past the gates of Florenthia and back into the wild Forest of the Great Tree. The Monkey King's lethality came from its surprising nature. Locals of Florenthia often said that finding the beast was impossible; but, spend some time in the forest and it would eventually find you. Darkness did not hinder the king, nor did physical obstacles like trees or hills. It was a behemoth built from pure rage, unstoppable if not kept in check. "I don't ha
  13. Wulfrin warned the three girls no to go too far, so that if anything dangerous came up, he could protect them. "Don't worry, Wulfrin, we won't!" Almina assured. What she could not assure, however, was that she wouldn't drift off within sight. From a search around the floral foliage to a gaze into the sky, she saw clouds in all kinds of shapes and sizes. as her imagination became active and her walking began to slow, the skies slowly turned from blue to gray, from gray to dark gray, then from dark gray to a dark, grayish crimson...and with a flash of nonexistent lightning, a storm passe

  16. "My username is pretty much the same everywhere," He said as he gently ran his fingers through her copper hair. "Message me when we get out of this virtual prison and we can try and meet up." When they get out. The thought had come almost naturally to Wulfrin. Up until recently, he had all but resigned himself to believe he would die in here. Now he had something to fight for, beyond just going home. Sure he had family waiting for him to logout and remove the literal microwave from his head, but he had spent so long without them, that he was beginning to forget who he was out there. It wa
  17. She'd eaten as slowly as she possibly could, consuming each bite as if it pained her to end it. Which wasn't as far from the truth as it could have been, the idea of ending the meal and having to focus on the quest she had put aside for the day - an activity that would mean she would have to continue moving when her body already felt like it was going to collapse under her - made her want to do nothing more than remain in the lounging bench of the café. At least it's nice and soft...and welcoming...I never want to get up again. Her reprieve and desire was broken, however, when the form of
  18. Opening the door to the shop Katoka heard the gentle sound of a bell as she stepped inside. Having met the owner briefly during the last floor raid, she had heard through the vine that she made beautiful jewelry on top of being a skilled fighter. The blonde had found herself needing something to increase her odds of getting better loot drops and finally had worked up the courage to stop by. Her eyes fell on the block cat on the counter and it had taken everything in her power to not squeal at first sight. Instead she approached and let him sniff her hand before patting him on the head. Fu
  19. Ciela reddened as Nymoria stated, "Why are you leashed to him? Is he your master?" Before she could say anything explaining her case, Wulfrin explained the "book leash." She knew it was a funny idea, but it's the best she'd found so far. Ciela had problems focusing on things sometimes, so when she did she would read a book for a few moments and be able to focus again. She called it her recharge time. Ciela chuckled, "I know it's strange. But I trust Wulfrin with my life. And that's a heavy thing to state in this game." As Wulfrin suggested them take on a dungeon, Ciela glared at him.
  20. Ciela rested on the blanket next to him, resting her head on his chest. "I think we could work in real life. To be honest, I'm quite stubborn in real life. I don't like to give things up that easily. You're definitely one of the things I would put up a fight for." She thought about the journey she'd been on since Aincrad began and what went on before she'd met Wulfrin. For a while she was sleeping in random houses or even the benches in the town of beginnings. She'd slept near the cathedral for a while there, which is how she was knowledgeable about the pricing with the different package
  21. Ciela smiled, "Hello Sewallus! Glad to have you with us." She put her book away for a moment. "I'm just here to watch basically. I'm gonna stand there, look pretty and try not to get hit. I've heard the monkey king packs a punch." She looked the now trio that she was trailing behind. "Oh! Before I forget!" She materialized four medium sized tins. "I made food for the road. In case we got hungry. I even packed an extra just in case." She then handed them out to Star, Wulfrin, and Sewallus. "It's nothing fancy, just some chicken wraps. With cut veggies as a side. That way we aren't struggl
  22. She slumped into the booth with a resigned sigh and a less than graceful thump. She'd argued with Musei for about ten minutes before giving into the weasel's stubbornness. No matter what argument she'd thrown at him, he'd ignored her and simply thumped his tail in a sign of disagreement. Eventually, tired and not desiring to argue any further, she'd relented and told him that they could go - but it would be a late breakfast. The weasel had simply acknowledged the comment before striding over to it's bed and curling up into a small ball, clearly content to wait out her preparations. A lar
