  2. Jomei peeked into the slightly ajar door to his workshop as he entered his home from a day out. He stared for a moment, not having spent much time in there lately. A single, empty recording crystal sat on a music stand, just waiting to be filled with music. "Hm.. maybe I should get back into it.." he said to himself, gently pushing the door open with his shoulder. Each foot step echoed throughout the small chamber as he made his way to a lute that leaned against the wall. Plucking a string to find the right tune, he began to play. 3. "Lets do this." the green clad duelist would say with a smirk before taking off running towards the players' quarry. Jomei would slow his roll so he could fall back into Nari's shadow, running along her flank closely. As the woman popped into the air with a twirling motion, the ginger broke off to the opposite end of the monsters gathered. Allowing Nari's attack to land on two of the creatures, a small gathering of frost clinging to their bodies, Jomei followed up with two large horizontal strikes deep red gashes appeared on three of the four Knights. The limbs and muscles of each one hi
  4. "I would say its my second language." the ginger said with a beaming grin. "We spoke English at home.. but I was learning the language while I was at school. Luckily I picked up enough before we moved out of the country. Had a nice refresher when I went back for later education." Placing an arm across his abdomen, the other extended outwards, he would playfully, yet formally, bow his upper body in her direction. "Is liomsa an sásamh ar fad" he would say, tilting his chin upwards to look at her before raising to a standing height once more. Turning his attention to Koga, who had com
  5. Just as quickly as the small bout had begun, it had come to an end. Jomei's devastating attack against the four, alien like creatures was followed up by Koga's attack of the same nature. The dark haired man and his familiar easily finished off three of the monsters, leaving only a single one clinging to a quarter of its life. Jomei's emerald eyes swung to the last of the Knights as it rushed towards the ginger, rearing back its rake-like claws before slashing out at him. Bringing up his rapier to create a thin, but powerful wall between himself and the attacking enemy, the duelist took a retre
  6. Oh, touchy topic I suppose... The ginger grimaced slightly and turned his attention away from Yona for the moment. Her lack of response and hidden expression was all Jomei needed to understand that she still wasn't exactly feeling too thrilled about her luck in the tournament. Water rose a bit closer to his neck as he allowed himself to sink further into his seat, clearing his throat as a sort of reset to the conversation. His own emerald gaze shifted to meet Lessa's as she continued on this train of thought regarding a 'wild and crazy time.' Apparently, to her, the 'adult' in quest
  7. The creatures that gathered together were vaguely humanoid in shape, though their features were much more angular and elongated. Jomei looked across at them with a curious hum.. he hadn't seen monsters like them before. It was possible that they could pose a challenge, to the wrong players at least. To the three of them, however, Jomei was confident they could make quick work and pull some gain some loot from their victory. With a grip around the handle of his rapier, the ginger took off running, following Nari into the fray. She had chosen to deliver a quick attack, simply to catch the
  8. Jomei sat in the grass beside the shore once Koga was on dry land once more. Gripping the bottom of his shirt, he began to ring it out, the water the fabric had collected trickling out onto the grass beside him. "Not too much luck." he said with a shake of his head, "I think I found just one so far." The ginger simply chuckled in response to Nari's joke about tossing the man back into the water. It was lighthearted and fun, but with the glares Koga had been shooting at Nari since they had arrived.. it probably wouldn't sit well. And Jomei would rather not take any sides in this predicament.
  9. "Oh no need to apologize, I'm sure you're much better at it than I am." Jomei said with a smile, dismissing Nari's bashful apology with a wave of his hand. "Honestly.. I've never really been much of a gatherer, but maybe I should start in my free time." He found himself laughing to himself as he slightly shifted his position, gently brushing his fingers through another patch of taller grass. "I find myself going on walks a lot, either to just clear my head, or when I need to organize all the thoughts in there." Finding a material nestled within the nest of green grass, Jomei retrieved it and

  11. The ginger's brow furrowed as Nari began to explain the science behind the method of gathering. Bringing his arms up, he would cross them at his chest as he allowed the woman to talk, watching her as she dug through the dirt to try and find anything that she could use as a material. Koga, on the other hand, went off to the side of the nearby river to fish.. That was definitely a skill that seemed to be more up and coming more recently. "Just because I'm not the gathering type, doesn't mean I don't know how it works." he said with a small chuckle as he stepped over to a bed of small grass
  12. "Huh" Jomei said with a small nod, looking towards the NPC, "I see." "Well, if I'm being honest.. I'm not the more persistent crafter. So I don't use materials very often... Maybe I'll pick it back up soon, we don't have enough consistent Performers in the field." B Loosely balled fists slid into the pockets of his pants as he took slower steps forward in Nari's direction, denoting a beginning to the garden where they would gain the ability to find materials more easily. "In reality, I came here in search of these items I heard of.. called Demonic Shards. I heard they can be used to great
  13. There were plenty of comfortable looking spots in the spring, some more secluded, some with a better view -- whether it was the scenery or other occupants. Even where the ginger decided to park himself was a pretty prime spot, but as he shifted to get a better look at where Morningstar sat, the rocks behind him allowing the man to recline as if he were sitting in a La-Z Boy chair.. perfect spots for his arms and all. "Seems your right, guess you've got quite the eye for premium seating in an onsen" he said before laughing at how ridiculous he sounded. Jomei wasn't able to lean back as comforta
  14. Jomei shone a side eyed glance towards Koga, a curious brow raising to the middle of his forehead. The man seemed engrossed in his inbox, quickly sending small messages, and getting responses back within a few short moments. His gaze did not stray long, as to not make the man uncomfortable or pry into the private conversation he held with another. In the same moment he had turned his attention forward once more, the three had made it to the garden, and Nari was addressing the NPC known as Nemo. The ginger looked upon the quest giver with a furrowed brow, curious as he dug through his own memor

  16. Jomei stood in the front of the shop for a moment, just looking at the different decor that was set up, waiting for Koga to return. After a few moments, he came back with a simple rapier. "That should do perfectly, thanks." Taking the weapon from Koga, Jomei brought it over to the table where the other pieces were arranged. He set the newly crafted rapier beside the jade hilt, placing the Gleaming Scale between them. Tapping the the three items, they became engulfed in a white light before creating a single weapon. Jomei continued to follow suit, combining that new piece with the thin met
  17. "Oh?" Jomei blinked wide, not expecting Koga's compliment atop his apology. Fingers pinched at the ends of his cloak as he opened it up, peeking down at his attire for the day. The same long green and black coat he typically wore. Turning his gaze back up to Koga, he grinned, "Well, thank you." Had he done something different today, or was Koga just being kind? The three had finally disembarked, with the familiar sight of Nari taking the lead towards their quest objective. Jomei didn't have any memory of taking this quest before, at least not on this floor. It seemed a lot of the quests t
  18. Just one quick round of attacks from the three players, and the Terra Firma's health bar was already dipping rather low. Another few successful strikes, and they would be able to call this quest completed. Each of their attacks so far managed to strike at the giant bullette's weak points below its armored hide, allowing them to deal a little bit of extra damage. Preparing another attack, Jomei took in a deep breath as he scanned for the best approach. Charging at full speed through the sand was difficult, but they were managing thus far. Another boost of his Charge skill would have been
  19. "Hey, Koga." The ginger entered the establishment with a smile and a wave. "Sorry to drop by without notice, I wanted to see if you could help me out with something.." Diving into his inventory, Jomei pulled out enough items to cover a table top; a jade hilt, a finely crafted, thin point blade, and his own rapier, Nihilim's Wrath. Along with the various implements to the perfect weapon, he also pulled out three Gleaming Scales and a dark Demonic Shard. "I got my hands on these rapier pieces.. the stats on them are great alone.. but I feel they can make something better if the
  20. Picking up. You're a gentleman (woman?) and a scholar.
  21. Jomei's eyes ping-ponged back and forth between Nari and Koga, the latter seeming to not want to hear anything Nari had to say. Yet, here he was out with them on this quest. Even if it was for his own personal gain, he could found anyone else to make the trek out with him. His lips pressed together into a tight line, the awkwardness of being included in this tense conversation settling in. "Hey hey its alright." the ginger said, raising his hands with his palms facing outwards towards her, "Sounds like if you guys tried to have this conversation before meeting me, I would have been waiti
  22. Jomei the emerald duelist The grapevine that was Aincrad’s social scene proved to be useful for many things. Finding out what players are in need of help or tales of veteran players being told as if they were some folk heroes. One of the most talked about topics, and more useful for that matter, was the talk of quests possibly unknown to the masses, and with Floor Twenty Seven newly unlocked, there was much to be discovered about the uncharted territory. All Jomei could pick up from eavesdropping on a small group of passeybys was that th
  23. Jomei the emerald duelist Emerald eyes gazed out across the vast, ocean-covered floor. The sun's light, still peeking out from under the cover of the floor above, glittered against the gently rolling water like bouncing crystals of white. Each deep inhale he took through his nose brought with it a whiff of the briny ocean water. He found it pleasant, adding an extra layer to the serenity of his walk across one of the length bridges that stretched between two of the neighboring islands. The last time he had made his presence on the
  24. Jomei the emerald duelist The excitement of the day's events simmered as the sun continued to set, bringing with it a chill to the air as darkness spread over Baldur's teardrop island and the rest of the floor with it. Even as the combatants and observers began to finish their plates, there was an air of curiosity at what would happen next. Their minds did not have to linger on the thought for long, as Baldur drew the attention of the masses once again. Conversations came to a halt as Baldur's voice carried over them. Once again, their
  25. Shifting his position, Jomei turned around and instead leaned his back against the guiding rope, the planks of the suspended bridge pulling and creaking with every little motion. Allowing his head to lull back, staring up at the large, gray slate that served as the ceiling to this floor, and the platform that housed the Twenty First floor above them. It was high enough above them that players could easily find themselves lost in the beauty of a floor, but low enough to serve as a constant reminder that they were nowhere near clearing this game. Lids closed over emerald eyes with a small sigh,
