  1. After his first attempt in attacking the living armour had been of no success, Hei decided that it was time for some more advanced tactics. So instead of simply rushing in, using his shield to just block some of the enemy hits and use the trident for plain attacks, he would let Huatli do a good deal of the job, attacking the armour and showing him it's weakpoints, while he would try to dodge some of the armours attacks.

As he had expected, the armour raised the shield when he came back for his second attack, and it was able to block the plain hit, but Hei simply used this to get around the side, charge his swordskill, and when he heard Huatli hiss, he released the swordskill, landing multiple heavy hits on the armour and even hitting the spot Huatli had cleared of heavy armour. What he hadn't thought of was, that the armour used the short handled axe to block on of his swings, and now instead started a quick combination of attacks against him. The shield in his left hand helped him take the blow off some of the hits, but the axe still hit him multiple times, letting his HP drop further. And not just that, his attack had not done as much damage as he had thought it would deal. The monster still had nearly 75% of it's HP left, when the first one had been down to two thirds after his first hit. - this must be a tougher variant of the living armour, but I should still be able to kill it with ease - he thought, while he got some distance between himself and the armour.

  2. Tightening the grip on his trident Hei quickly rushed in on one of the living armours, that was far enough from the next, so he would be able to fight just this one without getting aggro from the other one. The moment he had started to charge, Huatli had focused the armour, and even though she was still not bigger than a dog, the raptor was quite fast. Rapidly charging the armour she overtook Hei after just two steps and jumped the armour from nearly three meters, jumping high enough to land on it's shoulders and attacking the helmet that was looking different from the last one. Hei charged his spear, trying to attack where Huatli had pulled a piece of the Helmet, but the armour was fighting differently from the last one. A shield got raised and the spear hit it, not doing any damage, while the living armour used a short axe to slash at Hei, who wasn't quick enough to jump back, getting hit for quite a bit of damage. "Agh, damnit! Should have paid more attention to the kind of weapon it has" he hissed underneath his breath. This fight would be a lot harder than the last one.

After the destruction of the previous dragon hatchling, yet again you have received a message about the next dragon hatchlings location, this time around… it seems to know a language that you cannot decipher, in which they assume is elvish. While locating this boss it was said Dragon Cultists had came to its aid shortly after them spotting the boss.

It had been some time, since the Guardians of the new Dawn had gathered to kill the second Dragon Hatchling and gained the second of the dragon's stones. As Stryder had been busy lately, Hei had decided he would plan and organize their third dragon fight after he had heard rumours of the dragon appearing on the third floor. It seemed the creature was able to speak in some exotic tongue and as the dragon lives on the third floor, it probably is elvish, or maybe treant? - So with the dragon being able to talk, there could be some more complications with that. But I don't think it will really be a problem, maybe just a few "friends" helping it, but with many of us being quite high level for this fight, we should have no problems - Hei thought.
What else would he have to do, before they could start the run? Well, of course he had to message all that want to be part of it, and once they were there, they probably should arrange groups for fighting the dragon and possible mobs that want to help him. With this in thought, he thought about who had been part of their last dragon hunt and messaged them.

@Saphira, @Stryder, @Embers, @Eatos, @Pinball, @Froppy Hey Guys, I just found out where to find the third dragon, wanna come along and fight it? It might be a little more fighting than last time, as it is possible that it can summon some mobs helping him, but it shouldn't be a problem. If you do wish to come with us, please tell me and let's meet on the third floor.

    • The Materials Gathered

    Summary:

Marking the beginning of each tier (Floors 1, 11, 21, etc.), these levels of Aincrad in particular each seem to have various locations among the floors that are bursting at the seams with crafting materials. They are easier to find than other hunting grounds on comparable floors, with short respawn rates to make them the best locations to hunt for materials.

If the floor is vegetated, players can find a <<Garden>>. If there are a lot of buildings on the floor, players can find a <<Courtyard>>. If the floor is underground, players can find a <<Cavern>>. Many NPCs give away these farming locations, telling players about this amazing opportunity of extra materials, whether it be from plentiful monster drops or from the safer areas outside of town that make for easy, peaceful fishing and gathering.

Searching:  LD rolls of 11-14 give 1 material.  LD rolls of 15+ give 2 materials.  Gatherer skill is added to this roll as well.

Fishing:  Monsters and bosses never spawn.  Fishing receives no bonus materials.  CD 12s require a LD of 15+ (modifiers allowed) to fish up a treasure chest.  If 1-14, players receive 4 materials.

Treasure Chests:  LD of 1-3 does not result in a mimic, but drops (Floor * 25) col and one material.

Looting Mobs:  Loot required mobs always drop (HP * 4) col and 1 material as default drops.

    Requirements:

    • At least one [1] Page (20 or more posts)
    • Mobs MUST meet or exceed the loot minimum parameter.

Hei had had a busy week, and when the weekend came, he had no materials left to work with. With this knowledge, he decided that this Saturday was going to be a day full of work. There was a garden on the first floor, where one could quickly gather a lot of materials, and as they were what he was looking for, he would be doing some fine garden work. - I have never been there before, but I heard lot's of rumours about it, so it should be true. I wonder if Huatli will like it there  -he wondered, but as he had to get the materials, he would find out later, once he was there. As he was on the first floor, and if there were any monsters, they would probably be so weak, he could fight them without any problem, he didn't have to equip his combat gear, but just his shorts and the black top, with his flowing cloak representing his guild, and also enhancing his ability to gather materials.

  5. It had been a few days, since he had had his last customer, when Dustin entered the Hanger and walked straight up to him, asking him if he was the owner of the shop. "Yes, I am indeed the owner of the Hanger. My name is Hei, the Champion of the New Dawn. How can i help you?" he told the player, who grabbed an order form and started filling it in and told him, that he did not need to rush, as he knew how hard crafting could be in this game. Having a look at the form, Hei smiled, but before he could reply, @Dustin walked towards the door, then realizing he hadn't have the money to pay at the moment, so Hei quickly called out to him "Don't worry about the money, I am most pleased to help lower level players, so it will be for free, I'll message you, once the item is done."

Message: Hey Dustin, your item is ready for pick up. You can have it for free, even though I would be thankful for any kind of donation.

Later that day another player entered his shop, and her entrance was not the usual one, Hei saw how the door opened, and before he could welcome the player, she stumbled and fell over. Hei quickly walked over to her to help her get up again. When she walked over to the counter with him, she opened her mouth, but for a short moment there was just silence, as it seemed she had forgotten what exactly she wanted to order. After this moment, she filled in an order form and handed over the col for the item she had ordered. Before she could leave the shop, Hei had to tell her "I will try to craft your item as quick as possible, but I am out of material at the moment, so it could take some time. How about you grab the dragon claws for now, and I'll message you once the item is done?" @Rithe

  7. Hei continued following the path he had just found while his energy was slowly recharging, and it seemed the route was working. without any problems he was able to gather another three materials in just five minutes. When he had a look at his energy gauge, it was nearly full, so Hei knew he would start his next battle soon, but before he would do so, he had to find a few more materials. Leaving the route he had saved in his notebook, he found a small patch of dark soil, that somehow looked like it had been dug over lately, so he kneeled down and examined the soil, just to find that there was some kind of potato like fruit hidden in there. He quickly dug them up and found two of those fruit, that seemed like they were some kind of gum fruit. He put them into his inventory, and just at this moment his energy was back full. - Nice, so I can go and fight the next armour monster and see what loot it will leave for me - he thought and quickly changed back into full battle gear. Then he turned to Huatli, who was chasing a butterfly that was flying from flower to flower. "Huatli, let it go, we have to fight again. Aren't you happy about that?" and it indeed seemed she was, as she ran to him, hissed and jumped up and down, waiting for him to order her to attack.

  8. Hei had to walk slowly, not to stumble and let the girl fall to the ground, so he had one hand at the wall. After some time he could hear the steps of Kioshi behind him, which made him think that the warrior probably had killed the golem. Before Kioshi had reached him, Hei could see the light of the caves entrance. "Here we go, can you see the light" Hei said to the girl as he reached the exit. The small girl on his shoulder was about to jump from his arms, but Hei held her there, so she started to nag and struggle. As Hei's eyes got used to the bright light again, he saw the mother waiting for her child, so he let go of her. The mother ran towards the small girl that made her way to the mother instantly, and once they hugged in the middle, Hei decided that his work was done. He walked away a little, so Kioshi could finish the quest. While he did so, Hei had a look at the surrounding area for something of worth.

  9. Hearing Jonathan say, that they had to go down to the lake that lay before them, and that the boss they were going to fight had to be found with luck, he was trying to recollect, what he knew about the quest they were going to do. - I believe it was called the King of Lakes, so it probably is a monster related to the lake, so maybe a fish or some kind of elemental monster. And if it requires luck to find it, we either have to search for it because it's hidden, there might be a chance that it appears when killing smaller mobs, or if it's a fish, we might actually have to fish it up - Hei was thinking while they walked down the road towards the lake.
Once they arrived there, Hei was able to see a middle aged man that was looking at the lake, having a line cast out there. As he had no Idea what to do now, Hei turned to Jonathan and asked him
"Okay, so here we are. What kind of Boss is it we are fighting, and how do we find it. As long as it's not this man over there, I don't see anything we could fight:" and he smiled as he said this.

    @Morgenstern

  10. With the small girl on his arm, Hei was not able to help Kioshi fight the stone golem, that had started to attack the armoured old man. Hei wished he could, but he was sure that Kioshi was trained well enough to end the fight on his own. He had seen the swordsman's first attack, and it had been a nice blow to the golem's HP. "Keep up the good fight, I'm sure you'll hit it next time" he tried to encourage the old man, while he was still holding the child, that had stopped crying for the moment. He turned to the girl and instantly his voice got soft again. "Don't worry, we'll be out of this dark cave in no time" and just as to strengthen his words, he started moving towards the tunnel they had come from to make his way out into the light. It would take him some time to get out of this cave, but as long as he was walking the girl would be quiet, as she was full of hope at this moment.

  12. It had been a busy day in the store, with Artemis coming and picking up her items, thanking him for his good service and Kiro telling him what kind of item he needed, and that he wouldn't take anything as a gift at the moment, so Hei had to do a lot of work. He still had some order to finish before he could start working on Kiro's order, so he left the boy in the shop room and walked over to where his workshop was and started working on the orders. Pretty quick he was done with the Trenchcode Slayer had ordered.
With the item ready, he continued working on Kiros item, and within a short time he was done with it, returning to the boy and telling him. "Here you are, your Item is ready and you can take it once you paid."

Later that day a player that had been here once already came back, it was Merlin"Nice to see you again, so what item can I craft for you" he asked, and got the request and the col to pay for it. "Okay, I'll message you once it's done" he said before Merlin left again. Working on this additional order, he used up all the mats he had left, but was successful.

  14. After he had finished the items Pick had ordered, he had decided that he had done enough for the day, and had simply waited for Pick to come by and pick them up, using the time to browse the skill tab of his menu, finding out what the Rank up in his Tailor skill would do for him, and found out, that it completely deleted the chance of destroying mats without a chance of salvaging them. - That's nice, even though my enhanced Loom did evade that anyways - he thought. Once Pick had been there, Hei had closed the shop and went to his living room, playing with Huatli and talking to Fae a little.

The next morning he opened his shop as early as ever, making sure every player that was looking for him would be able to find him. It was still early, so there weren't any customers, and Hei started working on the remaining orders but it didn't go as well as he hoped. Even with ten attempts on crafting, he only finished one of the items that had been ordered. When the Cape was finished, Hei messaged @Artemis that her item was ready for pickup.

Later that day, a young blue haired boy entered his shop and told him, that he was here to ask for a piece of light armour and then filled in an order form. Then he started looking around in his shop and introduce himself. "Nice to meet you Kiro, my name is Hei. Is there anything else I can help you with besides that armour? I got this offer going, where I let lower level players take one piece of equipment from my in stock items for free"

A chunk of stone flew away, just to dissolve into pixels, but the golem's body continued walking towards the two of them, now prioritising the old man, as he had hit it in the head. Strange groaning noises, came from the golem as it started to follow the armoured man, who had fallen back towards the next wall, maybe trying to lure the monster away from the child. - He still is quite a low level, I don't thin his damage will be enough to kill the monster any time soon, even with his first blow dealing nearly half of it's HP. I can attack it without killing it, so he can deal the killing damage - Hei thought, and as he was worried about the girl, simply stabbing at the golem without using any swordskill at all, and walked right up to her. The attack hit it's target, dropping the golem's HP into the yellow, but Hei wasn't even paying attention any more, as he walked over to the girl and in soft voice said "Don't worry my little one, we will protect you and lead you back to your mum" and as the girl calmed down a little, he made his spear disappear and then he patted her back and finally lift her of the ground, holding her against his shoulder, still soothing her with soft voice.

  16. As his energy slowly started to charge back up, Hei felt that he could use the time for some more gathering. With the knowledge he had gained from before, e was sure he could find a route in here, that would lead him to a few of the gathering spots in just the right time so they would respawn before he got there, so he could farm the materials he was here for more efficiently. - I know I haven't done much for my magazines journals, but this might be one of the things I will do an article about. It's not just that the quest hadn't been there in the beginning, but also the game had started to change a little to appeal to it's players - was what he was thinking while he walked around, always looking out for the living armours, as he didn't want to get into a fight before his energy was back up to it's maximum.
The route he had found was indeed quite efficient, and so within a few minutes he had gathered a total of five mats, and he would be able to continue this probably if there wasn't any varability in the spawn timers he didn't knew of.

  17. Once he had asked Kioshi about his opinion on calling for the small child they were looking, he watched the man closely, as he wasn't sure if the man would answer in word, or maybe just some gesture, and so he noticed the thoughtful face the old man was making. Then he saw, that the man seemed to have come to a conclusion, but before he could see what the conclusion was, Hei heard a loud scream of fear that must have come from the little girl they were looking for. Without hesitation Kioshi drew his blade and rushed towards the source of the scream.
Hei of course followed the man, his spear in hand, charging through the dark after him. When they entered a huge cavernous room, there was a strange light, not bright enough to actually help them fight, but enough to see the small girl pressed against a wall, with something moving towards her. "Stay there, we are here to save you!"  Hei yelled, so both the girl and what ever it was that attacked her turned towards him. In the damp light, it seemed as if a part of the cave itself started moving at him, as the stone golem started it's attack by rattling towards him and flailing it's stony arms at Hei, who quickly jumped back, evading the attack.

  19. Yesterdays crafting hadn't been to successful, so Hei was eager to finish the items Pick and Artemis had ordered, as he knew how bad it was to wait for one's order to get finished. So when he woke up early in the morning, he had a short breakfast and started working on their orders even before the shop was open, but it seemed the game didn't like him that much this morning, as two of his four attempts were not just failed, but failed so bad, that the material got destroyed without the slightest chance of salvaging the bad product. A little bit demotivated by this, he decided that he would continue later this afternoon with crafting and instead open the store a little earlier, so he had something else to do. And indeed, shortly after he had opened the shop, a red haired girl entered his shop. She didn't look to happy to be here, but after having a short look, she told him that she needed some new equipment, that should look like a ww2 trench coat and that would have to be enhanced, once she was done, she told him to notify her once her item was done and left quickly. - It's strange how many people come here lately, that seem to don't like talking that much- he thought, before he decided that he had to fill out an order form for her and then go and work on the items he had to craft. And after a few not so successful attempts, he was able to create a cloak that would suit Picks needs, also ranking up his Tailoring skill "Nice one, so now it should be a little easier to craft items, but I think I have to get another rank up for the perfects to be more accessible"  he mumbled, before continuing crafting and also finishing the second Item Pick had ordered.

  20. So Stryder was not to serious about what Huatli did, as he laughed when the small raptor had hissed and jumped back. It seemed Silver was more of the problem, as she looked a little intimidated, more or less hiding behind Stryder himself. His friend then told him, that he thought of the weapon as a chance to fight enemies he wasn't able to directly attack, as he could get some damage through their immense armour, and then with a grin he had added that he hadn't found any of those. "You're right, there aren't many mobs that have high enough armour to protect them from your fancy martial arts fighting, but I very well remember fighting against mobs that just took no damage from my attacks. And I think I still don't deal as much damage as you do."   he told his friend. With them talking about the spear and what he could do with it, Hei realized, that it might be better to enhance the bleeding effect or something like that instead of adding raw damage, as that wouldn't really matter if he just used the weapon for heavy armoured enemies. Then he remembered, that they met to get the item and asked Stryder "How about we start heading out towards the frozen caves, and maybe fight some weaker ice elementals on our way, just for fun of course" he added with a smile in his face.

  21. So after he had introduced himself, the male player had smiled at him, even though the smile didn't really look all to happy. Hei wasn't sure what it was, but it seemed as if he had to force it, and when he started to introduce himself as "Jonathan, the Paladin of ..."  and then had to stop and correct himself, as there was nothing he was the paladin of, Hei was sure there had to be some reason for him to feel bad. He had seen, how Jonathan had lost the smile when this mistake had happened, and it had not just been him, but the blonde that was standing next to him as well. - Maybe they have been through a hard time together. As it sounds, it could be that they were part of a guild that had been disband lately - he thought, and just in case of this being the case, he decided to not mention it in any future conversation, unless they would start talking about it on their own.
The female that had reacted with Jonathan making the mistake of more or less mentioning their guild was of less words. She simply said that she was Kasier and that was it. Hei was okay with this, as she knew a lot of people which were sparse with words. Besides her not being a person of much words, it seemed she was eager to finally start what they were here for, as she told them to not waste time anymore, and instead head out to complete the quest as quick as possible.
"Okay, I am ready to go, just show me where we have to go and I'll follow you two." he told them, and as it seemed they were about to start the quest soon, he quickly changed into full battle gear, equipping the new shield he had gotten from Eatos and getting a better grip on his trident.

  22. After his last customers had picked up the items he had crafted for them, Hei had some free time to go and organize his shop, before the next players would come and get some new items. he had just started sorting the fabric, when Pick entered his shop once again. He had been here before, and he had ordered a cape, but he was not wearing it, which made Hei think, and when he had filled out the order forms and handed them to Hei, he was even more surprised. - Why would he buy so many capes? Especially with the first one doing what his new one would do. Maybe there is some reason why he doesn't want to wear it anymore. - But he wouldn't show his wonder to Pick and simply replied "Okay, I will work on both of them. I'll message you once they are done" and so he thought that his job was done for today, but he was wrong, as not to much later a blonde entered his shop, looked at the items in his shop and then filled in the form for some custom item. She was quick at thanking him before he even had started and before he could reply to her, she had already gone.

  23. When Hei had killed the giant bat, Kioshi had watched it die, before he had turned towards Hei. The metal helmet hid nearly his whole face, so Hei couldn't see his expression, but the old man bowed at least a little, probably thanking him for ending the fight. - He seems to be polite, but still he hasn't said a single word. It's really strange, but I can't force him to talk to me - Hei thought, while he saw that Kioshi turned away and started walking deeper into the cave, his sword resting on his shoulder.
Seeing the heavy armoured fighter, Hei had to think of a knight, but none of those shiny ones that fight only for their pride and honour, but one that had actually had a rough life helping others out in the real world. He marched into the deeper parts of the cave, and it seemed that he did so without actually being focused, so after a short while of walking, he turned back to Hei, looked at him, but he still lead them deeper into the cave.
"You know, maybe the kid is to scarred to be heard. Maybe she is holding her breath in fear, what'd you think about us calling for her?" he asked the man, as it seemed a good idea to get the child's attention to find her.

  24. Before he had gone to change into something more comfortable than his battle gear too, Saphira had replied to his compliment, telling him, that she could wear cloth like these more often, if it wasn't that cold. Her instantly trying to appeal to him made him smile, but he didn't say anything.
Once he had changed, Saphira told him that he was beautiful as well, while she hugged him. This must have been the first time he realized, how close she was to him, when hugging. She had hugged him before, but this hug was something different. There were other feelings involved, and Hei's body felt less awkward with it. He could feel her warmth at his arms, where there skin touched, and he noticed, that he had goosebumps. - This feels so good, and it is weird at the same time. Maybe I'm just not used to being hugged like this - he thought, while the goosebumps got stronger and his face turned from the lightly more red of his blushing to tomato red. Of course Hei returned the hug, and when they were so close that he thought he must stop breathing, he closed his eyes and leaned in for a gentle kiss. When his lips touched those of Saphira, his world nearly blacked out again, but this time he was able to enjoy the kiss without fainting. After the short kiss, that felt like it was for ever, Hei's shoulders dropped, and all the tension that had built up was gone. A strange exhaustion took over, and Hei just said "It- It's so nice to have you. But I somehow don't feel to fit. How about we go to bed now?"

  25. Saphira had stuttered a little bit, when she had replied to his offer, and it seemed she thought of it as a bad one. She did not just tell him that he didn't have to do that, but also she asked him to not do that. So far for his first impression as a boyfriend. - Seems like I am absolutely terrible at that. It might have hurt if she had declined me, but maybe this terrible disaster of me wouldn't have come up - he thought, but he wouldn't tell her. Hei tried to hide that he was super nervous about all this, as he had never been with someone else before. There was only the traditional way in his family, so as long as he had been in the real world, he had to wait for the right one to marry her and learn all that, or be a total disappointment for the whole family, and he surely didn't want that. But this was something else. Within the game he could feel free and do how he liked without actually fearing his parents learning of him doing so.
When he returned from this world of dark emotions, he saw how Saphira changed her gear into short pants and a simple top, that revealed so much more of her beautiful body than the armour did.
"You are so beautiful like this, you should wear this kind of clothing more often" he said without really thinking about it and while he said it, he blushed and stared at her. Once he realized he was staring, he quickly looked down to the ground, to not stare any more, and so he didn't see that she blushed a little, when she asked him if he was gonna sleep in armour and cloak. Smiling a little, he walked into one corner of the room and with a few swiped of his hand, his battle gear disappeared and he was left with nothing more than short black pants and the shy look in his eyes.
