"I--" It took her a moment to realize what Koga was talking about. Then it struck her. Hard. Though this was no time for squabble, in Koga's defense, the man had a good point. Almost to which NIGHT did feel personally offended upon, because not only was it true that her priorities were incredibly obvious, but the sanctity of their friendship deserved an answer. So the player thought about it, painfully so, as she shuffled backwards towards her original herb spot. "... Look. Star was a newbie, so a fall like that would've killed her. Whereas you just dropped like maybe three

Movements barely perceptible to the human eye. And yet, at Koga's call, there was a sudden shift in the environment. It was in that moment that DAY did spring to action, and NIGHT took off running towards her friend. "How'd you get up there?!" A flash of light from the altar. Strikes -- not just one, but two blinded the beast as the construct attempted to jam her spear into its form. Nothing but spectacle came of it, with the similar message players were oft given for their jabs at a sedentary object. So there was nothing to be done about the beast. It reared backwards, alm

A single plant decimated in a matter of seconds through quick finger work. If the individual leaves mattered more than the plant, perhaps the medicine would've saw more common use. Alas, that was not the case -- and what she did collect had to maintain its quality, too. Broken or dented parts of a plant could cause it to rot quicker, NIGHT recalled from her studies. Once the first bundle was stored in her inventory, her next was found by a rock round a corner where she'd started. The player focused on it, trying to keep quiet, though she knew from the sear upon her back her presence was n

Blue leaves tinged with the colours of sunset. The description of the herbs was likely much better conveyed through sight than words, and so NIGHT turned to the plants, hoping with what little she could discern about their appearance in the dark would bear fruit, if she were to be careful. Though she stayed quiet, as though keeping the information to herself, her eyes were frantic in scanning the foliage around them. Sections in her vision were crossed out. A few steps in one direction, before she turned. When she could spot the fade of yellow to orange, she picked one of its leaves

"Safe zone," DAY responded, immediately to Koga's query about Ylvon. Similarly, to his prompt about preparations, the construct only tilted her head. "Was there something I should've been picking up on? For the record, I know only just as much as you two do. But--" A shared glance between the two women, and NIGHT nodded after a pause. "--Yeah. There's obviously going to be complications somewhere. Not that either of us happen to be familiar with the floor to say what it is, at least." "That's too bad..." Even with her words despondent, the entity carried a beam. From the ether a

[F1 – PP] A Second Attempt | <<The Second Lesson>>
NIGHT replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Beginner Floors
"Yeah," NIGHT replied, turning to the combatants as they were destroying the last boar. Hushed as secrets should be. "There was a system update and everything. The message should've been sent out to everybody." She pulled herself back from the fields, leaning against the wall, arms folded. There was no need for the party to figure she was watching -- rather, it felt like NIGHT needed the privacy more than the newbies. "NIGHT, I think I asked you this once a long time ago. You didn't answer then but...what if we never beat the game? Just kept on living in here?" The player though -

NIGHT replied to Koga's topic in Intermediate Floors
Oh. So she hadn't been hallucinating yet, despite being brought to wits end. There actually was a cat -- to whom her attentiveness peaked towards. NIGHT almost melted upon sight of it, tension in corners of her face released as her body worked to close the door behind the new entrant. Most likely someone not here for the party, she soon realized; the familiar, if it could be called one, was more important. (And adorable!!! mewww~) The woman kept a squeal in as its tiny paws were held up by the stranger. Almost bursting with energy. Then the question of responsibility was fired her w -
Small pieces of information scattered since their arrival. All she had to do was put them together, looking over the ingredients at the far table, the mess disorganized, and DAY knew of what was to come. "Well, we were here for our mission, but aside from that. Tiberius wanted a courier sent back to Dagan with some medicine for the injured miners, right?" The construct bowed her head towards her original, as NIGHT left, making sure that the man would catch her hint. Once that was conveyed, she turned to examine the path to the village. Though they were only stopped in a valley, the

[F1 – PP] A Second Attempt | <<The Second Lesson>>
NIGHT replied to Nari-Lanreth's topic in Beginner Floors
If she looked, it was only to wonder what was taking the duo so long. Past the gates into the Town of Beginnings, and neither party was beginning to show. What gives? It was through a sneak behind the wall that she observed the situation. Because after all the imposing, NIGHT didn't think it her place to say what she should do in light of beginners she would find, now or in the future. That her involvement would only make things worse, either for herself or the people she was trying to help. And the sight of a second, larger boar only made her wonder if they'd gotten into an addition -
Had the man kept pace with her, perhaps she would've been better positioned to help. Rather, caught in a duel between some random with a hammer, the disaster caused a number of crates to come crashing down and across the pathway towards their finish line. Even worse. Not that Koga had the insight she did from her position, but neither did she want to get caught up with a couple of strangers that seemed to appear, either. --At all. She swore the rowdiest of the bunch was the most eye-catching and hence a distraction if NIGHT were to be in her presence. No way. Neither did she ever like the

Faded and hazy. If it was only the women as copies, NIGHT would've admitted she was still waking up from the sudden nightmare. Instead, her eyes were glued to the herbs in her arms, rather than the growing audience before a couple of village leaders. Her voice was faint, figure small, without the suit to keep her form ambiguous. "You can say that again." The player found herself resistant to the heat, though not lacking of ashes stuck to cloth and hair. Had she looked in the mirror, she might've avoided being blunt while turning to Koga. "Also, you look like a mess." Her words were i

The last time she'd been in the middle of the ice lake was back with ChaseR. Tiny cat in her jacket. Though NIGHT was certain the familiar would grow, it was a miracle how similar to a liquid the creature was to maintain as a void in her pocket. Perhaps it was one of Cardinal's secrets, another lucky takeaway that she would keep for herself. She was already practicing one, with the skates on her shoes. Nyanko nuzzled up to her hand as she kept it in her pocket, fingers bare despite the chill. With the threat long eliminated from her presence multiple times over, she was certain

[SP-01] <<Shadowed Path>> Acquisition Thread
NIGHT replied to Plot Master's topic in Beginner Floors
she wouldn't feel it now. the pierce of that metal through her, deep in her skin. she wouldn't see it, wouldn't register it until later, in the crevices of her room, partway through dawn, when the edges of her confines were nothing more than creeping darkness. when the scars would burn once wood touched them. instead, night just shrugged it off. assassin wrangled off, the player just stared. in another time, another place, perhaps she would've moved. pinned the stranger down, straddled them unable to move, blade to their necks -- "was this what you'd wanted?" -- just to take the road
