  1. Everything was going smoothly. The two of them worked well together, so well that Wulfrin let his guard down almost entirely. He unwrapped a fresh donut that had been prepared for him a while back. he kept a nice little stash of all the discarded and non-stat boosting snacks that his sparkling future wife would simply throw out. He listened intently to the battle raging behind him. It was going well, Ciela had the wolves on the run and his attack had softened them up enough she could easily dispatch them. He heard the sound of Ciela's Sword art finding its mark, but there were only two sounds
  2. Just as quickly as it was handed out, lunch was brough to an end. While it was true Wulfrin was eager to recuperate the massive blow to his pocket book that was a wedding befitting a raid group, he still wanted to take the time to enjoy the meticulously prepared meal of his beloved. Her cooking never ceased to amaze him. it seemed like everyday she was developing some formula to recreate a new flavor from the real world. Her food was infinitesimally better than anything an NPC could produce, and it only got better the more she practiced within the kitchen of Fondante's Inferno. Wulfrin had bee
  3. Having failed his previous attempt, Wulfrin resigned himself to relaxing by the rolling river. Occasionally a fish would jump, causing him to peak out from behind his closed eyes at the sound of the plop. There was another reason he had decided to relax in the grass. He was attempting to sense the strange tremors that had been rumored. So far they seem to have subsided, but who could say if they were truly over. As he lay in the grass, the cool breeze almost lulling him to sleep, he heard his companions growing exceedingly frustrated. All he could do was snicker lightly under his breath. Truth
  4. Wulfrin groaned as the group continued towards the city gate. It's fine. Wulfrin found himself pinching the bridge of his nose as he attempted to shake of the growing anger. She's just poking fun. There's no harm in it. Just let it ride. As they approached the gate, Wulfrin snapped back into his more jovial state as if nothing had happened. The one constant of this gate in particular was the NPC guard. Marv, he had hear the man be called by several players that he traveled with. the name became synonymous with the guard to the point Wulfrin made sure to call out to him every time he passed thr
  5. "Alright," Wulfrin said with a shrug. "Group up and hit it 'til it dies. Sounds like a plan." The ever loving group mom that was Ciela always warmed his heart. Having constantly fresh snacks being handed out like candy was nice and comforting. It worked wonders when it came to the ever looming threat of death in this virtual prison to which their lives had fallen victim to. Wulfrin enjoyed the little snack he was provided with gusto. By the look on The Lightbringer's face, he did as well. Thrump The ground quaked as the heavy footfalls of a large creature impacted the ground. Im

  7. "My username is pretty much the same everywhere," He said as he gently ran his fingers through her copper hair. "Message me when we get out of this virtual prison and we can try and meet up." When they get out. The thought had come almost naturally to Wulfrin. Up until recently, he had all but resigned himself to believe he would die in here. Now he had something to fight for, beyond just going home. Sure he had family waiting for him to logout and remove the literal microwave from his head, but he had spent so long without them, that he was beginning to forget who he was out there. It wa
  8. "About sixty thousand col poorer," Wulfrin said with a chuckle as he sat down on the sprawled blanket. "Honestly though that was a lot easier than it would be in real life. Also way cheaper. I wish I could go and kill wild hogs for an afternoon and come home with a couple grand in cash." Wulfrin lay on the blanket staring up at the floor above them. The experiences of Sword Art Online never ceased to amaze him. Two years ago, he logged into a game he thought would be a fun little get away from the monotony of his real life. Then came the announcement signifying that this world was his new
  9. Wulfrin casually drew his sword as the party approached the dilapidated throne room. As was the usual for boss kills for experience, Freyd was in the lead. As casually as Wulfrin had witnessed before, Freyd waltzed into the room like he owned the place. A bold move considering the palace's owner sat in their throne, a massive great sword at their side. Wulfrin wasn't an appraiser, but he did know blades. This one in particular looked like it had seem countless battles, likely with other less prepared players than themselves. What was odd to Wulfrin's initial scan of the room. Typically you cou
  10. The cathedral in the Town of Beginnings wasn’t on Wulfrin’s top ten places to visit in Aincrad, but it was still a gorgeous sight to behold. It almost reminded him of the large scale catholic cathedrals in contrived like Rome. That was fitting considering most evidence pointed to Aincrad taking much of its inspiration from cultures around the world. He had been to floors dedicated almost entirely to Greek and Roman times. Obviously Ciela was being sarcastic with her statement on how little research she had done. Clearly she knew plenty. She walked right up to the NPC dressed as a cat
  11. “Welcome to the party Sewallus,” Wulfrin said as the NPC’s name and HP undated under theirs in the party info. “Glad to have you aboard. If you have any info on the beast, it would be very helpful. I heard you and Remington faced off with it before, but had to flee." "That's complicated," Sewallus sighed. "It was not by our fleet of foot that we escaped. More likely it was the beast got distracted or otherwise disrupted in some way. Sorry I don't have more info than that." "No worries. I'm sure Morningstar knows enough to get us by," Wulfirn smirked. "You do have a plan right Star? I
  12. “I feel like I should nip this in the bud,” Wulfrin said blushing slightly. “Nymoria is misrepresenting the situation. My sparkling future wife likes to read books. That being said she had the idea to commission a tether she could attach between us so she can follow behind me with her head buried in a book. It is 100% not a kink thing.” Wulfrin focused his attention to Nymoria. “Can you please stop describing me as a master? You can call Ciela Book Girl all you want. I just feel master gives the wrong impression.” Having said his piece, Wulfrin decided it would be best to just move on. Wi
  13. Solaris was resting within the flames of Wulfrin's forge. The phoenix that Wulfrin had tamed as a familiar never let the flames die out, so they had a mutual working relationship. The only time those flames went cold was when the two went hunting for long periods of time. The two had become quit ethe efficient hunting pair, able to fell monsters in tandem with relative ease. The sad truth was, Wulfrin did little actual forging these days. Only occasionally would he be approached by a newer player looking for a blade or armor, even rarer a frontliner looking for a small fusion. That meant busin
  14. Wulfrin had a very loose routine every morning. Get up, check gear, and work at the forge. Currently he was planning out the logistics of two big projects. The first of which was designing his tier 4 gear. He had been told not to worry about the price by Freyd, but he was still uncertain as to how well that would work out. He supposed The Whisper had plenty of stuff just laying around and taking up space, and was looking for any excuse to get one more item out of his cluttered inventory. Wulfrin planned to eventually pay him back, but that would likely require a large amount of dungeon grindin
  15. "Too be fair," Wulfrin said as he sent out the party invites to the group. "I'm mainly just there for someone to talk to. The system wont let me intervene in anyway, but it can't stop me form giving out advice. I can also keep the mobs that aren't part of your immediate task off of you, minimizing your chance of death. I do however know a pretty decent spot for getting the quest done. Once we get done with Zackariah I'll guide you there." Wulfrin rummaged around in his extradimensional inventory before pulling out a small pink tin. When he opened the tin, the scent of fresh baked pretzels
  16. "Her name is Nymoria," Wulfrin said with a smile. "She's new, but has been making an insane amount of progress lately. It might be best to remove your cowl for this adventure. She is hearing impaired, and being able to see your lips can help her better understand what you're saying." "Nymoria," He said making direct eye contact and ensuring he spoke clearly enough to be read. "This is Freyd. His appearance might initially be a bit on the harsh side, but he is actually a nice guy once you get to know him." "You mentioned betraying a king?" Wulfrin questioned as he turned his focus to
  17. Above the two of them was a ring of fire, created by the flight trail of a red and gold plumed eagle. Not long after the circle of flame appeared, a man approached the pair. He was adorned with a long red coat protected by armor plates on the shoulders and forearms as well as an ornate breast plate, emblazoned on which was a phoenix in flight. At his left side was a longsword. The man didn't appear to be immediately impeded by the cold, but upon a closer inspection one could see his visible discomfort. "There you are," Wulfrin said to Ciela as he approached the group. "I managed to locate
  18. "Nononono," Wulfrin panicked as the words weaseled their way into his mind. His cheeks had gone just about as red as the coat he wore. "She likes to bury her head in books, so she came up with the bright idea to tether herself to me so she doesn't get lost." He took a deep breath and recovered from the sudden and rather embarrassing question. Wulfrin had grown use to Ciela's clever way of reading books on the go. Though he couldn't quite understand how she could read the same five pages over and over again. How did he know the books were short? Simple answer, data storage. Every video gam
  19. "I can tell you are new because of your interaction with the Mayor of Tolbana," Wulfrin chuckled at the teal haired girl. "He only does that to players who are stepping out into the game for the first time. It's essentially the tutorial quest line. There's three parts, gathering, hunting, and looting." Nymoira signed away at his greeting, her words just appearing in his head, compliments of Cardinal. "That's exactly what I'm doing," Wulfrin replied as he made sure to speak clearly and make eye contact with Nymoira so she could read his lips. "It's a little hobby of mine to go fishing
  20. "Damn," Wulfrin said as he read over the message from Freyd. "They must be desperate for fighters if Freyd is reaching out with this much urgency." Wulfrin whistled for Solaris to join him as he exited the forge. He had no idea what was in store for them on Floor 21. He hadn't been there except in passing, as the cavernous floor wasn't to his liking. While he does enjoy caverns, he couldn't see himself living in one. They were too cramped. He made his way into the living room to ensure Ciela had received the message. "You get that message from Freyd?" He asked with a concerned look o
  21. "Thanks love," Wulfrin said as he collected his small tin. "I'll take a look at the contents later. Before I go though, I have more orders to place. I'm basically just going to go step by step until I've got them all. Basically once you finish one order, I'll have another ready for ya." As he dismissed the small tin to his extra dimensional inventory, he retrieved his small hand written list. He crossed an entry off before grabbing another order slip and scribbling on it. This order was less complete, nothing more than the enhancements, tier, and rarity. "I'll let you have creative freedo
  22. Wulfrin found a small table and made himself comfortable. He didn't know how long the older gentleman would need, but he was intent to give him all the time he needed. There was no rush from Wulfrin, as he was still way off from getting everything on his list. It wasn't too long before the gentleman returned from his storeroom, and gave his run down of the items. "Thanks," Wulfrin said with appreciation as he collected the tins. "Nice place you've got here, I'll see if I can't help drive a bit of business to your doorstep." With his items collected, he continued his trek back into the aut
  23. Wulfrin returned back to The Evening Star upon receiving the notification his item was ready. He waited patiently by the cat for the attendant to show up. Upon the receiving of his small enamel lapel pin, he let out a small chuckle. For a small trinket designed with the sole purpose of aiding his fishing ventures when with newbies, it was well crafted. He was especially fond of the inspiration he had chosen, as the resemblance to the old Billy Mouth Bass from his grandparents house, a nice memento of the life he left behind. With his new item in tow, Wulfrin returned to his routine of helping
  24. "It's no big deal," Wulfrin said, making sure he made direct eye contact with Nymoria and that his speech was slow and clear enough that his lips could be effectively read. "Based off Bertha's HP guage, I suspect all of us need to turn in the quest, so I hope you wouldn't mind a bit more company. I also wouldn't worry about Pete's rod. I'm sure he will find it respawned on his person eventually." Wulfrin kept an eye on Pete and as soon as the NPC's back was turned, he ushered their small group out of the vicinity. Sure enough once they cleared the area, Pete Seemed to be back to his usual
  25. The small bell tinkled as Wulfrin entered the small bakery just down the road from his small forge. He made his way to the counter with a list in his hand. Ciela approached with her usual cheerful smile he had grown accustomed to as they had grown closer together. The smells and tastes of her cooking were always fantastic, so Wulfrin figured there was no better place than hers to gather up some items to help his performance in battle. "I've got quite the list for ya," Wulfrin said as he placed his list on the counter. "I know you've been busy with another large project, so I'm not going t
