[PT-ST-PP-06] Black Bile Consequences <<Gemini>>
Wulfrin replied to Freyd's topic in Beginner Floors
NOTE: Wulfrin taking over as storyteller for thread. True Tier 8 Akir's form began to unravel as the void beckoned for her return. The Gemini winced in pain, their very existence being threatened. Through gritted teeth in an act of defiance, Akir pulled herself to her feet before Mari could recover. The venom pulsed through her system, causing the lingering health bar to teeter on the edge of depletion before the debuff disappeared entirely. "That may be true," Akir smirked as she raised her blade, ready to strike Mari. "But we can try." The blade fell, biting into Mari's virtua -

Wulfrin made the long trek back to the Town of Beginning with no opposition. He gave one final wave to Marv as he passed through the gates for the last time of the day. "Found your shard," Wulfrin announced as he approached the cart. "Also here's your compass back. It did just the trick." "Glad it served you well," Giovanna spoke softly as she took back the compass. "Now you understand the process of foraging. Take care now." "You too." Wulfrin having completed the last of his goals made his way towards the teleport gate. With all the professions under his belt, now he had

Wulfrin made his way out into the wilds of Floor 1. He held the compass in his hand and followed its needle deeper into the wilds. Every time the needle shifted, Wulfrin changed his trajectory. It felt like he was back in his childhood in the scouts. He was navigating simply by the tools at his disposal. He past the forest where both the field boss and his hunting ground were located. Next he crossed the river that started from a waterfall that concealed the cave where the Scents of the Wilds questline started. Eventually he found himself scaling the mountain where the waterfall cascaded down

Wulfrin turned his attention to the various carts and such stationed within the center of the Town of Beginnings. He was looking for the cart that Giovanna operated so he could pick up the foraging profession and finally put to bed his day long collection quest. He had taken Ciela through the quest so he had a rough idea of who he was looking for, but with how long it had been, Wulfrin was struggling to pinpoint the location. "So, it appears you've found me," Giovanna spoke softly as she emerged from her cart. "I tend to move around quite a lot, but someone always finds me. I suppose you

Wulfrin replied to Wulfrin's topic in Beginner Floors
"Will these work?" Wulfrin questioned as he placed the sword, shield, and crystal on the counter. "They'll do," Drax responded as he put down his current project. "Let's see what you found." As promised Drax sat down at a small desk with Wulfrin as they started to go over the items. The curved sword was the first, its steel blade was blunted allowing it to incapacitate more than wound. The second was the shield. It was a simple kite shield that seemed to allow some slight health regeneration, but was otherwise unremarkable. The crystal was the stand out. Much like the mass healing cr -

Wulfrin made his way back into his favorite hunting ground for the final time of the day. The air felt different this time though. As he scanned the area he found the remnants of a body that had been almost completely devoured. It obviously wasn't a player, but it also wasn't an NPC, as both of those would have burst, leaving nothing behind. Wulfrin assumed it was part of the quest and began to scavenge around the body for anything useful. He managed to locate a rusted shield, a curved sword, and a small blue crystal. None of the items displayed any information when he tried to open their info -
One final crafting profession and one gathering profession were all that stood between Wulfrin and his full house of all available professions. This one was another familiar quest to him as he had escorted Riardon on his journey to unlock the profession. As far as he knew Riardon was doing well, but hadn't gone through many appraisals. Most players were looking for specific enhancements and preferred to visit maxed out shops for better chances. Wulfrin was kind of in that same boat. He hadn't been upholding his end of the bargain with Riardon. "Why hello," Drax greeted Wulfrin as he enter

Wulfrin returned to the music shop with wolf parts in hand. How these were going to help with recoding crystals, Wulfrin had no idea. SAO's crafting system was weird like that. Ninety percent of Wulfrin's crafts were made from fish so he really had no room to judge. "Materials gathered," Wulfrin said as he placed the wolf goodies on the counter. "Shall we get started?" "Let's rock!" The musician grinned as he grabbed a nearby axe. A literal axe that had its head hollowed out and strings fixed to it. Together they had a small jam session, Wulfrin getting to lean a bit into his pa -

The last group of wolves lay defenseless on the ground as Wulfrin slowly made his way to each one. He drove his blade into their sides granting them a quick death before they could recover; their bodies bursting into shards of light. Panels flashed across Wulfrin's vision, but he paid them no mind. He knew what they contained. Before long Wulfrin took final inventory ensuring he had collected the required amount. He began silently counting to himself again. Though he didn't plan to hunt the wolves again, he did plan to return here one final time to find the necessary items for the appraisal q -

It was weird hearing an NPC use the lingo of players, but Wulfrin just chocked it up to eccentric musician. Another wave to Marv and a short hike back into the forest later and Wulfrin was back in the hunting grounds. At this point Wulfrin was starting to wonder if he'd leave a rut in the ground with how often he'd come today. With a shrug he stood in the center of the clearing, his body practically begging for a pack of predators to attempt to take him down. It was bold, but rehearsed to the point where Wulfrin didn't even have to listen for the wolves to prowl around him. He simply counted d -
One last crafting profession to check off the list. That meant he only had one more timer to keep ticking in the back of his head. Wulfrin slowly made his way throughout the streets of the Town of Beginnings. He'd never been to a performer's shop before. Hell he hadn't even realized it was a profession in SAO until he went researching for this little trip of his. Why he hadn't looked into it before, he didn't know. From what he saw there were ways to further buff the few damage over time effects he used, namely burn. If he and Ciela were going to be farming slime king in the future, he'd appre

Wulfrin made his way into the kitchen in the back of the tavern where Maggie was hard at work preparing meals for patrons. Wulfrin didn't need much guidance on this one, as he had assisted Ciela many times at her bakery. Though he did have to admit he had a tendency to mix up baking soda and flour, a mistake that to this day Ciela was sure to remind him of every time he even thought about assisting. One thing he had decided on was whipping up some garlic bites. Wulfrin's plan for his cooking skill was to surprise his wife with her favorite dishes, most of which were various pizzas. Which left

Wulfrin actually stood for a moment watching the wolves attempt to get to their feet. Wulfrin couldn't help but wonder how many times he could get away with slaying the same four mobs before the system finally had enough. Wulfrin shrugged before moving to dispatch each of the wolves one by one. As each wolf burst into the shower of light fractals that followed any mob based death in this majestic game, a panel flashed across his vision. More col. More materials. More scales. More maps. Wulfrin's inventory continued to bloat with items. He continued to focus on his task of collecting things for
