[PP-F13] Back at It

Recommended Posts

Zelrius nodded to Manta as they exited the Boss room, and headed back out into the abysmal palace that was the Fourteenth Floor. He placed a Teleport Crystal into the hands of the White-haired Brigadier, simply saying; "Lad- Manta," He began the 'Lady' part, but quickly remembered that she wasn't a huge fan of that. "We'll continue this conversation later. For now, we have a Boss fight to plan and get to. I expect to see you amongst those who attend the meeting. Other than that, Vale, Mon Cheri." And like that, Zelrius was gone back to the Settlement closest to the Guild Hall. He trudged back to it, Sending out a Mass Message to all of those who had attended the Last boss fight, Saying that the information as gotten in a timely fashion and they the next meeting would be held tomorrow morning, specifing a time, and the place being the Azure Guild hall. With that, Zelrius trudged into his beloved home, and into his personal quarters. Switching out of his armor and equipment into his silk pajamas, the same ones worn at the Christmas party not too long ago, and laid down on his bed to sleep for the night. He felt the rest was well earned, Given that morning he had gotten up, Fought a War, Charged into the Cathedral not too far from his own Guild Hall, Assisted in the Slaughter of the two Angels held within, and Rushed up the to the next floor and gotten both Map Data and Boss information on the next Floor. How, Eventful. The Golden haired boy thought to himself as he drifted off.

The next morning, after having slept the best he had in ages, Zelrius was again, re-equipping all his gear, including the Commandant's Pendant this time around, and marching from his room to set-up the necessary decorations to have guests. From The Entrance to the Doorway of the Meeting hall, the entire walkway was lined with Azure Brigade and Knights of Christ Flags, alternating between the two, as a sort of arrow to guide the visitors to the necessary spot. With that, he meandered off to the Meeting Hall, taking seat in the Center of the 7 seats that stood at the head of the table. He sat down comfortably, lounging back and putting his feet up on the Marble table, awaiting other arrivals.

Lowenthal poked his head outside of his room. "Boss fight?" He asked, as Zelrius returned. It had been only a few hours since the last boss fell. "Damn guys. That's gotta be a record or something." Lowenthal said, chuckling. He looked around, and it seemed that it was only he and Zel were home. Lowenthal stepped up to the planning table and looked over. "So, what am I looking at here Zel? What we up against it?" Lowenthal, quite interested.

That was rather quick of the scout teams to find the room so soon. Opal bit down on her lower lip getting the message from Zelrius, a player she had seen first hand fight and a title respected as such. However, she was uncomfortable with the idea of the meeting being held in their own Guild Hall. But she would not let that take to her heart, this was a business arrangement and shall be treated as such. Her boots clicked along the floor as she looked up at the flags over her head, the blue banners that seemed to alternate between the two merged guilds, much like The Knights of the Blood Oath and the Elite Strike force of the Crimson Blades. There was honor here and she respected the guild, despite the rumors she heard of them being elitists. However, they were all part of the Front Lines. Whether they wished to remain as such was fine, her main concern was just clearing the floors and getting this game beat.

As she entered the grand hall and towards the meeting room, the woman found the spectacle to be...just that what she would expect from such a honorary guild. She cleared her throat noticing the blonde haired youth and...she sighed, "Lowenthal...Greetings. Vice Commander Opal of the Knights of the Blood Oath, I will be filling in for Commander Heathcliff during this meeting." She looked around, there was only two of them there which meant she was either on time or very early to the meeting.

The woman donned her Vice Commander's Uniform. A very simple yet elegant jacket, showing the two red crosses on each of her sleeved shoulders, an emblem of the KoB on one flap of the tail of her jacket and a personal emblem on the other. A pair of dress pants completed the ensemble with a red satin belt and comfortable walking shoes. But there was not much to walk to or from at this point as she bowed her head to both members and took a seat. She raised a hand towards her menu and opened up her memos to take down any information that she can relay to the others in the guild when the time would come.

Her only thoughts of concern were if this next Boss would be any more difficult than the last one they encountered. None of the members had broken formation, everyone did their job well and no one got severely injured. It was a clean sweep of the boss and hopefully that encouraging notion would continue to last with high morale of the Assault Team as they continued their destructive path towards the upper floors.

Zandra stopped at the entrance to the guild hall. She wasnt hundred percent sure she wanted to do this. Yes she wanted them to advance as fast as possible. But this fast. Thou she thougth they must to keep up and increase the slow momentum they have got this far. The wheel have barely been rolling these last months. But this was maybe the time for that to change. To get the wheel spin and reach higher floors every week instead of every three months. She took a deep breath.''Well, I guess now is the time to join the wheel.'' She followed the banners that was hung up theu the guild hall. She have never been inside a guild house before so even that was a new experience. Then she reached the gate to the meeting room. She stopped for a few seconds before entering the meeting room.

She entered the room. But when she saw who already was there she froze on the spot. At this time there was only players with high positions within their guilds that had arrived. Was this only for  leaders? Well, as a solo player she couldnt rely on a guild-leader to tell her the information.''Ehm... Hi... I was just..  Im just interested to hear the information, I wont interrupt.'' she said and leaned to the wall beside the gate.

Manta smiled as they finished with the scouting and Zelrius handed her a teleport crystal. Even though they weren't charging in there and fighting the boss, they were certainly moving a lot faster than they had been before. It would only be a matter of time until the boss fight now. Just in case something bad happened in the upcoming boss fight, tonight she would spend her time with Erin, to let her know what was going on. Within moments she was on the fourth floor, trudging towards an inn.

The next morning, Manta woke up early and quickly got ready for the upcoming meeting, sneaking quietly out of the room and towards the teleport. She arrived at the guild hall pretty quickly, and made her way up to her room to check the items that she had in her chest before heading back down to the meeting hall. It seemed as though some people were already there, so she took a seat near the back.

OOC: Sorry for the delay. Work was hell today, at least before lunch

IC:

It seemed the time between clearing the thirteenth floor and the time for the fourteenth floor planning had gone by within moments rather than days. Not long after the frontliners cleared the thirteenth floor had the fourteenth floor boss lair been discovered, and now with that information it seemed the Azure Brigade was hosting this particular meetup. With a small sigh at the thought of his still absent wife Calrex shook his head, putting himself in his combat mindset before entering through the doors of the brigade's guild hall.

Entering into the meeting area he put his hands into his pockets, giving a greeting nod to all those currently present before moving to one of the areas close enough so listen in on the discussion.

Noises echoed along the halls as people bustled about within Azure's Manor. Rubbing the sleepiness from his sapphire eyes, the Azure General slowly begin to rise out of slumber. Swiping through menus, he watched as his appearance changed ever so slightly. His unkempt hair managed to magically fix itself along with his pajama's becoming his typical white outfit shrouded in his Azure General cloak.

Exiting his own room, the blonde made his way down to the meeting room. Though his group wouldn't have much to offer in terms of new information, the fact that both groups were here, was a good sign. Taking his seat at the far end of the seats arranged in a row of seven at the table. Nodding to Zelrius, the blonde sat and faced those who were arriving and those who had already arrived. He spotted Zandra and offered her a smile. He spotted Manta, Opal, Lowenthal, and Calrex as well. Waving to each of them, his sights returned to the door as he began ponder over the information Zel would relay.

Well that was quick. A whole day had not even passed and plans for the next boss fight were already being set up... for the fight to happen after another day. Two boss fights in one week. That definitely was a record for the books. Jomei stepped into the large guild hall, noting that Azure really had the money and fame in Aincrad to do such a thing. The worn heels of his boots thumped against the ground of the hallway as he made his approach through the building and into the meeting room. As Jomei emerged into the room, he noticed a many of players were already in attendance. The Irishman crossed his arms, "Huh.." , taking a couple of steps forward until he stood just next to the table. Once his eyes caught glimpse of the shorter noirette he called his girlfriend, he walked around the table and eventually stood in front of the girl, placing both of his hands on her shoulders and smiling. "Didn't think you'd get here before me." he said quietly to the girl with a chuckle. He then stepped to the side and leaned against the wall next to her, waiting for the meeting to start.

It was only the next day that the blonde had bothered checking the Inbox... it's been some hectic days these last ones, though it was more fun than the usual and most importantly of all they were making progress fast. Wandering alone on the 13th floor, triggering a war between angels to only fight those two later, yes the blonde had a lot of fun doing something else than making armors in her shop. She'd let loose of her lust for fighting on some pretty powerful enemies and that was more worth it than a thousand 'walks' in the 10th floor. And the rewards she'd got in the time helped her get the new 'Bull Rush' mod she'd been reading about.. though some may argue that the SPs were better invested in the rank 5 ferocity mod for rapier. "There will be a time for that" she muttered, going over the message.

Later on the 13th floor, the blonde found herself entering the Azure Hall. It wasn't really that long since she'd been there... With the X-mass party drama and all she would've taken the golden boy's act as a general statement that he won't be actively participating in the clearing group. This message clearly showed her that she thought wrong, so with her interest piqued she once again entered the guild hall and let herself ushered by the decorations of her soon to be guild, or so she hoped. But that's for another time tio thinkas she reaches the room where several people were seated.

"Congratulations on finding the next boss!" she said with a sincere smile, greeting the golden haired host then turning towards the others. "Minna-san*, let's get this one quick as well!." she said with a bit of enthusiasm in her voice, letting out her native accent. She was in good spirits due to several reasons, one of them being able to let loose on another powerful mob. It had been proven that all her worries were for nothing and she was expecting some sort of bad mouthing because of her overprotective strategy that possibly made the battle last longer than it shouldn't. She walked behind Zandra and put a hand on her shoulder, addressing her with a friendly smile, as she heard her last sentence: "I thought I told ya not to underestimate yourself like that."

*Minna-san - jap. "everybody" + suffix used to display politeness.

Entering the guild hall, it was hard not to be impressed with the trappings that the Azure Brigade had amassed. Eventually, Mack knew, the Knights of the Blood Oath would get to that point as well. Moving quickly through the headquarters building of the guild, Mack moved with a determined gate. It was obvious that those running the meeting wanted everyone to know where they were supposed to go, so finding the meeting room was not difficult. Just prior to entering the meeting hall proper, Mack pulled up the deep hood on the re-done crimson cloak, a holdover from the days of the Crimson Blades and now a symbol of the strike team within the Knights of the Blood Oath, his face disappearing into the deep shadow cast by the hood.

Stepping into the meeting hall, Mack's eyes swept the room and he quickly spotted Opal the Vice Commander of the Guild and his immediate superior. It looked as if she were here representing Heathcliff again. He shrugged his broad shoulders as he moved through the enormous room, the hem of his red cloak swishing softly as the symbol of the strike team was displayed on one shoulder and the guild symbol of the Knights of the Blood Oath was prominently displayed on the other. Moving to a spot behind and slightly to the right of where Opal was seated, Mack took up a silent sentinel's position behind the Vice Commander and crossed his arms over his chest trusting that Macradon would take up a mirroring position behind and to the left of Opal's seat when and if he arrived. It was important for their front line fighters to make a show of unity at these kinds of meetings, even if there weren't very many of them.

Macradon only heard about this, it was all new to him. Boss fights and now meetings for us to advance to the next room to fight the next boss. He would enter after given the information he had gathered on where the meeting was held. Macradon would go in and see all the people he had previously met at the boss fight earlier. Everyone were serious about clearing the floors they had been stalling for as fast as possible. Last time was slow because they had to fight so many darkened souls, but now it didn't seem like any quest had them stuck like this at the frontlines. They were able to get on going with Zelrius, the host of the meeting, having the information they needed to fight the boss.

Clad in his uniform, white and red, Macradon would greet his Vice Commander, Opal, and his team leader, Mack. Even though it was a boss meeting, Macradon couldn't get an eye on the Commander, didn't seem like he was here so that would probably be why Opal was standing there as a substitute for Heathcliffe. Macradon would look at the seats they sat on, Mack behind Opal by right and the empty chair to the left. Macradon would take the seat on the left and sit down. "Good to see you guys here today" he would say and lean back in the chair, taking a relaxing seat as he would await the meeting to begin.

Ebony walked into the meeting room in the Azure Brigade Guild Hall. She glanced around in awe, having never been here before. She should have expected something so large and extravagant from the elitist guild, but for some reason she hadnt. The white glove on her right hand continued to make her feel safe and protected though, as it had since she had first put it on in Ariel's shop. She wasnt as nervous as she might have been otherwise, but she wondered if that was really worth it. She knew that Shizuka wanted it, and she didn't want to make it seem as though she was rubbing it in the other supports face. She didn't take it off though, and instead took a seat off to the side.

Zelrius opened up his menu and stood from his chair, lifting his hands for the attention of the Room. "This will be done quick and easy, I don't want to take too much of everyone's time." With that, he fiddled with his menu a bit, sending Manta a message that had all the notes that were taken on the Boss and the Room it was held in. With that, he gestured with a gloved hand to the Girl. "If you all will direct your attention to the Lovely White-haired Brigadier, Manta Gaul, for the time being, she will be briefing you on the information. As far as a plan goes, I already have on drafted, I just want to hear input." With that Zelrius sat back down and spoke to Manta. "The Floor's yours now, Stand, and relay."

Manta raised an eyebrow as she received a message in her inbox. It only took her a moment to understand what was happening, and only another moment for Zelrius himself to announce it. Her fear of speaking in front of large groups caused her stomach to clench, but she forced herself to ignore it. She had fought bosses before, and could one shot almost everyone. She didn't need to be afraid to read off of some notes what the plan for the fight was. She stood up slowly, opening the message and glancing through the notes. "All right, heres the deal. Inside of the boss room there are three things to note specifically, including the boss. There are amber colored eggs and what appears to be a falcon like minion, as well as the boss itself. It's a birdlike mob, resembling a giant eagle." She said, projecting her voice so that it would reach all corners of the room. As she finished she sat back down in her seat, mentally patting herself on the back for a job well done.

Ssendom walked into the building during the boss meeting, he looked around at the decorations that Zelrius had put up to help all the people entering the building feel welcome. He walked up to the table where Manta had finished speaking, The Dreadnought had a baggie of brownies from his shop with his helmet set to invisible. His eyes were red and seemed glossed over somewhat, he grinned and began to chuckle, "Man yall know how to make a mess of the building. I hope yall will clean it up after it is all said and done. And Zel inform me of the details afterwards." He held up the brownies that were making him feel relaxed. He would then stand there for a bit to listen to the people talk and plan for the battle that he would be participating in.

"Those amber eggs..." Opal spoke and then stood up, her chair moving back as she placed eyes to Manta Gaul and the others, "I was wondering if this might become a time sensitive Boss. Eggs are meant to be hatched and from the sounds of it they might be protected by the Falcon Mother. After 'x' number of turns, these eggs would hatch and create the dregs. By what you say there is only three of them, correct? But we don't know for certain if they will respawn and continue to do so. Before we take on the boss, perhaps we'll need to fight off the Falcon and doing something about those eggs. Also, birdlike Boss...perhaps we should be ready that it will have high evasion and high accuracy rates as well as distance issues in attacking. Was there any other information you guys could get? Like how large the room was from top to bottom, or perhaps any other distinguishable traits?" Opal had said what was on her mind, it was the first time she contributed to the meeting of this kind and she didn't want to feel dumb for saying anything that would jeopardize or scrutinize the validity or competence under the guild she was named in.

To also Mack and Macrodon, they stood by her like loyal Knights would. She felt calm and comfortable with those two beside her, and hopefully they also didn't think her words were so prematurely made. But those amber eggs that they had spoke of, she wondered if perhaps they could be used for something else? But she wasn't sure what. The woman cleared her throat, "I believe that is all I have to share at the moment." And then she sat down, moving the curtain of ebony from her eyes over one ear.

Macradon chuckled and looked over at Mack. The amber eggs would be a problem if they would hatch a big bunch of small birds, but Macradon was sure that they would be able to sweep them away, either one by one or ... all at the same time. At least that was what he thought as he looked at Mack. "If those critters appear, we should be able to take them out" he said to Mack and would take up a fist for a fist bump between the two two-handed users. Smaller eagle/falcons would be easy targets for Macradon and Mack to take down, and probably also Ssendom. The three top tier AOE players on the front lines, the ones with the strong AOE attacks. With 3 people having the opportunity to wreck havoc on those small critters.

Everyone seemed as though they were being incredibly serious, which caused Dom to chuckle. He looked over at Macrodon who was talking to the Red-Headed Behemoth, the man Dom dueled. He walked over to the Knight of the Blood Oath's group, "How are my two favorite two-handed weapon users?" He asked with a joyous tone of voice, it was very apparent that he wasn't in a normal state of mind. He seemed to be really concerned over the decorations for seemingly no reason, "I really hope I don't have to clean up these decorations, I am definitely not in the mood to be cleaning up the decorations." He laughed again.

The man, Ssendom, approached the two two-handed fighters, the three of the two-handed fighters had assembled. "I'm fine I guess" Macradon said with a slight giggle. It was obvious that Ssendom wasn't his own self, at least not like the other times Macradon had met him. Either he was on something or he was just in a weird mood with everything going on at his guild's place. Macradon was unsure of how he should act in this situation, but would just follow the flow for now. He would keep on leaning in his chair, waiting to see if anything were to happen at this meeting, if more discussion would erupt or the meeting was over with.

It seemed like everyone was pretty much done conversing when Dom got there. And he was rather tired after it was all said and done, he yawned and patted Mack and Macrodon on the shoulder. He turned his body to stairs which would lead to the upstairs and the massive doors at the end of the hall. As he reached the door he unlocked the door and shouted back downstairs, "I don't know if I told you guys. But if I didn't, make sure you clean up the decorations. Cause I won't remember to tomorrow or today." He laughed loudly that reverberated through the halls, then he entered his room, closed the door, and locked it behind him to rest.
