  1. Past hour
  2. ’I know what you mean…’ The words were a mere whisper as Onora eventually answered. A hand suddenly touched her own, reaching across the open space and gingerly laying itself atop hers, a measure of comfort and awkwardness in the movement. Nari didn’t look down, her eyes locked upon the water before her as she felt the heat rising further in her cheeks. The contact alone would have been enough to send her into a fit of speechlessness, but the words that came alongside the motion left Nari stunned and unable to move as she struggled to right herself. ’I…’ The hand began to withdraw, as if
  3. Yesterday
  4. ’I…sometimes find myself wondering if this isn’t how…you know, our lives will be…until they’re done. What if…what if we never make it back to the real world?’ She’d started out hesitant, uncertain and pausing frequently, but as the real question arose, she found herself rushing through it fast enough that she was sure the words had blended together towards the end. The sudden glance from Onora, the look that spoke more than any word could, was enough to have Nari continuing her thoughts aloud. ’What if it takes too long to escape. To clear all the floors, and be free of this world. What if we’
  5. ’I’ve considered it a lot…lately.’ Onora’s words and voice was slow, slower than she usually spoke, even when they topic wasn’t desirable at all. There was a severe hesitation in her voice, one which Nari didn’t recognise – a feat that left her more stunned than the words themselves. She found herself remaining silent as she waited to hear what more would come, the words floating on the air in a clear discontinued manner for a time, until Onora spoke again. ’I think…I think it does. Feel like…everything is becoming normal…in a way…I still know this is a game, a fake world…but is it any less re
  6. ’I’m going to eat so well tonight, aren’t I?’ Onora glared at the joke, though Nari could see the grin tugging at the edges of her mouth. She knew better than to press her luck though, instead deciding to turn to another topic that wouldn’t end up with her own health being in peril. ’Does it…ever feel like things here are getting too normal?’ This time the grin disappeared entirely, Onora glancing towards the sky as if in thought. It was a conversation that they’d touched upon once or twice before; one which they both found to be overtly uncomfortable and better to avoid as much as they c
  7. ’An assortment of things.’ Onora settled down beside her, pulling out item after item as she explained them to Nari. The knightess paid half attention as she continued fishing in the riverbed, another catch pulled in and another chest opened to a successful haul. She figured that soon enough the entire activity would become second nature – no more difficult than attending to the grasses in search of a flower. Onora’s voice carried over the snap of the rod and line as she pointed towards each item, going into details that Nari knew she wouldn’t remember the second that they had moved onto the n
  8. A muddied mix of emotion, of passions and of desire. Simmone found herself liberated and yet suffocated by it. A small frame had since drawn itself closer becoming intertwined and wound in her own, a supple softness hoisting itself on her hips that felt as embracing as it was comforting. Akin to that of a flustered bit of sunlight on a cold afternoon, it threatened to melt resistance and bleed a whole new tempo that dwarfed their surroundings. The Blackbook in all of its elegance had become nothing more then a muffled whisper, a backdrop now muffled and squelched under racing heartbeats. The h
  9. ’How can you sit so long?’ Onora waved a hand towards Nari’s perched position as she approached, a collection of items within the basket at her side. Nari could see a collection of vegetables and mushrooms that were entirely unfamiliar to her eyes – their purpose questionable, though she thought she could figure out a few of them. Still, she hoped that either Onora or Nemo had been well versed enough in determining what was edible, and what would better serve as a toxin provided to someone you truly hated. ’It’s really easy if you give up focusing on your own comfort and bodily awareness.

  12. Idle thoughts crossed her mind for a while as Nari flowed through the movement of casting and reeling the line in her hand. Once in a while she would pull up another fish, a small treasure chest that would open to reveal pieces that could prove useful – or at least valuable in their sale – or absolutely nothing at all, before returning to the task of releasing line and hook to water’s depths. Emptiness passed through her mind that was anything but empty – thoughts that fleeted by, barely registered before passing on to whatever came next. She couldn’t remember most of what flashed internally,

  14. First, though, she would need to collect as much as she possibly could. She’d already gained a steady stream of materials and other goods that would be useful later on, but she knew she was far from being complete in her task for the day. If for no other reason that there were clearly still more fish in the riverbed, and the sun wasn’t anywhere near the zenith where it would begin to set. I figure at least half the day to go, until we need to consider packing it in. That is if Onora doesn’t get bored, or have something else that needs to be done, and wants to head out early. Nari glanced
  15. Adding the to excitement of a standing ovation for the character on stage that were bowing in unison with one another. It was unique to see something like this could even happen in a game like this. There was no books unless written by their owns hands but there were plays? "Is this the only play that is shown or is there more. I would love to see more." Enjoyment showed within her small movements as the NPC's around them just sit there is silence now. The figures on stage would wonder to the back and disappear behind the large red curtain. She didn't want this night to end nor did she want to
  16. "You're a real nice guy, Rey. Total fucking gem," Sin said with a smile. "Seriously. My best clients were married men. I gotta respect a guy who holds out for his woman like that." It didn't upset her one bit that he'd let her down. Especially if he was holding to them marriage vows. Sin could count on one hand the guys that actually did. Honestly, it just made her want to climb that tree even more. But he'd drawn the line in the sand - she would respect it. She held out her fist for him to bump it and then gave him a quick wave - bringing her index and middle finger up to the tip of her brow
  17. The man was tempered to silence as the play began, with Destin on his right and his wife on his left cutting two halves of himself down the center. The play was ran elegantly and rhythmically from the NPC destined to perform it, and it made Raidou wonder if any players had ever found the interest in joining them on stage. An actor in a play among peers of different composition, a union that made light the differences and bound them together. Much like the topic of the play, albeit tinted less of romance but of hardship and comradery. Minutes turned quickly to an hour, and the man for once allo
  18. Reytac scoffed under his breath and shook his head, making a mental note to stay the hell away from this shop in the future. Whether or not the NPC remembered what had happened today, he sure as hell would and didn't fancy dealing with a slimeball like this in the future. Just as well that he'd gotten the profession so even if Hirru was unavailable, he could just appraise things himself. He roused himself from his thoughts when Sin spoke, and he accepted the contact request without a second thought as he shook his head. "'Hussy' or not, that's the kind of thing you choose for yourself wh
  19. The air on Floor 10 had a strange stillness to it, thick, damp and filled with the faint hum of unseen things moving behind the stone. Yomi wasn't a place that welcomed travelers; it swallowed them. The deeper Jack descended, the more the world felt muted, sound, color, even thought, reduced to slow, heavy echoes under the weight of the earth. He kept his lantern ahead of him, so he could see the narrow path ahead. Each step stirred dust from the uneven floor, fine motes glimmering like pale sparks before fading into the dark. Crumbling structures lay half-swallowed by roots and fungi, r
  20. Fae listened silently as they walked, content to just let Nari and Rey talk as they moved through the halls of the cavern lost in her own thoughts. As far as she knew, and when it came to all but the highest floors of Aincrad what she knew was more than what she didn't, there wasn't any place on the tenth floor that could be considered a garden, and much less one that would make it any easier to find Mats. That tied with the glances between Nari and Nemo made it all seem fishy, but Fae didn't really know how. She knew that Nari wouldn't just blatantly lie about this, she had no reason to, and
  21. A sorrowful expression passed briefly over Fae's face at the talk of her father, it was clearly an old hurt, but it would always be there waiting to rear it's head at a moments notice. "He really did, his paintings are honestly the reason I put the nerve gear on in the first place, the trailers all showed these beautiful environments and they looked just like the things my dad would dream of. So me and a friend agreed to come in together." Fae choked up, talking about her father was an old wound, but Kas was a much fresher one. It hit sort of like a hammer to the chest and Fae stopped moving f

  23. "Uuuuuuuugh. Dragging me back into school against my will. You sound like my sister. Do you have any flashcards? Those always worked best for me." But 3ulogy made no attempt to hide the curiosity in his voice. An item that didn't register as an attack or a weapon was a fascinating find. It made all sorts of things possible... He planned to take plenty of notes. "No crowded areas, got it." "No one will get killed, promise." 3ulogy nodded along. "Being an Orange Player sounds like hassle, anyways. I won't do anything bad with the bombs." 3ulogy looked over the glass ball one more ti
