His skin was alarmingly cold to the touch. It was a bit weird how she retained heat like fire and he held the coolness of storms. An arm wraps around her back as a hand lays on her left side. Watching each movement carefully learning the strategies of which were hidden until now. "Hmm, but if I move my bishop then my queen would be exposed by your other knight right here," pointing to the piece being referred to. Focusing on every move that could possibly be made. "Moving my bishop would put me in check mate," tying to push every scenario into view. "If I move this knight right here," moving i

He'd enjoy that rake of her finger against his chin, leaning into it just a bit and even making a space for it to ride. "This amuses me, glad to be of service." He'd lean forward and allow his hot breath to escape as he'd gently nibble on her neck, a treat for a good hound. Once Mari told him he could smoke he'd sigh in relief. "I will not lie mi amore, is was out of respect but I normally go so long... I appreciate your kindness." He wouldn't hesitate to poke one in, folding his thumb into his palm and flicking it out to see fire spring to life on its tip. The cigarette glows in a rushing red

There was a certain kind of warmth and satisfaction in the way he moved, annunciating his words with a wave of his hands, a quirk of his lips and brows. The way he’d constantly reach out to have some part of him gently touch or tap her, how he’d inhale when she wandered too close. A man so dangerous and volatile, and yet had so easily won her affections. Scarily weaving his way deep into her consciousness and steeping her heart in his intoxicating presence. She had shown him so much of herself today, small parts of her world that had been reserved for her and her alone - and he relished in it.

“I t htink that four set ts of S tairs wil be a goo d w aty to sober up just enough.” "I have a feeling that I'll be herding the two of you like a sheep dog during this quest” Mari waved off both Katoka and Arcanthus with a nonchalant hand, and a small stumble that would result in her shoulder colliding with Katoka. “S-Shorry. But n-no we have…a long walk. Sh’es righ shoul shober up a bit by then.” Mari felt a little guilty about that. The two were green players. And with her marked as a Pker, there was no simple way to get around. Hours were always added to trips as she

The man tapped her nose gently, before tracing the lines of her jaw seeing out the space behind her neck. Weaving his fingers in her hair. "Preach mi cara, I share it." Adjusting his feet, the glass crunching and being grinding beneath his heel. A sound he was quite familiar and fond of, yet the context was drastically different this time. Her hair a gentle satin in its softness, the mix of something sweet and salted, the tinge of some bitter chemical. A faint reminder of everything he had taken, and everything that he wanted before. A decree in how worthless it had all been, for those scents

Mari laughed softly. Shaking her head. "I can't be too mad. You saw the other day...I too get a little too swept up. I just...find it funny. I never really understood why someone would get upset or frustrated when I'd hurt myself that way. I'm experimenting. Why the fuck would I care if there are..." She shifted her gaze to the side, eying off the broken and bloody shards of glass scattered carelessly on the floor. She shifted, stomping on one of the larger shards. Listening to it snap and crackle beneath her boot. She lifted her face to kiss the underside of her chin. "It's so easy to be swe

The gentle rain on their skin would offer the slightest control to the built heat, a pleasant escape of it like a thermal sink. The man would tap the top of the black horse, tilting it as he'd draw lines across the black and white checkered board. "Yes, but that will not be the move." He'd explain as he'd draw a line diagonally across toward the white bishop, showing the straight shot all the way in. "Each play has another counter play. To succeed, guided sacrifice and foresight. Instead I would take this, and lure the bishop." He'd tilt a black pawn, and show the angle then draw a line with h

stats Coins tinked against the cold cave floor. The dragon's eyes flicked open. Great slits watched shadows dance. Something had entered her home uninvited. It happened from time to time, and it could have been a variety of different creatures. A bear looking for a home, or perhaps a lost wolf. She knew well enough that boars lived in the fields below her hillside cave, for she hunted them regularly. A cough echoed through the dark. It was not the sort of sound you would expect from a boar, or any other wild animal for that matter. Fed up with guessing, she made herself known. "

Chaos below. Dracul’s light flashed like a strobe in the titan’s chest – relentless, irritating, diverting. Corruption writhed, torn between healing the crown and shielding its heart. Instinct’s whisper: The bindings fray. Strike now. Ariel rose. Bruised ribs protested. Blood crusted her temple. Nihilim’s Wrath felt heavier. Colder. Still silent. It doesn’t matter. The edge was hers. The Valley’s trust was hers. Millicent tracked the corruption’s panic. "It’s destabilized! The fissure... it’s vibrating! Like a plucked wire!" The Colossus raised its left foot. The crown ti

The heart nexus convulsed. Above, Ariel’s second strike had bitten deep. Light bled from the crown like a beacon. Kro’s corruption recoiled, surging downward into the chest cavity – thick, panicked, defensive. "It’s bleeding power!" Darius yelled. "Feeding the heart to heal the head!" No. I wouldn’t be ignored. Not while it funneled its strength away. RAW-A. I called it again. Stamina bled. Crystalline thorns sheathed my arms. The «Memory Fragment» glowed – steady blue. Focus. Not glory. Utility. I didn’t aim for the core. I struck the conduits – the throbbing veins of corr -
The man would drink her scent and even kiss her forehead when given the opportunity, his eyes locked in a dark curiosity to her lethal little toys. The level of ingenuity, the creativity. Elegant, yet so simple. "I am...." He'd look to his hand leaving little droplets in red taps, that didn't even compute as he'd gotten so fixated on his thoughts flowing and bouncing ideas back and forth. He'd gesture with a pinched index and thumb on the unfucked hand: "I got a little swept up, scusa." Lancaster unfurls his fingers as she'd pull the bits of glass out, carefully wrapping it to which the man wo

The Colossus settled. Millicent’s breath hitched. "Gait stabilized! Right foot planted... left rising in five!" Opportunity. Ariel moved. Not a dash – a flowing glide over treacherous rock. Nihilim’s Wrath slid free without a whisper. The head weak point yawned before her, fissures wide from her first strike, corruption boiling within like molten tar. Shirajishi-ryū: Stone’s Embrace. The blade didn’t slash. It pierced. A single, perfect thrust into the nexus’s deepest crack. SHK-K-KRUNCH! Obsidian screamed. Light – pure, white, and agonizing – erupted from the wou

The Colossus stumbled. Ariel’s second strike echoed through its bones like a death knell. She carved deeper. Again. Kro’s corruption recoiled from the crown, black veins slithering downward toward the heart nexus—toward us. "Sir! The corruption—it’s converging!" Darius pointed. The diseased light in the central nexus intensified, pulsing like an infected wound. Millicent’s frantic warning from above rang in my ears: "It’s trying to heal!" Rage crystallized into cold purpose. Not while I stand here. "Shield!" I barked. Darius braced beside me, burnt arm trembling but unwavering. -
The Colossus shook itself like a wet hound. Ariel locked her knees against the obsidian crown, Nihilim’s Wrath driven deep as an anchor. Millicent screamed as the world inverted, her grip on Ariel’s coat the only tether to reality. Basalt rained around them – fist-sized shards clattering, boulders the size of carts crashing into the void below. Instinct: Weight low. Hips fluid. Ride the tremor. The titan’s convulsions made the skyline seesaw. Dracul’s light flared far below – a beacon in the chest cavity. Steady. Alive. Millicent’s scanner shrieked as a fissure split the crown besi
