  1. The sound of footsteps echoed as the boy entered the next room, the third room. Where his next inner demon laid in wait, or rather stood. Sporting his sword on a relaxed shoulder he tilted his head and cracked a half eager smile, a figure. Standing out in the open it hung it's head, draped in a long black cloak. "What? have you already given up on this fight?." he asked, the feral like growl in his voice indicating his desire for conflict, his determination in claiming a life. Practice for when he could avenge his friend, his love.

  2. @Ariel - The Crowned Lion Oh wow, you should really pick up people again O,o. Find your own style and stick with it, granted I'm still having issues myself but as you can tell from my profile pic I'm pushing through it X'D. NEVER LET PROPORTIONS STOP YOU!!. but I really like the eyes to be honest!, they are always an issue for me. Sometimes I cheat by using a ruler to measure out the distance between the two X'D hence why Takneil always has one eye X3. (regret not doing that with RWBY-RP Takneil still but his GF had one first so...yay.)

    @Shirosu AHH! you scared me there! >,< I like never saw you online before, I didn't even know you existed before this! ;-; well I'm Taki SAO's resident...something... nice to meet you. and that's wonderful!, I really like what you did with the hair and scarf. It works really well :).

    As far as I'm concerned I'm done with this, I really want to do shading on Sans and his Gaster Blaster but I feel it would make it hard to see and clash with wispy background. I will say I wanted to keep it to black and white as much as possible because I wanted to represent the battle format of Undertale and how it is black/white with little color.  

    So I've been thinking and I have decided, I will take suggestions. Ask me to draw something or suggest a prompt and I'll do it, though sadly I will not be accepting OC requests as of right now. I am still learning proportions for humans and before I do anything like people's characters I want to make sure that I have the talent to actually do it for them XD. 

    In my opinion I am the bomb in drawing anything non human, as there is no expectations of how the creature should look. SO if you guys want maybe want a few MOB designs for SAO I'd be more than happy to try :3

    Ariel and Shino, I hope to see you here more in the future and can't wait to see more art!.

    Sadly I do not have a scanner of any kind so I have to take crappy photos >,<
    This is far from complete and is the second drawing I have done in over two years. My shading is prolly going to be crap when I get to it XD. So I never in a thousand years would have thought I would have gotten the guts to draw Sans from Undertale, his character is so simple but demanding art wise as you don't want to just use his sprite. To me drawing Sans would have been...A Bad Time! Hahaha...ha...ha...ha...and no one's laughing...shoot me plz. 

    Returning to what I was saying I ended up using an Art Prompt Generator it said 'Draw a Skeleton.' So blasted Megalovania I did and cranked this out. in all honesty it was fun, and I doubt I'll hate shading/coloring when I get to it. ^3^

  4. So I thought I would set this up, as I saw there wasn't any...or at least any active ones from what I could tell. It seems Takneil inner cravings for being an Artisan grabbed a hold on me in real life as of late, drawing random things on impulse and from memory. All done free hand. While I'm not demanding anyone embarrass themselves by posting their art here, I will ask that no rude or disrespecting comments be made about another's work. If you have criticism it is highly welcomed but only if it is constructive, anything harmful will immediately be linked to staff to be removed.

    -No disrespectful comments.
    -Do not say another's art is better than someone else's. Everything here is a talent.
    -Nothing UR will be posted here, it will be removed immediately. if you want it so bad ask me and I'll make a UR version of this IN the UR.
    -Do not copy another person's art and claim it as your own, even if it is free hand please refer to where it came from and the original/current Artist.

  5. @Lowenthal Holy crap no X'D Bond would work like SP in the fact it's accumulated. so only 100 threads, which in my opinion seems like an appropriate amount of threads for maxing your relationship with your familiar X3. other than that I never meant for this to be NEEDED. I honestly believe a familiar should have a lot more depth to it's being as I don't want player's to just get a familiar and never use them. Because right now it honestly feels like a hassle to include familiars to a thread, just to get their bonus.

    Familiars should be optional, while I agree they shouldn't be overpowered. They should also not be used to get 1 little enhancement. I am striving to meet that goal, hopefully with the help of Baldur. We can achieve that. 

    btw it would start at level 0, unless you happened to have multiple threads with your familiar that meet requirements.

  6. @Zandra in Solo threads? yes. but remember the limit is raised to another 4 per player in a thread. Once again, proving thus how much further these simple concepts and additions would diverse the SAs in general as for OHCS this would promote a team player, someone who focuses their effort and build on AoEs while others may focus on DMG output, etc... :) though I'm not going to fight to much about them, it was a simple idea. if Staff wish to use it they can. it's not anything vital but if they are doing a SA revision then I would certainly enjoy aiding in concepts for traits. maybe even instead of simply unlocking one at GMing a skill there is arduous path the player must take for that bonus. but Traits and concepts aren't what this thread is about so I'll back out of this thread. if any future readers would like to have a say on traits and such I would ask they PM me rather than derail this topic any further. Thank you :)

  7. watching as the shattered crystals of what once was the green suited man the boy began walking away ."Tch..." shaking his head Takneil placed a hand on his armor, the cracks slowly spreading. "The fool, that accomplished nothing." focusing else where he continued, moving on to the next door. Whatever he would face there.

    "I see." staying out of the sight of the corrupted player as usual the flickering being hung, hovering above the battlefield. Though another joined it, a shadowed woman with scarlet hair...Lovlass. "It seems we must move on to another, I just hope this one stops the boy...I'd rather not risk it going as to far to have Takneil face him.

    Rolling her eyes the woman crossed her arms. "Please, he got lucky. If only I could face him again-"

    "no." keeping it's ever watchful gaze on the player it sharply cut off it's ally. " We must not ruin what we have built so far, by reintroducing you, or Fyierfal he would turn this into a petty game..."

    "but!-"

    before she could continue to argue a cloud of green smoke swirled from nothingness, taking form into the green suited man. "Lovlass, we need to trust it." Almost as if glaring Fyierfal looked to his leader. "Even if we don't like it, right now. Whatever that thing is, we have to trust it...it's all we have left...

    After the man had spoken, silence set in amongst the trio. While the two 'inner demons' had no complete trust towards the flickering being it seemed as though it had no care in the world for them, only what they did. It's true interest was only on the boy. Who soon...it would come to face.

  8. "Oh?, what's this? suddenly your personality changed?." Pushing the blade deeper Takneil leaned forward. "What happened to the other guy?, I want him back, he was more fun then whoever you are. If not, I'll just kill you now." Swiftly pulling out his sword he finished the weapon skill, all attacks slicing into vital points. Why? just for fun. 

    "n-no, you don't understand. We're doing this to help you!." Collapsing to the ground as the bleed status took it's toll Fyierfal gazed up to the boy. Hoping that he could somehow manage to get him to see the darkness that was slowly corrupting him, turning him into a monster. 

    "and why would I need help?" pointing to where the foe would see his health gauge Takneil chuckled. "As far as I can tell You, Lovlass, and whatever pitiful creature is left standing in my way. Are the ones who are going to need help." speaking the last words he would waste on this scum he sheathed his sword. 

    His fist tightening in dismay Fyierfal pushed against the dirt. "If...fighting you, is what we must do to hold your attention...then I guess that leaves me no choice..." picking up his weapon he hurled it forward, slamming the hammer against the chest plate of the knights armor, leaving a small crack in the black metal. "Wait, could that be-" suddenly feeling a cool sensation spread throughout his body he watched as his HP was drained to zero, long, whip like spikes protruding from the boy's back wormed their way into the man's form. tearing him apart from the inside. "But...I finally figured it out..."

  9. Stepping away from another devastating impact Takneil smirked, a black blade draped in darkness he lunged forward through the cloud of green smoke and dust. "You fool." Confident in his victory he chuckled as he felt his sword pierce the enemy. The obscuring veils fading he gazed menacingly at his foe, watching as his hit points slowly dropped. "Lovlass put up more of a fight than you.

    "H-how?..." Shocked, Fyierfal dropped his hammer, the weapon clunking against the ground.Body shaking as the blade slowly twisted and carved it's way about his torso the man grasped the weapon in an attempt to push it out. "I c-can't lose, I-I need to win. F-for her!" his words now panicked he looked up to the boy. "Takneil, d-don't. I know what you are feeling, but killing isn't the answer."

  10. Raising his shield Takneil yelled in surprise as he was sent skidding backwards from a powerful strike, breaking off a piece of his <<Eternal Harmony>>. Watching as the shard crumbled away an orange eye shot towards the green clad man, <<Fyierfal>>. Relentless barrages of powerful sword arts, his speed was almost on par of that with an event bosses like Lyrica. No...even faster. He didn't like it, the feeling of powerlessness. Being pushed back, not being able to do anything. The sound of metal clanking lightly against each other the knight was pulled from his thoughts, his grip was trembling. He was excited. 

    "Daydreaming are we!?, that wasn't exactly the best egg out of the baske-....wait is that the right? you know what? you know what I mean, that it was a poor. DONE TALKING!" His mouth moving just as fast as his feet he quickly covered the distance between himself and his foe, with ease. 

    "This move again." he stated aloud clearly amused by the enemy's lack of tact in fighting, he had the speed and power to make up for it...but if he stayed one step ahead of <<Fyierfal>> he would claim victory.

  11. The new voice bouncing about the room, it resonated and seemed to assault the ebon armor clad boy each time it passed him. Wincing he shifted his stance, bringing up his shield he glared as a man tall, slender man exited from the clouds of smoke. Dawned in a green suit rather than anything protective it seemed as though the clouds clung to his clothing. Standing in place his hand slowly grasped the hilt of his sword. 

    "Now,now, Takakakaka!. No need for that Hehehehee!." Extending out his arm a white glove grasped around the hilt of a War Hammer. "You wouldn't want that stick you call a sword to be broken now!" cackling the words the extremely upbeat man dashed forward with incredible speed. 

    "Don't count on it." Quickly stepping to the side Takneil was greeted with an explosion in the spot that he had once stood. The ground shattered, only the head of a hammer left in it's wake.

  12. watching the brilliant rain of shards he sheathed his blade and the knight stepped forward, crushing the remnants of what once his love. He wanted to escape this twisted realm, he wanted to have more fun, he wanted to make the player who killed his wife see the very smile <<Lovlass>> saw before she died...

    Having been watching from afar a flickering figure let out a sigh as it watched the monochrome player exit the dark room, it seemed as though it would need to try a bit harder to make him crack. Closing it's bright orange eye it flickered once again for a brief moment before vanishing. "I'll get him with this one for sure..." the voice echoed as both entities departed. 

    An iron door slamming shut behind him Takneil slowly walked into the room, unlike the last this one was filled with clouds of green smoke. yet he could see through them, as if they weren't even there. What crap would he have to deal with now?.

  13. "W-What!?" Shocked by the sudden uncovering of her position <<Lovlass>> cursed, her heart beat, pounding faster and faster as the boy's grip only tightened around her arm. Attempting to pull away she kicked against the her captor's legs, the sounds of metal *clinking* away as her feet harmlessly bounced off. How would she do this?, she needed to stand up to him, this player. But he was something else, he was defying his own morals, his own fears. It was like he was imbued with the raw emotion of hatred. Gulping <<Lovlass>> licked her lips and looked to the side. "Well... I mean, you need me!. If you kill me you'll lose all chances of ever loving another person!.

    Tightening his grip on the woman Takneil smirked and let out a growl as he lifted her into the air. "Oh?, and tell...me why would I ever want to feel that burden ever again?" The darkened instincts of his mind taking over his voracious lust for blood seized his actions. Drawing <<Eternal Sonata>> with his free hand, the jagged blade played it's haunting tune as it began to illuminate a dark black. "Ding!, times up.

    Staring back in horror as she was suddenly thrown into the air <<Lovlass>> felt a sharp pain in her chest, gazing at the smile the player wore. It was one of enjoyment, he had truly made this a game to him. A demented world where he could do as he please...even slaughter his emotions. Letting out a shaky breath she winced as she felt the cold blade sliced into her body, First her arms went, then her legs. Only knowing full well in her coding what was left a blade pierced through her skull, causing her form to shatter into a thousand shards, two of them landing on the ground to form the shape of a heart...

  14. @Hydra Yes, your familiar's do not share Bond or Bond Points. As it is a relatively easy system to level with.

    @Rain Like your enthusiasm. If this were to be approved I would most likely create that flower quest myself, when we reach that floor that is XD.

    @Baldur This system is to bring out the potential in familiars, by not only giving the player's more incentive to use their familiar's as an RP tool to further their enjoyment out of a thread, but by giving them a level system and if staff gives me a thumbs up I will even give multiple skills in which a familiar can have. (Healing, bonus damage, stealth, maybe even unique Abilities if Staff allow it.). I am someone who actually has a familiar with no enhancement. The only reason why I have Vain is for Roleplaying. 

    @XWuZHeAR Because it would make it super easy for someone to just throw a bone and have the familiar catch it, suddenly they bonded. Indeed that is correct that small things do strengthen relationships as well but remember how I stated it. "Bond is the relationship between you and your familiar. The more topics you complete with them, the stronger that relationship becomes and in turn the stronger that familiar is determined to become for it’s Player.

    Also I can say multiple people have roleplayed with ONLY their familiars. Myself. @Hikoru , @Zandra , @Calrex , and @Oikawa all did a thread with only familiars. Just like your character, have them do things. If you can't think of how you can do this read some of @Ariel - The Crowned Lion's posts. As I've found her use of Kimba in her roleplays to be inspiring.

    And Level 20, not 100 XD. when you reach that point you may have your familiar equipped with two pieces of equipment. For a dog I would Recommend a collar and maybe some sick armor :/. again your choice. but I doubt a dagger would work as it would require the familiar to be skilled in dagger XD

  15. Familiars.

    Now it’s been long awaited as to when our precious little allies will be able to actually aid us in combat situations beyond the rather tiny enhancements they have right now. So here is my suggestion at a system for them…

    Is my current Familiar eligible for combat?

    No.

    In order to have your familiar in combat situations you must submit an evaluation and provide 5 Topics where you have done 20 or more posts of acceptable interaction between you and your familiar.

    How do I get my Familiar stronger?

    So just like us our familiars have Level systems, but instead of working off of SP they will grow stronger from the threads you dedicate with them. This will begin what is called Bond.

    What is Bond?

    Bond is the relationship between you and your familiar. The more topics you complete with them, the stronger that relationship becomes and in turn the stronger that familiar is determined to become for it’s Player.

    How do I earn Bond?

    Simple. Complete 1 thread, 1-20 posts. Your Familiar will gain 1 Bond and you may allocate 1 Bond Point. Of course this is only if you meet the requirements.

    • 1-20 posts with you and your Familiar interacting.

    • Familiar has three or more lines of it’s own point of view per post.

    Bond Points

    Now this may seem confusing so I’ll do my best to simplify it. Bond and Bond Points are two separate things, Bond allows you to level your familiar while Bond Points allow you to enhance Rank in Skills.

    What are my Familiar’s base Stats?

    Well the Familiar has a Base HP of half of it’s Player’s Health+Bond. So a Player with an HP of 50 and a Familiar that’s Level 5 would have 25+12=37 Health.

    Simply put, The Familiar’s base damage is 1.

    Familiar Class

    Upon Evaluation of your familiar you must State what class it is, Each Class will be representative of the type of animal it is and what skill sets it will have. You may only choose one.

    Skills. (To be added)

    0 - Untrained
    1 - Skillful
    2 - Talented
    3 - Dedicated

    From Rank 0 -> 1 = 5
    From Rank 1 -> 2 = 8
    From Rank 2 -> 3 = 12

    Predatory (Skill Set to be determined)

     

    Scavenger (Skill Set to be determined)

     

    Tranquil (Skill Set to be determined)

    Combat with your Familiar

    When doing combat with your Familiar you must roll a separate BD if it is attacking. Player’s must follow the normal BD rules as well, 1-5 being misses and 6-10 being a successful strike. But since a Familiar does not have any Sword Arts the Damage multiplier will rely on the Familiar’s BD Result.
     

    1-Critical Failure. [Miss,Unable to attack next turn.]

    2-5 Failure. [Miss.]

    6-Success!. [Base Damage*1.]

    7-Success!. [Base Damage*2.]

    8-Success!. [Base Damage*3.]

    9-Critical Success!. [Base Damage+1*4. Hate:+1]

    10-Critical Success!. [Base Damage+2*4. Hate:+2]

    Please keep in mind that you and your Familiar DO NOT share Hate, you must keep this logged in combat situations and follow normal Hate rules.

    A familiar can receive debuffs, buffs, etc… anything that would affect a player can affect the familiar other than Items and equipment that are not specifically made for that familiar.

    Equipment and Item use.

    Your Familiar can now have enhancements from equipped items!, Unlike us they are only able to have 1 Equipment Slot. (Until reaching level 20.) Keep in mind this slot will be taking space from the player’s own inventory.

    Items should be a fairly simple thing to understand, you simply order an item that is meant for your Familiar. (IE. A bone for a Canine.) From there just follow normal rules on how items are used.

     

    Taki Note*: Please keep in mind that this system is far from complete but I would like feedback on it and would welcome skill suggestions as well.

    This Quest takes place on Floor 14.

    This Quest is repeatable.

    Whilst traversing the harsh lands of the fourteenth floor you happen upon a mysterious player, they look worn and tired. After starting a fire to warm yourselves against the cold temperature of the night they tell you what had happened, supposedly upon finding a trail marker they had been asked if they would like to take part in a quest. The main objective was to scale to the top of the mountain, where there would be a rare item for the taking. Yet when the player got close to the top a sudden explosion caused them to be thrown down the side of the mountain, barely surviving the fall. As you prepare to find this marker the player urgently grabs you and warns that there was something up there.

    Requirements:

    -Players must spend 21 or more posts climbing the mountain itself.

    -If a Player does not have the <<Survivability>> Skill then they must roll the craft die each of their turns. On Rolls 6 or below the player will lose their footing and fall a few feet down the mountain, dealing 20 Damage that cannot be mitigated and requiring that they spend +1 extra post action climbing the mountain.

    -Players must defeat <<Rock Elementals>> and <<Earthen King>> before they are able to reach the top of the mountain. These enemies spawn once all players have scaled to the clearing made by the explosion, <<Earthen King>> will spawn once it’s subordinates have been defeated.

    Enemies:

    X2 (Per Player)<<Rock Elemental>>.

    A MOB that is made out of the mountain itself, they will relentlessly attack a player with its hammer like fists until it has been defeated Regardless of Hate.

    HP:155. DMIT:40.

    DMG: 48. For each other <<Rock Elemental>> Add +2 DMG.

    Immune to Hate. <<Rock Elemental>> will attempt to attack the last player to successfully hit it no matter what.

    <<Earthen King>>

    Upon Defeating the <<Rock Elementals>> Players will find themselves being shaken and losing balance as the mountain itself seems to move about. Letting out a resounding roar Players must fight a Giant Rock monster while standing on it, It is impossible to strike it from it’s base and players are challenged by having to find crevices, tunnels, and soft spots upon the enemy's body to attack.

    HP: 1250[+200 per Participant]. DMIT:100.

    DMG:140.

    Earthen Shell: While facing <<Earthen King>> Players must Roll the Loot Die in order to find a soft spot, on rolls 10+ they will discover a soft spot and will have two turns to attack it before it closes. While Players are attacking the <<Earthen King>> if it manages to strike a player while it’s soft spots are vulnerable it will end up dealing Damage to itself as well All Damage dealt to the <<Earthen King’s>> soft spot ignore Mitigation.

    Note*: If a Party leader repeats this quest multiply the Earthen King’s stats by X where X is the amount of times that Party leader has taken this quest. And must spawn an additional two <<Rock Elemental>>

    -4 Sp. To be determined by staff.

    -500*LD. (To be split evenly among participants).

    <<Potion of Unwanting>>

    Upon consuming this potion a player may un-invest a rank in a chosen skill to retrieve Skill Points. If used on a skill with no ranks players will lose that skill. If a Mod is attached to that skill the consumer will lose that Mod and regain SP from that Mod as well. . Rewarded to the Party Leader.[Cannot be sold, bought, traded, gifted, etc...]

    This Quest can be repeated as Party Leader, but will only yield 1 Bonus SP instead of 4.

    Recommended Level: 50.

    Large groups/parties are HIGHLY recommended.

  17. Entering the shop of the famed alchemist, the monochrome boy made his way to the counter. His mind set on gaining an item that would reset his crafting attempts. The game's crafting system had not been generous to him. So he would force it to be. Dawned in his eerie black armor Takneil simply awaited for the alchemist to realize he was there before speaking. "I would like some Crafter's Respite potions if you have some, seven or so should do." Sliding open his menu he prepared the transaction window, placing an appropriate amount of Materials in it. 

    -14 Materials, for 7 CR Potions.

  19. Shaking his head Takneil looked up, spotting the city in the distance as the two walked. "I don't know how much longer I can stay who I was, before I came into this game." raising his hands he examined the etched scars from the many cuts and scrapes from the real world. "I...I'm not sure how much longer I can stay me." Dropping his arms he sighed. "I've been noticing changes in my behavior, I've been getting more angry, cynical, and maybe even worse..." 

    letting his own words sink into the situation Takneil slowly kept the same pace as his mentor, his slacked stance showing one of not caring but the look on his face could easily be deciphered as an internal struggle. 

    Coming upon the entrance to the city the boy stopped. "I..." Still staring into the ground he tightened his fists. "I'm going to go be alone for a while...when I come back...I could be a different person. Or I could be the same." His body trembling tears began streaming freely down his cheeks. "if I come back, and I'm not...better...kill me." not allowing the ultramarine knight to have a chance to sway him from his decision he ran off into the desert. 

  20. "Well, my build may be altered soon..." lifting his arm he slowly swiped open his menu and revealed his stats/skills screen to his mentor. "I recently invested into First Aid, my friend was a healer on the front lines...Ebony. She had met up with me on the second floor after I donated materials to her and she seemed, depressed. people were blaming her for not healing people in time or letting them die, so I told her I would try to see the world through her eyes. Not a healer but maybe as a Paladin..." confessing his class change he sighed as he closed the window. 

    After listening to the words of the ultramarine knight, Takneil simply shook his head. "I may not see you as a mentor anymore, but that's because I see you as a friend. You're the only one who actually cared enough to drag me out of floor one. You've remained consistent, unchanging. I know what to expect from you, because I guess we're just that similar..." 

    Turning towards the exit the boy began to shamble his feet through the sands. "I mean Hikoru pulled his Dagger on me on the last quest I took him on, for simply seeing an NPC Merchant to accept the quest!." Reaching up to his throat he rubbed it as if the steel blade still lingered, threatening to slice it open at any moment. "...But mentally....I don't know anymore, I've handled direct physical abuse from my own family on the outside world. Which is why I wear this stupid patch..." sliding the leather strap to the side he revealed another orange eye, duller than the other one and unresponsive. Intense scars outlined his eye from where his family had scratched it out. "The avatar has an eye, but the nervegear has nothing to send images too so it's just there..." returning the patch to resting on his right eye he ran a hand through his hair. "But...I had grown up with that, with people who were evil to me from the start. people who I would have loved to Kill myself...but in here, I've made friends, allies, family. People I thought I could trust to always be there for me...and now the only one left is you..."  

  21. It does, and I would find it great as well. One thing that I actually been thinking of is that some classes should obtain a bonus trait upon GMing a Shield/Block as well, based on their Sword Skill. Another Example...

    Block: Rank 5
    ---Bonus Trait---

    One Handed Curved Sword: Block Trait- +1 Shield Bash: During an attack you slam your shield into the opponent, temporarily opening up their defenses for a strike!. (Reduces the foes Mitigation by 5+X=X% where X is your Sword Skill Rank.)

    Yes I'm using One Handed Curved sword but it's because it's what I use and understand. XD

    But small things like this, it would be nice to see in the future. [Sorry!, posted like a second after you Rain ><]

  22. I do find the thought of Sword Skill Traits to be amusing, when GMing a sword skill anyone can choose 1 of three traits to add to their weapon. it could either be a complicated effect. or something simple. Like for Example... 

    One Handed Curved Sword: Rank 5.
    ---Choose One---

    - +1 Crit Damage. (On natural rolls of 9 add +2 Damage to the base damage of your attack, On natural rolls of 10 add +3 damage to the base damage to your attack.) 

    - +1 AoE Range. (Changes the Max number of enemies you can strike from 4 to 5 with AoE Sword Arts [Or choose one specific AoE SA.].)

    - +1 Nimble Stance (When Attacked with a non critical from your opponent add +1 to your Evasion. Does not stack with itself.)

    Of course it doesn't have to be like those but I find the concept of traits to add a bit more variety to sword arts which would be nice.
