I laugh a little when I remember what it was that took me into forum rp. It was on a games workshop-themed page with a section for forum rp. There they had one thread up at a time. And since there was like ten people in it and no time limit, it took some time to continue the story for everyone. At least you could post as often as you wanted, except doublepost. :)
One thread up at a time and posting 1-3 posts/week. That have changed quite a bit here. Haha :)

I started forum RPing so long ago I don't really even remember what it was that got me into it.
The internet was still a new thing, and I stumbled upon a website through a "Web Ring" of one of my favorite games. I was familiar with D&D, so the idea that I could play in my game world between games was exciting. That was... 1995 I think? I was too young and the internet was too new, so I didn't get anywhere with a legitimate character until I came back to the site in probably 97. I think I was in the 7th grade?
I haven't stopped since, really, other than a couple of hiatuses due to life.

It really is funny though. I started this site because my sister, who is no longer on this site, asked me if I wanted to join it. Of course I said yes, I loved writing and SAO at the time. The site was completely different at the time and the floors were created and decided by the players. (I even made a few bosses and stuff lmao). At one point sao-rpg had a chat box, which was very swiftly taken down. Things were very loose and everyone was focused on drama. However, everything is organized now, almost too organized but it's fun to see the site progress. (can you imagine only doing +1 damage at like level 6??)
