  1. Soon after Vigilon arrived in the Village, He saw Dazia coming his way. "Ah, you came a bit earlier than expected. I thought I was gonna need to wait an hour or two." He remarked. "So...there's this little thing we gotta discuss, as I've said before." He began. "Krysta's gonna know that we've been doing things. In the long run, she's gonna know...especially if we interact with other players in the process. Witnesses can also see us helping each other out, and I'm not sure whether or not they're against selling gossip." He warned. "We need to do something about this, or we're all gonna be in trouble."

His words did have something solid to back them, he really did need to set Dazia straight so the two wouldn't have to deal with certain issues that would definitely occur if Krysta was to find out. "And for the record," Vigilon added. "The main reason I'm still helping you out despite my girlfriend's literal enmity with you, is the fact that, unlike many others, I haven't lost hope for you yet!"

    ...This better work.

  2. Vigilon hadn't been to this floor in a long while. In fact, the last time he'd been here, he was lower level and had faced his first rival...and lost. While he'd love to try and face his rivals again, priorities were always first. He'd organized to have a chat with Dazia on this floor, and the volcanic layout of the floor was just perfect for making the point he wanted to make...well, more than one point, but anyway, there was much to do. This was a serious matter. Sooner or later, Krysta would find out that Vigilon had been with Dazia time and again, and if Vigilon didn't coerce Dazia to go on the right path, there would be consequences for all three players...but more on Vigilon than anyone else...

He just didn't want to lose hope.

Thus, he found himself making his way to Knorlit Village. It should be good enough to head there for the chat... Hopefully Dazia would cooperate.

  3. One slash after another, this was starting to get tiring. If anything, at least Krysta had taken notice that the number of enemies had dropped by a significant amount by this point...but was it really going to be that simple to finish them?

Vigilon looked to his Energy. He needed more, and fast.

Then came the unexpected second wind. A red haired pirate proceeded to show up out of the blue, along with about twenty makeshift soldiers, who caught pretty much everyone's attention. The enemy forces looked over to the pirate as well, their blades currently in lock with Vigilon's weapon. If anything, this was a chance to recover some energy. Breathe in, breathe out...breathe in....breathe out... His focus was soon stabilized, and his energy would recover due to the use of the Meditation skill.

The redhead pirate gripped an enemy by his neck as she addressed the party, saying that she'd brought them some extra pairs of hands, and hoped that one of the players in the party "knew how to play captain", as the NPCs "ain't going to know how to navigate by themselves."

...someone was gonna have to be left behind, it seemed...for Vigilon had other plans than becoming the captain of a ship. This was temporary, a means to an end...a very specific end, one that involved Vigilon taking his blade to the enemy mastermind's neck.

The area that had been cleared was already being manned my the NPCs the pirate had brought over, and they all began looking towards the players...Vigilon, however, could not divide his focus like this. He needed to concentrate on his task, so he simply continued cutting down the enemies, in which they were growing much smaller in number now...maybe there was a chance to get the players into the navigation before any reinforcements arrived from belowdecks.

  4. Krysta would fight the last one into fleeing. Looks like there were some imperial soldiers who had sense after all....either that or they were to selfish to think of anything but their payrolls' worth.

Then the main force of Ladonian troops came to meet the players as the party member who drove the transport landed with a tumble. The ginger player helped him up and the two came to the side of Vigilon and Krysta. The ginger asked if simply taking out the soldiers was the plan, and the pilot claimed he could only be of use at the Airship's controls, that he could be of no help in combat. This was likely true for the NPC driver as well, meaning the best option was to escort the two to the ship's navigation. "....We'll escort the pilots to the ship's navigation, cutting down anyone who gets in the way. When we get them to the control room, we'll hold the line and prevent the navigation from being breached by enemy forces, they're likely to try anything to stop us from changing the ship's course." He suggested.

Had he been thinking with a clear mind and not one focused solely on his target's destruction, he'd have noticed that backup may be necessary. But for the time being, his gaze returned to the many enemies that came to stop the party.

Vigilon would unleash a flurry of sword arts against the mass of troops, some of them wounded, many of them slain, by the relentless assault. Blade after blade would attempt to strike him, and he would dodge and deflect most of the blows. The only real threat was if the scratches were to slowly compile into greater damage, which he was certain Krysta could heal as long as enemies did not keep her too occupied.

Maybe now the enemies were realizing what kinds of people they were dealing with.

    @Jomei @Oji

  5. Vigilon listened to the various ideas that were thrown in. "We'd still have to fight our way through, and even then we'd have to play tower defense with the navigation entrances if we took it. Regardless of what we do, we'll still have to eliminate all enemies onboard." He remarked in response to the ginger player's suggestion. Krysta suggested that once the airship was taken over, that the players should target the flagship's scather immediately. "...So that's what it's called, then? Good to know. Under normal conditions, I'd agree with Krysta, but this is my first time to the floor, and thus I don't know enough to give a valid opinion on the matter." He noted. "If it is possible to destroy the scather, we should do so as soon as possible. The less casualties we have on the way to the enemy's flagship, the better." He added. "But we should keep in mind that we've all got one shot at doing this right, so safety first!"

With that discussion finished, the players were given the opportunity to jump off, in which Oji would regroup with them shortly after dropping them off.

Krysta would make the first attack, dispatching a few enemies. Vigilon drew his blade, and struck with Draco Rend. None of the four enemies he'd hit would see the light of day again.

    @Jomei @Oji

  6. At first, Vigilon thought he was stuck doing this alone...but as it turned out, luck was on his side this time. Krysta arrived, with two other players in tow. If two other players had came along as well, they would have had a full raid party on board....looks like a common party size of 4 would have to do for now, 'cause the players were running out of time. "The plan is to get this ship to one of those military airships up there. We're going to jump off and board when the time is right, then we fight our way through the enemy troops and capture the airship. Once that's done, we'll turn the airship around, and fight our way to the enemy's flagship, where the mastermind is probably lurking within..."

Vigilon intended to slay the mastermind, but he didn't mind a trusted ally or two assisting in the kill...he would have been fine with Krysta helping out to begin with, he only wanted the enemy's leader to get exactly what he deserves...death.

One of the two players Krysta had brought onto the airship claimed he could steer. "Perfect, we'd need to get to the ship in one piece anyway. Take the helm." He decided. The only NPC on the transport looked a bit surprised. "Are you sure about this, do you even know what you're doing??" The NPC asked. The look in Vigilon's eyes unchanging, he looked over to the NPC"Yes." He answered. The NPC saw that he was serious. After standing around for about ten seconds, as if the system was trying to figure out a response for him, the NPC nodded slightly and stepped back for Oji to take the helm.

If Vigilon knew anything about physics, this was gonna be a rough ride. "Evasive maneuvers, avoid getting shot, no matter what. We get hit and we drop." He suggested, warning any who didn't guess the risks in the process. "Everyone, you might want to told on!"

    @Krysta @Jomei @Oji

  7. Two players rushed in to help out. One of them was a green haired player Vigilon didn't know, while the other was Freyd. "Give me a break, man, I was trying to avoid getting blasted when I misjudged the distance of that jump...by the way....what the hell are Airships doing in Aincrad? Isn't this supposed to be a fantasy setting?" He said in response to Freyd asking him what it was with him and heights. The Green haired player seemed to be a healer, for he restored some of Vigilon's HP. He recommended that Vigilon not fight for a while, but uh.... "The conditions out there are too bad to avoid getting swept up in combat, I'll just take a potion and hope I can regenerate the rest before I get swarmed again." He said, before popping a potion to further restore his health.

Vigilon decided to stick around with this group for the time being, then the group met up with another...and just in time, too, as a literal fleet of enemy airships loomed overhead.

    Suddenly, chaos ensued.

The enemy flagship had literally attempted to nuke everyone in the area. Had it not been for that NPC's interaction, innocent NPCs, as well as all the players in the area, would have been killed.

    "..."

It was all a blur, difficult to register at first glance...when it finally settled in, the time was now to act. Vigilon pulled on the hood of his gear.

    995596-bigthumbnail.jpg.6dd67751dfd5a0c4a0c5e1d1a1483d2e.jpg

Vigilon looked to see small transport ships beginning to take off. One had yet to be manned, but it was ill-suited for combat. He looked to the enemy's military force, then to the transport. "Both of you, with me, we're going to capture one of the enemy's airships!" He called out to the two players who'd helped him. Whether or not they actually followed was up to them, but the players' chances would definitely be better if they had a better Airship for the task.

@Freyd @Hirru(just in case you change your mind :D)

If the enemy was going to show no mercy, it would be fitting for Vigilon to show no mercy either. As he boarded the transport Airship, he knew where he was headed, and he had a slight idea of what he was doing....but his goal was clear.

The complete and utter annihilation of the man in charge of the enemy forces.

  8. Insanity.

To think that everything was going downhill oh so suddenly.

First the cryptic message, which Vigilon had tried discussing with other players before heading out. Then there was the moment where Vigilon and maybe like, two, three others(who knows, it was all a blur) climbed up to the roof of one building, then just running around fighting through troops falling from the sky as airships deployed them and tried to occasionally blast at Vigilon, maybe one or two of his allies.

One Rooftop Rampage later, he now found himself separated from the others. Hopefully they could manage, maybe they escaped, left the floor, or found a really good hiding spot to recuperate in or something like that.

Now he just needed to get his bearings...but first, he was falling.

    "AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!"

He found himself plopping down and taking a fair amount of fall damage. At least it wasn't lethal or anything. He had some difficulty getting up, and his entire front half was tingling...for in case you didn't know already, he'd fallen flat on his face. "UUrrrrrrrgghh....where....what...Ugh...." He shook his head rapidly, and came to his senses. "Oh, um, quite a few people here...can anyone tell me what the heck is going on? I know absolutely nothing."

  9. "I said I had a Teleport Crystal." Vigilon said flatly. "Corridor crystals have more use than just helping allies flee. They can be used to capture hostile players." He explained. "If you're worried about getting captured yourself, you could just get the disguise skill, though I've only heard rumors about it...and something about it and floor 6? Whatever. Anyway, if Krysta's pursuits ever give you trouble, the disguise skill could help throw her off your trail...I think."

He shouldn't have said that. He should NOT have said that.

If Dazia does happen to go down the wrong path, the Disguise skill would make it much harder to deal with her. He'd just given her the means to turn the tide...so she'd better improve.

"Busy? well, not much, actually, save for some blacksmithing work. This is kind of a change in pace." Vigilon said in response to Dazia's question about what's been going on since the monster overpopulation crisis.

It was some time before the two players reached a forested area of the tranquil floor. If this was the rumored forest of memory...well, some had claimed that there is nothing to truly learn from this forest, but if there was a citadel within, he'd just have to go deep enough within...right?

  10. "Well, isn't that a coincidence?" Vigilon remarked. "Sure, there's strength in numbers, we'll be more successful by working together."

Even if he failed in pushing Dazia to the right path, trips like these had some use...right? If Krysta was to ask why he worked alongside Dazia, should she find out...hmm...maybe subtle espionage was an option? Sure, Dazia had killed four players, but he was never there for those moments, and Dazia's cursor remained green. Therefore it was best to apply his homeland's take on accusations: Innocent until proven guilty. Unless he found solid evidence of malevolence in Dazia's kills, he would act as though the kills were of self-defense...funny, why has she ended up in four of those kill or be killed situations, whereas Vigilon only had to put up with one? "Hey, before we set out...have you ever considered bringing corridor crystals with you?" Vigilon asked.

Better safe than sorry, after all.

  11. A search and rescue involving a whole guild. That would be a lot of work ahead for Dazia...but also a huge step for her! Instead of taking lives, she'll be saving them! "So you're looking for missing guild members? Hey, I totally support that." He remarked with a smile.

"Right...so I was trying to confirm rumors and stuff because some random dude told a friend of mine that there was some kind of white structure hidden in a um...was it called 'forest of memory'?" He attempted to recall. "Some claimed that some pretty strange stuff can be seen there, and few claim that they can hear a girl's voice from the structure's...tower? It's like a um...Citadel?" He continued, tilting his head as he scratched it, wondering why he'd forgotten so much of what he'd been told, the very reason he'd come to this floor today in the first place. "Well, basically, there's a place I was dared to investigate, so um, here I am." He thought for a moment before speaking again. "...I honestly don't know what I'll be getting into if I go alone, but at least I have a teleport crystal if something that's actually a threat happens to show up for some reason."

  12. Dazia was clearly not in the mood for this, but she was...dragging Vigilon out the door? "But wait, I- I need- I need to ask-!"

Too late, the woman was already out of hearing range. Dazia had become stronger than Vigilon had last experienced. Once the two players were outside, Dazia somewhat aggressively asked what his questions were. "I was trying to ask for confirmation about some rumors involving this floor. I thought that whoever was in the room might know something." Vigilon stated.

Yinangi then called out to the two players as she came over. Dazia asked what was going on, and Yinangi gave the two players a heads up that she intended to search for a familiar. She also suggested that Dazia join a guild that Yinangi is now in, and there was the mention of someone named Seline. Vigilon looked over to Yinangi, then looked over to Dazia. "I'm a little lost...care to give a little context, or is it too much of a personal matter?"

A little intel as to what's going on might help him understand what's going on.

  13. It had been some time since he'd been to this floor...when was the last time he'd been here again? Tanabata? Was that one year ago, or two?

Whatever the case, it was time to start looking around for rumors to confirm what he'd heard...and hopefully a giant Koi wouldn't try to eat his arm again.

Thirty minutes of asking around later, he'd come up empty, save for one dude who claimed he could see the top of a white structure when he found a place to get a good look at the floor's terrain from a bird's eye-view. He couldn't confirm it, but it was something he could go off of.

Top of a white structure...could it be the place he was looking for?

Vigilon would consider going up to the inn rooms of where he currently was, in case someone staying knew a thing or two. Only one room that was occupied had let him in. When he entered, he saw-

    "Dazia??"

    Some awkward silence followed.

"Heh...fancy meeting you here. I've...got some questions again, I hope I'm not interrupting anything important." He noted.

  14. "You're kidding, right?" Vigilon asked.

Just another day at The Carefree Magpie.

"Nope." Shuliik replied. "That's what I heard from a new regular. Can you believe it, the stuff of ghost stories, in Floor 22 of all places?" He added. Kanari chuckled. "I heard from the same dude that it was a woman's voice. Always a girl. Kinda typical, if you ask me, so there's only one way to make sense of it...and that is to see for yourself." She remarked, before taking a good swig of her liquor. Vigilon thought for a moment. "Fine, I'll investigate, but if I get lost to the point where I use a teleport crystal just because I got lost in the woods, I'm blaming you." He decided. Looks like it was off to Floor 22 for him...

Arriving at Coral's teleport gate, he wondered if there was anyone he could ally with for this investigation. Most creatures in this floor were neutral or benign endemic life, but when it comes to personally uncharted territory, you can never be too careful...

  15. Astreya chose a pile, and Krysta would then have the last pile. Astreya and Krysta would wonder what purpose the gemstones served. Veriost stared at the gemstone for about a minute, but she didn't seem to know anything...which kind of made sense, for the small white frost dragon was from the fourth floor.

Fuzziel looked at Vigilon closely, as if trying to piece something together. "Something wrong?" Vigilon asked. "Oh, nothing wrong... But there seems to be something about you...I can't quite place it, but I can at least say this... you're going places..." Fuzziel answered.

"Thanks, I guess." Vigilon responded. Hopefully he could figure out what the topaz dragon meant.

His time in this game had been full of questions. To him, this was yet another personal mystery for him to solve...hopefully he'd be able to actually solve it this time.

Krysta thanked Fuzziel for the opportunity to help, and for the gemstones the dragon gave to the players. At this point, it was time to go.

Outside, Krysta theorized that the gemstones were keystones of some sort. "That's very possible, we should definitely hold on to these." Vigilon replied. So with a quest done, a new mystery on his hands, and a new ally he'd met, too, it would seem that he had another whirlwind journey on his hands...

"If this does end up being a questline, I'll be sure to invite you both when I find the next one." Vigilon said to Krysta and Astreya.

He looked off into the distance. This was just the beginning, he could feel it.

    A new beginning.

Description: Ketsushouken, translated to bloody moon blade, is an eight inch dagger with a slight curve to it. The blade itself is a crimson red color, one that always brings the thought of blood into the minds of those who look at it. Meeting the blade is a hilt wrapped in leather that is almost as black as the night sky, adorned with the image of a crescent moon where the blade meets the hilt. It is said that Ketsushouken has the power to slice through anything even the moon itself, if the stories are be to believed.

  17. Just another day, right?

    Wrong.

And in a very good way this time.

Vigilon finished up maintenance on the forge just in time for someone to enter the shop. He greeted the customer as he usually did, but it was moments like this when he felt like an NPC.

To be fair, he did kind of copy the words of an NPC from a game he once played...

The player explained what he needed and asked if Vigilon could help out. "Sure, I can handle that. Just a moment, if you will."

Vigilon started up his forge and got to work. He ended up salvaging the first attempt, but after that he'd gotten nothing but results. One Dagger came out as the average sharp blade, while the other was a bit sharper. He then managed to forge the item the player needed. He looked it over once or twice before confirming this is what was needed. After preparing it through a grindstone he'd recently gotten, he brought the weapon over to the counter. "One Perfect Dagger, ready to go. The cost will be about 700 col."

Once that transaction was complete, he decided to try forging two more items. He'd lost a bet some time ago with his two rivals, so he'd be trying to forge copies of one rival's armor and the other rival's weapon. Only one of the two weapons could be copied with his forging, so he already knew what he would be attempting to make. He picked up the precious metal ingots he needed and started up the forge again.

He managed to make both items first try. He forged Auranika's armor and Ind0minus's weapon.

He stared at his successful work for about five minutes before preparing to put them on the shelves...along with the other many items he'd forgotten to put in his stock. Might as well organize his shop early tomorrow morning.

  18. Astreya told Vigilon not to worry about her, that they should just get the stuff returned to the dragon. "Alright then, let's go."

Vigilon thought the return trip was gonna be easier than it ended up being. It wasn't like he remembered the exact location of Fuzziel's nest, but hey, at least the trio was able to reach their destination. Heck, Veriost even dove down from the sky just to swat at Vigilon to move his face so his eyes would be looking in the actual right direction once.

The reunion of the hatchlings and their mother had such a pleasant mood. It was heartwarming to watch. Vigilon smiled, and Krysta set the egg down in front of the Topaz Dragon. She told Fuzziel that the deed was done, that Carsar couldn't do anything against anyone anymore...which was probably a lore factor and not a quest factor, because, well, this was a game, after all. Vigilon would pour out the contents of the bags he'd stuffed, revealing the hoard that was retrieved. Then came the sound of cracking. The egg was shaking, and soon a baby dragon started to emerge from the egg. This rescue was an absolute success, and this hatching egg, if not all the hatchlings being in full health and their wounds healed(thanks to Krysta of course) was evidence of it. Fuzziel was delighted to see her youngest child hatch, and she turned to address the trio of players, thanking them for this victory.

Fuzziel then looked to the complete hoard retrieved from Carsar's den, and took only a large fraction of it, stating that what was left was the original hoard that Carsar had prior to attacking Fuzziel's family, and that by defeating Carsar, his hoard now belonged to the players, for it was the spoils of war. Vigilon took a look at what had been declared loot, and he divided it into three piles. each pile had five materials, but there was a difference only in col. Two piles had 1500 col, but there was one that had 2000 instead. Vigilon took one of the two smaller piles, and would leave the other players to take their picks. As much as Vigilon was willing to give the larger pile to Krysta, he personally believed that Astreya should get it, kind of like a bonus, as compensation for third wheeling for about most of the whole trip.

Once all three players had chosen which piles to take, Fuzziel looked to the players once more. She then proceeded to take out three Topaz gemstones, handing each one to a player. The gemstones were spherical and were about half an inch in diameter...shaped like this, there had to be a purpose for them...right?

  20. Now to try again...

Vigilon readied up his forge, and he actually did the required maintenance this time. That NPC really was right, he'd find. The efficiency in forging gear improves, but without proper maintenance and control, this strange powder-stuff is a real hazard. ...Well, at least he knew it was worth it.

He'd forged one set of Armor that didn't quite fit the order, and he ended up salvaging another. He proceeded to make the incorrect armor once more before finally crafting the gear Astreya needed. If she wasn't in the shop by the time he made the gear, he would message her that the items were ready.

After placing both completed items on the counter, he went off to forge two weapons because he could. One came out pretty well, but the other came out much better than expected.

With that, he'd return to the counter, where Astreya was probably waiting to purchase the items at this point. "Right, two Tier Three Perfect Quality pieces of Equipment, ready to go."

  21. A good Relationship is always a two-way street. He had to be there for her when she needed him, and vice versa. He knew there would be moments like this, where he simply needed to be there for her to cry on, to lean to, to hear her troubles and help her release whatever sorrow-filled thoughts troubled her mind. Krysta cried for a short moment before letting go, and Vigilon would let go when she did. She thanked him for being there when she needed him. "I'm happy to be here for you, Jewel." Vigilon said with a soft smile. Maybe one day he and Krysta could hold each other close without any sorrows to let out.

Krysta wiped her tears and picked up the egg. It was time to go. Vigilon walked over to the bag(s) he'd stuffed and picked them up. Before following Krysta back to Fuzziel's nest, however, he walked up to Astreya. "Sorry that it kind of happened so suddenly...maybe sometime I can invite you on a grind or quest with some other friends of mine, you won't exactly have to feel like a third wheel then." He said, hoping to make the situation less awkward before he went back to following Krysta.

  22. Krysta suddenly hugged Vigilon, with tears in her eyes. She then whispered some words into his ear. He had been with her long enough to know what she meant by this.

...Damn, this was something very serious. Vigilon had never knew his father's side of the family, excluding a cousin named Tara, until he ended up in this game...but Krysta had a different family.

To be the last of one parent's side of the family...that must hurt to think about, especially if you saw them as good people.

Vigilon hugged Krysta back. She should definitely let it out if she had to. The only thing that could make this awkward was...oh, right, Astreya was right there...and the players still had to return the hatchlings. ...but this was important, he wouldn't let go until she was fine with it. With a sorrowful expression on his face, and his eyes nearly closed, he would keep her close until she was finished letting out her feelings...besides, he didn't exactly know which words would make her feel better at this moment.

  23. Astreya called for her familiar to help out by taking the egg over to Krysta. Reluctantly, Vigilon handed over the egg. Hopefully nothing would go wrong.

Now all that was left to do was gather up the rest of the hoard, and return to Krysta before heading back to the dragon who gave this task to the party. How the dragon Krysta slew was able to carry all this, along with the hatchlings and an egg, was proven to be beyond Vigilon's knowledge when he tried to think about it.

About a few minutes later, Vigilon could not find a single coin left around the area. "Well, I think that's everything. We should head back, Krysta's probably been waiting with the hatchlings longer than expected." Vigilon noted.

On the way back up, he was able to see where he'd fallen and where he should have stepped. The difference between the dark of the cave and the light of day was a bit much...for about a few seconds. He then noticed something was off about Krysta's expression, and he ran over to her. "Hey, Krysta, are you alright?" He asked.
