  2. “I wouldn’t say booming,” Wulfrin said with a smile as he halted his current project. “Haven’t had many people stop by.” He looked over the weapons with great interest. They beautiful crafts and had the strength to back it up. Had he stumbled across these himself he might have used either. ”I can handle the fusion,” Wulfrin said as he gathered up the crystal, scale and weapons in question. “It’ll only take a moment.” Wulfrin made his way back to his forge where an eagle with plumage mimicking that of a raging fire sat in the flames acting as a heat source. In but a few moments h
  3. "That's just your brain instinctually thinking it felt pain," Wulfrin yawned deeply. "In reality you should only be feeling a slight tingle in the affected spot. Kind of like how your legs go to sleep after sitting cross-legged for a long period." Wulfrin plopped himself down on a perfectly placed boulder not far from a slow moving stream. He cast his line out into the river and waited patiently for a bite, only half paying attention to the sounds of battle behind him. He was paying attention mind you, but only to the HP and EN gauges of his companion. He would step in if it got to danger
  4. "That's the boat I'm in," Wulfrin said with a sigh. "My bed is a dusty bench in my shop, but at least the storefront is somewhat organized. View is impeccable though." Wulfrin followed the group deeper in watching how efficiently they cleared the monsters. He could only hope he would live long enough to see himself be that effective. Too be fair his output against things more catered to his level was nothing to scoff at. He would get there eventually, but for now he was very much still in the try it out phase of the game. Another group of ghostly looters made their way towards the group,

  7. “Yeah,” Wulfrin said taking a portion of the tray. “Guess she woke up and chose malicious compliance. I was explaining the process of the fight, and she appears to have taken the instructions of “don’t move until Freyd says to” very literally. As for the bird, his name is Solaris. Found in out west of here at a well. Beautiful place to relax.” Wulfrin ate his portion of the tray before turning to Ciela, who still sat stiff as a board. Was she even blinking? “Freyd this is KnightessCiela, Ciela for short.” Wulfrin said gesturing to the steel clad knightess. “And Ciela this is The Whis
  8. "I'll be fine," Wulfrin waved away the concern. "Besides I did grab sleep, just not a whole lot. I had to be up before dawn and the teleport gate was like four hours of travel from my destination. Now where we headed? Why don't you lead on this one. Though piece of advice, fighting monsters will probably be faster than just foraging for the materials, but if you want to level up the profession, you gotta do it so up to you." Wulfrin let out another yawn before stretching himself out. Despite being a virtual body, there was an awful lot of pops and snaps coming from his person. Whatever he
  9. "Alright," Wulfrin said to Ciela as they stepped off the teleport gate in Fortazela. "Don't move in until Freyd says. Keep your crystal handy just in case. Remember let him do the leg work and get the boss's attention. Once he does you can attack to your hearts content." The desert sands were harsh as ever. The Arabian bazaar lively with merchants barking for sales. Every so often a handful of NPCs stopped to gawk at the eagle soaring over the city. In truth it was a phoenix, with plumage resembling a raging fire , that left a flaming chem trail in its wake. Wulfrin had clocked the small
  10. The next morning was a rough one for Wulfrin. He had been up way before dawn, but it was worth it. Above him flew an eagle with plumage of reds, oranges, and golds behind it a trail of flames followed like the chem trails of an airplane. Slowly and groggily Wulfrin approached the front gate where Ciela waited. She definitely got more sleep than he did. Wulfrin was ragged like he had already been through a fight or two this morning. He dusted off his coat and armor as Solaris, his phoenix, came to rest on his shoulder. "Morning," Wulfrin yawned, trying his best to maintain his formalities.
  11. “There’s a small cafe nearby,” Wulfrin replied guiding the duo towards the main plaza. The duo found themselves at a small cafe that was just far enough from the main plaza to avoid all the rowdy happenings, yet close enough to not be completely dead on the inside. It was always Wulfrin’s last stop on his little outings with newbies whether they accompanied him or not. “I have a plan,” Wulfrin said as the two began to be served their food. “I set up a meeting with one of the higher level players, that same one from Zackariah’s place, to take you through the Shark Bait Training Progr
  12. Familiar Name: Solaris Description: A phoenix the size and shape of an Adult Eagle. It's feathers are an assortment of reds, oranges, and golds mimicking a raging fire. As it flies, it generates a trail of fire behind it, like the chem trails of a jet. His personality is to say that of a regal lord. Unless you earn its trust as an equal, it looks down upon you like the rest of the lowly peasants that walk the earth. 13. "If you were up to it," Wulfrin said with a reassuring look. "We could take on a tougher mob. So long as you let me get the first hit in, you should be in no danger. It could be a good way to earn some materials and col. You could also get the chance to pick up some items. If not I'm okay with just heading back to Tolbana and turning in your quest. It's wholly up to you." Wulfrin started scanning the grasslands. He ran the calculations in his head. Even with her Mitigation as high as it was, the damage would still go well over her HP total. It was a stupid idea, but it was something to we
  14. "Not going to happen," Wulfrin replied "If my shop gets a slogan, it will definitely not be about fish. Also don't sweat the tackling, just be careful when you do that out in the fields. Acts like that can lead to Orange Cursors, and those signify players that have committed criminal acts. As for the cheerleading, I guess I did do that a little bit." Wulfrin placed a hand on her shoulder before taking a more thorough examination of the armor and shield. He went all around the armor inspecting it for dents or breaks. This was the first time he had seen some of his own armor in the field, s
  15. Wulfrin watched as Ciela recovered from the blow with poise. Like a true tank she had taken the blow with not even a flinch then retaliated with a strike of her own. She took the boar by the tusks, literally, and leapt onto its back plunging her blade into the boar's hide. The boar shattered into a million tiny fragments of data, leaving Ciela to fall with some degree of grace to the ground. Wulfrin applauded the effort. "Bravo!" Wulfrin cheered with enthusiasm. "Congrats on beating your fir-" Wulfrin's celebration was cut short by a full force bear hug. The tackle took him off his f
  16. The dangerous part over, Wulfrin let out a sigh of relief. He had faced down a Tier 4 boss and survived. Granted he had help, but he survived none the less. The other three scattered through out the chamber as if they had done it a thousand times before, looking in every crevice and hide away they could for loot. Wulfrin simply stood there unsure of the next steps. After a handful of minutes two tunnels were pointed out to the group. Being Wulfrin's first dungeon run, and in one way above his pay grade mind you, he felt it best to differ to his companions. His energy was a point below half, bu
  17. "Clean hit," Wulfrin watched with approval. "Another like that and she'll fall in no time." Ciela must have been relishing in the attack a bit too much, as Mama boar charged in retaliation. Mama Boar headbutted Ciela square in the chest, but remained firm in her stance. Wulfrin cracked a smile. The armor was doing its job. Only a single point of damage went through to Ciela's HP. He silently patted himself on the back applauding his own handy work as Mama Boar reeled in pain. The thors had stuck her good and the blacked veins across her body pulsed from the lingering Blight damage. Mama B

  19. "Don't lose your footing," Wulfrin said as he stepped closer to the combat that was under way. "If you give her too much of an opening she'll charge." Wulfrin watched as Mama Boar did just that. As Ciela finished her charge, the angry parent charged. Ciela with her shield raised simply stepped out of the way as Mama ran with full force past her towards Wulfrin who also sidestepped it and kicked a foot out causing the boar to trip and tumble. The mother huffed angrily and prepared to repeat the action. "See what I mean?" Wulfrin said with a chuckle. "enemies will take advantage of any
  20. Wulfrin returned back to Fortazela. He did his best to avoid the guards on the way in, but he still got scowls. He returned to The Traveling Gypsy just as she was packing up her cart. On his shoulder perched Solaris. HIs regal stare had kept the guards from coming too close, and even some of the NPCs had stopped to gawk as the duo passed. The Gypsy turned at their arrival and smiled from ear to ear. "My my," She said examining the phoenix. "What an interesting find, dear. What is this majestic creature's name?" "Solaris," Wulfrin said. Solaris extended its wings and let out a loud ea
  21. At last the stage was set. Wulfrin recovered from the blows and let loose his Horizontal Square sword art one final time. This time each strike found its mark leaving a trail of blue light in the shape of a square moving outward in four directions. The three remaining henchmen shattered into millions of tiny polygons. Wulfrin briefly glanced above his head. No cursor change, so this vendetta must be something the system deems acceptable. The phoenix eyed Wulfrin with admiration. He had fought bravely and earned its trust. It began to sing its song once again, and Wulfrin just sat back and marv
  22. Wulfrin took offense to being called little red. These NPCs were really getting under his skin. At least he had their full attention. The phoenix watched from its high perch, its eyes fixed on Wulfrin. It was judging every move, every attack, and more importantly every misstep. Wulfrin regained his composure and prepared another attack. No more slacking, it was time for the real damage. He unleashed his Horizontal Square skill with speed and accuracy. Rage filling every move. He managed to cleave off massive chunks of the Health Bars of the two he had missed and cut clean through another, caus
  23. Wulfrin darted forward and swiped his blade towards the henchmen that had oh so neatly grouped up. They were far mor prepared for him this time as two of them broke off and flanked Wulfrin. The two Wulfrin di hit found a sizeable dent in their HP gauges, and the stun from his tech art pulse through them. The second of which doubled over with excruciating pain, the bleed enhancement of his sword taking affect. The final two unharmed henchmen pincered Wulfrin and both laid into him with their kopesh. Each blow was absorbed by the plates of his armor, but Wulfrin still saw his HP start to d
  24. As the creature bathed in the waters, Wulfrin approached with caution. He pulled the small pouch of Familiar Food from his extradimensional inventory space. He placed a small handful on the edge of the well. The Phoenix kept its eyes trained on Wulfrin the entire time. Wulfrin was taken aback being this close to such a legendary creature. He assumed they would be massive creatures that brought destruction and carnage where ever they roost. Instead it was almost exactly the same shape as an adult eagle. It eyed the offering as Wulfrin backed away, giving it space to continue its morning routine
  25. As the sun began to peak up above the horizon, Wulfrin grew more anxious. The well was a welcome respite, but the view of the rising sun behind it was breath taking. This was a deliberate move on his part, as he would be facing in the direction of Fortazela, and just to see the view itself. Not only that, but the phoenix flew from East to West according to the NPCs so this positioning held the best chance at watching the arrival of the majestic bird. Wulfrin didn't have to wait long. As the sun completed its rising, a streak of fire began to soar over head. Above him a majestic eagle with
