Christmas Boss event sign up

Recommended Posts

This is the official sign up for the Christmas Event.

It is Strongly recommended you do not apply unless you are at least level 20. Under-leveled applicants run the risk of their immediate death.

Players have received a player wide notification with a message, speaking of a boss that approaches who threatens the sanctity of Christmas. The boss is known as «Klaublauf» and it is inside a giant glacial cavern on Floor 4. The entrance to the cavern is currently sealed completely tight, however the doors to it will open on the 20th of December.

Players are asked to fill a sign up sheet outside the entrance of the cavern, to which it then will open to those players.

Rules:

  1. To join, one signs the paper to show they will be in it. No further applicants will be taken when the time turns to 20th of December midday GMT.

  2. You have 24 hours to post or are skipped

  3. If you are skipped in this battle you immediately sustain 5HP damage.

  4. If you are skipped three times you void any rewards but will still sustain damage

The damage for being skipped is something that is being trailed for this boss battle; it is an incentive to keep an eye on the thread you are in, to ensure that you are not skipped. It is also an incentive to promote activity within the boss fight and to demote users joining then abandoning the thread.

Accepted Players:

Tristan, Lowenthal, Ssendom, Daeron, Shizuka, Macradon, Jomei, Manta Gaul, Ebony, Ariel, Lessa, Calrex, Zandra, Teayre

Ssendom saw Lowenthal running his way as the Berserker approached to sign up for the event boss. Lowe gave him a high five, which was a nice little ego boost as he wrote his name down, then walked back towards the Teleportation gate giving a highfive to the next person who would approach and sign up for the boss fight.

Daeron hadn't given it much time as soon as he heard about the holiday boss. Approaching the sign up location, the golden haired man signed his name up and simply walking away. Dom was also there to high five Daeron the moment he walked in, meaning that this boss wouldn't take long to go down. Obviously, since a high five train has been started, Daeron knew he was now obligated to keep it going.

Shizuka had heard of the event boss and she was no doubt going to sign up for it in an attempt to get involved with some boss and special event action. As a healer, she needed to be here and she was going to work so she could get that first aid mod and help out more people. However, this floor reminded her of what had happened when she was taken ahold of... and that memory definitely was not pleasant to cherish. With a sigh, Shizuka trudged along the snow before arriving at the sign-up to see that there were few names on the sign-up sheet and there Daeron was, looking awkwardly and in much discomfort as he stood there waiting for some sort of a high-five. Shizuka nodded her head in greetings but completely ignored the man's hand and went ahead to the sign-up sheet before putting down her name. Then, Shizuka left, trudging along in the white snow with her pink cloak trailing behind her along the floor.

A golden opportunity, an event boss. He haven't seen one of those for quite a while so he just had to participate on this one. Of all the information he had heard, he had to sign on some papers to insure that he was signed for the event. He would sign up for the event at the signup station. He saw some people there, some he had met and some he hadn't. Either way he had now signed whatever was needed for him to participate.

Jomei got the message for another holiday boss event. He figured since the fight with thr PumpKing went so smoothly on his end, why not give this one a shot as well. He stepped from the warp pad on Floor Four and walked towards the bulletin board with the sign up list. On his way, he spotted the familiar face of Daeron, standing there with his hand up, looking ignored and defeated.. From the looks of it, someone left him hanging. He smirked at the blonde tank, smacking the hand he held in the air with the best high five he could. He then placed his name on the sign up board and made his way back to the warp pad.

Manta had already missed out on the Halloween event boss, and she wasn't about to miss out on this one, especially after having heard about the types of rewards that had been earned during that event. She knew how the game distributed items though, so she probably had almost no chance of getting anything. Maybe someone would get a rapier that they didn't want or something. She walked up to the sign in sheet and quickly scrawled her name down, ignoring the high five train or whatever it was that was going on over to the side. She didn't have time to mess around.

Of course, Ebony couldn't pass up this chance to possibly earn special items. And she had a better chance than most. She glanced over the sign in sheet, seeing who had signed up so far. Zandra hadn't signed up yet, but Shizuka had. That shouldnt be too much of a problem. All Ebony needed to do was heal more than she did. Without Zandra there, Ebony felt that she had a pretty good chance to earn herself an item. She wrote her name in her regular, messy handwriting before leaving.

The fourth floor, her little quiet slice of paradise seemed to be more popular after the X-mas boss announcement. She'd see people going in and out Snowfrost village and decided not to miss out on this one. The halloween event had been pretty fun overall. She figured this was the time to test her new Darkened Blade. She went to the indicated spot and signed with her nickname. She would spot many familiar names there and was glad to get the chance of fighting alongside them again.

The young woman approached the signup thread, giving polite nods to those around her, but nothing more. It had been a very long time since she had participated in a game-wide event like this, as she had sworn them off a long time ago. But after her less than savory experience with Calrex and Celes, Lessa recognized that she needed to work on improving her own skills, rather than focusing on others for a while. True, it was slightly out of character for her to leave others to fend for themselves, but she knew that she would be no use to anyone if she were dead. So the blonde quickly jotted her name down.

Arriving at the entrance to the cavern Calrex saw that there were many players already present as he gave a smile for a second before writing his name on the sheet. Swiping on his menu he confirmed his gear, putting his hands into his pockets. Looking across the present participants he saw that Tristan and Daeron were amongst them, "Well, that fills out our tanking duties then. I'll stick to offense for now."

With a swipe his new Grand Guard shield vanished back into his inventory. At the same time he felt his body grow a bit lighter as some of his evasion returned. Resting one hand on the Darkened Blade he looked around, "I wonder if Teayre will be showing up for this? I just came straight over after getting the message."

With a sigh he began to make his way back towards the teleportation circle.

Zandra got a notification about a christmas event. When she saw it was taking place on this floor, a smile spread on her face. But after all, what floor suits better for a christmas event. She just made a quick clean before she headed out in the storm. When she reached the cave and the sign up paper, she saw there was already ten players that had signed. She looked after a particular name and when she found it her smile got bigger.''So we gonna be in this one together darling.'' she said to herself when she saw Jomei's name. She signed and headed back to her shop to make some preperations.

As the notification popped up on her screen Teayre’s eyes glanced over it before pressing the button to dismiss it. Hefting her katana the red headed girl starts the arduous journey down to floor four. As she arrives onto the floor stepping into the swirling snow a shiver runs through her body. “Guess I’ve stopped becoming as used to this as I thought.” Wrapping her coat close around her Teayre makes her way to the cavern. Noticing several players had already signed their names down she nods at the few remaining before running her index finger over Calrex’s name. Smiling to herself she looks around for him unable to see him she quickly signs her name below Zandra’s before sitting down in the snow next to the sign. Not wanting to have to make the several day trek between the floors again.
