Background:
Satoya was born with a twin sister Kino. Growing up was always pushing himself striving to be the best he can be whilst his parent’s focused on his sister doting on her with every chance they got. Despite the favouritism he remained close to Kino, often covering for her when she hadn’t done her share of the chores or if she was being bullied at school.

Because of this he was often quietly waiting in the shadows, away from the other kids. Satoya ended up just relying on himself to do what needed to be done. As he applied himself within school, his marks never faltered below top.  Upon hearing several of the boys who bullied his sister, talking about Sword Art Online. He decided he would get his pay back. He procured himself a copy of the game and Nerve Gear as well as one for his sister and entered the castle of Aincrad.

Virtues:
Protective/Loyal – Satoya is extremely protective of his sister and people who becomes close to. He would do anything to ensure that the person is happy and safe. Even if it means sacrificing something that he treasures. If someone manages to gain his trust, friendship and loyalty he expects the same in return. Unyielding support and friendship.
Quiet – From looking after his sister, Satoya was always the quiet one in class. Keeping his nose down and pushing on with whatever he was doing at the time. That was until someone offended his sister. He would quickly stand up and protect her. Most of the time though this allowed him to go unnoticed in by the majority of people which was something that made the boy smile.
Adaptable – Given that amount of situations he often found himself in, Satoya found that he often did whatever he needed to do to get through a situation. Be it standing and taking blows so that his sister didn’t have to or opening his school bag and tearing the material that he could escape from a second story floor.

Flaws:
Controlling – His protectiveness sometimes goes the other way, in such a way that Satoya finds that he needs to have entire control of whichever situation he finds himself in. If he finds the situation slipping from his control he often becomes quieter and more withdrawn and starts to make headway himself on the path that he wishes to go down.
Stubborn – Since he has never been acknowledged by his parents Satoya has always fought back. If he wants to do something, he will do it most of the time. However, if it would affect someone he cared considered a true friend then he might reconsider.  This has cause many an argument between him and his sister.
Self-Reliant – Due to all that has happened in his past and the majority of the people whom he thought he could trust either ignoring him or betraying him. Satoya shoulders most of his troubles himself, regardless of whether or not they’ll become a burden to himself. After all no one has tried to help him before, so why would they start now?
