[BR-F21] Paving the Way to Floor 22 (Floor 21 Boss Battle - Tesseleth the Tyrant)

Recommended Posts

Before Zandra could say anything else, she got abrupted by a whistle. A pair of crimson eyes looked at the gate as it opened. She was feeling the excitment building up inside her. She would now be able to try out all new mods she have got since last raid. A great smile appeared on her face and eyes shimmered when she saw their opponent. "YES! a dragon!" she shouted of excitment. Her eyes went to the blonde lioness. Their eyes met and Zandra approached her while planting the banner in the ground, damage boosting her whole team. Wyen she was back at Ariel she gave her a quick kiss and moved her hands over her arms, activating her sharpness mod. "Ariel, dont die. I will kill you if you do." After that she grabbed her axe and followed Shield into the bossroom as a faint red aura surronded Ariel, increasing her already high damage.

Boss Room Info: The boss room is a large cavern, with many earthen columns, stalactites, and stalagmites. Littered throughout the room are crystallized warrios who seem to be frozen in place... and time. Some of the ones that remained intact inside the crystals wore solemn and determined expressions while others showed fear and agony as though they have seen pure hell in their last moments. They wore different types armors and weapons but most of the ones inside the crystals in relatively good condition, wore long dark colored capes.

Several shallow pools of clear water lay scattered throughout the cave, they resemble dark spots in the ground, reflecting what awaits above. The ceiling of the cave is high and obscured by darkness, preventing players from seeing the top. Up there ,on a large perch, stands a large winged creature watching down over this desolated domain of darkness. A dragon engulfed in obsidian scales and mists notices movement and noises below. It lets out a loud high pitched warning roar towards all that try to trespass into his capital lands.

After coming up with their final plan, the bone chilling sound of a whistle bounced off the walls of the cave, piercing the players ears. As the echo of the whistle faded, an eerie silence fell over them. Jomei could hear his heart beating in his ears, faster as the silence was broken by the gates to the boss' lair opening. As the Irishman turned his gaze to look into the dark cave, he could see the large dragon figure as it lowered to the ground, letting out an ear splitting wail. Jomei felt his blood run cold as its large green health bars appeared above its figure, the name <<Tesseleth the Tyrant>> coming into view. The tank of his group, Shield, sounding out with a battle cry, calling the first wave of players to arms, including Jomei. The man shook his head and grit his teeth, quickly throwing his hand on Ruby's shoulder. "Stay safe!" he yelled, before turning his attention to the dragon.

Shield seemed to grab the attention of the dragon with his Howl skill, and Zandra used her Banner of Leadership to give the players in the group one last boost of damage. Seeing none of the other players in his group make any immediate moves, Jomei figured he would head in first. "On me!" Jomei shouted as he began to run with his rapier at his side. Activating his Charge skill, Jomei shot forward like a bullet at the large dragon.  Once in range, the man slid to a stop, the tip of his rapier piercing into the leg of the beast, following with an onslaught of slashes and stabs. Once his attack had finished, he jumped backwards from the beast to create some distance.

It seemed like not everyone liked a well balanced team format.  Shield thought it through, giving his side of things and showed another way that they could split the teams apart.  With this method, they would have a near max team for both the first two teams, while leaving the last team with two of our stronger players, and the unknown orange player.  It would definitely get some power and damage to push through the early phases of the boss, but the third team was getting slammed hard without a support player.  It was the reason why that the hunter wanted Morgenstern as their tank to begin with.  The hunter knew that Morg was an alchemist and could create potions AND crystals that could heal others, just like Zandra, but unlike her, whom mostly only needed to rely on her First Aid, Morg could use potions and crystals, as need be.  Calrex, on the other hand, seemed to only have safeguards on him.  It would be better if they stayed with the hunter's earlier suggestion.....

But, it was too late.

The door opened as soon as the hunter opened his mouth to interject.  There was no time to discuss anything anymore.  It would only cause confusion.  Instead, he only agreed and followed Shield, Jomei, Ariel, and Zandra into the fray.

He only hoped that this would backfire on them in anyway.

---------------------

The start of the fight would begin with Shield gaining the attention of the creature.  Zandra seemed to start us off with a quick bout of buffing, which should have been done before they entered the boss room, but again... no time to discuss chaos.  Jomei, was the first to cause damage to the dragon, which seemed to be a fair notch off, but not much.  How powerful was this creature?  The hunter was close behind.

"Right behind you, Jomei!"

The hunter called out going for the opposite side of the leg that Jomei had just attacked.  Charge activated before he burst out into the leg and smashed his shoulder into the beasts obsidian hide.  Breaking out into a series of slashes, kicks and shoulder tackles, the hunter finished with a final uppercut that would fling him backwards; giving him momentum to get back, and away from Tesseleth's attacks.

Feeling the soft sensation of the cape between her fingertips, the blonde nodded in thanks to the dragoness then returned the hug and whispered: "Don't worry, neither of us will. That's a promise." Shortly after, the raid 'leader' started laying out the battle plan. After a short glance, the blonde frowned and was about to make her objections like she did once before. But to her surprise, her fiery partner took the lead and  kindly requested that the two stay in the same team. Disabling her Hiding skill, the blonde nonchalantly walked behind Zandra and wrapped her hands around her waist and loudly stated "My hero..."

Casting a side glance at the orange newcomer that seemed to be the unique variable in their plan, the blonde let out a snort when someone guesses that he would be around at least Macradon's level if he were to be joining him in the 3rd team. A small chuckle escaped as she watched the banter between the different party members, her weapon ready to be summoned in a instant if someone was aching for some pre-battle warmup. Lastly, the teams had ben decided the blonde took only a fading gaze at them before nodding to herself.

Shortly after, the boss  decided to make his long awaited debut and their team sprung into action. "So these are the new mods..." muttered the blonde as she clenched and unclenched her now reddish fists. "This is gonna be fun." she stated before summoning her trusty obsidian long spear. Dashing towards the equally dark themed dragon, the blonde unleashed her most powerful sword art upon it and a little more damaged than the last 2 attackers combined. This only served more of a ego boost to the blonde as she smirked, putting some distance between her and the massive opponent so that the next team can do its thing.

OOC: Zandra cannot activate Sharpness, damage changes. Also the Dragon Knight shouldn't be here, however its ability and one of the knights abilities will be revealed.

Tesseleth had let out a mighty roar as the battle began and looked down upon the players that came to challenge it, steam coming from out of its nose it had taken what the players had dished out to it, its eyes focusing on Team 1 it had let out a roar, and from the skies Tesseleth had taken a deep breath and breathed fire upon the entire group. Seeing through the flames he had seen that two players had been unaffected as if the could stand there and feel nothing from its attack which made him more angered, which me breathed more making the fires stronger, hitting the other players for damage and set them on fire. Tesseleth had landed on the ground and looked to the second party and breathed fire through its nose. He had shifted its body to meet the second party and was ready to take any damage they shoot towards it.

The golden paladin looked at the team of the Celestial Ascendants the stood under his protection, his command. He gulped. Once again, as a leader and tank, leadership and responsibility was placed upon him. He gave a smile to his team, before turning around. Shield happened to be the one to push open the door, bringing them into a cavernous room. Many crystalized structures surrounded the room and providing light. Many pools of purified, clean water were found scattered upon the room. It was a beautifully treacherous room. The first team began charging forward, gathering the first of the attention. E unsheathed his sword and sprung out his shield to its full size. "Alright Team 2, let's get in there!" He charged forward, eying the large boss that lay before him. It was a huge dragon, full grown as well to the look of it. It had dark scales that seemed impenetrable to their weapons. The temperature rised and moisture dropped as a blast of hot inferno swept across the first team. "Dragon Fire, Team One is going to be sustaining some pretty serious burns" He had to take the dragon off of them. 'Zandra needs to do some healing over there, but it appears the Tank, Shield is doing just fine. I wonder if he brought some of the Anti-Oxidant buffs' He nodded. Smart kid he was. He activated his <<Focused Howl>>  skill and gathered the attention of the beast.

"Alright Team 2, Aim towards the wings if you can, Dragons have the least scaled protection their. If you are using a blunt weapon or fists, aim towards its middle. Keep moving fast and ensure you don't look like an appetizer" He would begin to move in shortly, but for now he crouched to the ground, prepared for fire, teeth or claws.

HP Related Moves : When Tesseleth loses 25% of it’s health (It has 4 Health Bars) it revives crystallized knights which attack after the next party. The dragon flies up to its perch where it can't be attacked. On its next turn, the dragon releases a (Party AoE Attack) against the active party then drops down where it can be attacked again.

Itzal watched as the players began to enter the boss room.  Shield took on the hate of the boss and Itzal hoped that he would be alright.  While he did that, the others were attempting to deal as much damage as they could to the monster, dealing almost a full one thousand points of damage.  However there was still far more damage that was needed before it was finally defeated.  It was a boss raid after all.  The boss wasn't happy however, and breathed fire onto it's foes, or the party in question, and then seemed aggravated, launching a second wave of flames that caught nearly all the players on fire.  He saw this and also noted the limited amount of pools of water.  He didn't say anything yet, but if his theory was correct...  He checked to see if there was a healer in his party.  He saw Ruby and recalled her once telling him she was shooting for a healer build.  He looked at the second party but it didn't look like any of them had a healer.  They would have the hardest time then he thought.  Despite the fact that two of those players were a high level.  Itzal then refocused onto the boss as Jonathan used howl and heard his advice slash commands to the others.  As Itzal activated charge and passed Jonathan, he called out "Glad I'm not the only one whose obsessed with this kind of lore!"  He pushed off the ground with the help of charge, and released Meteor strike, dealing one hundred and sixty two points of damage.  Hey!  He dealt over one hundred and fifty on a boss raid!  That was a world record for Itzal!  After striking the dragon's wing joints, he backflipped off the dragon and leaped backwards back to his party, behind Jonathan but to his right side as well.  "We just can't get away from dragons it seems, you know?"

Littered throughout the room are crystallized warrios who seem to be frozen in place... and time. Some of the ones that remained intact inside the crystals wore solemn and determined expressions while others showed fear and agony as though they have seen pure hell in their last moments. Several shallow pools of clear water lay scattered throughout the cave, they resemble dark spots in the ground, reflecting what awaits above. Beat watched as the first party made their assault and scanned the health changes across the party, glad that most people had prepared with safeguards and that those preparations had successfully thwarted the initial assault from the boss. He was glad that, if the dragon attacked the same way against them, that he would be safe to let loose and lay into the dragon with everything he had, at least at first. He triggered his charge skill as he took off towards the first floor boss of the new tier, his form blurring as the skill dramatically increased his speed.

"Let's gooooo!"

Beat yelled as he charged forward, his sword art activating in his left hand as leaped into the air and he threw all of his weight and momentum behind a fierce overhead punch that targeted the middle of the Dragon's left wing. His attack crashed against the boss, leaving the characteristic red area that indicated damage had been done. Beat's eyes looked up to the boss's health bar and was not too disappointed is the change from his attack.

The battle had begun, Ruby was separated from Jomei, however she wasn't going to let it get to her, she knew Itzal and looking around were other people in his guild, she can only assume that they are all trustworthy. A black dragon had came from the skies and this was something Ruby had never seen before in her life, she had seen RPG bosses, but nothing so... realistic before, its almost terrifying, however this wasn't the time to chicken out. She had looked over to Party 1 as they had dished out as much damage as they possibly could towards the beast, and she had looked at the bosses HP... this thing looked barely scratched... she had began to wonder if it was possible to take down this thing, however looking back to the last party she had seen Death Adder, she squinted her eyes and could only imagine what kind of damage he could do. However he wasn't a concern, she shook her head as she knew she needed to do something before the boss would act. She had activated Sharpness and touched @Beat's back giving him extra damage.

+2 Base Damage to Beat for 3 Turns/

Hikoru watched as the frontliners decided teams, and he noticed and unseen young man appear. He seemed confident, cocky, and he had words to speak with Jomei. He did his best to listen in, but he couldn't get close enough without giving away his location. He gave a small sigh and continued to listen to the others. He was put into the second batallion. He mentally nodded to himself as he heard the whistle blow, the lights go out as the doors open, a red hue emanating from the doorway. He saw first and heard a rumble, and he charged in with just enough time before the stone behind him fell with a loud thud. They were trapped, and he didn't have a teleport crystal. He grit his teeth and made a mental note of that, he looked around and hid nearby, making sure his stealth wasn't compromised. Soon the fight began and the first batallion attacked, and the dragon fought, even breathing fire on the players. He knew that those players could be him if he wasn't careful. He gave a small sigh and backed away, letting the others attack before him before he struck the mighty Tesseleth. He sliced and diced, but the damage he dealt wasn't nearly as much as he wished it would be. He let out a small sigh and made sure to prepare for the worst.

Tesseleth took the blows from the players. His scales made it much too hard for him to be able to dodge out of the way easily. For them to miss would mean that they were horrible players, nowhere near as strong or as fierce as a dragon, and definitely nowhere near the strength of Tesseleth. He gave a roar as the last player seemingly appeared from the walls as he attacked, but his eyes were set onto the White-colored player within the group. He came over and charged, attacking and taking him within his maw and shaking him around, until he threw him to the ground. Hit teeth were able to take some blood, but his armor had seemed to take most of the blows. The dragon eyed him, now having a taste for him that would only be satisfied with his dead corpse within his stomach. He gave a roar and another blast of fire at the first group, a few feet from where they were to keep them back from helping any of the players. A low growl emanated from his throat as he looked for his next target, and his next meal.

<<Focused Howl>> Activated (8 Energy Used / 156 Remaining)
+5 Hate to Tesseleth

The fight had commenced, and it was long before the first two groups had entered the room that the Ultramarine Knight had decided to head in, his sword and shield already drawn and at the ready. The dark cavern certainly set the theme for this battle, of one against an ancient creature which supposedly called this its home. His eyes quickly scanned across, making not of the pools of water around while also quickly noting the size and other distinct features of the setting.

One main thing that still stood out in his mind were the captured warriors which littered the area. He had been through more than enough boss battles to know that minions were a borderline staple, and this might be no exception. If anything, it was only a matter of time before they were no longer fighting a single opponent.

With the first team seemingly having to endure the breath attack from the massive dragon, the pools of water were immediately brought to the bluenette's mind. Those things, at least if mechanics matched reality, would serve to assist putting them out, but at the same time with the shallowness of each it was possible that they could be expended, which might be far-fetched from reality unless the heat source was extremely high in temperature, but SAO did at times dumb down reality to make it easier to understand.

He watched all of the teams make their attacks, attempting to make a dent in the creature's defenses. They were all using the most that they could muster, combining damage after damage stacking techniques in order to maximize their output against the creature's legendary defense, its dragon scales. However, each blow showed that this was not going to be a quick fight like in the past. This would be one of attrition, one that they would need to be aware of. This was a new tier for them, which meant that the difficulty was likely going to be turned up to match. One small thing that came to his mind was Hikoru, who had immediately leapt out of the shadows to strike alongside his teammates. For being probably one of the few players that had opted for a stealthier approach, the young man's strategy of striking immediately seemed rather...odd.

"Practically every rogue in every game I've played in and played as...never really struck right out of the gate and exposed themselves at the start of the battle. Maybe the mechanics in SAO work very differently from that, but assassins maximized their opportunity to strike from the shadows, and that was supported by various things like skills and traits they invested into. They were burst damage dealers, not sustained ones like paladins or rangers. I wonder if he was ever taught properly about how to fight as a rogue, at least in terms of a game. In any case, I'd best keep focused. This is no time to be playing peanut gallery to other people's play styles."

Looking back at Macradon and the last person in his team, the one that seemingly no one decided to call by their username, Calrex gave a nod, glancing at his party list, "Death_Adder huh? Either that's supposed to be edgy, or he might have some interest in snakes."

"Mac...um...Adder, or whatever you want to be called by, I'll leave the damage-dealing to you two. Whoever has stronger single-target damage focus on Tesseleth to break through his defenses. The one with better group damage, keep an eye on those crystal soldiers. I don't trust them to stay put for long."

The Grand Guard III shield began to glow with radiating blue energy, alongside the Grand Blade III as the Ultramarine Knight readied <<Focused Howl>>, his eyes set on the dragon's. Pulling his sword back he slammed the flat end against the shield, the energy erupting outwards as the sound wave aura carried over to invade the dragon's ears.

"Now the focus is to stay alive..."

Macradon would stand proud by his Banner of Command as the doors to the boss raid opened and the three parties would begin to enter the boss room. Having his sword drawn in his right hand resting on his right shoulder, Macradon would with his left hand don his helmet and grab his banner and run into the room with everyone else, staying close to the party of Calrex and Death_Adder, or Life_subtractor, they meant the same anyways. The first party would go in and get a good chunk of health taken off of the boss, aggravating the lizard-like beast. Flashing fiery flames erupted from the dragon’s maw, engulfing the first party in it’s hellish flames before being targeted by the second party.

The first health bar of the great reptilian overlord was slowly beginning to get depleted, but the repetitive thing was that there were four of them, not three, not five, but four! Not much else was to do with them than take them out, and Macradon wasn't against the strategy of hitting it until it dies thing. This boss didn't even seem like that difficult a boss, just a big baddie and his smol dregs. Macradon would don a smirk on his lips as he went in for an attack after Calrex had begun his thing, grabbing the aggro from the draconic beast in front of them "Aye, I'll do my best" he said and would begin hsi assault. Macradon would quickly try to flank it as the focus was on Calrex. Mutliple quick sidesteps to the right was what Macradon had planned. After hearing that Mrogenstern would ask Party 2 to aim for the soft tissued wings, Macradon would do so too.

Getting into position, Macradon would lower his guard to a nebenhut guard, having his sword resting on the ground behind him in a low stance. With a quick tap with his feet, Macradon would begin to move forward in a blinding speed with his <Charge> skill. With great force, Macradon would bash into the great dragon's side. As he approached, he would jump up into the air and make a feroceous downwards strike, cleaing deep into the great dragon. His charge so violent it seemed nearly reckless, but with the added momentum to his attack, the sword that weighed too much and his vicious charge would probably be enough to knock the giant dragon off its balance for a short while to give the Life_Subtracter guy some opening to go in a deal tons of damage.

Seiichi had looked over to Calrex as he had spoke out to both him and Macradon, all he did was offer a smile, shaking his head he knew what to do, its not rocket science to figure out what he had said. Death_Adder examined Macradon as he moved forward to attack... pathetic damage, looks like Death_Adder was going to be in this fight for a while at the damage other people are displaying. Truly pathetic. Death_Adder smiled wider as he had taken out both the Blade of Michael and Lucifer and with a great amount of speed, he lunged forward with Bullrush hitting it with the Eclipse, swinging his sword faster than anyone could have imagined, however he had grinned neither the Blade of Lucifer or Michael had seemed to be hungry enough to provide their power... what a shame.

OOC: Tesseleth's HP has been changed because of other effects that were ignored. Thanks Shield.

Tesseleth gave a roar as the last remaining three attacked. While one gained his attention and his anger, one of them hit him with a pathetic attack which left him immobile, and another gave him a reasonable attack. That one would make a fine meal. He only gave a growl as he looked at them. All of these players would be the perfect meal if he had the chance to grab them. But now he was stuck at this spot, only able to look at the morsels in front of him. His scales clanged as they soon froze into place, and he knew that he stood no chance of getting to attack the blue-armored morsel. Another growl emitted from his throat as he breathed fire towards them, but the flames were unable to reach them whatsoever. He eyed the next team coming up, trying to decide which ones he would eat first when he got the chance. He gave one last mighty roar before eyeing his crystallized soliders within the room. He thought to bring them, but he knew that he wouldn't need to worry about it for now. He could handle these puny morsels by himself, it would only take time to get them within his grasp.

Boss Room Info: The boss room is a large cavern, with many earthen columns, stalactites, and stalagmites. Littered throughout the room are crystallized warriors who seem to be frozen in place...

As the fight wore on, Shield kept close watch on the various gauges before him, both in the party display and surrounding the boss itself. They had depleted most of Tesseleth's first health bar, which meant that there was a chance that the board before them might change very soon. In the mean time, however, the energy pools of the other players in his party had begun to dip. It was difficult to gauge how many actual points were lost and how long it would take for each to be depleted, but if nothing else, the rough remaining percentage could be used as a benchmark, and Ariel's seemed to have lost just a hair more than the others.

So now I get to aid the reckless.

He had known that this was going to be trying for him, so he did his best to set aside his reservations. Unless someone went rogue, they were all on the same side, at least for now. Whatever mystery surrounded Lowenthal's death, it would have to wait for another day.

"Ariel! Heads up!" Shield called out. With a flash of metal, he tucked his sword into the strap of his shield and clenched his empty, leather clad hand. Light gathered around it as he began focusing points from his own energy pool into a ball that, upon opening his fingers, rested in his palm. He then swung his arm, tossing the collected energy at his fellow front-liner. The globe impacted on her body, spreading and dissipating along its surface. At the same time, the gauge of her energy rose back up about half way to the top as his own dipped yet lower. At this rate, he might run out first, but with any luck, he wouldn't need to do anything with it besides funnel it into his tentative allies.

"We've made a dent, everyone!" he cried to those assembled. "It's going to slow down after that first wave, but stay focused! There's still a lot we don't know about this encounter!"

His eyes flickered across the pools of water and the crystallized warriors. Ever since he had first seen them, he had wondered whether their purpose. They couldn't be other players. Nobody had attempted this raid so far, and even if they had, players didn't stay behind when they died. They were either decorative or potentially extra firepower for the boss. Only time would tell.

In his ears, something stirred that someone had shouted a few moments ago. In the heat of battle, it hadn't fully registered at first, but it floated into his awareness now.

'Adder?' Wasn't the player who... no, it couldn't be-

He shook his head, turning his attention back to the gargantuan foe before them. There was no time for speculation. Even with the boss momentarily stunned, there was no guarantee of safety.

We're in the thick of it, now! Focus!

The first wave of attacks from the first group seemed to go well. Its first health bar still had some green to it, but the group in itself had taken out a large chunk. He could see even more being dropped when their entire group unleashed their sword arts in the next wave. Their initial attacks seemed to annoy Tesseleth, rather than wound him too much. The Irishman watched as a thick smoke began to pour from the corners of the dragon's mouth, raising its head into the air as it took in a deep breath. The cavern was then illuminated by a raging flame, shooting out in their direction. Jomei's eyes went wide as he took a step back to brace himself, raising both of his arms in an X in front of him to block the heat from the attack. Thanks to the Safeguard he had taken before the fight, the flames seemed to pass Jomei like rushing water past a giant boulder, leaving the ginger completely unscathed.

The rest of the raid team unleashed their attacks, dealing more and more damage to the dragon. Its first health bar at this point was almost completely depleted, starting the rotation once again. Knowing he had already exhausted his Charge skill on this beast, he knew that his next attacks would not deal as much damage, but he needed to make sure they counted. After Shield initiated their groups turn once again, Jomei shot into action. The man ran forward yet again, his feet carrying him around the random pools and crystallized soldiers. Using a fallen stalactite as a spring board, Jomei launched into the air, spinning in the air and thrusting his sword into the scaled neck of the beast. His body began to return to the stone floor, stabbing and cutting all the way down its armored skin. "Damn.. not that much." he cursed to himself under his breath, quickly escaping from Tesseleth's grasp to where the rest of his group stood.

Shield have got the dragons aggro, Ariel, Jomei and Hirru had charged in and damaged the huge beast. If this fight would proceed like every other battle in this death game, now the dragons counter would come. Zandra placed herself in a steady stance, preparing for the impact if the attack would hit her as well. She had tilted her head down and closed her eyes, but now she glanced at the fantasy monster. When she saw it open its jaws she looked up with a smile.’’Yes!’’ she said as she opened her arms like she was gonna embrace someone. A few moments later, the fire came out of the dragons mouth and Zandras whole party bathed in the flames. ‘’Haha, wonderful.’’ The berserk healer said to herself. Slowly the heat faded away as the dragons attack was over. ‘’That ended way to quickly.’’ Zandra mumbled to herself. But at least she herself was on fire so she still felt some lovely burning heat. But now it was their turn to attack back. She took a steady grip of her axe and was gonna charge forth when she spotted Ariel that was also on fire. She looked back and forth between the dragon and lioness. ‘’Screw this.’’ She said as the axe was planted in the ground and the alchemist pressed four invisible buttons in a circle and finished of with pushing the middle of the now floating yellow circle with open palm. Second later Ariel was surrounded by a yeallow aura for a few seconds, stopping the fire and healed her back up to full health.

The hunter could only watch as the great dragon wreathed them in flames, as was a dragons true weapon.  Although the fire caught onto him, he was not thinking about any sort of panic, or salvation.  Instead, he was back in his mind, looking for the counter measure.  The last meeting that they had brought into question that this dragon could have elemental breath attacks.  The hunter thought that the warriors were trapped due to the dragon's element being ice, but that seemed to be the wrong hypothesis.  That went along with the fact that the water could be used to paralyze players that get caught in the breath attacks, if it were ice.  Again, now wrong.  With fire, the pools of water are now...

"Fire.. extinguishers...  The pools can extinguish the flames, maybe!  If you're in dire need to reduce the flames, jump in!  I do not think that they are traps, like we thought in the meeting."

The hunter thought aloud before passing by the water to get in another attack.  It may be weaker than before, but he would push them along as much as possible.  Giving a few slashes to the same leg as before, the hunter doubled back before passing by one of the frozen knights.  'Come to think of it.  Why were they frozen here then?'  Is the trap not the pools, but the knights as they originally thought?  The truth would have to wait and see.

"Keep on the barrage, @Ariel - The Crowned Lion!  We've nearly ripped through a good quarter, I hope."

Tesseleth the Tyrant - HP: 9030/12000 - MIT: 135 - ACC: 4 - EVA: 0 - Stunned

Boss Room Info: The boss room is a large cavern, with many earthen columns, stalactites, and stalagmites. Littered throughout the room are crystallized warriors who seem to be frozen in place...

Tesseleth Abilities:

First Attack: Tesseleth’s first attack against the first active party will be Dragon Fire. If he is dropped below 75% health in the first round, he will use Dragon Fire, and THEN do his HP related move set.

Slash (Basic Attack): CD 1-7:  Deals 350 Mitigable Damage with it’s claws and/or mouth, to its main target.

??? : CD 8-10: ???

Dragon Fire (AoE Attack) : CD 11-12: Deals 100 unmitigatable damage and sets the active party's main and 3 secondary targets on fire, dealing 50 Burn DOT3. Players may jump into one of the 15 pools of clear water that are scattered around the room and cancel the DOT3; it takes one post action and after usage, a pool shrivels up and disappears. ???

HP Related Moves : When Tesseleth loses 25% of it’s health (It has 4 Health Bars) it revives crystallized knights which attack after the next party. The dragon flies up to its perch where it can't be attacked. On its next turn, the dragon releases a (Party AoE Attack) against the active party then drops down where it can be attacked again.

OOC: @Ariel - The Crowned Lion takes 100 unmitigated damage for not posting.

The obsidian dragons scaled seemed to shudder and shake as the gigantic beast fought to free itself from the pitiful effect placed upon it by player donned in ivory and crimson armor. Tesseleth let out a low growl that rumbled from its core, his eyes watching as the puny players took this opportunity to tend to one of their comrades, while the other two attempted to damage the dragon. Their attempts, however, proved futile, seeming no more damaging that mosquitoes against Tesseleth’s hardened scales.

With the stunning effect finally wearing off, the dragon shook its head, its large talons digging into the stone floor, before letting out an ear piercing wail that shook the cavern, creating a small tremor beneath the player’s feet. Up from above them, sharp stalactites began to fall, crashing into the floor. Where most of Tesseleth’s enemies were able to avoid the falling debris, the blonde haired Ariel was hit with a direct strike, knocking down the health that her comrade had bestowed upon her.

Large red eyes scanned the first wave of morsels in front of him, locking onto the player who seemed to lead the rest of the group into the charge. He would do for a nice snack before sinking his teeth into the rest of the pitiful players. Lifting one of its large arms to the side, the dragon swiped its claws at Shield, the force of his attack tearing into the stone floor of the cavern, sending rocks and debris soaring out of his path. Tesseleth's attack, however, just seemed to miss the heavily armored player, leaving the man unscathed. The dragon growled in disgust, before turning his attention to the second group that prepared their weapons to face the might of The Tyrant.
