Reytac had thought he'd seen something after he finished restarting his purpose for being out here to Mari. He couldn't tell if she was dismissive of his actions, and being here, or just thought him an idiot, but he wasn't going to just keep arguing or defending himself to someone he barely knew. So he had turned to start putting action to word to look for something, to actually gather materials. The brief statement, warning, was given without actually responding to him. And it was all the warning he had as one foot suddenly landed on his back. Then he was propelled forward as the wom

He was still talking, chattering away - and as he bent down to....was he gathering? As he bent down - distracted Mari had to literally springboard off his back, "I'll make this up to you later-" She'd say as a booted foot firmly found its way into the mid of his back - she'd jump from there, and disappear just behind the treeline of the forest - Mari had seen the blue glint of another packs eyes, they were hunting. Hungry. And The man seemed to be an all too willing target for them. Even amidst the trees Mari was able to make short work of them, each one torn in half with a single strike

For about half a moment, as the fireball was lobbied onto the massive two handed weapon, lighting it in flames, Reytac wondered if he had completely and totally misread the orange-haired woman. Was she a mass-murderer, only calm inside her store? For a brief second, chestnut hair and warm hazel eyes filled his mind as he braced himself for what was apparently going to be his end. But then she was moving past him, flames trailing behind her in an arc as she descended on some wolves that he hadn't even spotted were approaching. As her weapon cleaved through them without even slowing down,

Afternoon there shoplady! Surprised to see you out here in the snows!" Mari's eyes locked on the man, what was his name again? Raven? No, it had a t in there somewhere, Rattack? Seemed about right. He had called out to her, and in doing so caught the eye of a pack of wolves. A complete and utter idiot! He could have very well gotten himself brutally injured screaming about in the snowy wastes like that. Eyes still on him, or better yet, behind him Mari held out her arm, her weapon flashing into existence. Then with a snap of her fingers fire ignited in her right palm then she lobbed it to

Reytac blinked as he got closer to the orange splash he'd seen. It was indeed familiar, and someone he wouldn't have expected to see again outside of her store. It was the orange haired orange-tagged player, Mari, that he has purchased some confections before. He paused for a moment. This was someone who had done something that had gotten them labeled as a Player Killer - but from what he knew, the system took nothing at all into account. Self defense, or defense of another, none of it would matter. So, jumping to conclusions about this would be a terrible and stupid idea. Besides, she w

[PT-PP-F8] Homicide Honeymoon Pt. 3 (SoW: Leeching Nightmare)

Quest Objective | Must travel to the Stygian River [3/3] Might be worth the investment. It was all the motivation Mari needed to do just that, "Then I shall make it happen. You should see the col I've amassed lately!" Mari said to him as she'd turn to offer him a kiss on the underside of his chin. Her eyes fluttered close as she took a moment to breathe deep, enjoying the mix of earthy and chemical scents that came from him. The scent of gasoline and acetone a little stronger than usual. Mari couldn't help but laugh into her kiss before pulling away. "I can tell you've been working, -
Mari had actually managed to sleep in, only waking to a coffee Lancaster had bought her - laced with perhaps a little too much vanilla syrup for her liking, then again - Mari wasn't normally a fan of coffee, and had only started drinking it because of her brother and because of her lover. Mari drank every single last drop of that precious gift to her. Despite her partners protests for her to stay in bed all day she couldn't. Mari still had some work to do. She hadn't finished clearing out the mobs that swarmed near her home - instead choosing to go take a bath with him. So now, Mari trud

[PT-PP-F8] Homicide Honeymoon Pt. 3 (SoW: Leeching Nightmare)
Lancaster replied to Mari's topic in Beginner Floors
A small reprieve, a bit of shut eye to relax the chaotic schedule the pair had held the last few days. Albeit Lancaster's not nearly as demanding as Mari's yet even still it wasn't easy. Something as simple as a nap and a conversation not racked by tension and drama had worked wonders in thinning out stress that had been building for the man for some time. Fingers intertwined with Mari's, finding the warmth welcoming as they'd travel through the sights and sounds of multiple floors. Organic yet long, the red head couldn't help but draw that normally this would have been frustrating but Mari ma -

Reytac stepped out from the safety of Snowfrost and almost immediately felt nervous energy wrap around him. He wasn't yet to a point where the low floors he was familiar with would be a cake walk for him, so danger still lurked in the wings. But he also knew that if he didn't push himself, didn't try to grow, he never would. And if he didn't get stronger he'd never be able to push towards the front lines, to try helping get them out of this abominable death game. And now that he was coherent, just sitting back and leaving his fate to other people stuck in his throat like a jagged piece of ice.

Mari straightened her back, arching it as several places in her spine popped. Another yawn fell from her - Mari covered it with the back of her hand before rubbing her eyes. Maybe she should take a nap after. Especially before making the trek back down to the fourth floor. Mari shifted her weight as Jomei sat next to her, readjusting herself so she was more comfortable. She'd lean forward, arms crossed over her thighs as she stared down at the clear water - she could see large silvery fish swimming against the currents. Mari listened as Jomei told her it was her favourite place. "We have that
