Mari replied to Morningstar's topic in Merchants and Shops
Mari glanced at her wallet and noted her 14k col. well shit. "aight." She said as she slammed the col down on the bench. "Now I have about 500 left to my name." She better get somethign good out of this. Next time, she might just junk everything. -Sent 11420 col to Mornignstar- -
[F8 | R5 Appraiser] Honeydew & Hushwind | PK ACCESSIBLE!
Morningstar replied to Morningstar's topic in Merchants and Shops
Morningstar eyed the pool of unidentified items. It wasn't often a broke player killer wandered into his store. He played along curiously. "A little over 18,000 col for these, but the junk items will offset the cost." He ran the math in his head. "You're looking at... 11,420 col total." @Mari -- can do tmrw afternoon !! -
At headquarters, Morningstar filtered through his files. An influx of new trackers meant a higher volume of work for the guild leader. Though the guild made them out to be bonified freelancers, it wasn't an accurate description. They required all the same training and communion that a standard guild would provide. The increased output and rising success rate of rumors made it a worthy tradeoff, however. Morningstar's vision was coming true. Two rookies in particular caught his eye: Gambit and Riardon. The later was recruited by Wulfrin, but Morningstar wasn't overly familiar with Gambit.

Mari replied to Morningstar's topic in Merchants and Shops
The woman entered the small store; feeling fatigued. Having just come down from the ever overbearing miasma tic effects of the 10th floor. "Hey, so I got some things to appraise... and some to junk." She sighed, glancing away as she tugged on her fringe. "I...may be broke. Very broke. Like, I've never been this fucking poor since being in the town of beginings broke...so..." Mari shifted her eyes back to the tall blonde man. "What's the damage? How much am I being set back by." A pause. She wasn't able to interact with others all that much. "Do you know of any way to get a lot -
[PP-PT-F25] Life Within the Labyrinth | Nature's Treasure
Mari replied to Morningstar's topic in Intermediate Floors
She needed money. Mari was flat ass broke after upgrading her house. Mainly thanks to Freyd giving her the inspiration and desire to finally upgrade her house. Partly, partly because her beloved got a little bit too excited and singed a hole in the ceiling. She’d have to remind herself to chemically treat the entire place before he visited. So, Mari found herself in a very lush labyrinth - filed with thriving wildlife and thick flora. Vegetation burst from every nook and cranny. Grass grew between cracks in the path, if Mari were to look up at the sky it was practically enshrouded in a se -
The dingy left much to be desired. And Sable had desired a lot more boat to work with. With a sigh he waited until the others had gotten situated in the poor excuse for a boat before hopping in himself and untying it from the dock. He listened to Edict as he told them they needed to keep the lighthouse to their right as they skirted the coastline. The sword bearer was consulting a barely filled map as he spoke to them. Opening his own map he trace a finger along the coast where he had filled in more of the map. "Hah, sorry to be the barer of bad news but there is no safe zone here Ed

With the sword back in his hands, it began to whisper the way forward. He just wished it hadn’t pulled them to the dinghy Elora had found. “I would really like to avoid the water if it’s possible. I can’t swim all that well in heavy armor.” The words had leaked to the party before his brain caught the absurdity. To confirm what he already knew, he looked down at his body. Not even cloth armor—just the scraps of clothing every player recognized as their first set, bestowed by the game. He looked back at the party with a nervous expression. “I… used to wear heavy armor. Force of habit.

Sable blinked. He stared at Krow for a moment, trying to process her words when it downed on him. His face turned a beat read and he attempted to cover his mouth with his hand as he turned away. "You-- I-- Yeah. Alright." he managed to get out. He couldn't bring himself to look her in the eyes, but if he had he would have seen the eyes and grin of a cat. She bit her lip as she watched him squirm and went went back to her drink satisfied. At least until she realized he hadn't shown her the location of his secret pond. "I neeed the map daata." she slurred. He turned back to her an

"Elora.", she introduced herself bluntly. Meanwhile, her mind ran in frantic circles. She had been looking to them for aid, and suddenly she was supposed to be one in charge? What the hell are you doing on the HIGHEST LEVEL?!, she nearly blurted out. Under different circumstances, she would have hounded the trio for coming here. But there was no time to waste. Not for her sake and especially not for their's. Leaving the blue one to handle the sword, Elora would look for a way to make the others useful. "You know where to go -- so we just need to get there.", she thought aloud as ey

A cold wind, bitter and ambient, swirled around Mari’s feet as she rolled into the misty shores of the forest that surrounded a lake. The area had a coldness that tore through her skin and seeped deep into muscle and bone. It was difficult being here. A gloved hand instinctively reached up to wipe away residue from her lips. Gemini. A quest that seemed so innocuous at first. But through a series of unfortunate events it had become so much more. Now - it was the first step of many Mari wanted to take to better herself. First this. Then redemption. The woman wore what was not so affe

"FUCK YOU ALL!!!" Akir's rage bowed trees and grass alike away from her like a microburst snapping the wind in a sudden rotation all around them. The spontaneous proto-tornado wrenched the chains from her companion's grasp, loosening all hold upon the raging gloopy mess-of-a-Mari, who promptly tore the barbs from her inky flesh and hurtled them back at their bearer. Something akin to a tentacle spun around, spawned from nothing and existing only long enough to snare a wide-eyed Mari and toss her into Akir's only remaining way out: right through Montjoy. Detached from his caster in the c

the knight doesn't answer. instead, as arabelle is trying to keep an eye on it between the dozen attacking bodies of the frontlines, it changes faces and suddenly, it's lessa charging straight towards a wide-eyed jomei. the strike lands. the violin's bow stutters, the last of jomei's song plummeting beneath the noise, and before morningstar could catch on, arabelle is moving to intercept, the spear point of her scythe puncturing the woman's armor. Shadows clung to Ariel like a second skin. Nihilim’s Wrath trembled in its saya—a live wire of hunger. Dark flame licked the scabbard’s rim, whispering of defences unmade. Dracul’s taunt hung in the air, holy light painting him a perfect beacon. Taneuma took the bait, lightning gathering in its maw. She moved. No flourish. No war cry. A single fluid motion— calculated Iaijutsu. The blade cleared the saya as shadowflame lingered. Steel met Taneuma’s crackling flank. Silence. For one fractured second, voltage and void warred. Then shadowflame consumed. Midnight fire boiled th

[F22 - PP|PT] Calm before storm «SotW:SS»
Dracul replied to Ariel - The Crowned Lion's topic in Intermediate Floors
Liquid light surged toward me—a tsunami of raw voltage roaring across the lake’s mirror surface. Guardian’s Oath flared in my grip, the rose-etched steel humming with holy energy as I planted my feet. Memories of Suterusu flashed: my sword swinging through empty air, knees sinking into mud while spectators jeered. Never again. The shield slammed down hard, carving a furrow in silt as blue rose motifs ignited. "OVER HERE, HORSIE!" Focused Howl tore from my throat—a sonic hook burying itself in Taneuma’s storm-core. Impact. White noise. Crushing force. Holy light flared around the shie -

Birches thinned to reeds, then surrendered to barren silt. Before them stretched the Lake of Reflection—an immense mercury mirror, blindingly bright and treacherously depthless. Nihilim’s Wrath burned against Ariel’s hip, its shadowflame writhing like a chained beast scenting freedom. Dracul halted, knuckles bone-white on his weapon's hilt. "No clouds. A sniper’s sky." Millicent knelt, pressing her palm flat to the damp mud. "Energy convergence confirmed… focal point dead center." Her coat’s grey-blue hem darkened as water seeped into fabric. Darius unclipped his supply pack. "Trench lines? Ca

[EV-PP-F27] Once More Unto the... Carnival? <<Ravana's Revenge>>
Foyle replied to Rencesvals's topic in Intermediate Floors
A trio of shots in quick succession, each thunked heartily into the demon king's chest. His balance teetering, one final step back proved his literal downfall as he tripped over Jeeves' low-tech improvised trap. Fire-ridden, Ravana tumbled ass over tea kettle, bringing down his own tent in the process. Flames leapt from his scorched and broken shell, screams of anger and frustration unleashing impotent fury that only spread the flame faster. Within seconds, the pavilion was gone and the demon king with it. The demon girls ceased their dancing, uncertain what more was expected of them, -
Lydia blinked. Hearing the same thought she’d had vocalized had done something. A reminder. Her frown turned into a wide grin as she looked up at Landon on stage. He was right. Even when things got bad, one of Lydia’s few pleasures had been witnessing people enjoy her music. Her sound, her moves. Even that mass-produced, curated message. Maybe these NPCs were more perceptive than they let on. “Alright Landon. Show me a little somethin’” The NPC led her to that gadget sitting upon the counter. Upon closer examination, she realized it was a sound deck. She tapped the keys, fillin

A bird’s nest fell out of a nearby tree, brushing her shoulder before colliding with the ground. Lydia jumped, a startled chirp of a scream falling from her mouth. She looked down at the remnants - the broken bundle of twigs and the shattered eggs and sighed. Okay, maybe not ice in the veins. But certainly woman enough to stand on business. Maybe. Time would only tell. There was just so much she didn’t know. Spending so much time in her cocoon had been the only way to survive, but it left her without any concept of living. She’d done well, she thought, eking by day-by-day. She w
