  2. Back around come the light of morning, Setsuna was more then eager to give this another shot. Her blade sharpened and polished down to the razor's edge, clicked shut in its sheathe before traveling back down to the town of beginnings. Still stood where it rested before, the ring already had a gaggle of players gathering around its edges. Into the ring the girl bounds without much caution, shortly after Acanthus takes their leave. Squaring her stance as her legs spread apart, knees bent. Her right hand hovers the handle of her katana, and her eyes close. An exhale welling up all the strength sh

  4. Acanthus came up from the bow to see another gift underneath the tree. Cautiously, she glanced down at the materials in her hand, then back to the tree, and then back to the materials again. She reached toward the second gift as though it might explode at any second. Was this a trick? They were only supposed to receive one per day. It was unlikely the game had glitched out and given her a free gift. Was it a test from some unknown quest NPC? If she took the second gift, would Santa put her on the naughty list? Nobody else noticed or cared. Swarms of people marched for the gifts, picking u

  8. The festivities felt quite Christmas-y. There were the traditional fir trees, decked with holly and all the other things the songs loved to go on about. There were yule logs burning, minefields of mistletoe, tall and shirtless bronze men with pig-heads, and banquet tables of eggnog and desserts. Acanthus backpedaled for a moment. The statutes… those weren’t usual Christmas fare, right? Her family did Christmas, but they were never crazy about it. Just a few gifts and a family dinner. Acanthus herself didn’t care for it much: nothing against the people that did enjoy it, she just never kne
  9. More then interested in the promise of free wealth, Jibae walks through the streets past all manner of multicolored packages of plenty. The whole place was brimming with but a single gift for every player in aincrad, and as a result players from all walks were littering the place. Her goal was simple, to collect her proprietors as well as her own. The long rectangular box under her arm was for her boss, the small little envelope was hers. Inside was documentation, cited and notarized down to every signature and cliff note. Something so utterly boring to most was absolutely invaluable to the wo
  10. Arms crossed, Illi leans against one of the main thoroughfare taverns watching players lose their metaphorical shit each time a box is opened. It was almost pathetic, but yet she does peg the oddity of the contents. A trick of the system to be sure, where at first she was wondering if there was something more supernatural at play. From above something smacks her in the head and bounces off, clattering to the ground in front of her. "What the...?" She squeals rubbing the spot on her dome that it ricochet off of. The small box the size of a bagel sat stark on the stone road, encouraging her to t
  11. In her fluffy white coat, Lynn breathes into her mittens to give her hands a bit of warmth. Her face cherry red from ice skating for the last couple hours with a group of her friends. This breather because her legs hurt, and from her side she claims a little paper cup of hot cocoa. Wandering through the crowd of people, she cannot help in share in their joy. Although the slight tinge of loneliness starts to set in, given no one she knew to hang around with around this season she had access to. Sucking on her drink as she'd wade through the gathering, she nearly spits it out when she sees the l
  12. The lime green guy couldn't be more annoyed, all this seasonal foot traffic had made procuring material in the town of beginnings a logistical nightmare. A couple bolts in his arms, he keeps having to stop and navigate around people who stop dead and start staring stupidly at the festivities. "Get the fuck out of my way." Anton shrieks in his most scrooge like impression. Through the bustling streets, he continues down the paths and trips on something. His foot caught he turns around and aims to kick it out of the way. But what stares back is a little striped box in black and white, quite like
  13. Ruri couldn't help but find the large crowd to be less then inviting. Disappearing into her hood as she pulls it tight around the back of her head, her hands then seeking her hoodie pockets and keeping her head down. All this revelry wasn't at all quite as inspiring to her as it was to the others. But even still somewhere deep down she couldn't leave, perhaps through a sense of bittersweet nostalgia. Scanning the groupings as she moved, Ruri's sights lock in and set upon a gift all its own isolated from the others. A dark blue package with deeper red ribbon to tie it shut. Squarely on its top
  14. The blonde chirped excitedly as she looked up at the decorations, bending her wrist at odd angles to scan something with her eyes. "Isn't it glorious beans? All of this just popped up overnight!~" She swooned with her attention falling lower to look at the ground littered with gifts. Wandering the walkway past players expressing all manner of joy and excitement, she scans the containers until she sets on the little baby blue box with her name plastered on it. "For me~ For me beans!" Mokka jubilantly screeches to her wrist before unfolding her awkwardly curled appendage. To the box, she remarks
  15. Beneath the building size Christmas tree in all of its spectacle, Abelith wasn't too dug in to the season like most were. But the promise of a free little knick knack or something really drew her attention. This little game event really had pushed inspirations forward. Wandering until she spots the little sticker with her name written on it, the girl shrugs and leans down to take it. The magenta colored wrapping with silver ribbon and bow, she licks the front of her teeth. "Hmm, no way." A hop into her memory. I am sure I can manage Ms. Fontaine, it will be an elegant piece of work. Using her
  16. A simple analysis as multiple people kept taking swipes at this figure, Hound presses a leather gloved hand into his chin. "It is as if he is made of metal..." The turn of phrase as he'd scan his surroundings. Disappearing from the crowd, he'd wander the stalls and collect some supplies. Mixed and combined all manner of objects, Hound had what he believed would be Gob Gob's undoing. A toss of a bottle of clear fluid at Gob Gob, it breaks on that skin causing what sounds like sizzling in a pan mixed with smoke. Seconds later another is tossed, making a fire sprout across that moisture all the w

  18. After Arbalest finally calmed herself down, Reytac would help lead her to the location she would need to complete the next objective of the quest. With a deep breath she would audibly sigh. "I'm sorry you had to see me like that. I've been known to have a short fuse when I feel like my time is being wasted." He would mention that helping her would nullify her objective progress. It made sense, though largely it would be unnecessary. "No worries. I'll lay them out easily." Her claws escape her jacket, hands barely visible, as she rushed into the fray with a small pack of boars. They rush h
  19. Acanthus's voice would suck Firefly out of her anxiety, forcing a small yelp of surprise to escape her. "Ah, no worries! I spend a lot of time here lately since I opened up my workshop so I was already hanging around." Acanthus would mention their mission regarding the rumor having to do something with flowers. Firefly would smile. "Yes. I reviewed what's known since I had the time but there's not much information to go off of. Flowers around a graveyard are wilting and dying. Not unnatural for flowers but apparently they're pretty special. It's said that souls of elves who had passed are
  20. Like so many others, Celeste was wandering the bare spaces between mounds of presents. It was an interesting escape from the trials of floor 26, and the festival really gave her the chance to relax. Spotting a small little box addressed to her, the label being perched just right for her to see it from a cursory glance. A little thing in black paper and deep red bow, she picks it up and turns it over. "This some kind of joke?" Her expression showed one of outrage, but as to why she doesn't say. The box in her hands is ripped open, and she unfolds it. Sliding it over from its center, the outer p
  21. Through the sea of gifts that sat idle beneath the massive pine tree that glowed with tinsel and lights. Players around seemed to dig through the mass and find packages addressed to them, and deep down ERROR felt that pull as well. It moved without reason or designation, as if without purpose as it navigated that tide of color. Its sights set on something so utterly mundane and plain. A small box no bigger then the palm of ones hand, wrapped not in festive paper but in brown. Simple, unassuming. Down it kneels as the robe billows out, and as its picked up the label is indecipherable and distor
  22. Winding into the pile like a speeding bulldozer, Shiina sets her sights on the most colorful among them. Yet her feet slow as one snags her attention far easier. Her normally cheerful expression becomes one far more somber, quiet for one of the only times it had ever been during her entire stints in Aincrad. Her stroll moves slow, sluggish like someone dazed walking to the bathroom in the middle of the night. All the while her attentions locked dead to that little seeming benign package. Sitting down and inhaling sharply, Shiina pulls it into her lap. White sparkle flecked paper, the little fl
  23. The prim little box wrapped in a matte red paper, the green ribbon that kept its top closed tied tightly. A slight sour note as if someone had ripped through her history and had pulled it into the real. It mirrored a number that sat in her own home around this season. From the side she seeks out and finds the little dangling tag. Simmone But it wasn't printed, but in handwriting from what looked like an old quill. Simmone's heart sank as she read it, as if in disbelief and shock. It breathed to so many questions that she was desperate to solve. The only thing she could do to find th
  24. The rather large smithy found the flavor the season to be delightful. A reminder of the times he was able to share with his twin girls. The wrapping paper around his gift was a garbled mess of tape and green shiny paper, like someone's failed attempt at wrapping it up. The label misspelled and some of the letters backwards in crayon. It was perfect, and was pulled straight from fond memories. Pulling what bit of tape he could muster, it does take him a moment to get it open given the wads of scotch tape. Inside he finds but a single photograph, and a small bent to hell hair light blue clip tha

  26. The girl seemed utterly uninterested in all of the festivities, and yet clearly there was some sort of ulterior motive to all this. As she scanned almost angrily at the box with her own face chibi'd all over the wrapping paper like a further insult, the bow sat squarely with a little label that dangled in filigree. A knife from her belt is slid out, and checking it for trip wires she finds it wasn't rigged to blow. But even still she perched and tensed up as if expecting to need to make a hasty retreat. Instead of an explosion, she finds a little bottle of glowing flakes in a bottle and a new
