  4. Alinta watched silently as he worked. Yeh, he must be Japanese, she recognized the way he'd hone his blade...from a live action romance - forbidden flowers in bloom. She wished she was at home, warm in her bed...eating out of a bucket of ice cream watching that show. Instead...she was here, with a real life swordsman, it'd almost make her heart flutter - if she wasn't completely terrified of him. Alinta didn't quite realize she was staring till he stood and let the sword hit the wood with a thwak. She jolted with a flinch, eyes shifting to the blade. Then, in a movement the woman barely n
  5. Lysette hadn’t really known what to expect when the song began. But by the time they had got into it proper, she could tell that her duet partner was a very skilled musician. His own personal flair had been sublime. His voice even more so. Though she wished that he might have leaned a bit more into it. They finished their number far more quickly than she would have hoped. It was a rare pleasure to find such a fantastic duet partner. Their number was met with a smattering of applause. Lysette noticed that the crowd had thinned somewhat. Perhaps they were availing themselves of the Upper Rooms?
  6. The man drew that sharpening stone down the length of his tanto, casting flashes of light each time they are raked against them. A finely honed blade, one eye closes as the other inspects the edge for any knicks. Satisfied it is slid in a sheath on his back, and be begins to work on the other. All the while his eyes are locked intrinsically with Alinta's who had not broken eye contact since their arrival. For some other player killers that would be irritating, to Bran he found it actually worth applauding. Standing up he tosses the blade straight down, making it hum as it plants into the floor
  7. The wind had grown cooler by the time Jack reached the far side of the grove. The sunlight filtered through drifting clouds now, turning the plains into a patchwork of gold and gray. He moved slower this time, scanning the ground for anything that stood out, anything that could make this little excursion feel more like progress and less like grasping at luck. The memory of the victory still kept his vein humming in the most delicate manner. The faint sensation of joy from seeing 'Materials Acquired' had triggered some kind of a mechanism in a deep corner of his mind, something that was ti
  8. Jack moved farther into the flats and the grass seemed to get longer and taller with every step. His steps would make rustling sounds as he walked through the grassy land, but the land soon changed nature, it sloped gradually down and at its side, a small wooded area could be seen which was bordered by a stream. The water was shining under the sun, and it was so clear that one could see the pebbles lying on the bed of the stream. There was no sound of human life here except the soft murmur of the stream and the occasional buzzing of insects flying through the reeds. He looked along the wa
  9. The lands beyond Tolbana stretched out wide and tranquil, shimmering with green and gold under a mellow afternoon sun. For a few seconds, Jack was completely motionless, sensing only the nature around him. The wind came through the grass as if it were an ancient lullaby, and it also brought the scent of the earth, some wildflowers, and the smoke of the burning woods from the town behind him. With his sword hanging on his back, the scabbard strap was adjusted by Jack, the metal of the blade giving a nice pull to his back which he found quite pleasant. This place, outside, gave him this feeling
  10. The moment Jack reached Zackariah's shop, he was greeted with the pleasant smells of flowers and wood polish. The air was warm from the faint sweet smell of bubbling potions. Every wall was covered with shelves that were full of vials of different colors like green, yellow, and purple. The room was alight with the soft glow of alchemical light that was reflecting the different colors on the shiny counter. Jack looked around and after a few moments his eyes got used to the dim light of the shop and he came from the brightly lit Tolbana street. It was an old memory of the small game shops t
  11. The man introduced himself. "Tybalt....the evil kidney.." Ceres repeated, trying to commit it to her memory. There were few names she remembered. Mari...for Ceres would often do odd jobs for her...Vex, because of his antics. Accy, but that was about it. This man would be hard for her to forget. Her eyes were still on the frog sitting upon a branch, just above his shoulder. But with a flourish Tybalt distracted her. "H-huh?" "Whoa!" Immediately distracted from the entire reason she was out here...a white rabbit. leapt from his arm. "How?" She asked in amazement. Leaning down as she wa
  12. A ginger tap on his shoulder has the man peering over it, still deadlocked in the direction that sudden scream of terror. Scanning her expression, the puffed up cheeks like a chipmunk that had undergone a punk rock phase. A spit of a coin out of her mouth had him addled. The coin in his hand, he'd flick it over and scratch the side of his head with the other. Was his genius beyond even his own comprehending, first the ear and now the coin ended up in her mouth of all places. Perplexed and how that trick worked, he must have subconsciously designed something in his sleep. That was it. My brilli
  13. Jomei the emerald duelist Rosemary, garlic, salt, and seasonings. Plucking the various items off of the shelves, he would drop them into a bag at his side. Jomei would mumble the grocery list to himself, a recipe etched onto his heart that he would always remember. Of course, he had added his own twists over the years, even more when he discovered some of the otherworldly ingredients available in Aincrad. Jomei was in no way an expert chef, but if there was one dish he prided himself on, it was his mother’s pot roast. Potato
  14. Oh man, Oh man Oh man....This was so amusing. The little firebug was filled with threat after threat. Just like she was. So entrenched in each other, could you imagine? I surely couldn't.... having such tethers to someone seemed like a nuisance more than anything. Most the guards were taken care of by this point; the run down mess of a place didn't hold much. So I leaned on a door frame, watching the former first finger work. "You worry far too much!" I sang out to him. The man shot me a glare in response. I straightened, and offered him a low bow. "I assure you... I don't mean to harm that l
  15. Vex was an odd one, just like the others in that little troupe of looney toons that were under Tybalt. All of them were so god damn hard to control, Lancaster couldn't help but wonder why they were even here or what the hell the lord did to control these ass clowns. Even when he was still a finger, they kind of did some approximation of what was asked of them but it was always some backwards ass interpretation of it. Like trying to hit a bullseye with a rocket launcher, you'll get it but there is going to be a shit load of collateral damage. Behind the bar counter Lancaster was already helping
  16. The sun hovered right above Tolbana at noon, it seemed to be tired of shinning already, but still, the light came out through the streets that were lined with market stalls and the people stayed behind with their shopping. Folks are going back and forth between the shops, each of them seeming to be searching for a way to make sense of this bizarre world that they found themselves in; they all had guns on their backs, their armors were shining as if they were real heroes. Jack, however, hasn't been able to convince himself. His curved blade, although it has been well maintained and is still ver
  17. While Reytac began his next search, Cascade found a nearby log to plant herself on for the time being. She watched from afar as he made his next taming attempts, and judging by her face and his; much to their surprise the bird flew right up to Rey. It landed in front of him hopping about. Eventually Reytac brought his arm out, and the avian happily obliged, flying uo and securing itself on his arm. "Well then, that was unexpected." she flashed him a dashing, pride filled smile. She watched as his new companion nestled against him and chirpped. She was happy for him, after all it had alre
  18. "I guess its a little nerdy." Mari said, placing emphasis on the word. "It is all science, chemical reactions and the like." Mari didn't say much else on the matter, as Celeste didn't seem all too interested. That was fine. Not everyone had the same interests as she. Instead Mari intently listened. Gabrandr...a brief memory of a flame Eruda also seemed to have, it was the same colour. Mari assumed it a parlour trick. Did the other woman also have something to do with that? "Flames of the father?" Mari tilted her head. "Didn't really peg you as someone who was a frontliner...or into religi
  19. As the azure flames remained a vibrant rush of heat, the shadows cast leave both women to be cast in odd lighting with such color at their fronts. "You might be right, I don't fucking know." Her arms remain crossed as the fire raged, keeping alive for longer then most normally would. There might have been some sort of accelerant or it might have had something to do to the obtuse nature of Celeste's brand of fire. "Relations? You mean fucking?" Celeste picked apart the statement about as tactfully as hitting a watermelon with a sledgehammer. The woman cannot help but bust out laughing when it d
  20. ✧♪✦⋆♫⋆✦♪✧ She fell silent while he spoke. Eyes hazily locked onto the contrast of the bright, spotless glass sitting atop the dingy, stained wood counter. Teion’s head swam through his words that sank in through her skin like a heavy blanket over her shoulders. The muted colors of fireworks danced across her face while ghosts writhed in the inky abyss below, unseen but unburied. Their shadows reached up and up, searching and grasping. And her limbs felt so heavy. Drifting, alone, her head fell back to watch the light shimmer against a surface that grew farther and farther away.
  21. Mari was still close to Jevi, thighs still touching. As expected, she hadn’t received a response from Lancaster, he was probably resting. “Switch partners….” Mari slurred as she rested a head on Jevi’s shoulder. “I am enjoying yours though….I’m not really one for dancing.” A hand lifting up to fix V's hair. Mari rarely admitted to enjoying someones company, it was probably the alcohol. Mari felt the presence of another join them and her smile faded, barely glancing at the man. She didn’t really feel like being hit on by strangers. “Don’t you just hate unwanted guests…” Mari began in an an
  22. "I gotta better idea." The redhead was suddenly much closer to her than she was too seconds ago. Knees and shoulders bumped awkwardly as she entered Jevi's space, practically leaning into her as she scoured her inventory for something. Sipping from her drink, she watched over Mari's shoulder as a finger scrolled through the massive list of items. The names of various equipment and consumables flew by, too fast for her to make out anything eye catching. A familiar looking crystal materialized into Mari's open palm, she recognized it as, basically, a camera crystal. A selfie? she thought to
  23. The man on the counter took another sit of Kodo's glass. He swallows hard unable to move his eyes off this guy. Tan skin, masculine, short black hair that was combed to the right. It looked like he used hair gel to keep it in place. "I'm sorry I'm" clearing his throat trying to speak. The man would chuckle as he would see Kodo Fluster. "You are kinda cute. I am off in an hour if you want to stick around. Maybe then we could get better acquainted." The man would give him a smile as he would take one more sip of his drink and walk off to the other side of the building, still behind the counter.
  24. Milling about in her own space, being almost worshiped for even the smallest smile or slightest giggle. It would be clear through a slip of a strap or a slight lift of her skirt that she had quite the number on a mental leash. It was no surprise how easy it was when one knew how to abuse how hot she was, and use such attraction as a form of bait. Like a gaggle of drooling monkey's dancing around the worlds largest banana, she is bought drinks and fawned over from afar and every honeyed word leads more to become trapped in that web. Taking her pick of a few of the many that had made offers, Ros
  25. Sitting in one of the benches that seemed a bit dusty, but it wasn't as bad as out there. Taking a deep breath, the plan was ruined. "I miss you papa and ma" saying in a accent. Her mother Nadia raised her and taught her how to speak Russian and home schooled her because they traveled to different bases to many times to count. Her father gave her a little tough love and showed her how to fight from a young again. Yea it wasn't an ideal childhood but it was hers. She had nothing here, if she could just back something that even resembled close to what she had, maybe she would be okay. Messing wi
