  1. The snow began to pick up, solidifying, hardening. Teayre being raising her arms before they fell two moments after they were moved. “Cal…” She murmurs, “I’m sorry…” The hail was dropping faster, sharper.  “Leave me…”  A loud crack resounded around them. “Move on and grow.” The red head shifted turning left and right in the Ultramarine Knight’s grip as best she could. “You’ve conquered the game so much without me. You don’t need me holding you back.” She whispers into Calrex’s ear.

    Slowly Teayre begins flexing her hands, her entire body still shivering and weather obscuring the vision to the handful of trees nearby. “Leave me.” She repeats after several moments of silence. Trying to turn and squirm her way out still. Flicking her finger down behind Calrex’s back she pulls up her menu and taps through it before selecting their inventory and click on a few items before they materialize in front of her. “Save yourself. I… I…” Her words failing as she leans her head down her face going red.

    @Calrex (Sorry!)

  2. The corners of Teayre’s lipped turned up as she looked at Akio her eyes closing slightly. “Easy.” She says, watching the boy’s facial expression change. “I’m…” Shaking her head, then swallowing “You’re not in any danger, at the moment.”

    Turning away and leaning her head against the tree behind her, the red head’s eyes flutter shut. “How did you come to get that then? No small feat getting a permanent one.” Bending one leg she wraps her arms around it hugging it to the chest as the rays of sun splash through the tree’s foliage landing on her face. Letting out a sigh she begins to rap her knuckles on both hands as they stay interlinked. “Honestly…” She murmurs, before opening her eyes and gazing into the sky of floor 1.

    “You can’t get far in this game without taking risks. It’s the only way to progress, no matter who stands in your way.” Spreading her left hand in front of her Teayre stares at the glinting object on her finger. “Or who falls at your side.”

  3.  White turned to blue in front of the red head’s eyes and that was all she could see, a blue light. The girl’s ears twitched slightly and then again and again. Teayre swallowed again and her loose hands slowly clenched tightly into a ball. Inhaling deeply she shudders and remains still for a moment before a quick exhale. Blinking rapidly she leans her face down her eyes remaining open. “Liss…” She mutters quietly, “Oink…” name after name fell from her lips as she muttered them one by one both people she knew in the real world and people she had met in Aincrad. Then finally one name was said as the girl began to fall forwards “Callie-kun why is the snow red around you?” Her hands open, eyes flickering shut, hair freezing to her face. A warmth at her shoulder her breaks her fall, a breath of warm air quickly frozen washed across her face. “The snow is red.” She says quietly before her eyes shut and Teayre slumps. Her breathing consistent the occasional flutter from a deeper inhale, hands limp in the snow, shuddering occasionally.

  4. “You’d be surprised, the prices there are reasonable. I‘ll have to see if someone can get me some more at some point.” She mused as she spoke to Akio, Teayre smiled at him before turning around and waving a hand beckoning him to follow her before she strode back to trees she had been at several moments before. Flicking her menu open she looks at her inventory before sighing and swiping it closed again. Placing a hand on a fallen log she spins and sits down on it before leaning her head back she mutters a couple of names under her breath, too quiet to be heard clearly.  “I guess I could do more…” Her eyes flicker shut for a moment as Teayre’s chest rose and fell quickly for a minute or more.

    Eventually it began to settle into a more normal rhythm, she opens her eyes and looks over to Akio, “I’m Teayre.” She states bluntly, “Why did you chose to steal items? Especially food, that’s not strictly required in Aincrad.” The crimson maiden stops for a moment her eyes looking over Akio, his face, shoulders, hands, feet before continuing, “Besides basic stuff drops readily from the low levels mobs around here, which judging from how you handled that knife you could easily beat.” She bites her lip for a moment, pausing, linking her hands together as she leans forward resting her elbows on her knees. “So, who are you?”

    Crunching could be heard underneath her feet as Teayre shivered for a moment, looking up at the glacial peaks of the mountain near here she sighs. Opening her menu, she taps a few times before bringing up her friends list. She clicks on her husband’s name, ‘Calrex’. As the next window pops up the feisty red head stops for a moment moving her hand slowly before swallowing, she press a button another window coming she types a brief message out before stopping this time sitting down on a log nearby. Closing her eyes and shaking her head she cusses briefly before hitting send. The next thing she did was quickly open her husband’s menu options again and send him an invite.

    “I don’t know why I couldn’t move from that shop…” She presses her hands to her ears, elbows on her knees as she begins to shiver slightly, her chest raising up and down in rapid succession. Luminescent gems shattered on the ground between her feet, Teayre’s hands grasped her hair tightly as she threw her head back an ear-splitting scream echoing out of her mouth. Taking a few deep breaths after this the red head swipes her menu open and after a few taps her usual weapons and armour are replaced by a basic set. The black cloth gently resting on her shoulders covering her the knee length skirt and stockings wrapping around her legs.

    Falling onto her knees she grasps at the snow on the floor, scrambling around for something to hold tightly. “Cal. Cal. Cal. Cal.” Teayre was muttering over and over again. “What have I done…” Slowly she sat back up onto her knees in seiza, frozen beads of ice began to form on her cheeks as branches and twigs snapped around her. Her hands loose by her sides, a sword several metres away she stares directly in front of her.

  6. Watching the boy in front of her, she takes her right hand and places it on her scabbard, the thumb pushing the blade out less than an inch. “Who am I?” Teayre chuckles, “That’s a very good question. Perhaps a better one is who are you?” Her eyes dart to the blade, her nostril’s flare briefly before she flexes her left knee briefly. Holding this position for a moment she raises her left hand moving it to the hilt of her weapon she pauses her hand hovering over the blade.

    Her eyes lock with the green tinted ones of the child in front of her. “Let’s see you’ve got an orange cursor so you’re either a thief or a murderer. Given that you have just come out of Starting Town, you’re a thief.” Her lips going thin she shakes her head holding her stance a bit, the index finger of her left-hand twitching slightly. “So what did you steal?” As she asked him this she looked around, even though they were just outside starting town there were not many other players around even from the shouting a moment ago.

    “For a moment I thought you were someone else, who would have gone to a certain place on this floor that provides the best food in Starting Town.” The corner of her lips flick up for a moment as Teayre breathes in, “Seriously the best, probably in all of Aincrad.” Her left knee bent slightly more, as the red head then straightened up, “I’m not looking for a fight, so tell me who you are thief.” She commanded of him.  “If you do, I’ll share something about myself, after all that’s only fair.” Letting her gauntleted hand drop to her left hand side Teayre removes the right hand from the hilt of her weapon.

    The red head was settled in the trees that were a short walk from Starting Town, occasionally her ears twitched at the odd sound that echoed from the town mostly however Teayre was left be. She kept swiping open her menu, then navigating to her friends list, then closing it again. Letting out a small sigh she dropped her hand to her side, before gazing up into the bottom branches of the tree behind her. Clenching the hand into a tight knuckled fist the girl then closes her eyes, a tear starting to form at the corner of it. “Teayre…” She whispers her voice barely louder than the gentle breeze that lifted several strands of her brilliant red hair.

    Relaxing her hand the girl swipes her hand down opening her menu before tapping away at it, the clothes and weapon around her shimmer with the crystalline light that was so common in Aincrad. Black cotton fitted to her body loosely somewhat reminiscent of a sailor’s outfit, reaching down she places her hand on a plain black hilt. She brought her hand in front of her face and slowly clenched her fist, leather creaking as she did so. Swallowing the young girl takes a deep breath before then exhaling.

    “Right you’ve got this Tea.” She mumbles to herself again pushing herself off the trunk she had been sat on, her ears twitched slightly, Her brow furrowed slightly and then her ears twitched again. Looking to her left Teayre squints before letting out yet another small sigh and shook her head slightly before slowly walking towards the disturbance. Her eyes flicked up at her crystal before she managed to bring them back down to focus on her target. She places one hand on her hip and tuts at the person in a white robe. “Honestly.” She says, “Why bother trying to get into there in the first place?” Her eyes narrowing as she speaks to the small person in front of her, her teeth slightly clenched and then she stopped. “Wait, unless you were trying for -that- place.” Her eyes opened slightly still remaining narrow as she looked directly at the face of the person whom had been kicked out of the Starting Town.

  8. Her pencil danced across the page, the red haired girl barely looking up as the members of the small group began to take their seats. As Teayre puts the pencil down on the table next to her a loud crunch comes from it, causing the small wooden object to burst into the crystals that slowly faded away.  Reaching under the chair she drew a small paint pallet out and began to layer paint onto her sketch, one stroke at a time, starting to quietly sing. “Hoshi Ni, Yuki Ni, Kioku ni.” The girl’s brow furrowed as she continued to work, “Kimi no ashiato sagasu.” Her tongue starting to stick out.  Her ears twitched at the sounds from the conversation around her.

    Once she was done she lay the paintbrush to one side carefully and the paints. Flicking her hand down Teayre opens her menu and types several times before sending a simple message to a few people, her eyes downcast. Reaching her sleeve up to them she wipes before lowering a now damp sleeve. “Right.” Teayre finally says as she dismisses her menu.

    “So Macradon, what’s happened with the Knight’s? More importantly why did you come into my shop and proceed to start yelling at me.” Teayre’s eyes narrowed as she looked directly at the man clad in armour. “I can understand anger, but that yelling…” She closed her eyes, her hand drumming on the arm of her chair. “There was something different to it not just about the people I killed.” Her voice clear and concise as she addressed the knight.

    Once she had stopped talking she looked at Calrex and passed him the item she had been working on. The canvas appeared to be a ray of light coming out of the sun in the top right corner of it in multiple colours, each one going to a person. Some of the people in the painting had been coloured in, some on the other hand were simply outlines. Wiping her face again with her sleeve the red haired girl turns to Chisono and Hestia.

    “The history. Who I am?” Teayre grinned slightly, a smirk as she gave a short laugh. “I’m surprised, if you’re a frontliner and you’ve not heard of me, although I have been…” She closed her eyes again gripping her hand into a fist tightly. “I have been out of action for a while. Regardless… Hestia, I have killed, several times. Would I do so again? That’s a question for another time.” Shaking her head the girl meets Hestia’s eyes. “I’ve murdered frontliners, in the middle of a floor boss. Do I regret it? Who knows?” Teayre swallows, looking around the room.

    “So now that I’ve introduced myself, who are you?” Her eyes bore into the mask of Chisono, fingers drumming on both arms of her chair. “Cal,” Teayre calls to her husband, “I’ve called them here. Including the people I believe should be a part of it.”

  9. The melodical voice reached her ears, the red head had been shaking she felt the energy building up in her, muscles tensing the sword art glow starting to surround her. At least it should have been, Teayre let out a sigh before scrunching up her eyes and swallowing. “In Here.” She called to Calrex, her voice croaked it, the words sounded broken and hollow. “Cal, I’ve got company.” She continues before turning her gaze to Chisono. “You entered my shop. You entered my HOME!” She yells her words getting louder as she draws her blade. “You do not know who you have crossed, I may be weak. I may be broken. Just remember I am still the second most feared player-killer in Aincrad.” Her words had changed. Just what had Teayre been thinking about these last few years in isolation with the occasional Calrex popping in and out of her shop.

    “A killer should not let their emotions get the better of them, how little you know.” Teayre laughed as she mocked the girl in front of her. Taking a step closer, this time the knee was more stable ,more firm. “You wan-“ The Crimson Maiden’s sentence was cut short, as another person entered her shop. “Macradon.” The girl growls, her hand not moving from her blade she watches as he yells, a blank expression on her face. The words he had uttered the venom that filled them, the anger that was imbued into the six words that were directed at her. She didn’t flinch, instead the girl rolled her eyes as the man with cerburus left. Teayre smiled as she watched the man’s eyes, before turning her gaze back to the masked figure next to her.

    “Know who that was?” She put away her blade, walking closer to Chisono, whispering in her ear. “Macradon, of the Knights of the Blood Oath. A frontliner and a strong one, now who could have I killed to instill such anger in a person.” Placing her left hand on her conversation partner’s right shoulder Teayre gently moves the person out of the way so she was facing Calrex.

    “Cal.” The red head began, before taking a step forward, confidently now. “Cal.” She repeated before continuing. “I’m sorry for staying here for so long. I know I keep going away and hiding. Not any more, I’m going to become stronger that the strongest person in Aincrad.” Her silk pajama’s swaying around her, she raised her left hand and closed all fingers except her ring finger. “I have someone to protect, someone who has stood by my all through Aincrad since that first day.” Her right hand coming up Teayre caressed his cheek before tiptoeing and kissing him chastely on the lips. “If you don’t mind I’m going to talk to Macradon.”

    The red head stepped around her partner, and went to the door of her shop opening it slightly. Seeing the trio of figures. “Macradon, come in and talk. Your…” Teayre paused looking at Belphegor, “familiar can come in to.” Glancing at the other figure she sighed, “May as well come in to, everyone wants to come into MY shop today… It’s like I’m open or something.” Turning around she leaves the door open waving the people in before walking and sitting down in the arm chair, underneath a picture of the mountains on floor 2 with an eagle swooping down to a blue and red blur. "All of you sit down, but Cal." She called from her place in the arm chair taking her sketchpad from next to her and begins mark the paper.

  10. Her hand fell to the floor in a clunk, she lay there in red silk pajamas breathing heavily. The creak of the door reached her ears as it opened “Callie-kun…” She began attempted to raise her head managing to move it an inch before the weight of it over took her and it fell onto her outstretched arm. “Cal… I’m sorry.” Teayre sobbed, “I’m sorry.” She started to shake her left hand was wobbling as she placed it on the ground supporting her. Then she heard a voice.

    The Crimson Maiden froze the shaking stopped. “You’re not Calrex.” She mumbled to herself, “I don’t recognize your voice.” Slowly she staggers to her feet the silk swaying with her. Teayre met the masked figure’s eyes, drinking in her features, able to see the twisted smile on the face in front of her. Swiping down her menu she begins to press buttons on it as she dismisses the menu a weapon appears at her hip. “What have you done with Cal?” Teayre demanded taking one step forward her left hand going to the hilt of her weapon. Eyes narrowing, her lips thin. “Or are you here to buy something, in which case. We’re closed.” Her right hand pushed her blade up slightly as she took another step towards Chisono, as her foot landed her leg wobbled slightly however Teayre managed to remain upright.

    @Calrex @Chisono

  11. Teayre lay on the couch in the entry hall to the Amethyst Boutique, her ears twitching at the occasional sound. Rolling her eyes before flicking them towards the main door she spots a dash of blue leaving. “He’s gone again…” She murmurs before returning her unblinking gaze to the ceiling of her shop. Spreading fingers through the pliable fabric underneath she grips it tightly before letting go. Then again and again, repeatedly Teayre performs this action before finally she stops. A sigh escapes her lips, then an audible growl echoing out of her stomach. Wincing she opens her menu for the first time in... Teayre pauses just before she flicks the menu down. “How long has it been?”

    Closing her eyes she thinks back over everything that had happened. Three names stuck out most, “Manta. Ebony and you.” Three people she had killed, not including all the others, the ones who wanted her to die, but she slaughtered instead. “I was Teayre Muramasa the Crimson Maiden,” Her voice quiet almost silent as she spoke to herself, “Who am I now?” Eyelids opening she flicks down her menu. The screen pinging open as she winces, letting out a groan the girl sits up slowly. Her left hand going onto her knee, flexing at the elbow, the right in front of her the menu open as she… “What am I doing?” a cackle follows, the few birds that were outside her shop fled. The mobs that guarded her store groaned.

    Her hand dropped to her side as she closed her eyes again, her breathing slowing down as she placed both hands on her stomach. “The last thing I remember… Baldur… Crying…” The crimson haired maiden let out a screech worthy of a banshee. “LISS!” She rolls off the couch onto the floor twisting, turning and screaming out. Her hand stretching out in a claw, “Liss I’m coming…” She mumbles, “I’m… Coming…” She calls out her voice almost a whisper now.

  12. The moment her screen pinged, Teayre’s mouth fell open. It was Calrex. Opening the message her eyes flick through it quickly, a loud thumping could be heard. “An advanced dungeon…” Swiping down to open her character screen she sighed, “I’m out of practise.” Hitting reply Teayre sent a message back to Calrex.

    Spoiler

    I’ll be there, Do we… Do we have a katana in our inventory?
    I’ve been practising again…

    Hitting send the red head makes her way quickly to the twenty-first floor. Her eyes took in Calrex immediately and a green haired man, clad in red armour. Swallowing as she saw the rest of the people. Zandra and Ariel. Her hand instinctively went to her weapon, her nostrils flared for a moment as she lurked in the darkness. Shaking, she let her hand fall away. “This isn’t the time Teayre.” As she approached the group slowly.

    Slipping behind Calrex she gently touches a hand to his back, before whispering her greeting. Taking two steps back she opened her inventory again. “Cal… I’ve not at what we’ve got in so long… Could you…” Her speech was broken, quiet but loud enough to be heard by her husband.

  13. The quiet stutter from Itzal reached the red head’s ears before she had moved, her blade held out to one side as the knights formed around her. A screech of metal against metal, lightning streaking around. Narrowing her eyes Teayre looks through the brilliant light to see a small darkness. “Itzal.” She mused quietly, looking to see the that a paralysis symbol was evident next to the health bars of the knights she places a hand on her compatriots shoulder. “You can be strong and gentle, that is who you are Itzal.”

    Her body arched as she turned spinning around, her blade whirling. “I am who I am. You are who you are.” Her charge skill took her forwards into the mobs, the bright green of her sword art raging out. Hitting the Knight on the left cutting deep into it, another loud screech sounding out. She looked at Velina the dragon and offered her arm to the creature as she came to a halt, walking away from the mobs. “I am the Crimson Maiden, I here Aereth has been player killing, but he’s not killed anyone on the front lines. Manta Gaul and Ebony Rose. They are the two biggest kills I’ve done. In the middle of the boss fight I took them down.” Her eyes glinted for a second, “Itzal, you need to understand what you risk when partying with me.”

  14. “Reasons...” Teayre mused to Itzal, her eyes narrowing, seeming to harden at the words. A sigh escaped the red heads lips. “Be careful for level grinding for reasons Itzal. It doesn’t always work…” Her eyes closed fully now, flicking underneath the lids. The clenching of her hand changing to drumming fingers on the red heads knee. Silence. It lasted for several long, drawn out seconds before Teayre spoke again. Her eyes opening, wet at the edges, “Do not lose yourself in the process Itzal.” Taking a breath the Crimson Maiden breathing became more rapid, pushing herself up and towards Itzal she reaches out to grab him with one hand. “DO NOT FORGET WHO YOU ARE!” She screams at him before turning, the rumbling of an earthquake sounded. She sprints away from the blacked haired boy, her weapon falling into her hand as she ran. Flames spurting around her she skidded to a halt. “Please Itzal…” She mutters quietly to herself as the pixels around her began to form into creatures. “Don’t become like him.”

    @Itzal - Woohoo! Reasonable timed reply!

    A potential caveat of it could be a cooldown of 3 - 4 rounds. and instead of 2 posts perhaps just the one?

  16. Letting out a soft sigh, the Teayre’s lips curled. “You really think you can beat me? Three against one?” A short curt laughed escaped her lips, as she glared into their eyes. The fire from her own whipping around. “You’re just going to die.” She snarled her legs tensing as she moved into a fighting position with her blade.

    The three men chortled. The one with the katana was doubled over with tears streaming down his eyes. “You?” He panted out, “Kill us? With what?”

    Her vision turned a deep red, the crimson maiden shot forwards. Her blade twisting as she did so. Eleven Slashes. Eleven cuts. The health bar of the person in front of her dropped dramatically. As she stood still, she watched the health of the person in front of her vanish and disappear. “So, what do you two think?” She smirked turning to the two people either side of her. “Do you think you have a chance, or would you like to live?”

  17. A thud sounded ahead of Teayre her blade came out of the sheathe in a single smooth motion, hair hair flowing backwards behind her as she shot forwards towards the sound. A dragon came towards the red head and she ducked her head out of the way, talons digging into her shoulder. The voice finally reached the ears of the girl. Goosebumps shuddered up her arms as he blade was half drawn. Her eyes flicked over to Itzal, narrowing at his acrobatics her lips turning up at the corners as she chuckled to herself.

    “I’ve been…” She closed her eyes thinking about her recent predicaments. “Okay.” She finished with a heavy sigh. Her hand reaching up to scratch Velnia’s head. “It’s been a while, since I’ve been out…” She muses quietly, again she had secluded herself in her shop. She hadn’t once opened her eyes as she spoke to the wannabe scout. Slowly she moved herself into a sitting position resting her back against the cliff Itzal had leaped off. “How have you been?” She asked him, her hand in her lap. Clenching and unclenching her fist.

    @Itzal Sorry!

  18. The retching didn’t stop as the girl continued to sob, the gently warmth of a hand pressed on her shoulder. Her vision pitch black as mud stuck underneath her finger nails, the gentle reassurances from her mentor slowly helped. The sobbing slowly dying down, slowly the tense muscles on Teayre’s arms relaxed as the girl pushed herself into a sitting position. The dampness on her face was still evident to her outburst. Her chest moved erratically every so often as the sheen on her face began to fall, dripping onto the ground around her. “My... Story…” She muttered quietly, a sharpness to her voice, her jaw setting itself.

    The thinness of her eyes met Baldur’s for a split second, the lifelessness in them, cold as stone. As she began to speak, her voice caught in her throat.  “I…” She pushed herself to her feet staggering backwards. “What do you know about me?”

    She spoke her hand going to her hip, clenching around thin air. “What do you know of my past?” her eyes narrowed as she looked at Baldur’s eyes. There was a cold steel in the contact she had with them, her head cocking to one side. “What has my husband told you Baldur?” Her words were short and sharp. A small spark coming into her eyes for a moment, dimming again as she turned away a sigh escaping from her lips. “The blood of Manta Gaul and Ebony Rose.” The red head looked down at her hands, clenching and unclenching them. “The blood of those who tried to kill me.”

    A soft slapping sound came as her hands hit her thighs. “The blood of Akarim Thar. My father.” She turned to face Baldur now her entire body shaking, “Several people have easily fallen by my blade. More than most know. Only one however saw my unique skill before he died. Only three people alive other than myself that I know of, know about my Battojutsu.”

    Counting the people of on her fingers she spoke, “Calnus, Oikawa and You. The muramasa that you now wield came from the mob I defeated in a single blow, striking before they had a chance to. I have a bloodlust that can’t be sated. My entire body shakes as I wish to kill, Baldur, why?”

    A tear began to roll down her cheek, “Liss Thar. My sister, died because I was too weak to protect her. She died because of him.” Her voice was torn, bitter as the words trailed off into silence.
