  2.                                There was much to do, but Krysta had yet to figure that out. Other than the coming raid, she had little expectations for the day. When another player appeared, offering to walk with the players, Krysta nodded her head with a warm smile. "Certainly, it is better to travel with others, even more so with friends or allies."

Krysta couldn't help but notice how quickly Vigilon's expression changed. It was likely that he did so due to not wanting to seem unnerved, especially when his concern was probably involving Krysta. He seemed to care for her more than she anticipated. That was actually a good thing, for one wouldn't dare wish to lose someone they'e grown to cherish so deeply. Before Krysta could say anything more, an armored man with a tone lacking enthusiasm of any sort. She could understand this, for despite how Krysta was managing to carry herself so far on the exterior, her internal states, both emotional and mental, were under the midst of disruption on the brink of becoming a maelstrom, for the reality of potential mortality, for herself and/or her allies, even her beloved, was settling into her mind, setting everything else into a state of slow-burn anxiety.

Vigilon suggested that the four travel to the raid as a party. It was a fair idea, but it required the agreement of the other two players. The four would also need to decide on a party leader. "If we are all in agreement, we should figure out who the party's leader should be." She noted. She refrained from nominating Vigilon or herself for the time being, as she did not want to alienate these two from Krysta or Vigilon. She would let them choose any of the four party members.

  3.                          The boss seemed to behave as though the players were nothing. At the rate things were going so far, it may be possible to prove the dark void dragon to be wrong.
Of course, there was only one way to be certain.

Everyone was fine, nothing had gone wrong yet. So then, what could Krysta do? There was no healing to be done, and her barrier was on cooldown. There were no ailments to be purified, either. Krysta looked to her weapon, which still had yet to be drawn in this battle. Nari then called out orders for the party. She told Krysta to keep her actions limited to support, but to avoid healing unless someone was in danger. She added that the battle may be long, and thus energy consumption will need to be dealt with, that Krysta should try to focus on energy support.

Krysta blinked, her expression blank as she stared mildly at the tank. "...I do not have energy transfer skills." She responded plainly. She was not a full supporter like Nari might be used to. Krysta lacked the skill points required for energize and hyperactive...in fact, she was struggling to keep the best of both builds, while also trying to net herself a skill in hopes of keeping herself alive, along with everyone else. There was nothing she could do here.

Therefore, she would need to adjust her position as she tried to get a better look at this monster. Because she kept her gaze to the beast, however, she did not watch her footing, and tripped over a stray stone or crystal. She got back up, frustrated at the situation. She wasn't supposed to be helpless in times like these, she was supposed to help everyone, she was supposed to do her duty. She had chosen this path long ago, after all.

    [Krysta takes no action]

  4.                                There was no turning back, was there? She was here now, and now she must fight for not only her life, but the lives of the others around her. The welfare of many depended on the result of this battle, so she intended to win it. To do so, she will need to play her part and make sure everyone makes it out alive. The duty of Support had the chance to become a heavy, burdensome yoke, but that would depend on the actions the players took.

As the malicious Wyrm loomed overhead, looking upon the players as though they were mere pests, a fierce, imminent battle about to begin, the Princess had to prepare her allies for the inevitable clash. Her weapon had yet to be drawn, for she would not need it unless absolutely necessary. She held herself steadfast, and focused her energy towards a skill of hers. Her hands were enveloped in a soft light, and she took a deep breath.

"May divine light guide and protect us all!" Krysta called out as the skill activated. All six players in the party were then enveloped by a soft blue luminosity, as the Barrier effect began. "I shall continue to assist when you need me. It's all you now, go forth, and together we shall win this battle!" She added, hoping to encourage the players, including the party's leader.

She could only hope that she and her fellow players were ready.

  5.                                From one dangerous scenario to another. The fact that the day of the raid was upon the players was enough, there was no necessity for a guild to conspire against their fellow players...but at least the matter was settled before it could become disastrous.

Now that the conspirators had been dealt with, it was time to return to the purpose of this trip, to assist in the raid, so that the battle would end in victory. She followed after Vigilon who at this point was hastily making his way over to the others. Krysta could only hope that neither of the two were too late, but even if that were the case, Krysta's heart was at peace for the actions she had taken earlier. Now, the raid itself was on the horizon. Surely, this would be more than an eventful day...

Vigilon had moved faster that Krysta had expected, to the point where he unintentionally left Krysta's sight. She could still hear his footsteps echoing, so she at least was still able to follow. When she reached the area, Vigilon was catching his breath, and the other players were finishing up preparations and were about to enter the crystal lit tunnel. There was a table set up, with some portions of feasts and consumables still remaining. Seeing that her previous consumable buffs have worn off, she would need to apply some more.

With the consumables dealt with, Krysta came to the realization that, aside from those who she had been around earlier on this day, she did not know anyone here, aside from a few acquaintances such as Jomei. Unfamiliar players in an unfamiliar battle. She felt like a stranger.

But she had a duty to do today, and she would do her best to see it through if at all possible...

  6.                                Krysta had a duty, and she intended to see it through.

The day of the raid had come, and Krysta was already on her way. Vigilon had notified her some time ago that he would cover for consumables, at least for what he could afford. Regardless, Krysta wanted to gather her own preparations, especially for the roles she would primarily be utilizing in the coming battle.

Despite her intentions, this was actually her fist time within this floor. She had yet to memorize the settlement's layout, so it took her some time to reach the edge of the safe zone...where Vigilon was, probably hesitant. Krysta remembered the day when she first made the decision to leave the safe zone, so she could understand if he was hesitant for this decision. Nevertheless, Krysta had a duty...a duty to the people. There were many back home in the real world who were probably hoping for her safe return, and there were also many innocent people trapped within this virtual world along with Krysta. She just had to do something about it all at some point, and with the frontlines needing what help they could get, how could she remain by the sidelines this time?

She took a deep breath, then she placed her hand on Vigilon's shoulder. "I understand if the situation seems grim now...but we must press on. I am certain we can survive the battle, even if it forces us to retreat." She spoke, hoping to reassure him.

  7.                  Raid preparation was always a frenzy. This time, not only was she aware of a coming raid, she knew that she would be directly involved. If she wanted to keep everyone alive, she would need to be prepared for what was to come. Preparing for emergency recovery would be a wise decision in such a hostile world as Aincrad.

So, despite Vigilon's claim that he would be handling the consumables, Krysta chose to stock up on a certain consumable anyway.

Entering the shop of Cintamani, she would seek out Mass Healing Crystals, before bringing ten of them to the counter, along with the required col payment.

    Purchasing:

    Imugi's Inspiration x10(30,000 col)

-1 Demonic Shard has been used for resulting item to be Demonic Quality

  9.                      Freyd arrived at the shop, appearing to be splattered by the remnants of battle(which, oddly, hardly ever show up due to how entities within the game shatter, and thus it was likely he had drudged through the hive itself during his battle). He complimented Krysta's taste in interior decor, then placed two items upon the counter for fusion, as well as the necessary materials to make the fusion into the desired product. "Fine by me, I shall get to it at once." She replied.

    Fusions:

    Spoiler

[T3]Ebonweave Breastplate+4(Light Armor, EVA II, VAMP-D)[177803a] was combined with [T3]Ebonweave Breastplate(Light Armor, Light Momentum, MIT, VAMP-D)[177818a] to make [T3]Ebonweave Breastplate(Light Armor, EVA II, VAMP-D II)

-Gleaming Scale Used, Unique Enhancements preserved.

-Demonic Shard Used, Item Quality is Demonic.

Finished Item: [T3]Ebonweave Breastplate+4(Light Armor, EVA II, VAMP-D II)

  10.                      Krysta had her right where she should have been. She did not care for the fact that the invitation to her services was rescinded, as Krysta would not prefer to spend her time and money haggling with this individual in a war of words, that couldn't possibly be a pleasant experience in business anyway. She handed over the weapon, and hoped that whoever would purchase this next wouldn't be financially left up a creek. Perhaps there was someone out there who could remind her what ethical business was...

Regardless, the trade was made, an over and done deal. Vigilon then asked Krysta about consumables. "You have a good point, we will need to consider this thought." She agreed. The player who faced the Labyrinth and the Host of the meeting offered points that might as well be closing points.

"In that case, if all of the related quests are not completed yet, they will need to be taken and finished before we can face the boss..." She thought. It would seem that Krysta and Vigilon would surely need to keep in contact to see which of the five quests have been completed...

-Given [T4]Zero Degree Icicle(Straight Sword, Freeze, ACC) to @iris

  11.   Oh. Oh.

Oh, this woman was a shrewd trader. Did she seriously believe she could pull off the "buy cheap, sell high" tactic? Well, she was negotiating with the wrong woman.

Krysta tried to suppress it at first, but in the end she found herself laughing at this absurdity. Krysta was kind, but not naive. "Ah ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha ha!!!"

The woman gave her reasoning for the price she decided on, but it just did not do her any luck. As charismatic and charming as this woman may be/believe herself to be, it was not enough to change Krysta's view on the scenario. "Oh, I do apologize, I have had yet to have such a reaction in the field of business..." Krysta began. "However, you shan't be having any of that with me, certainly not. You'd think that you could simply buy at one price, then sell for another, earning you an excess profit in the difference of eleven thousand? I don't think so, my minimum charge for an item like this stands at twenty-six thousand." She spoke, making a counter offer. "Indeed, the weapon is not of perfect quality, and only of one unique, though I have noticed that when a unique enhancement is found, especially if there are multiple, a col value that simple goons could cough up in a single wave shan't possibly do." She added, her posture firm.

  12.                   Krysta was not expecting the sword she had offered to be asked about in the way it was. A woman had approached Krysta, asking her if it was for sale.

Krysta blinked, she wasn't anticipating someone would ask to buy it. Of course, she was willing to part with the weapon in this manner anyway, since she'd intended to pass it on due to having a weapon she preferred to use instead. "I suppose I could part with the blade in this manner, since no one attending the raid has offered to receive it." She decided. Now all that would be left, since this was now a business deal, was to see how fairly this person traded. "I have already mentioned the weapon's statistics, though I left out the fact that this weapon can be received as a quest reward, albeit in a lesser tier, tier two to be exact." She explained. "A form of this weapon in a higher tier would be more valuable, due to this weapon's current tier being the current maximum, as it could be used for a longer time or fused into a more effective weapon. Now then, what price are you willing to pay for such an item?" She asked.

  14. [Day 23] [7/31/2023]

In all honesty, Krysta never expected she'd need to craft a whip before. Regardless, an order was an order, even if it seemed rather unorthodox to Krysta. "Certainly. I shall notify you when your equipment is ready." She replied with a smile.

It took more time than expected, but due to the fact that this was Krysta's first time making a whip, it should have been expected that Krysta's attempts would come out as lesser quality components that were better off for fusion. Surely there was a way to create items and equipment more efficiently? Regardless, the components were crafted, and could be fused into perfect items. Once the process was complete, she would send the customer a message that the items were ready for purchase.

  15.                      -Krysta would receive the box containing the item she needed, and then open it up to reveal...a Tiara. Perhaps, given the track record of Krysta herself, as well as how others saw her, not to mention the truth of her identity and how even the Cardinal knew, she should have expected this to be the resulting item.
It was a lovely tiara, though.

Krysta placed a sack full of the necessary col for the purchase, then equipped the tiara. It was a perfect fit, and it seemed to suit Krysta surprisingly well. Perhaps the fantasy aspects of the game might be able to hide the truth of her identity, for her equipment sure wasn't going to do so anytime soon. Nevertheless, she now needed to seek out other shops, to finish preparations for the coming battle. She had a duty to return to, so she would fight. She would fight for the players of Aincrad, and through this, she would also fight for her own people, for she had a duty to them and they were surely hoping for her return one day...

    -paid 1400 col to NIGHT

    +Aurora Lux(2 EVA, 2 REC)

  16.                       Krysta had been needing to have a fitting item for herself, but for the time being, with the coming battle being an imminent, looming threat, she would need an item that would benefit her for the raid, as well as other battles in the near future. She needed to be ready for what Aincrad had in store for her. There was much to do and time was of the essence, so she was now here in the first floor, searching for an artisan who could assist her in this endeavor.

She would find herself entering the Evening Star once again, but rather than making a purchase from stock, she would have a custom order in mind... She would look for the shopkeeper, Night, and bring to her an order form that she would proceed to explain, along with a material that she would need to complete the process. "I am in need of some special equipment, its quality out of the ordinary. This order form should have the enhancements I will need, I should be fine with whatever may hold such stats. The shard is for the necessary fusion process." She explained. "Under normal circumstances, I would pay in advance, though I am uncertain what the price would be for a custom order to this degree." She added.

-Given 1 Demonic Shard to @NIGHT for item fusion

[Side note: Krysta did not specify name or description, the filling in the name/description is simply the end result that she'll end up getting, whether it is purposefully made or just a random result from the system is up to you]

    Custom Order:

    Spoiler
    • Item Name: Aurora Lux
    • Item Type: Jewelry
    • Item Tier: 4
    • Item Quality: Demonic(Fusion Required, Demonic Shard provided)
    • Enhancements: Evasion(2), Recovery(2)
    • Description: A sparkling Tiara crafted from fine silver. Its design, despite the tiara being made from silver, seems to allude to a rising star in the horizon, the arrival of dawn. Within the center of the tiara, there are two gemstones. The larger of the two, fitted near the top, is a pink diamond, its shape being the drop, while the smaller of the two, fitted below the above diamond, and above the bottom of the piece itself, is an aquamarine in a triangular shape. Along the left and right sides of the tiara, the main gemstones alternate between smaller, oval cut rubies and amethysts as the piece goes along, though even smaller white topazes follow the pattern around the main, differently colored gemstones. The result is an eye-catching piece, both grandiose and simplistic, fit for a princess.

  17.                                                 It would seem that there was some mild madness to the man's methods, as apparently usual. Krysta had only worked alongside Freyd once, and she still had trouble understanding him. He trusted Hirru to quite the degree, and as the conversation went on, he decided his sketch was obsolete, an excess of thought driven by "occupational hazard." Krysta had never heard such a term in her days. Vigilon also seemed to have a lack of understanding towards the enigmatic player.

As Krysta would have positive feedback for Jomei, Vigilon would be in agreement with another player, in regards to the potential in tactics found in MMOs to be present within the bosses of this game. The fact that this game was an MMO was the one that assured the theory was sound. It made plenty of sense, too.
Jomei smiled back at Krysta's words, and thanked her, before having more thoughts about the subject before moving on to the present.
There were no direct responses to Krysta's words, though the chatter that came, including the repetition of points that she had made suggested that they might not have fallen on deaf ears...hopefully.
A third party would be added onto the sign up sheet, and the meeting continued. More chatter, most of the points had already been established before.

There wasn't enough for Krysta to speak about for the current moment, but hopefully a few other thought-provoking theories could be spoken soon.

  19.                       The trip here was done solely because Vigilon had notified Krysta of this meeting. Aside from the first floor's sights, Krysta had yet to see a flyer anywhere. She may have arrived a few minutes later than Vigilon, but she was still willing to attend and assist wherever necessary.

What Krysta was not expecting, was for the meeting location to be as extravagant as it was. As she entered the structure and looked around herself as she took her time walking down the glass steps, whoever had ownership of this place may have been fond of great wealth, even if it was only in an aesthetic sense. She soon spotted Vigilon within the gathering of players, and once she reached the marble flooring, she made her way over to sit next to him. It was time to see what this game had in store for those who sought to face Aincrad's current toughest forces.

As Krysta should have expected, there would be something she had little knowledge on. She was more familiar with western concepts than eastern ones, after all. While she vaguely knew of an elemental system involving five elements such as the ones mentioned, Krysta found herself struggling to understand. Perhaps some of the more random facts could have been helpful here if she were able to have learned them...but alas, she lacked the time to do so, being prepared for a different purpose, after all. She did not seek the pedestal she used to be on for the sake of being special, she stayed upon where she was placed out of a personal sense of duty...
So why, why would fate deal her a hand that was poorly dealt in a crucial tactical moment such as this? There had to be something she could come up with... She stared at the elemental circle for some time, wondering if there was anything hidden within plain sight that practical or common knowledge might uncover.

However, this thought process was disrupted when Vigilon spoke. If there was anything the pair knew about raid bosses, it was that they usually had immunity to common ailments and stun effects. Bleed would very likely be useless. She understood where he was coming from, however, and that he must have sought to provide hope to those without unique powers within their weaponry. Krysta would wait for the others to speak, to see if or how they would respond.

So far, they were all focused on chipping in, rather than breaking down ideas, which was a good thing so far, though there was one suggestion that did not seem very helpful, a thought that supplying each party with an element might work. Time was of the essence, and there were not nearly enough players gathered here for five parties with enhancements tailored to one of five elements. One player began scribbling on a paper, and Krysta did what she could to pay attention to this. From what she saw, she was able to etch the first note into her mind. The possibility of a self-resurrecting boss...what a terrifying thought that was, hopefully it was simply a reference to its phases.

Freyd would write down notes that were from a player named Hirru, but when Krysta took a look at said notes, she only found confusion, if not more riddles to solve. She blinked a few times as she stared at the notes. Some of them made sense, and yet... Unable to fully understand one particular thing, she had to ask.... "I beg your pardon, Freyd, but is Hirru alright? Some of these notes, am I reading them incorrectly, or is this player suggesting we offer healing to the boss? Isn't that the opposite of what we are tying to do?" She questioned, worried about this player's sanity.

The host seemed to have some notes about what the others had spoken, and even plucked out the part of Vigilon's attempt to offer that was the most viable. This was far better than the alternative that was shutting someone down entirely, so that was a good sign. Freyd would go on a bit of an explanation of multiple possibilities involving this concept that was foreign to her, and he'd even leave behind a sketch...
Unfortunately, Krysta had as much luck understanding that as she did with the Hirru notes. There was a lack of supporting the enemy, though it looked like an attempt to surround a concept with questions. Krysta had read a variety of different fonts and handmade fonts for the English language, the second one she'd known. This, however, she had great difficulty making attempts to read. Cardinal's translative features offered nothing to help Krysta understand the words within the sketch either. She simply stared blankly at it, confused over what she was looking at.
"Himmelens nåde, hva er dette?(Heaven's grace, what is this?)" She thought aloud in her native tongue. While her words were likely to be translated for the others in the room by the Cardinal, it mattered not to Krysta. After further staring at the sketch to no avail, Krysta looked over to Freyd. "Do you mind elaborating on this sketch here? I can hardly understand half the words you've written on it." She asked.

        @Freyd

After one player gave his thoughts on the matter, mainly regarding other situations that had occurred in boss raids within other MMOs, quite the helpful topic that would be...two other players seemed to make their presences known. One was friends with a white haired player she addressed as Katoka, to which the other would recognize her as Elora. Elora had only arrived recently so she was new to the situation. Hopefully others would fill her in on what she needed to know. As for Katoka, she seemed a bit flustered yet enthusiastic, and her cheeks flushed after she announced that she wanted to be on Freyd's team...hmm... "Katoka, are you all right?" Krysta asked her. "The timing of your current expression suggests something to me, though I may be wrong." She remarked, remembering the time when her own cheeks flushed over the uncertainty when she was making preparations to confess her newfound feelings toward Vigilon quite a long while ago. "It's alright if you wish to ally yourself with someone you are familiar or comfortable with, in fact, having ties with your party members might result in better teamwork." She added. "I know one thing for certain, and that is that Vigilon and I work better together because we are familiar with each other as of recent days." She then turned to look at Vigilon. "And I cannot help but think that the affinity we have with each other might grow even further." She noted with a warm smile. She then cleared her throat as she turned to address Katoka once more. "This is not to say that I believe there's more than familiarity or camaraderie between you and Freyd, I simply do not believe there is much reason to feel flustered for wanting to be by the side of someone you know." She claimed, putting off the crackpot theory and suggesting something more believable and simplistic instead. Just something to reassure her, regardless of what kind of positive ties Katoka has with the man.

    @Katoka

Jomei would suggest two things. One, that the elemental system might be simpler than the players were thinking. Two, that there might be something similar to the chaos that occurred when the twenty fifth and twenty sixth floors were being cleared. Both of these points made plenty of sense, given what she knew, though there was more proof of the secondary point. "Your point is a sound one." Krysta remarked. "There have been numerous times where groups of people ended up overthinking a future scenario, and when the dreaded battle came to pass, they would realize that they overestimated that one particular aspect of their opponent, despite that it still had numerous tricks up its sleeve that they were unaware of." She added, mainly referring to TTRPGs. "There is much that we do not know, and therefore we will more often than not, run the risk of either underestimating or overestimating our enemy. Given that our lives will be on the line when we step onto the battlefield, I'd prefer the latter surprise if anything." She admitted with a slight chuckle at the end. "As for the events that occurred during and after the previous two raids you spoke of, I would not be surprised if the Cardinal had decided to keep this little trick, perhaps as a way to have more than simply the front lines involved, as I recall there being players of all stripes over in the Ladonian Rebellion." She noted. "Might I add, you were a considerably dependable ally as well." She noted with a light smile in hopes of encouraging Jomei.

              @Jomei

Krysta continued to listen to the conversation that played out, and heard the thoughts of a woman holding a fan. If there was a time to add further thoughts, the time was now. "If I may," Krysta began as she got up, hoping the gathered players could hear what she had to say. "For those of you who do not know me, I am Krysta. My build specializes in two roles in battle, but in raids, I often fill the position of healer, rather than the damage dealer I would be without it. Recently I have grown accustomed to utilizing the Holy weapon I have in my possession, though I doubt I will be making use of it in a supportive role unless it were to become absolutely necessary." She explained, revealing her build to be one of damage and support, though she was volunteering for the more supportive position due to an apparent lack of supporters.
Her eyes looked around at the gathering, she hoped that what she could bring to the table was good enough for them. She also noticed something was missing, a lack of weight on her shoulder. She then looked up to see her familiar, a small feathered dragon with beautiful ruby red plumage, up on the chandelier, staring warily at Freyd's little troublemaker, growling as she did so. The familiar's hope to intimidate was not out of a wish for dominion, however, but out of wariness, for the little one was merely shy. Krysta couldn't help but give a soft, suppressed giggle over the situation, despite the interruption that this basically was.
"Come back down, Yolviinsil, you're fine." She reassured the small dragon. Yolviinsil would then look to Krysta for a few seconds before leaping and making a short glide over to her left forearm, which was reaching out for her to land. She brought her arm over to her torso, and started petting the familiar's head. "My familiar, Yolviinsil, has proven capable of assisting me in healing others, so I will be bringing her with me to the raid as to make my efforts to mend allies' wounds more effective." She noted, in which the small ruby red feathered dragon would return to Krysta's left shoulder, despite still looking towards Freyd's troublemaker warily. Now she needed to continue with what she was saying before, possibly adding onto the others' points as well.

"Now then, I currently believe it is the boss that might carry the pattern, though it may have allies that are more effected by this cycle or assist it in terms of the elemental cycle. The pattern itself, while we are free to speculate, is very likely to be something that we may have to figure out within the battlefield." She noted. "If one was to find an opponent with armor they had never seen the likes of before, and seemed to guard the entirety of the foe's form, it might take trial and error to discover the armor's chinks. This will make the necessity of armored defenses and supportive assistance on our end a vital, crucial part of how the battle begins, for we only carry with us a portion of the knowledge, granting our enemy an early advantage that we must defend against until we can find a flaw in the foe's defenses." She explained. Considering the possibility of practical application of tactics not only on her end, but of this unknown adversary, she continued. "There is, however, still the possibility of the boss using the cycle offensively as well as defensively. If it were to have access to all five elements, probably not all at the same time, it might become difficult to be ready for additional effects that might ail us, though I suppose I could offer purify, in such a case..." She took a second or two to breathe, though not through her mouth. "In conclusion, The boss is likely to make use of this elemental system both defensively and offensively. Whether it utilizes one cycle for both offense and defense, or one cycle for each aspect is currently unknown, but I would suggest better safe than sorry, that it may be best to consider the possibilities, not only of how we could use the system against it, but that it might use the system against us." She stated. "Those are my thoughts for the time being."
She then wrote her name and Vigilon's name onto the party sign up sheet, on assumption that Vigilon would be willing to join whichever party Krysta was in. At least she was right. "I happen to have a straight sword with the Freeze enhancement, if anyone here is lacking a unique weapon." She noted, accessing her inventory and pulling out a chilling longsword that appeared to be made entirely of packed ice that would be considerably difficult to break. "It is of rare quality, however, so if it is better to fuse it as to make the weapon more viable, I encourage this weapon's future owner to do so if they can." She added.

-Offering to give [T4]Zero Degree Icicle(Straight Sword, Freeze, ACC) to anyone lacking a unique who can use it

  20.                 Once Krysta knew what she needed to do next, an armored individual would arrive to the scene, their yellow cursor turning red. "You there! Your assault ends now!" They declared, pointing their double bladed axe towards Krysta. Krysta would ready her weapon, expecting this foe to be yet another hireling. Krysta's sword art nearly failed to damage the enemy, but Krysta wasn't expecting <<Knightmare>> to appear above their HP.

"What is the meaning of this?" Krysta thought. "Is this an entity of the floor I have yet to see? Were they brought forth from another floor?" No, no this couldn't possibly be the answer... "Could...could the Cardinal have influenced this NPC based on their environment, changing them and their name to fit their position?"
Perhaps there was only one way to figure this out. "Who are you?" She asked as her weapon locked with her foe's. "I, am a high ranking warrior of the Titanium Knights. I am one of the select few who reach this lofty position within this esteemed guild. I am, a Knightmare!" They stated with pride. Was the Cardinal truly capable enough of reshaping NPC hirelings that were seemingly "Nameless", redesigning them if they ever became full members of a guild or organization? To Krysta, this was a shocking new development, that NPCs could undergo changes like these. If the Titanium Knights guild were truly sending the best among their NPCs, they were serious about getting rid of her. The princess would need to face their leader in a duel if she ever got a chance to.
The Knightmare ended the lock by shoving Krysta back, before landing a heavy strike with their axe.

  21.                "Just a little more!" Krysta thought aloud. She readied her sword art, Celestial Sweep, yet another time, and with the hit she dealt, the main cannon stopped moving, and appeared to be shutting down. The loot menu would appear in front of her, but then that familiar, dangerous heat would be felt around Krysta, as well as a noise that suggested the weapon was still trying to charge. This could only mean one thing. It was time to clear the area and give the entity she defeated a considerably wide berth.

No longer than four seconds after she'd distanced herself from the weapon, a flash of light followed by an explosion that looked rather devastating. What was left was burning scrap, and the area caught in the blast was also either charred or ablaze with flames...
The Bardiche...perhaps it could be destroyed. This idea lit up within Krysta's mind. She now knew how she was going to stop this organization's plan. Crippling the ship's offensive power wasn't enough to stall them forever, she would need to make sure this ship perished.

Ellyria was jumped when the main cannon exploded, and the others in the control room were freaked for a short moment, some even screamed. Once Ellyria saw the damage that was done to her ship, she then looked among the controls and displays. One in particular was displaying something that would probably be seen differently by NPCs...it was a health bar, with the name <<Bardiche>>. Her ship was destructible. After a deep growl, she turned to face her subordinates. "I want all vital components of the ship guarded! Set up morality blockades, send the hirelings to face her in battle and wear her down! We can't let her destroy our ship!" She commanded. Player and NPC alike would scramble through as they rushed to make use of this defensive tactic.

  22.                 Ellyria was becoming furious. Not entirely at Krysta, and certainly not her subordinates. No, she was irritated by how feeble this weapon's defenses were. This was a glaring weakness, and the sum that Ellyria and her guild had paid was a hefty one. Regardless of whether there will be victory or defeat, she would need to have a few words with that fool who negotiated the prices with her...

Vulban was more than simply concerned at this point. He may have been succeeding in firing at Krysta thus far, but the advantage had remained Krysta's. He growled with futile rage as he watched the cannon take heavy damages from Krysta's next Sword Art, Luna Regalia, given further power by her weapon's holy properties. His anguish did not lessen when he managed to have Krysta struck with another cannonball, for she still wasn't letting up or faltering. He could not manage to drive her off. "She's more persistent than I imagined!" Vulban remarked, his scowl unfading. Ellyria looked to one of the Knightmares that wasn't a player. "You! Go out there and stop her NOW!" She commanded. The NPC Knightmare would nod in understanding and leave the room to head for the surface deck.

    Abilities:

Cannon Fire: A typical attack from one of the side cannons attached to the main. Fires simple cannonballs that stuns a target on a MD roll of 9-10.
Primary Weapon: The Main Cannon's fearsome, powerful blast, becomes available when <<Charge>> Reaches 60, in which it will then be used on the next turn. An AoE attack dealing 200 damage that inflicts T4 Burn on any successful hit and ignores half the target's mitigation on a MD roll of 9-10.
<<Charge>>: <<Charge>> will increase in value equal to the LD on <<Bardiche Main Cannon>>'s roll, and resets to 0 when <<Primary Weapon>> is used.
Machine, not Man: <<Bardiche Main Cannon>> is immune to Stun, Delay, Bleed, Paralytic Venom and Envenom status ailments.

  23.           Vulban couldn't let this keep up, the Main Cannon had already taken far more than enough damage. "Ethan, get up, I'll be manning the cannon controls now, I can't let that blonde cripple our ship's main weapon! If she breaks it, The Bardiche little more than a modified common airship made from military grade material topped with scrap." He ordered.
The NPC got up from the seat where the cannon's controls were, and Captain Vulban took his place.
"Alright, you little girl, it's time we stopped messing about, shall we?" He remarked, not that Krysta could hear.

Krysta would attack with Celestial Sweep, causing the cannon's HP to drop below half. The cannon would pivot more swiftly than it usually had during this fight. Whatever was making the actions of this cannon, it was clear it was done playing around. A Cannonball struck Krysta's side, but the impact was not enough to stun her. This might not have been over yet, but it would be, soon.

  24.            To say that things have turned in Krysta's favor would be an understatement. The princess was winning this battle against an NPC controlled machine.

The NPC working with the weapon's controls, had signs of stress on his expression, over how he wasn't managing to stop one individual. Ellyria was silent, but clearly peeved about this whole situation. Vulban slammed his fist down on the controls twice, in confusion and aggravation. "How?? How is our ship's main cannon losing to a blonde with a sword?? It makes no! Damn! Sense!" He uttered out, slamming his fist three more times at the end. The NPC operating the cannon noticed something that could have been good news for them. "The weapon's ready to fire again!" He called out. Captain Vulban seemed a bit relieved, despite that Krysta was attempting yet another attack. "Shake her off with a pivot, get her in the weapon's firing range!"
Krysta would find herself flung a few meters, and as she was getting back up, she felt the presence of a familiar, dangerous heat as she heard the sound of gathering energy.

    "That's it...steady....aim..."
Krysta had to time this correctly, or she'd get caught in the blast.

    "FIRE!!!!"

Krysta dashed to her right with all due haste, managing to escape the attack and the radius of the blast once again.

"Aaaaaarrrgggh, missed again!" The NPC growled. "She's faster than I thought, how is she even doing this? We haven't even hit her with the weapon once! Just a cannonball or two!"

  25.          Krysta saw an icon for a positive status. Her most powerful Sword Art was available. She took position to activate it, and her weapon glowed, more intensely than with other sword arts.

"That Glow!" Ellyria observed. "Someone, stop her now!"
Captain Vulban wasted no time in issuing the order for his subordinate.
    "Fire! Now!"

Krysta managed to jump over, resulting in a near miss for the cannonball, but it did not stop the momentum Krysta had for her sword art. She leapt once more, as she set her sword art in motion.
            "Lumina Majestica!"

Cloaked entirely in Light, Krysta would unleash a barrage of strikes against the Bardiche Main Cannon, following with one extra strike with all that light moving to the blade, and bursting with power on impact in a radiant flash of light. The Bardiche Main Cannon might not have dropped below half, but it was getting awfully close, and signs of damage and wear were starting to show on it. Krysta's assault had already begun to take its toll on the weapon.
